The experience was 100%. I’ve fallen in love quicker than I expected with Australia. Had such a warm hug of a tour guide, Misty is magic, a warm hug personified, carrying the most amazing informative stories, and illusions and we never missed a bird or kanga or emu as she made sure we all saw them. Thoroughly enjoyable day out. Was amazing to see wild kangaroos, emus and cockatoos. Special mention to J-Dog - she was outstanding. So knowledgable, engaging, and genuinely loves what she does. She really made the trip! The hikes themselves were short and not intense, with some great views.

Great Grampians scape!

Janet was amazing guiding us throughout the day, giving us a great insight about Australian culture and showing huge respect for the First Nation people and their role in Australian history. She went out of her way to make sure we could see wild life and we saw kangaroos and emus!! We spent a very pleasant day and she made us achieve so much in just one day!! Thanks Janet or “J-dog”!! Exceptional Experience

Tour was amazing and took in some amazing scenery and experiences. Driver Wes was the best. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Always made sure we were looked after and were briefed on a number of interesting facts. The tour was made better by his exceptional expertise, knowledge and personality.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Highly recommended! The sights at the Grampians were simply breathtaking! Some workout (Clocked in some cardio and legs day) required, especially when hiking down to Mackenzies Falls and back up again. A little regret was missing the visit to the balconies due to inclement weather but will defo book another trip to the Grampians when I'm back in Melbourne! Our guide Janet (J-Dog) was very engaging and kept the whole trip very fun. Loved how she shared so much about the wildlife and culture of Straya and her own anecdotes throughout the trip. She made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the trip and offered alternatives to us when we were at Mackenzies Falls. Even managed to spot a mob of roos and an emu during this trip!

This was a great tour that my girlfriend and I really enjoyed!!

My girlfriend and I looked on Viator for some full day sightseeing options, and really got interested in seeing the Grampians, even though neither of us had ever heard of the national park. This had the best reviews and we loved the tour and experience. We got lucky and had great weather so all the views were clear. People complain about the walk down/up related to the waterfalls, and while yes it is steep with lots of steps, even people with just an okay fitness level can handle it. Our tour guide was fantastic and made the experience even better, and we were both really happy with how the day went. We felt we did have enough time at all the spots we stopped at, but that also might be because the Aboriginal museum wasn't open or available, so we might have spent more time at some spots than other groups have in the past who were able to go to the museum and center. I'm 6'5" and bigger, so yes the bus/minivan was super small, but I was able to make it through just fine.

Best trip we’ve had

This is a must do tour , it was very laid back not getting rushed around from one place to another and we saw so much wildlife and beautiful scenery . There is a climb down to the waterfall which is strenuous but you don’t have to do it no one is forcing anyone. Steve our guide was one in a million a perfect guide , very knowledgeable, welcoming and a genuine nice guy . Great day out

A great day out wasn't tiring like some tours. The driver/tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Felt safe in the bus. The main staple in the good stops were pastries, pies, and sausage rolls, probably because of the time of the year it was bust.

Great experience

Excellent tour with Britney the tour guide. Very well organized. Pickup was on time, it was a long day, but the scenery is amazing. Highly recommended.

Spectacular views

Daniel was a personable, entertaining guide who managed to bring us to spectacular views of the Grampians, even despite the foggy weather.

Amazing grampians trip!

Our guide was Daniel, it was a lovely experience and he was very knowledgeable and funny, keeping the trip light and enjoyable! He brought us down to all the viewing spots and showed us the wildlife as well as keeping the schedule suited to our group's preferences! Daniel definitely made our trip more memorable and it will be something we will look back on for a long time :)

Lizzies Music and Grampians Tour

The tour was great the Grampians day tour is a trip to put on your bucket list the views are breath taking and McKenzie Water Fall is amazing Our guide lizzy was amazing very informative on the history and we had lots of laughs also the music lizzy had went with the trip such as Indiana Jones theme going up the mountain

Fantastic day

Great trip - first day tour in Melbourne since Covid started. Of course, there are changes, like having to check in via the QR code provided, showing my vaccination status, masks required and there's a hand sanitiser on board. Our guide, Lizzie, arrived with her trusty steed, Priscilla, on time. The check in process was smooth and then we were on our way. We made it to all the places mentioned in the itinerary, in a timely manner, with just enough commentary and brilliant selection of music. Lizzie was very helpful - she gave clear instructions, great tips, made sure everyone was comfortable, helped take photos and even went the extra mile to ensure we saw some kangaroos, despite the heat. We also had enough time for everything we wanted to do. When we were at Mackenzie Falls, Lizzie advised that either we go to the bottom of the falls via a set of 260 steps and then maybe one of the lookouts around the trail or go to the Mackenzie Falls lookout, which was a longer distance but with generally flat terrain. I would say that if you're fit enough to climb the stairs without much rest and do not spend a lot of time at the falls, especially if it is crowded, it is possible to make it for both the falls and the lookout. Otherwise, most people would only be able to make it for either the falls or the lookout. I prefer the lookout, though, as it was a weekend when I went and there were many people at the falls. We got back a little earlier than expected and Lizzie made sure the routing was such that everyone got dropped off at their convenience. Once again, thanks to Lizzie and Priscilla for making my trip an amazing one.

Day trip to the Grampians

The trip included all the highlights of this beautiful area. The commentary from the guide John was informative and interesting. Time at each sight was limited and felt rushed, arriving back in Melbourne earlier than advertised. There was no Skydeck option on this trip.

Brilliant day out to the Grampians, Got to see some amazing sights ,learnt a lot from our tour guide / Driver DANIEL. He made sure our day was perfect ,looked after me especially with my bad knee so I did not miss nothing

We had John as our driver/guide. He gave some interesting and fun facts along the road. Comfortable van, and easy pick up and drop-off. As the weather on our trip was a bit cloudy and we had a little bit of rain John shifted the order of things around a bit but we got to see all the highlights. As we were able to stay on schedule we were able to squeeze in a wine tasting at the end of the trip. Overall, even though we did not have a much sun it was still a great day!

Amazing

What a great day tour this was the guide was just so informative and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour. Pickup was very punctual. Pizza for lunch was great. A little walking to lookouts no great distances.

Beautiful views!

The day was really nice, it's a long drive from Melbourne but the nature and the views are definitely worth it. Jerry was knowledgable and took us to an extra spot, the Grand Canyon, which was by far the nicest view. The pizza for lunch was great too. Thanks for a good tour.

Over all good

The van seat was not very comfortable and could not recline to take a break. The tour was overall good. Kids were excited

A superb tour, guide, and company!

This was by far one of the best day tours I have ever done! The Grampians is an incredible place and I highly recommend visiting even if only for a day – next time I’m doing several days for more hiking, nature, and views! Autopia Tours and our guide, Jerry, were exceptional! This day tour is well crafted and even allowed for extra stops since we were a small, punctual group. Jerry is full of knowledge on everything tour related from history to wildlife to geology and even trees. The drive to/from the Grampians is long, but Jerry’s passion for guiding and nature is energizing and sure to keep you engaged and learning, or simply just chatting, the entire way. I can’t recommend this tour, company, and guide enough!

Excellent. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the small group tour. Pickup for me was convenient at St. Paul Cathedral near Flinders Street station. Great there’s water, hand sanitizer and wifi onboard (when there’s coverage). Maybe USB charging ports next? Haha! Morning tea and lunch were decent and I wasn’t expecting too much. But bring along your own food if you’re a fussy eater. Not many food choices on the way. Glen’s (or Glenn?) a great guide, even a little hiccup when a participant misplaced her phone didn’t bother him. Especially love the nice touch of playing music by Australians. Highly recommend!

Awesome Itinerary and very well Organised!

Great day out

The Grampians are a sublime place to visit, with various lookouts and walks to soak up stunning views. Our guide Fraser was knowledgeable and friendly, and ensured that we saw as much as we could before our return to Melbourne.

Nice tour but wished for more of a hike

The tour was very nice, beautiful views, cool tour guide, worth going. I just wished for some more hiking and it was more of a drive around but other than that everything was really nice

Amazing Grampians day

I did the tour last month and it was wonderful! Craig was our tour guide and he was really friendly and helpful. Also he told us a lot on the way about places where we drove by. The group was fun and we made a lot of great pictures. Can recommend this trip and also with this tourguide!

Highly recommended

Right from the 7:15am departure from St Paul's cathedral, we knew this was going to be a AMAZING day out. Henning our tour guide is 10 star awesome, his sense of humour & knowledge about the tour was on point. Our first stop was Beaufort & had a cuppa & a biscuit. Then we made our way to Halls Gap & visit the cultural centre where we learnt about the aboriginal culture. Lunch is included in the ticket price & we got a large pizza between two people. OH. MY. GOD. Then we spent time visiting Mackenzie Falls. Fitness level is 3 out of 5 rating.. Walking down the Falls is fine but walking all the way back up is challenging, so if you're fitish then you can do this, if you have medical problems maybe just walk to the falls lookout. You won't be disappointed with this trip.

Best day tour ever!

We had an enjoyable trip with Autopia day tour. Our tour guide, Darren, is very friendly and awesome! He knows his fact well and gives very good information about each place we visit. He also give us tips on how and where to take good pictures. The Grampians is an amazing place filled with beauty of nature. Anyone who loves nature should definitely give this place a visit! We're loving the tour and our tour guide! Definitely recommending this to everyone out there!

The best trip to experience the Grampians!

We had an awesome trip in the Grampians! The sights were beautiful and we made enough stops to see as much as possible, without it being too much. The Translation App was very easy to use and because of that, my group of friends was able to understand everything and to get a good explanation about the surroundings so thank you very much for that!!! :) Awesome trip and total recommendation for everyone visiting Melbourne.

Must do

2 of us went on this full day tour. We had to go to another hotel a very short walk away as they didn't pick up from our hotel at 7.45. Not any problem. Do wear comfortable walking shoes. We did short stop in Ballarat for a comfort stop and morning tea/cake provided by the tour company. Then drive to Halls Gap . Paul our driver and guide was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing scenery and McKenzie Falls was highlight. Tip - the walk on sealed path down to McKenzie Falls includes 300 steps .As the rain stayed away , we were able to also do the Grand Canyon walk. Saw plenty of Kangaroos. Got back to hotel around 8.30pm .

Breathtaking sights

When we were planning to choose which tour operator to choose we decided to read many of the reviews on TripAdvisor to see which one suit our liking with their itinerary. And we decided on Autopia Day Tour as we were staying in an apartment in the CBD in Vic, we check with them if they will take us they email us a location to wait for pick up which was like about 10 mins away! from where we were staying. Our guide for the day was Darren, a wonderful and polite guy. Who make sure we are comfortable and well. There was about 20 of us the adult. The pickup time was punctual and the ride was okay for us. We were a family of 4 adults. Along the way to the Grampians, we pass by great views of the surrounding stop by for tea in the morning and a lovely hot pizza lunch in the park. It a long ride but the breathtaking sight of the Grampians is so grand. We Love it! Thank you, Autopia for a memorable trip. And thank you, Darren, for your good service.

Day trip to the Grampians

Breathtaking views from the top and had a wonderful time at the McKenzie Falls and the small towns. Our guide Tim from Autopia Tours gave us fantastic insights into history of the places we visited. His songs selection during the drive were also very cool.Nice idea by him to have ice breaking session for us in the minibus to get to know about each others countries.

Adventurers for a day :)

Our tour guide Jiri did a fantastic job showing us around the Grampians National Park! He shared his comprehensive knowledge about Australian wildlife and history which was very informative, interesting as well as very entertaining. He immediately conntected with the whole group, was very helpful and responsive to the group's needs and wishes and made everybody have an unforgetable time. Jiri even added an extra stop to our list and took us to the 'Grand Canyon'. I had an amazing time doing the 1 Day Grampians Tour, I very much enjoyed the destinations we went to and highly recommend booking this tour!! Thanks a lot :) Oh, and for those of you hoping to see kangaroos.. you will not be disappointed :)

Excellent day tour

I did the Grampians Great Escape tour as a day trip from Melbourne. Actually booked via a middle-man company who then sent me details of my tour with Autopia. The experience was really good - info from the company before my tour was clear and informative, the minibus was clean, the tour guide was enthusiastic, friendly and helpful and the stops we did gave a great taste of what the Grampians National Park has to offer. A long-ish (pick up @ 7ish and return at 8ish) but great day out!

1 Day Grampians Tour

Probably one of the best tours I have been on around Australia. Our guide Dave was one of the best tour guides I have come across. He was a really funny guy who knew everything about Grampians and made the effort to get to know everyone on the bus and where they came from which I have found some tour guides in the past haven't bothered to do that. The grampians themselves were great to see, amazing views and the walk down to mackenzie falls was worth it. Definitely recommend this tour guide and if you have time make the effort to come back there and explore more of the grampians.
