We had an amazing time on tour with Melvin today. He is very knowledgeable with the history of Australia / Melbourne and knows the good (must-see) spots. And he is very accommodating to our needs and pace. Last but not least, he is a good and safe driver. Very enjoyable trip!

Beautiful views

Ross was a great tour guide! The views of the 12 apostles were stunning!! It’s a bit of a long day but filled with beautiful views. We even got to see wild kangaroos and koalas in nature which was so special!

A great way to see a great road!

Melvin truly made our Great Ocean Ride memorable. Not only is he a great guide, but also very patient with adults and kids alike. We really enjoyed the great views, all the nuggets of history and a very comfortable drive.

An Absolute Must

Melvin was beyond phenomenal! Seriously one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch tour. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best tour possible and made us feel very at home. He knows how to avoid the big tour crowds so you can truly enjoy your tour. His vehicle was comfortable and clean. The great ocean tour was long but absolutely worth it and Melvin’s tour made it that much better. Can’t recommend him enough.

THE HIGHLIGHT of our 21 days in Australia and New Zealand

Ange was an excellent guide. He picked us up promptly at our hotel, customized the day to our needs/wants and provided knowledgable commentary throughout the day. The bakery cookies where we stopped for a morning break were perfection. We skipped lunch, stopping mid-afternoon for ice cream that we ate in the car. We were entertained from beginning to end by Ange and the amazing views. Truly a day to remember for the rest of our lives.

Great Ocean Road Trip

Melvin was friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites we visited, the flora and fauna and the entire area. He was conscientious of our time constraints, and worked with us to get the most out of our trip. We were treated to some wonderful small town restaurants on our trip out and back! Wonderful trip with Ange! :)

We had a really great time visiting the 12 Apostles! Ange was very on time, polite and insightful. He brought us not only to all the best spots to take pictures, but also to the best lunch spot (we had really, really fresh seafood)! Must do tour

While scenery was certainly very beautiful, our guide/driver Ange was fantastic. My family and I had good conversations with him throughout the tour. Drive was long but time went by fast.

Great family fun at the Penguin Parade

Watching the penguin parade was truly memorable. Also had a great time watching Kangaroos, Koalas and other Australian speciality animals at the Moonlit Sanctuary. Our guide was awesome.

We had Anje as our guide, and although the weather wasn’t cooperating, we had a fabulous day! He made a lot of stops, recommended a delicious place for lunch, we had coffee breaks and saw all the beautiful scenery in between. The car was very clean, Anje was an absolute pleasure to talk with and he had anything and everything we needed! Highly recommended! Thank you for helping us make a very memorable day!

We were very disappointed in our guide. His limited knowledge of the geology of the area, as well as flora and fauna made for unenlightened tour. We appreciated the scenery and enjoyed seeing the Great Ocean Road and monoliths, but it could have been so much more.

Phillip Island and Great Ocean Road - Melvin is the best

We used Melvin for a private Phillip Island Tour as well as for a private Great Ocean Road tour on a different day. Melvin is very easy to communicate with. He responds by email within 24h and is very organized. He also responds via Whats App. For Phillips Island, he picked us up at the airport, took us to Nobbies and a couple of hidden spots prior to the Penguin tour. He pre purchased our tickets and told us where to sit and was waiting for us at the end. It was a very long day and it was wonderful to fall asleep with no worries on the way back to the hotel. After a long flight, having everything taken care of was a big relief. For Great Ocean Road, I think Melvin went above and beyond for us as the trip was about twelve hours total. Melvin knows the best spots, how to avoid the large buses, has keen eye to find then Koalas, and knows every km of the road. For both tours, Melvin is wonderful to talk too. He knows a lot about the area and Australian history. It was easy to chat with him for a couple of hours at a time. For the Great Ocean Road especially, I highly recommend booking Melvin instead of driving yourself so you can enjoy the scenery vs worry about the road. Also I recommend booking Melvin so you know you will have a good experience vs trying to save some money on a less expensive option. His Mercedes van is very comfortable. He provides water and usb chargers. He drives very well on the windy roads so you feel safe. You are paying for peace of mind to know you will have a good experience regardless of traffic, rain, etc. He will get you the best trip you can have regardless of the unforeseen and you will not be stressed. I would recommend doing a 2 day tour in Great Ocean Road vs 1. There is just so much to see. We may try to do that next time. Melvin is also great for tips in Melbourne in general. We won’t hesitate to use him again on our next trip to Melbourne.

My tour guide Ross was amazing. He answered every single question I had, took a detour to show me kangaroos, stopped whenever I needed to eat or use services and hit all the points on the great road even repeating a stop when I decided to explore it further. Just an overall great experience and I was treated well and with respect.

Mr. Melvin Muhaso was very professional and knowledgeable about the places we went to on the Tours of Great Ocean Road Drive and the Mornington Peninsula with Moonlit Sanctuary and penguin Parade. My husband and son enjoyed conversing with him esp in the long drives. His vehicles were clean and comfortable. He was always patient and gracious with our family group and offered to take our family pictures when he was with us. The Long and Winding Road…Great Ocean Road, Melbourne 🇦🇺

The drive is absolutely spectacular along the coast, through parks and rainforests, farm lands, small towns. There are look outs from where one can view the limestone formations that are rocks in the middle of the sea. Truly a memorable experience.

Amazing experience

Had a Great day. Drive was amazing. The private tour made the travel with my little kids very easy. They have even provided baby car seats. The tour guide was very friendly and patient.

Excellent way to visit the Great Ocean Road

Had a wonderful time visiting the Great Ocean Road. Melvin was excellent, he showed us great locations at our own pace and avoiding the crowds as much as possible. Wonderful tour - Melvin was Great

Our tour of the Great Ocean Road was great. Melvin did a fantastic job. It is not a short ride but he made it very enjoyable. He knew the best way to perform the route and how to avoid the crowds as much as possible. He took us to wonderful locations to admire the particular landscape from this coast. Melvin was very flexible and very professional. Vehicle was very comfortable, clean, fully stocked with water, great music and Melvin also surprised us with wi-fi on the way back. When asked why he did not mention the wi-fi on the way out his honest response was “if I give you wi-fi, you will not admire the beauty of the scenery “. This is a great way to visit the Great Ocean Road without the inconvenience and hassle of large group tours.
