It was an amazing experience and I'm so glad that I did it. I did not tell anybody that I was going for this activity until I did it! When I sent the photo and video to my family and friends, their reaction ~ Priceless! 😅 Thanks to my instructor Simon for bringing me back to earth safely. I will do it again!!

Worth every single penny

The most incredible experience of our lives! From start to finish, we were well taken care of, particularly by our instructors Tony K, Kenny, Louie and Vova, making sure we were comfortable and excited for our jump. They also put hard work into each of our pictures and videos, letting us show off the incredible views of Melbourne to our family and friends. Couldn't recommend it enough.

This was my second jump. The first in Hawaii four years ago. Good views of Melbourne and was able to enjoy the jump better second time around. The jump was well organised and Lucus a good instructor. If I can do a skydive at 64, anybody can do it.

AMAZING THRILL

AMAZING. INCREDIBLE. A MUST DO. We were a little nervous to start but the instructors did a great job making us feel safe. It was the most amazing experience and our whole group wanted to immediately do it again. I’m so glad I took a chance and booked this!

Fantastic experience

I was already super excited for my first tandem jump, but I was not prepared for how exceptional this would turn out to be! I jumped with Louis who was so kind and incredible that I was completely at ease and able to enjoy every second. Thank you so much Louis for making this the best experience of my life and for making this jump extra special! This one skydiving experience has totally won me over any bungee jumping moments :) Everyone at Skydive Australia was friendly, fun and super knowledgable. You were all so welcoming and passionate, I cannot wait to be back for another jump in Melbourne. The whole process was smooth and I especially recommend to get the video & pictures!

Give it a go, you won't regret it!

It was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life!!! To calm my nerves, my instructor Vova subtly kept talking to me during the flight & removing my tight grips on parts of the airplane! Strangely it helped & I was not scared during the actual jump! the freedom one feels during the freefall or while gently swaying over the bay & the city, was absolutely beautiful !! Definitely a must do. Thank you Skydive Melbourne!

Missing engagement ring

Really wish I could give a great review. My husband and I went skydiving at St Kilda Easter Saturday, and while we had an amazing time with the instructors, please, please, PLEASE do not leave your belongings in the lockers provided. I took my three rings off and put them in my bag, inside the lockers (as jewellery is recommended to be taken off). As it's based on a trust system, we gave the key to the staff to take care of as they said we couldn't take the key skydiving. Coming back, found that my engagement ring had gone missing. This has so much sentimental value as my husband went all the way to NYC to get it. This is such a bittersweet experience, such highs from the skydiving experience, to such lows. Anyways PLEASE leave your valuables at home if you do end up taking on this experience. I am distraught!

An absolute must!!

Wow what an incredible experience! I must say I was sceptical about this experience from the very beginning, I felt very nervous and many times thought of not going through with the jump but I am thrilled that I did. The instructor I was pairs with was Kev and he was AMAZING! He helped calm my nerves by making jokes, keeping up conversation and even singing whilst in the plane. If you are ever thinking of going sky diving (or even if you aren’t), skydiving Melbourne is most certainly the place to go And for those of you thinking about getting the photos and videos they were definitely worth. Thanks for the amazing day and helping me through all my nervousness, doubt and uncertainty.

Awesome experience!

Booked in for my wifes 30th birthday weeks ago. We were both nervous and excited from start til the end. And the peak was before jumping off. Both our instructor, Kez and Igor were friendly and helped us calm our asses 😀 The staff were excellent and explained everything properly. We bought the package with photos and videos. My wife's set of photos and video were great! Unfortunately mine was ugly as hell(my fault), as I cant contain myself😅 Will definitely go again soon and recommend to friends!

Gone wrong

I had a terrible experience with my jump and my instructor. The first problem was minimum instructor’s communication with me as I told him this is my first experience (not any information from him). Second problem was my too tight leg strips left the big mark on my inner thigh with lots pain during and after jump which prevented me to enjoy the jump. When I asked my instructor about tight strips prior jump, he smiled and said this is normal. Finally, we jumped the second person but landed at least 20 seconds prior the first person. (I share my experience with four other friends who jumped with me but they haven’t had such experiences). After contacting the Skydive Australia, they supported their staff and said we had a successful landing and that person is with them for long time. ( they will talk to him) I am recommending to re-consider your decision to jump with SkyDive Australia or find a good instructor (not long time career) from other suggestions including me below, as your most beautiful moments could turn to most painful 😥 and awful moments. But in other hand, my wife had a beautiful experience for her birthday present with Clay. (Shad had fears from height). He was so friendly with amazing communication and Smooth landing. You made a wonderful memory for my wife Clay. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I highly recommended Clay and Vova ( my friend’s instructor).

Awesome experience!

Great team! My tandem partner was Igor, awesome guy who ended up having one of the coolest photo's I've ever seen. Would highly recommend this. This was my second skydive and definitely the better of the two. Views are unreal! Only problem I had was with my goggles, they almost came off but ended up just blocking my vision for most of the free fall, still an amazing experience though.

It was definitely one of the scariest but most exhilarating experiences of my life that I will never ever forget. Free falling from 15,000 feet is amazing and the adrenaline rush is crazy. It’s addictive. Honestly, I felt no fear when we jumped out of the plane because I know I’m in good hands. Thanks to Derec for being such a wonderful instructor. I think people should do something scary once in a while. I will definitely do skydiving again!

Highly Experienced Professionals

I have just completed my first skydive with Rich at Skydive Melbourne - Amazing! From the first contact the team have been amazing. So friendly accommodating and positive. I needed to change my days a couple of times (well in advance) and my time once. Nothing was too much trouble. Great communications, no surprises and highly professional approach. I was apprehensive about the jump (if you aren’t you’re not right). Rich, my instructor was fantastic. Everything explained fully and calmly, but in a laid back way. Perfect. The jump itself is awesome, as expected. Great views over the place I live - A different perspective. If you are going to jump - I cannot recommend Skydive Melbourne and Rich highly enough. 100% in absolutely every front. Thank you all and cheers.

Amazing experience

Was such a great experience to have with my best friend and Jay was such a great skydiving instructor. He could tell I was nervous as and kept my nerves down as much as possible! Could not believe we were jumping out of the plane first. The whole experience was well orchestrated too :) getting to sit down in the waiting area beforehand and watch other groups of skydivers jump out of their plane was so surreal too :) Thanks Jay for dealing with my nerves. Would go again!

Finally!

Visiting Australia for the first time and we had scheduled a skydive for one of our last few days in the country. Due to the horrible fires ravaging Australia our day was cancelled because the smoke was so bad that the planes were being grounded. We thought about just cancelling altogether and we were offered a refund because we had to return to Russia, but we thought we would give it another try so we rescheduled for two days later. When we arrived, the smoke had cleared but the weather had turned and we found the skydive had been delayed again due to heavy rain and low clouds. There are things to see and do nearby, as well as a nice cafe right next door, so we stuck it out. Glad we did! The weather cleared and we were able to go! Even though the weather delay did cost us time, it was well worth the wait. The staff was great, kept us informed, and worked with us as best they could to either get us skydiving or to get us a refund if we were not able to jump at all. Alex was my tandem instructor and he was awesome. He made me feel at ease and answered any questions that I had. His video footage and pics were just what I was expecting, from pre-flight to on-board, to the jump itself, both free-falling and after the parachute opening to the landing. It was such a fun experience and I really look forward to doing this again in the near future.

Long long long wait again and again

My wife did this a year ago and we turned up in plenty of time to find out everything was delayed, beautiful day so no weather problems just bad organisation. Today turned up with our three children and already an hour and a half late and yet again no weather issues just bad organisation. I would have hoped that the $1,500 paid would mean that we weren’t spending yet another day just sitting around. Be prepared for extremely long delays irrelevant of weather conditions.

Completed a tandem skydive this morning with Rich, what a fabulous experience! Rich was an absolute pro, reassured me all the way and thanks to his calming effect I was able to relax and actually enjoy every second in the lead up to the jump, and the jump itself. Overall the whole end to experience on the day was very efficient, and I felt safe in the hands of everyone at Skydive Australia. First time I have had a celebratory champers before 10.30am in a while!

Wonderful experience

Skydive has been in my bucket list for long time and it is my must-do item in Australia. I checked in at the skydive centre at 8:30am and the staff there helped to dress up. After watching the safety instruction video, we departed the centre and went to the airport at 10:00am. We landed on the beach in St. Kilda at around 11:00am. Then I waited the photos and video for around 20 minutes. Thanks for my instructor Kev's professional guide. He instructed me patiently before the skydive. The experience was really wonderful and I will definitely do it again.

110% GO FOR IT!!

it was my first time skydiving, and my instructor Alex went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable! I felt safe the entire time, and always more hyped than nervous! I even got to do a few spins when the parachute came out, it is honestly In my top 3 life experiences. (I went with a good friend which calmed the nerves a bit, but everyone else in the group was doing it solo!). Just do it, book today - it's worth the money!

Will definitely do it again

I originally booked to skydive at Byron bay, but due to bad weather, I had to reschedule my dive and did it in Melbourne instead. The skydiving crew was great, but the waiting kind of made the experience more nerve wracking. Jayke was professional and made me feel safe with the whole diving process.

I loved every second of it!

The staff were fantastic, and the whole experience was AMAZING! I can’t even put into words how much I loved it (so much that I jumped for a second time within a week of my first jump!) Highly recommend Skydive Melbourne!

Safe and secure

The team is very professional and thorough. Unfortunately for me, I think I psyched myself out so I was catatonic up until the point when the skydiver deployed our chute. But after that, the view was spectacular. Sorry for the TMI, but I up-chucked when we landed, and I wasn't alone. It's an experience I will never forget, but will probably not do it again.

Face your fears and do it anyway!

Still running on adrenaline from such an incredible experience! All the team at Skydive Melbourne were brilliant - clearly safety is the number 1 priority but so is having a great time! My instructor James was particularly awesome, I was more than just a little nervous and his support was fantastic. There are no words to adequately describe the jump itself, the worst part is honestly the waiting, once you’re out of the plane and free falling through the sky, it’s a completely surreal - and addictive - feeling, and floating down over St Kilda with the city in the distance was something I will never forget. If you are planning on doing a jump, be flexible and prepared in case of weather and air traffic control delays - in the end we were delayed 3 hours from our original jump time but were kept informed all the way through. I recommend this to everyone and wouldn’t do it with anyone else other than Skydive Australia.

Amazing experience

I had my first skydive on Sunday for my 40th birthday after it was postponed on my actual birthday due to the weather. The communication leading up to the day was fantastic and we didn’t have too long of a wait on the day. James was fantastic and very upbeat which helped calm my nerves. I was terrified as I’ve had a fear of heights for as long as I can remember. However I had the absolute best time and would do it again to really appreciate the view and the actual skydive itself. My only feedback was that it would’ve been good to be told what things meant such as the countdown before the parachute was opened so I knew what the signals were for. Would definitely recommend Melbourne Skydive to anyone wanting to Skydive.

Was over in oz from scotland for 3 weeks and my parter booked a sky dive for herself and me and cant say enough how great out experience with these guys The jump itself over Melbourne was awsome and made easy buy the top class tandom instructor igor i had who made me feel safe and relaxed from start to finish defo a 5 stars to these guys

Best Experience Ever

Six of us went skydiving we had an age range from early 30s to late 60s and everyone one of us finished the dive exhilarated and smiling. From the moment you sign up you are given boost in confidence, everything is explained so well all the nerves vanish. The flight is exciting but the dive is just brilliant and the views of Melbourne are mind blowing; your bird like day dreaming comes to a a sudden end. You the finish your decent floating on a parachute; the landing is easy as long as you follow the instructions. It was a wonderful experience and one I will try and do again.

Must do

I wanna have sky diving 20 years ago but for some reasons not did it! This time in Melbourne I must do it! A plane with 8 participants, 8 coaches & a captain took us up to around 15000 ft! When u really did it, u won’t feel scared coz it is too fast to jump out of plane! During 60 second free falling, it’s amazing but wear more coz it’s freezing outside! Some participants including me felt “vomiting” coz the pressure dropped very quickly! After landing, such feeling was reduced! Anyway do it!

Surreal. Superb. Serene

I’m not sure there is much I can add to the comments made in other reviews, which explain just how fantastic an experience this is. I’m writing this as the Father of an 18 year old who jumped in January with her best friend - a Christmas gift from us ! The first jump was cancelled due to bad weather. As other reviews have pointed out, you really are at the mercy of the wind and weather. You need to allow at least a half day and be prepared to hang around for hours if the elements conspire against you. Safety first. The girls were kept informed so whilst it was incredibly frustrating there is nothing you can do. The cafe next door - The Great Provider - is a lovely place to relax in whilst you wait. Good coffee, great staff and nice views. On the second attempt the jump was again delayed but this time only by a few hours and again they were kept well informed. We arrived to watch them as they headed off to the airport - scared and excited ! About an hour later we watched them jump and nervously counted the parachutes open ! The day was beautiful. The weather was kind and the views stunning. They had an amazing time - “best thing we’ve ever done”. Watching people disappear out the plane had a sobering effect and the initial free fall was mildly terrifying but as soon as the parachute opened they relaxed and loved it. Words probably cannot express how much fun they had. Just amazing. The staff were superb, every one of them. The tandem instructors in particular made the girls feel safe and at ease and made sure they had fun. A final word for the optional video. At $160 I suspect it’s ridiculously overpriced and does leave a little bit of a sour taste as we all felt as though we were being ripped off - though it was absolutely our decision to buy it and we were not hassled. That said, it is an amazing memory and it’s very well constructed. Highly recommended !

Best Experience EVER

I checked with the team on their Facebook page if people wearing glasses could get on it. Very responsive and quick reply and good assistance. The experience was ONE OF A KIND. Gotta wait a bit to get on the plane but the instructors were so friendly and energetic. My German instructor, Rene, was so adorable and experienced and made sure I was comfortable and okay and had a good time all the way to the top and to the ground! I had to best time ever even if I was terrified the hell out of my life at first haha :-) The view was STUNNING. Such a rewarding moment when the parachute got pulled and you got to see Melbourne the most unique way ever with clear blue sky. The photos and videos were superrr AWESOME too. Thank you for making my top of to-do before I turn 40 bucket list ticked with such wonderful experience! Will deffo do it again and recommend everyone to do it once in their lifetime! Really good and professional skydive

We went for a skydive and it was a really good experience. The whole crew was very professional, and was focused on giving you the best experience. I got the video and picture package, and im very happy with the results.

Amazing Experience!!

Skydiving over St Kilda Beach was one of the most amazing experiences i have ever had! I was very fortunate to have a perfect day with no wind and no clouds. I loved every second of the of the jump from the free falling to floating under the parachute and being able to take in the amazing views of St Kilda beach and Melbourne. The crew at Skydive Melbourne, and especially my instructor Tony did an amazing job making sure i felt comfortable with the jump as well as making the whole experience as much fun as possible. I couldn't recommend this experience and this location more!!

I’ve fallen for Melbourne

What an amazing experience. Everything about this was smooth and professional. The driver picked us up on time, all of the demonstrations were clear and professional and everyone I encountered was amazing. My tandem diver was Jimmy and he did an amazing job at explaining everything and putting me at ease. The actual dive was incredible, I enjoyed everything from take off until touch down. The views during the free fall were absolutely stunning. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life.

You have 60s to feel the fear and fly!

It was more scary to watch the video than the actual jumping ! It is an amazing experience! The first 10-15 seconds were extremely scary, my instructor padded my shoulder twice to remind me to open my arms, I totally forgot ! but after that, it felt like flying, and started to really see the view, which is stunning ! Thanks Arnie the instructor for the great jump and landing, and the video, he helped to make this experience even more valuable and unforgettable ! and the video caught every moment that I would want to record into my memory!

Unreal experience

My first day skydive was with Skydive Melbourne and it was the greatest thing ever. The check in staff were amazing and the instructors you jump with are amazing. They have lockers to keep your stuff, a safety video, and will just all around provide you with all the information you need. Skydive Melbourne is right by St Kilda and easily accessible by transit

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

Originally I came to Australia saying "I'm never gonna do a skydive". Some people convinced me to do it anyway and I'm so glad they did!! It's absolutely amazing and stunning, when I did the jump is was a bit cloudy. Meaning there was a rainbow circle on the clouds. I LITERALLY FELL THROUGH A RAINBOW CIRClE!! How awesome is that? Not to mention the beautiful views once your beneath the clouds. Even if your terrified of doing it I really recommend the experience, you won't regret it and life is boring anyway when you don't go outside of your comfort zone every now and then.

Poor customer service

Didnt get to go sadly Communicated with them for 2 months before hand, mentoned i was a type 1 diabetic asking if i needed to do anything, they said no and just wanted me to book a slot decided to increase travel insurance to include sky diving got to melbourne and after reviewing weather asked to book the company got back to me and then stated i couldnt book without a doctors note saying i was fit to dive i understand that policy but my issues are: 1. why didnt they tell me this before in the 2 months we communicated whilst i was in the UK 2. no word of an apology if they forgot this or failed to mention this 3. I asked what i would have to do and no real help was given as to where to go or prices i found out later from tourist information this would be more difficult and may cost $80 which is much more expensive that in the UK we also spoke to people on the Gold Coast about sky diving in Melbourne with this company, both said to avoid them as their experiences were not good

Spectacular views! 1/3 places in the world that offer city views when skydiving!

I was supposed to do it in Sydney but was cancelled so I rebooked it for Melbourne. Felt pretty bummed about paying that extra AUD50 but turns out its more expensive bc of the city views. My instructor was Paul and he was so nice and could see I was getting nervous so just kept reminding me to take deep breaths and how fun it will be. Boy, it was! I felt so safe and after u pass through the clouds its just u ur instructor the view and the peace. This was my first time skydiving and I couldnt have picked a better company to do it with. 4 stars bc of the amount of delays and I wish the check in point had a heated area (other than the cafe) bc it was freezing while i was waiting.

MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

I cannot express how truly amazing this experience was and how helpful and accommodating the staff were. Our dive initially was delayed due to the weather in the morning and were advised well in advance via email, an hour later we were told to make our way down to St Kilda for the jump as the weather had improved. We were due to catch a flight to Sydney at 3pm that day so were very tight for time, we explained this to the staff and they were extremely helpful and even agreed to print our photos and film first to ensure we had as much time as possible in order to make our flight. The jump itself was breath taking, the views were incredible and Nick was an awesome person to jump with. He was friendly and funny and was a real pleasure to spend time with. I honestly think he made my jump exceed every expectation I could of had and eliminated whatever few fears I did have. From the second my feet touched the ground I wanted to do it again. I guarantee you will not regret this experience and you are in safe hands with Skydive Melbourne.

Amazing Experience

The sky dive over St Kilda was an absolutely amazing experience with beautiful views across Melbourne. It is very well organised with the staff doing their best to deal with situations out of their control such as cancellations and postponements due to wind (we had to reschedule our jump twice). It was such an incredible experience and I would have loved to have been able to take home the video footage and photos of the jump however at a cost of $129 for 100 photos on a USB and $159 for 100 photos and the video footage, I simply couldn't. It would be great if this could be made more affordable as those prices are excessive and it's such a shame that many people would not be able to leave with these due to the cost associated with them.

Incredible experience!

Went skydiving for the first time with Skydive Melbourne, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The reception team are all really friendly, they go through everything with you, set you up with all the safety gear and run through what is expected of you on the dive. They also have lockers where you can put your belongings while you're there. The instructors were all awesome, I was with Tom who was really nice and explained everything we were going to do, as well as shooting a really great video for me on the go pro! I would highly recommend Skydive Australia, the team are really professional and helpful, and the whole organisation is run really well.

Amazing Views

Our plane had problems so there was a 3 hour delay whilst another plane was sourced. That was a bit annoying and quite a few people were inconvenienced (they had family and friends with them waiting for the jump before going to lunch for a birthday) but better safe than sorry. The actual experience was amazing. The instructors were great. Just felt a bit like a money hungry machine where you pay over $150 for a video of your jump when you are already forking out hundreds of dollars for the jump plus extra $35 on the day. The instructors get paid per jump so with the 3 hour delay they just have to work longer for free. All the staff I spoke to were from overseas - maybe Aussies don't want to be exploited...? Anyway there are not many options for skydiving in Melbourne. The booking was easy, the instructions clear, the equipment in good condition and the staff nice.
