Amazing tour of Melbourne

Tristan was an excellent guide! He took me up the Eureka Skydeck and told me lots of interesting facts about the history of the building as well as the city. He then took me around Melbourne city to local coffee shops and gave me a wonderful insight into Melbourne life.

Great way to see things you might otherwise miss!

Kellie is an EXCELLENT guide! Pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable! I love the small group and the opportunities to let the group make decisions about where to go. I had never done a walking tour in any of my travels in the past but I will certainly do them any time I am in a new place, especially with Urban Adventures! It's a great way not only to learn from a local but to see things that would not otherwise be apparent.

Tour guide Kellie was the key 🔑 to make this not only a brilliant tour but her likeable and personal touch put the icing on this well baked cake. Great tour in Melbourne

Thank you for this great tour, Sonja! We enjoyed very much to see, hear about and taste this amazing city. We started with Eureka-tower, a fantastic lookout, heard a lot of interesting stories and tasted a flat white and some asian food. For the evening Sonja gave us a lot of tips and ideas, which made the day even more remarkable.

Outstanding tour of Melbourne with a personal touch

I can't recommend the tour highly enough to anyone visiting Melbourne. Lucas was a fantastic host and was very knowledgable. He made everybody in the group feel welcome. It felt more like exploring the city with friends than being on a normal tour. Together, we had lots of chats and laughs. The tour gave us a wonderful oversight of Melbourne. Despite not being good with heights, I enjoyed getting a view of Melbourne from the Skydeck. Afterwards we explored all that Melbourne has to offer, including the laneways and markets, and got to taste some of Melbourne's famous coffee and food. I would not want to have missed the tour!!!!

An awesome insight into Melbourne

I had a great time hanging out with Nicole as we did a tour of Melbourne. Her comments were insightful and demonstrated her depth of knowledge about the city. She also chose some very nice spots for us to stop and have a coffee or snack! I came away from the tour excited to explore even more of Melbourne, and Nicole even followed up with a very helpful list of her detailed recommendations.

A quirky, entertaining view of a fascinating city.

Our guide (Tristan) gave us an interesting tour of Melbourne It was very quirky and not what you would expect from some potted, typical tourist tour. The Skydeck whilst I first thought not interesting (we have John Hancock and Sears) was exactly HOW we were able to orient ourselves to the city. It was also really fun to get a young person's view of the city..as we are retired. It gave us a really interesting perspective on life for someone... not our age. He was very personable, low key and it was clear he wanted us to get a real feel for the city. I wish it had been longer. He had some great things to share..and it was much more lively and entertaining than the usual tour. It made me fall in love with Melbourne.

The way to go

Our tour today was magic. Nicole was very informative and so much fun to tour around the city with. It was a busy day with the Melbourne Cup parade and the Dumpling Festival both on but Nicole made sure we saw and tasted both on our travels. The time went quickly but did not feel at all rushed. Would recommend this trip to anyone new to Melbourne especially the trip up Eureka Skydeck to get the lay of the land so you know where best to spend your time once you get back down to earth.

Finding new things in Melbourne

Being from Hobart we are almost locals but we had a lovely morning with Nicole who opened our eyes to new parts of Melbourne we were unaware of. It is great to be a tourist in your own country and to experience places you think you know in new ways. Thanks Nicole for your time it was great fun.

Melbourne Adventure "Sights and Bights" Review

I had an absolutely amazing time on my tour with Kellie in Melbourne! As a solo traveler, it's so great to feel very welcomed into the community by a local expert. This tour was a fantastic way to get to see the city in a whole new perspective. Getting to experience the hidden gems of Melbourne was such a thrill; not only was the coffee and food delicious, the street art and stories about Melbourne made the whole time so special and unique. Melbourne is a one of a kind place, and you can tell how passionate Kellie is about it, which really makes you fall in love with Melbourne! You really can't go wrong with this tour!

Melbourne “Must-Do” Experience!

I was only in Melbourne for two days and this tour was the highlight for me! I was the only one who signed up for that date and as a solo traveler I was grateful that the company did not cancel on me. Kellie was an awesome guide...fun & knowledgeable about the city! We walked all over and saw many sights. We tried several types of food including a local cafe & at the markets. I left the tour with MANY recommendations to explore on my own. For this reason, I recommend making this tour one of the first items on your agenda:) I highly recommend and you won’t be disappointed!

Great way to get a "taste" of Melbourne!

My son and I wanted to make the most of our limited time (2 days) in Melbourne and this tour, led by Flo was just the ticket! We were the only two signed up this day so we enjoyed a private tour and covered a lot of ground. The view from the Skydeck gave us a good perspective of the city. Afterward we explored the laneways, arcades and Queen Victoria Market while learning about the food and culture of the city. Flo was a terrific guide and really made it fun!!

Great tour - our guide Flo was funny and very knowledgeable of Australian and Melbourne history , especially for a French guy! Pleasant walk with a nice stop for a coffee and bagel.

See It Like a Local

I met the guide Nick outside the Sky Deck at 10am and we ended up being just a group of 5. We zipped up to the 88th floor in no time for amazing views. The Edge was an additional fee though and involved a long wait so we moved on to the laneways for coffee at a great little place. Loved wandering along seeing the street art and the arcades were amazing. We had yummy and plentiful dumplings in Chinatown. Then we took the tram to Queen Vic Market. Nick gave me a ticket to go back to the Sky Deck afterwards and I did go out on the Edge and it was overrated and not worth the wait. But the rest of this excursion was so worth it. Really enjoyed the bites and sites of this cool city.

Good experience for a budget price, We went there evening so we can see the city lights, and its just WOW cause i mean you'll see a lot more than i expected.

Anyone considering this tour - Book it now!!! We did the Melbourne Bites and Sites tour our first day in Melbourne and it was a great tour to get our bearings around the city. We started off with the Eureka Skydeck and our guide Shmick was full of interesting facts about the history of Melbourne. We walked into the city laneways to grab a coffee and wandered around looking at the amazing street art. We then headed into China Town for a lunch filled with laughs and the most amazing dumplings. We ended the tour by taking the tram to Queen Victoria Markets where Shmick told us where to find the best doughnuts. It was the Best. Day. Ever!

Great intro to Melbourne

My friend and I had our first trip to Melbourne and decided to take this tour on our our first morning here. We got a great snapshot of the city from our guide Schmick as well as recommendations as to what we could do, see, and eat for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!

Bites and Sights was a great way to see Melbourne

We had a "Bites and Sights" tour with Tristan as our guide, and he did a phenomenal job showing us around the city. He really did well at tailoring the tour to our tastes (pun intended) but still ensuring that we saw many of the major highlights. He had an answer for every question (which was impressive, since our group had quite a lot), and clearly showed a great appreciation for the history and current culture of Melbourne. The coffee and the food were some of the best we had on our trip, and he followed up with recommendations for the rest of our time in Melbourne and the other cities we were set to visit. All in all one of the highlights of our trip!

Fantastic time

I had signed up for a public tour but wound up receiving a private tour, as I was the only one who had signed up for this particular day. Sonja was a fantastic guide! She displayed much enthusiasm and knowledge for the city of Melbourne, which is now my favorite city in Australia. Sonja showed me the wonderful sights and had interesting little tidbits about the city. I enjoyed the dumpling lunch in Chinatown. Overall, it was a wonderful time. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Melbourne for the first time!

Little bits of Melbourne info with great conversation

The tour guide was super friendly and easy to chat to. It did help that the tour group was a total of 3 (including the guide). The overall walkabout the city was interesting as it gave a nice view about a local's view of the city and little insights about how Melbourne came to be. The best part of this particular tour activity is the dumpling eats for sure. Overall it's a nice way to cap off the tour and enjoy the chit chat.

Awesome walking tour with Christie

My family had a very nice time with Christie as she showed us around Melbourne. She was very knowledgable about the city and showed us hidden things we would have never thought of. Lunch of Chinese dumplings was absolutely delicious along with ending the tour with a beer at a nice, quaint pub.

Even though 3 hours would never be enough to see the great city that Melbourne is, I got a little feel for it thanks to Leonie. She was very knowledgable about the history of the city and Australia in general and knows all the best places to eat and drink as well as great little alleys for street art. This tour give you a fantastic first peek into Melbourne and I'd definitely recommend it.

Excellent tour!

Leonie was the perfect tour guide! We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour so we got our own personal tour of Melbourne, tailored to our interests! Great way to learn about the city, its history, and its current culture. At the end of the tour Leonie helped us plan the rest of our stay with lots of tips and recommendations

Excellent tour!

Had a tour with Flo, we were the only two on the tour so it felt like a really personalised experience of Melbourne. Felt like we got to know a lot more of the real Melbourne, and not just what average tourists experience. Flo was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, we found it easy to interact with him and he gave us a lot of hints and tips for other places to go to enhance our short stay in Melbourne. Would definitely recommend htis tour.

Awesome Walking Tour of Melbourne

On our first day in Melbourne, we did the Bites and Sights tour with Emily. Since we were the only two signed up for that particular tour that day, it ended up being a private tour, which was great because she could tailor the tour to our interests and preferences. We started out on the Skydeck on the 88th floor of the Eureka tower. From there, Emily showed us various points of interest around the city, and provided facts and history about Melbourne. We then walked over to the Central Business District, where we enjoyed a coffee at a local boutique coffee roaster shop, toured a couple of shopping arcades, stopped for a delicious sushi lunch, and strolled through Chinatown before ending the tour with a cocktail at a rooftop bar. Along the way, Emily gave us suggestions of what to do and see in the city, and also recommended great places to eat. The tour was a fantastic way to get acclimated to the city, and we loved how it combined food/drinks with local knowledge about the city and its culture.

Fabulous and entertaining experience, our guide John was extremely informative and engaging!

To say I learn't so much I didn't know about my home city would be an understatement. Our tour was enhanced by coffee, dumpling and drink stops. We did not feel rushed at any stage. Finishing at the top of Eureka was a highlight, great weather was a definite bonus! I would recommend this tour to anyone local or visiting Melbourne.

What John doesn't know about Melbourne, isn't worth knowing!

John was our tour guide for an afternoon of sightseeing through Melbourne. He knows so many places, from the hidden secret bars and cocktail lounges to the best burger or Japanese cuisine. The tour flew and what was 3- 4 hours seemed like only 1. We saw and learned so much about Melbourne - and I'm Melbourne born and raised! Well done and thank you, John.
