We toured with Melissa and Kel after reading glowing reports from others. We stopped at Melbourne of the last leg of our cruise to New Zealand and this was a great way to end our holiday on high. Enjoyed the personal attention and care plus we found out many interesting things we didn’t know about Melbourne. Very comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable on a perfect autumn day. With us being there on the Grand Prix weekend we appreciated the extra effort to get us back to our ship on time. Another beautiful touch was our little parting gift. Back on board we soon discovered we had picked the best shore excursion. Thank you Kel and Mellisa for your kindness and hospitality.

Great day out

Lovely day exploring the leafy suburbs and learning the history of old prestigious estates and their owners. Great way to get out of the CBD and see more of Melbourne. Kel and Melissa were great hosts.

Fantastic experience

This was a great tour , highly recommend it! Kel and Melissa were very welcoming when we first met them. Kel is extremely knowledgeable of the areas visited and ensured that we all enjoyed the tour.

Definately one of best tours I have ever done.!!!! Kel,Melissa's knowledge areas Melbourne's elite suburbs was incredible,the beautiful homes,tree lined steeets,top rated schools....all so enjoyable to see and to top it off so nicely,stopping afternoon tea,chat Como House,lovely historical home..bottled water,little gift,chocolates all given free of charge...Kel and Melissa went out of their way with the personal touch that sometimes many tours do not do...both are such lovely people that would like to call my friends if ever our paths cross again.. definately recommend this tour to anyone wanting see elite section of Melbourne for a leisurely afternoon drive and afternoon tea. Book it!

Often when you book an experience there is a little apprehension as to what the experience will actually deliver. Although the reviews were good we were a little unsure. However from the very minute we met Melissa and Kel we knew we were in good hands! The tour delivered everything that was promised and more. Very informative, very thoughtful touches and lovely warm hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and would totally recommend this.

Great tour with kind and knowledgeable guide

My husband and I booked this tour during a conference we were attending in Melbourne. We had several free hours and wanted to see more of the area. Kel and Melissa did not disappoint. They were very accommodating and kind. We saw the most upscale neighborhoods and were blown away by their in depth knowledge of the properties and the owners. We were able to do a walk through of a stunning property which allowed us to get some great decorating ideas. We stopped for a cuppa during the tour and even ended with a stroll along the river where we could see more beautiful homes and enjoy the fresh air. Kel and Melissa were very friendly and easy to talk to. They were even so kind as to drive out of their way and return my umbrella after I left it in the van when we ended the tour. Overall, it was a good way to spend the free afternoon and to see parts of Melbourne that we would not have otherwise seen. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

The tour hosts were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure the tour was everything we thought it would be. Saw amazing homes and schools and were told in depth the background information surrounding these. The afternoon tea stop was very nice. Highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous tour

Actually, I would rate this a 5/5. The people who guided us there were really friendly to be honest!and we got to understand a-lot of Australia’s history and the great people out there.Surely, when we come back we’ll get to ask our friends ( tour guides ) to help us again.

Excellent Tour

Had a wonderful afternoon with Melissa and Kel. They are very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them. Saw amazing streets and homes, had afternoon tea at a historic house and a relaxing walk along the river. I absolutely recommend this tour.

A must do tour !

My sister and I had a wonderful educative tour. We learnt a lot about some of the famous people and the places they live as well as the history . A must do your while in Melbourne.

Fascinating Melbourne lifestyles tour

We enjoyed our tour very much with a lovely ride through east Melbourne's finest neighborhoods. We saw elite schools and beautiful homes and heard histories of the rich and famous. It was a wonderful tour including time to have tea and discuss what were experiencing. We learned a lot about historical Melbourne as well as the current lifestyles scene including a tour of a model home and a refreshing guided walk along the Yarra River. Due to the Covid pandemic we waited almost three years to take this tour and we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed all of it.

Third time lucky!!!

Third time lucky! We initially booked this tour in 2020. Then COVID struck. Kel and Melissa were amazing with refunds and rescheduling. Again in 2021, lockdown changed our plans. 2022 was our year! We did the tour yesterday - hooray. What a delightful afternoon we had in their company. Melbourne’s history and a tour of prestigious schools and homes followed by a coffee break and shopping stop completed the afternoon. Thank you for your insightful commentary and company on a cold Melbourne afternoon. We would recommend Kel and Mel and Melbourne Encountours to anyone visiting Melbourne.

You get your moneys worth and then some!

The couple who ran the tour were excellent. You know they take pride in waft they do because you can see they do their best to make the tour personalised and you feel comfortable during your tour. Mel and Kel were amazing hosts. The tour was just packed with facts, amazing houses and really good insight into Melbourne citizen’s history. This tour is very underrated. Give them a go and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Best Hosts - Spectacular Tour

Melissa and Kel are welcoming and very knowledgeable about Melbourne. They too a cou t of our interests and tailored the tour to provide us with an incredible experience. As Americans, we did not ways recognize the names of the rich and famous, but Melissa and Kel graciously and patiently explained them to us. More importantly as we left the tour we felt that we had made new friends and look forward to staying in touch.

Great afternoon out

We did this tour in February 2020. We originally scheduled it for the 10th but one of our party took unwell and Kel went out of his way to help rearrange our tour for the 13th, once our group were fully fit. Kel and Mel were great hosts, sharing a lot of information and making us feel very welcome. By the end of the tour, I felt I'd seen a lot, had a great afternoon out and had made two new friends. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne.

A wonderfully informative and enjoyable tour

As we had a great time, last year, on our tour with Kel & Melissa, we booked another tour this year when we visited Melbourne. Unfortunately my last year review seems to have disappeared with a no. of other reviews that year. It was like meeting old friends again as Melissa & Kel make you so welcome. They actually gave a look at both the Lifestyle of the Rich & Famous as well as the Sporting Icons & The Bayside tours. It's so nice to be bought coffee and afternoon tea by our hosts. Carol and I enjoyed our walk along the Yarra (to make up for the cake we had with our coffee). We'll be back next year and shall book another tour. Thanks Melissa & Kel

Great tour to see how the rich and famous live

We had a great time on the tour with Kel and Melissa who are both very welcoming. Kel is very knowledgeable and provided good commentary about the various sights on the tour. It was great to be able to sit back and see areas of Melbourne that we would not normally visit. Thank you Kel and Melissa for a great afternoon even though the weather was lousy.

I had a great time on Melbourne Encountour- Rich and Famous. We went not only to the ritzy Toorak suburb but also through to Kew old and new home interior designs. The walk at the Yarra was quite interesting as there seem to be special areas of this meandering river that I have not been before. Well done, and thank you, Melissa Kel! Clarissa

How the rich live💸💸💸💸

This tour is great for someone who does not live in Melbourne. Going into TOORAK and seeing the mansions and posh private schools was amazing! Something you wouldnt get to do yourself. Having KEL as a tour guide was fantastic he is very knowledgeable and gives great insight into the local millionaires(...and billionaires) lives..He is very patient, pleasant and polite. I would recommend this tour also for people looking to move to Melbourne or looking to send their children to school here.. All i can say is make sure you have money before you even think of sending your child there.😅
