Enjoyable day at Lake Mountain

Overall the trip is quite good. My kid had fun at Lake Mountain. Joe, our driver has been a knowledgeable and helpful guy. He shared about history of the interest places, and very patiently waiting for everyone on board each time.l before we depart to another destination.

A fun and great day for my Family😍

We enjoyed the tour esp the snow in Lake mountain although there no much snow but my kids had a great time. We also like our visits to Yarra chocolate Valley😊

Good for kids

The tour itself was ok. Lake mountain only had the artificial snow going on so the area where it has snow is limited. Still enough for my kid to have fun so thats that. The Chocolaterie was nice and we enjoyed the ice cream there. The best part of the tour was our guide Chris. He was really friendly and funny!

Not the best trip if you are not a kid and/or it’s not snowing

When it’s not snowing, the place is nice only for kids. The fake snow area and slide are very small. Unfortunately it was not snowing and there was not too much to do.

The hallmark of the trip was the driver/guide. Pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. A good trip of bakery, waterfall, mountain resort and chocolate factory.

Wonderful winter holiday

It was a really refreshing day… so much fun with the tobogan… will be back again! No natural snow the time we went there but luckily they have snow cannon so we still can enjoy playing with ice. Great experience

Great tour to lake mountain, steavenson water fall and Yarra Valley Chocolate factory, with excellent tour guides LK and Jordan

Our tour guides on Tuesday 25th july LK and Jordan were fantastic, Lk was such a character made the trip entertaining, (even his singing was great) played great music , they both gave some good information along the way. Made sure everyone was okay on the bus . Unfortunately no snow falling at Lake Mountain but was still okay . The Bakery stop on the way was nice and refreshing . The Steavenson waterfall was amazing. The Yarra Valley Chocolate factory was a nice way to finish the day off. Overall I couldn't ask for better tour guides , they made the day perfect .

Autopia Fun in J-Dog's Bus

Yes, we had a great fun today ! Janet ( J Dog ) was a fabulous driver and tour leader for us. She was super friendly, helpful, and thoughtful; kept checking on us to make sure we were comfy. She showed us beautiful spots on the snow lines, taking pictures, and explaining necessary things briefly. Love the tour itself, come and join Autopia Tour wz J Dog, you wont regret !

Waste of Money

Absolutely waste of Money, it says it is covering Stevnson Falls Display at Stevson Falls says 15 to 30 Mins walk, but Tour guide gave us only 15 mins Absolutely bizarre especially with a 4 year kid, at chicolatarie as well only 30 Mins stop it is crazy he threatened us he will leave us if we do not board bus now. With 4 year old kid 30 mins is barely sufficient to even have a look around no photo ops given at Stevenson Falls or Chocaltarie. I had been with GoWest Tours I felt they were more friendly and more organised and more Human

Perfect getaway during winter

We had an amazing experience in our trip to lake mountain. We had a lot of fun with snow activities and nice family walk at Alpine resort and tasting free chocolate samples at chocolaterie. Everything was nicely scheduled and our tour guide was fun and friendly too.

A great day out

Our driver Wes was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did a great job of driving that big coach bus up the mountain and kept us updated with timing and information the whole way. Waterfall was stunning. Lake mountain was great, there aren’t any lockers to put your stuff in, Wes offered to keep it safe in the bus, we opted to carry our stuff, but for those that hire gear like we did, we paid $66 per person to hire snow pants, jackets, snow boots plus toboggans and magic carpet. We were glad we did that considering how wet people were that didn’t have the correct gear. The chocolate factory was lovely and the views were beautiful. It was a long day, plenty of time to enjoy the snow, by the end of the day we were absolutely exhausted. Very enjoyable day out.

Great Day Trip from Melbourne

What an Amazing day trip. Firstly a big thank you to Janet (aka J Dog), what an absolute legend of a guide. Very informative but not too over the top. A Beautiful drive, amazing scenery not too rushed. The snow grounds were a bit too crowded for us. So we took a walk to the summit and played with some snow on the way. Highly recommend grabbing a bite at the Bakery on the way to Lake Mountain. The Cafe is absolutely over brimming with tourists. Or pack your own picnic. There are BBQ’s available also. Steve sons Falls didn’t disappoint. Plenty of toilet stops. Especially handy if you have little ones. Highly recommend: )

From the moment Janet “J-Dog” greeted us she made us feel welcome and safe. A lovely lady full of passion for her job with many stories of which we loved listening to. We loved the whole Lake Mountain tour experience. 💗

Amazing Lake Mountain Resort tour including Yarra Valley review

The driver Cray is great....

The driver Cray is great. Although there was not a lot of snow and very crowded in the tobogganing area, we enjoyed our trip.

Great day and we got some decent snow fall. Very happy.

Overall was an excellent day out. 3 hours snow tine was plenty. We went during school holidays and expected it to be crazy but had a pleasant experience. Our tour guide Craig was amazing too!! Highly recommended.

The Best Lake Mountain Tour!!

I loved the tour! J-dog was an excellent tour guide and explained everything that we drve past that might be interesting to us. She also put music on in the bus!! She was very interactive and told some jokes!! The bus was very neat, tidy and clean!! It has good heaters and air conditioners. J-dog took us to a bakery if we had no breakfast. The bakery was amazing with great food and drinks!! At lake mountain there was great toboganing, snow boarding and snow play. It has amazing lessons and nice staff. J-dog let us leave things in the bus that we don't need and fhen locks the bus!!

Great family day out.

The tour guide Dandy was very friendly and helpful. The tour was great. Only disappointment was the lack of snow at the resort… unseasonably warm weather which is not under anyone’s control. Also was a slow process hiring the ski clothing. The kids enjoyed themselves anyway trying to toboggan down the patch of icy snow that remained.

Highly recommend

Our guide Craig was excellent - making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. By the end of the day, he knew everyone on the bus by name. I had booked my family (who are visiting from overseas) and I was thrilled their experience was positive throughout. It can be a gamble! I was particularly impressed by how well the tour incorporated Indigenous history into the commentary. Craig struck the right depth and tone, and it resonated.

Spendid trip for family

We are giving ample time to play in the snow. The waterfall look nice and worth the time. Overall it is a 10/10 experience and highly recommended

We had a great time ,100%...

We had a great time ,100% happy😀,tour started on time,our driver/ tour leader Wes was very kind and informative. When we approached Lake Mountain the area was still foggy, our driver was smart enough to retour to the waterfall first,giving the mountain top time to clear,which he was right about. When we finally reached Lake Mountain it was magical, lots of white snow,the sun shined brighly,no winds so all in optimal conditions. We played for 2 hours in the snow without feeling cold or having to warm up indoors. It was a very memorable trip.

Fun in the snow and delicious chocolate

Lots of fun experiencing actual snow fall at the Lake Mountain Resort. It’s really cold so dress warm! For Muslims, the Snow Resort said their nuggets were halal but we stuck to the fries and potato pancakes just to be safe. The Choc Factory had lots of Muslim-friendly options too, including the ice cream (but there are a few flavours that have liquor so ask the friendly staff)! It was nice to learn about the natural history facts shared by our awesome tour guide Craig and his assistant, Barry the Platypus.

highlight of our trip

from the start, ride going there was very smooth. althought some rides were closed due to bad weather but still worth to go. the snow slide was fun. i enjoyed sliding with my kids. the stop at the yarra chocolate was very good too.

Amazing way to spend a day in Melbourne!

Our trip to Lake Mountain and Yarra Valley was amazing! We are from Adelaide and have been to Lake Mountain years ago but decided to do a tour this time. I am very happy with our choice to choose this tour. Our bus broke down in the first hour of the trip which was unfortunate but it was dealt with extremely well by all on board. It actually wasn't such a bad thing as it meant we found a shopping centre we never knew existed. They brought out another bus and we didn't lose any time for activities. Britt our tour guide was the perfect embodiment of Australian culture and exactly what I would want if I was an international traveller. The time spent on each activity was the perfect amount and she provided us with relevant tips and facts. The only thing I would change is having her talk more during the bus ride about the surrounding area. I am celiac and all of the places that we went to had really good gluten-free options. Overall a great trip and would definitely recommend!

Awesome

Can't remember her name but she lives in the Lake Mountain area and her driving was impeccable. Normally these roads get pretty windy but i felt zero motion sickness (and I get really bad ones in frantic cabs in the city) Bakery and the chocolate has amazing food and scenery. Do recommend to come to Lake Mountain probably in June or July though as the snow will probably be a lot heavier. End of August for me was probably pushing it.

Fun day out

My husband and I and our 11 year old son took this tour last Saturday. Our bus driver was Craig. He was really friendly and gave an awesome commentary throughout the day. We loved everything about the trip. It comes highly recommended.

Excellent tour guide

I've worked in the travel industry for 20 years and this is hands down one of the best tours I've ever done. The itinerary was well put together but Brit our tour guide made our day. She was super friendly, informative, witty, an absolute gem of a human. I did this tour with my 7 yo.son and we both had a blast. The tobogganing was perfect for smaller kids and families and Brit made sure everyone had a carrot to make the obligatory snow man (nice touch thanks Brit). We actually live in Melbourne but booked this tour for some social interaction and it didn't disappoint. I would do any tour that Brit was running, can't rate her highly enough. TIPS FOR TRAVELLERS- take your stuff of the bus and hire a locker. Oh and bring spare warm clothes!

Great trip out!

It was an awesome trip up the mountain. Our guide Brit is helpful and enthusiastic. Everyone on board had a great time. Some gestures which she did could tell that she took pride in her job. She has a great playlist too! (80s n 90s music) 😃 Her driving skills is also fantastic.

Awesome Experience: 1st Snow and 1st Snowfall

This trip was very well planned , everything was just perfect , Our Guide Mr Shane is knowledgeable and was sharing lots of insight/stories/fact on the Drive. ..and play list of Olivia-Newton John was just perfect , followed by John Denver (Requested by me) . I got a chance to catch up with Shane in our breaky , He is such a wonderful soul , and ensure everyone is comfortable and enjoying the trip. PS: If you like AC/DC plz check with Shane and he can share few events you will enjoy. I am going again for sure, if i am at Melbourne in winter

Lake Mountain Snow Bus Tour

The bus trip up to the mountain was great, the tour driver Peter was very informative, we stopped at Beechworth Bakery for morning tea, then we went to the mountain which was beautiful, we had raining ice drops, wind, snow it was 3 hours of good fun and cold 🥶. We went down to Stevenson Falls, that was lovely then on to The Yarra Valley Chocolatier for yummy chocolates and ice cream before returning back home. The entire day was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed it as visitors from Perth WA.

Great Lake Mountain Tour

I recently booked a tour for 6 people to Lake Mountain. The tour was very professionally run – everything was on time, and I have to comment on the drive, Peter, – he was excellent. He injected an element of humour and was very knowledgeable about the areas through which we drove. By the way, all the members of our party felt the same. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to get a “taste” of Victoria’s alpine country.

Great trip to the snow

The beautiful drive through the forests and up to the Lake Mountain resort was so scenic, a lot of information about the history of the area was given too which was very interesting. We had heaps of time up on the mountain to ski, and for our stops at Healesville bakery and the waterfall, did not feel rushed at all and really got to enjoy everything. And of course the Chocolaterie was a great end to the day :) Our tour guide Shane was great and very accommodating to everyone!
