This is a must if you visit Melbourne. The tour is well organized and packed with different stops for sightseeing. We love our guide, Raquel, who is friendly, knowledgeable and excellent with her story telling. Although June is not the best time to go, Great Ocean Road is still breathtakingly beautiful! Love it!

Once in a lifetime experience - it’s a must !!

The great ocean tour is was spectacular, I 100% recommend. Along the way you stop off at different points and get BOB the tour man explaining facts and funny stories. The rainforest walk was such an eye opening experience. Not much animals on this tour but they weren’t needed as your attention was directed by the beautiful landscape across the vast ocean road. I will be coming back to the 12 apostles again. I am a 21(y/o) English solo traveller and I enjoyed every second. Standing in front of these beautiful dwindling rock tower takes your breath away. Only fault was we were allowed 1h20mins to do the walk along the beach and the apostles which for me was a bit too short as I was rushing back. However BOB let us have extra time to see the sun setting which words cannot describe how beautiful it was. I really appreciate go west tour guides - all of them were fun, friendly and informative. It is a must - have fun on this adventure!!!! :)

Amazing and spectacular!

The tour guide Terry R gave us detailed information for every stop that we visited. He provided us with good morning tea and gave us suggestions on where to eat for lunch and dinner. The 12 Apostles is spectacular.

A road trip off my 'bucket' list

It was a long, but well worth it, tour. Terry R was a great tour guide & played some great music. Great experiences, good food stop, Apollo Bay Seafood Cafe, good calamari l, Bakery, Scallop Pie. Wonderful views & walks through the rain forest. Highlight was the helicopter ride over the 12 Apostles & London Bridge. A great day, I'm 67 and it was so good.

Bucket List - tick!

This was an amazing adventure. Our guide Bree was full of energy and information. She made the trip fly by. The bus was comfortable and the stops were well timed. So glad I did this.

A long and enjoyable day

Organisation of our tour was excellent. Michael, our driver and guide, collected us from outside our accommodation on time and most other passengers were also ready for collection at their allocated pick up times. Unfortunately one couple kept all of us waiting 10 minutes. The 20 seat bus was comfortable and the driver drove sensibly to the weather conditions. Rest stops were well planned with the maximum leg about 2 hours. Highlights of the tour were the coastal scenery for most of the trip, the surf beach at Lorne, lunch at Apollo Bay and the 800m walk through the Otway National park rainforest. The highlight for us were the 12 Apostles and the equally spectacular Loch Ard Gorge, Island Archway and Razorback rock formations. Unfortunately we didn’t arrive at the last of these locations until late afternoon by which time bad light limited the amount of time we spent at these sites. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate passengers requests. We did however find the tone of his voice and the delivery of his commentary a bit annoying when on the microphone, maybe due to trying too hard.

Worth the visit

Bree is amazing . The trip was full of fun , Kuala sighting, great Ocean road , 12 Apostles, beach, It's worth the visit. Though it was cold , we were able to see everything. Bree kept every one engaged with her information and knowledge.

This was a really nice trip , although it was quite long but we have visited lots of interesting places and we have met a lovely guide tour Raquel. Great trip for solo travelers, plenty of time to explore the individual places alone. The penguin parade was amazing too, got to watch the penguins up close along the boardwalk.

Today’s Great Ocean Tour was AMAZING!! Cannot recommend this enough. It was bucket list to go to the 13 Apostles and Aaron our guide made sure we saw even more than that. I was in awe all day at the beauty and so glad I came on the tour. Hate it’s Aaron’s last Great Ocean Road tour but so happy I got to experience it with him as the guide. His love of it all is so awesome. You can see his passion every bit of the way!

Top choice for day tour in Melbourne

We had a good exprience right from booking for the trip upto the actual day, especially with tour guide - Jacqui. They were responsive and gave very clear instructions via email upon making the booking. Jacqui is very passionate with her work. She is informative, cheerful and lively. We were well taken care by her throughout journey making the tour an exhilarating experience. If you have limited time to spend in Melbourne and not familiar with the transportation here, go west tour, it should be your top choice.

The trip was a one day trip from Melbourne at early morning. Our tour guide is Lucy. She was a very attentive person, joke, and responsible person. I would recommend if you have a limited time in Melbourne. Reasonable price, convenience and comfortable.

The Great Ocean Road tour

We had an amazing time with Matt on the Great Ocean Road tour. First, we accidently booked the wrong date for the tour thru Viator. As soon as we realized which was like the second after we clicked the "book" button. We contacted Viator and Go West Tour by calling and emailing but the operators for both couldn't help us due to theirs 24 hours policy. Therefore, we counted as No Show on the day of the tour. Surprisingly, we received the call from Terry Smit (the owner of the company) apologized for his staff and accepted our honest human error and honored our booking of the correct date. Terry went out of his way and sent us a box of chocolate plus a bottle of wine to the hotel where we stayed at. I have never experienced anything like this before and thank you Terry for making our trip more memorable. We wish you and Go West Tours all the best.

Superb and well organized with the most scenic views

The Go West tour to the Great Ocean Road was magnificent. Time allotted at each stop was sufficient and well organized. The tour guide CHRIS H was fantastic. He was funny and very knowledgeable and very attentive to all of us on the tour. We had a great time, and would recommend this tour to others. This is definitely one of the best tours we have ever taken.

Amazing day and great value.

The entire day was full of stunning views. Our guide was Jools and she was excellent at answering questions and keeping us on track. The option of the helicopter ride at the 12 apostles is worth it even at the add on price. Pick up and drop off at hotels is a great bonus.

Great road trip (it's worth the long day)

The tour is full on but absolutely worth it. Jaimes was an excellent tour guide, friendly and full of energy. In the morning you stop off for breakfast where we were given a hot drink and cake. Throughout the day you get to see the Great Ocean Road and stop off to take pictures. One of the rest stops we saw a Koala sleeping which was remarkable. One of the main surprises of the tour was when we stopped off at a rainforest which was absolutely beautiful. The 12 apostles and Loch Ard Gorge was of course the highlight of the day, as sunset is early we got a beautiful sunset seeing both landmarks 😍. You are out for the whole day and didn't get back until 8pm so bear that in mind, we also bought lunch and dinner. You can bring you own lunch/snacks but just be mindful you will be out all day. Thank you for a brilliant day.

The Great Ocean Road is an experience you need to do. We would recommend booking this tour, but keep in mind it's a long day. If you do book this tour and are lucky to have Chris H. as your driver/tour guide, you will have a great day. His knowledge of the area was exceptional, and he always made sure everyone was having a good time.

spectacular scenery; well-managed tour

Full day, and a well-managed tour. Spectacular scenery. Our guide was Aaron, training Ashleigh on her first day driving; they both did well! Informative and fun, and so much to see. It's a long day but breaks well-planned; many photo ops beaches and coastline, kangaroos hanging out, 12 Apostles (but best was last, Razorback)...the list goes on and on.
