Great day tour out of Melbourne

Incredible views and got to see a lot of wildlife (kangaroos, emus etc). Our driver/guide was Wes who was incredibly helpful and has a lot of knowledge of the Grampians and Australia in general.

Would highly recommend.

Wes was our guide and driver. His stories of Australia are super insightful and knew the spots to go so that we maximise our time during the day tour.

The Grampians National Park is absolutely beautiful and well worth seeing. We made a few stops in small towns. Walked down to the waterfalls. Stopped at some beautiful lookout points. Wes was our tour guide. He was very informative about the area as well as personable. Just a wonderful day!

The great Grampian Experience

The 2-ways coach ride took 7 hours out of the 11.5 hours day trip Out of the 4.5 hours, only 2.5 hours were actually spent at the various point of interest For the price of A$165 without lunch and tea breaks provided, it may not be such a good deal Afterall But it's a good & tiring experience Our driver & guide, Wes was a friendly, responsible & knowledgeable guide

Grampians National Park with Kangaroos and MacKenzie Falls

The tour was very good, it is a long trip but it is worth it to see the sceneries. In my case I went on long weekend all was full of people, it was difficult for the guide to find parking, he made his best. The guide was very friendly and solved all our doubts, always open to our questions. Unfortunately we didn't see kangaroos as says in the name of the tour.

Awesome a day trip to the Grampians

It was a great day in the Grampians delivered by Aidan. I had an awesome day during the Easter weekend and found out some amazing stories brought to life by the guide. I also loved the sightseeing of the Indigenous painting and all the context around it.

Amasing time

I had a wonderful experience with this tour : well organised and the Grampians were one of my favorite place in Victoria ! The people I was with were really nice, and the guide was very cool, even if wasn't always able to understand everything he says (i'm a non native english speaker, and I struggle with some people more than others), but I get the most of it. But all over points were perfect, I would really recommand this experience.

Grampians day trip

A great day trip from Melbourne! It was a long day but very worth the beautiful views, walks and wildlife! Our group saw both kangaroos and emus!

Highly recommended for nature lovers

With great landscapes (mountains, valleys, forests, waterfalls) and some wildlife sightings (kangaroos, emus, cockatoo etc.), this day trip to the Grampians National Park is definitely one of the top things to do when in Melbourne! Our guide (named Wes) was also fantastic and had a great knowledge (past and present) of the area (mines, farms, forests, mountains, wildlife etc.) including some interesting trivia (the gold rush and Bush Rangers, the construction of the roads and the renewable energy challenge, the great dingo fence or the handling of bushfires and damaged trees... to name just a few)!

Breathtaking views

Awesome trip! Breathtaking views. Hills, lakes and waterfalls. We saw mobs of wild kangaroos, emus and parrots. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting stuff with us about Australian animals and history.

Great day trip!

Great views and opportunities to see various wildlife, flora and fauna! Gives you a nice perspective on the history of the country and land that you cannot get from being in the city. Our tour guide Wes was fantastic and insightful. He patiently answered so many questions and provided background to modern and historical Australia! Highly recommend!

Excellent tour!

We had a great day out with Wes from Autopia Tours. It was a long day, with a 7:30am pickup, getting back just after 8pm. The drive to and from the Grampians is about 3 hours, which we had not fully appreciated when we booked the tour. Nevertheless, the bus was very comfortable, (unlike most other tours we did whilst here!), with a decent length between seats; as someone who is 6' 2" tall I could comfortably sit without having my knees against the seat in front. Wes stopped halfway on the way out and back for a rest break and a chance to get a coffee etc, which was much appreciated by all. Once in the Grampians, we stopped first at the town of Halls Gap and had a nice walk for a couple of km into the foothills and some rockpools, after which we ate our lunch in the picnic area; all very pleasant. We then visited several spectacular sites, including McKenzie Falls from where the photo was taken. It's quite a walk to the bottom of the falls although there is a well-made path with good steps; the walk back up was good exercise! We then visited several lookouts, each with spectacular views. The Indigenous Cultural Centre was closed but Wes took us to the "Bunjil" indigenous rock art site instead, which was a good substitute and which helped put some perspective on the human history of the region. As advertised, we saw plenty of wild kangaroos and some emu, plus a goanna (but no snakes!). Overall, it was an excellent day with an excellent guide!

Grampian is a must go place if you visit Melbourne.

Grampians National Park was great.. A place you must go if you visit Melbourne. On that day morning, I got a message from Korea that my father passed away. I was in shock but the guide Chris was so nice and calmed me down. I could finish the tour with his help. Thank you very much. The tour course was also great so I bet everyone will enjoy

It’s a super long drive, thank you so much Adam. Jayboy has a lot of knowledge on the culture and animals. Overall the tour is great.

Ok but not great

Nice day trip outskirts. Cosy group size. The scenery however was blah. Appreciated the opportunity to do some walks and to the Falls. But the most disappointing was that we missed the Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre which was in the itinerary. Overall, nothing too great and somehow seems like there was nothing more...

Waterfall and kangaroos

Wonderful tour around nature with several stops on belvedere, we were lucky enough to have good weather and to see the kangaroos very close

Beautiful location, definitely recommended. Thanks Chris, the tour giude for ensuring a safe journey. The Grampiens is a go to place if you are tired of great ocean road. A lots of wildlife, nice town ( halls gap).

Grampians Wonder tour

Madge was very informative and a pleasure to have as a guide. Plenty of beauty spots and photo opportunities. Especially loved the stop at Halls Gap ( try the Brewery)

Wild Kangaroos

This was a good day with lots of sightseeing. Our guide, Craig (and Barry) was fun and informative. We enjoyed traveling with him. The Grampions National Park is cool and we saw wild kangaroos and emus! Unfortunately thr cultural center was closed for construction, but nothing you can do about that. The drive was filled with stopping at overlooks for gorgeous views. Makenzie Falls was nice, but not sure it'd be worth all the stairs if it's very hot out. All in all, I recommend this tour.

Kangaroos in the Wild

Grampians National Park was very cool. The cultural center was closed for construction, but we saw a few kangaroos and emus in the wild. Quite a few overlooks with beautiful views. Makenzie Falls is a lot of steps on the way back up. If it's super hot, I'm not sure it'd be worth it. All in all, recommend.

I'd rather do this than bunjy jumping!

A long day in a coach but worth the trip. Wes our guide and driver was informative, helpful and accomodating. In addition to the scheduled visits he added one to Bunji's shelter.

Long day and you see a lot.

Great experience. Yes it a long ride out and back but glad we had a driver who knew the roads and where the best stops were. Much better than renting a car. And our guide Wes had great background stories and clearly explained when and where to get back on the bus. We really did it for the wildlife - we saw kangaroos wallaby emus many many birds including a Kookaburra and wedge tailed eagle. Great views and a chance to hike down to the falls.

A day at the outback

It was a good day out in the country. The info on the flyer was misleading. All items listed was not covered. There was no entry fee to the parks. Except for a wallaby and a few emus did not see any other wild life.

Awesome guide and itinerary overcomes substandard equipment

Our guide, Janet "J-Dog" Archibald was excellent and accommodating. While some reviewers expressed disappointment that roughly half of the tour is spent driving to and from The Grampians and to various lookouts and wildlife viewing areas, we found that the drive and J-Dog's commentary provided an excellent tutorial for us right-side-of-the-road drivers who were renting a motorhome the next day. J-Dog also offered us tips of things to see on our camping trip around the beautiful state of Victoria. To the tour operator: the five-star rating is directed to our guide and the tour itinerary, not the mini-bus we used on the tour; it had a terrible suspension that did little to smooth out the many roadway bumps. The mini-bus was also rather uncomfortable for my 2-meter frame. The seats were placed so close together that, with my bum pushed into the seat as much as possible, my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me. I did find a bit of relief by moving my wife to another row and placing one leg into the aisle and "man-spreading" into the extra seat next to me. Even then, I found it difficult to stay in various contorted positions for long with the jarring, heaving mini-bus suspension bouncing this way and that. I strongly suggest that you consign a more comfortable mini-bus to this drive-intensive tour.

Great trip

This trip was fantastic. Lovely to be in nature and experience the beautiful grampians and the countryside. Besides that, Dan(dy) was absolutely the best tourguide you could wish for. Great stories, very knowledgeable, playing perfect (Australian) music while sightseeing. Highly recommended this trip.

More time in the park please

More time in the Grampians and less time for breaks would be 5/5. People who don't make it on time should be left behind. We had to wait for people that have no sense of time which shorten or stay in the Grampians. Tour guide was great, not her fault for others behaviour and selfishness.

Magnificent Grampians

This tour delivered everything it promised. We had the opportunity to explore the National Park at a relaxed pace. Stops were well-placed and there were plenty of kangaroos and emus to delight the overseas guests on our bus. It was a very full day of activities - we returned to our starting point at 9.30 pm.

Stunning place

Although the trip is very tiring as we spend most of the time on the bus, the place is absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. I wish we could've had more time to spend at the waterfalls and be able to go for swim. Other than that, the experience was amazing. The staff was really nice and I could learn some things with them.

This unique tour offers various of adventure hiking (creek/wood, waterfalls, rock formations and mountains) experiences in one day, and seeing plenty of animals in nature is precious as well.

Very active tour

This was a great tour for me as an active person. A few hikes that we quite rewarding with amazing views. The bike to the falls requires a bit of physical ability. There are 280 steep and uneven steps that even a fit person will have trouble with in the heat. Be prepared and listen to the guide when she says bring water. It was a wonderful tour.

I don't think we ever had a better guide. Melissa was the best with a charming smile and such a presence! The scenery is breath taking and Melissa even did a special stop for us to photograph the gorgeous Canola fields that were blooming. Good luck in your future adventure Melissa!

Fun Day at the Grampians

I had a great time on this tour. The itinerary suited me, it wasn't rushed or too strenuous. The guides, Britt and Tim, were very friendly. They were accommodating to our needs and created a relaxed environment. Highly recommend a trip to the Grampians.

The Grampians are an excellent day trip from Melbourne, Daniel (tour-guide) he was very gentle and made sure we where safe in every moment of the trip, he is very nice and always keen for a talk.

pick up time was punctual at the stated default location. our guide Daniel was very engaging and friendly. we could see his passion behind what he does and he went the extra mile to give us the best experience possible. the tour was informative and we really enjoyed the views. was very lucky to have clear skies in winter! tip for future travellers is to just bring water! you don’t really need much and your bags can be left in the bus at the stops too. it’s a great day trip if you only have one day to spare and would like to see awesome views and learn some history.

A nice day trip out of Melbourne.

The tour is enjoyable. When viewing wild kangaroos, we were brought to a spot with 3 kangaroos, but there was a field with many. It would be better if some time could be spent to search for the kangaroos.
