Grampians National Park Small-Group Eco Tour from Melbourne

Fun adventure

We had a short trip to Melbourne and have had really great tour experiences booking through Viator so we were really excited for another fun adventure. Our expectations were blown away by Jools who we wish could be our guide on all our adventures. She was funny, answered our questions, and went well above and beyond when a few folks on our trip got lost. Huge kudos to Jools and thank you for a wonderful trip!

Breathtaking Grampians NP 100% recommend!!!

This is my second tour with go west and it didn’t disappoint. This tour was amazing and beautiful even though the weather was a bit rainy I think that made it more special. We went around the Grampians and saw some breathtaking waterfalls with LUCY our tour guide giving us facts and information along the way. We also stopped at these historic towns along the way and learnt the history behind them. I would totally recommend, I am a solo traveller ( 21yo) and I can’t wait to book with them again. TIPS !!! Bring a poncho / raincoat and water. Have fun :)

Beautiful Grampians

Wonderful tour!

Aaron was fantastic and the tour was so much fun! Lots of awesome sights to see in and around the Grampians and Aaron even stopped to let us hang out with some kangaroos. The hikes were a little challenging for someone out of shape like me but not too long, and well worth it for the photo spots, especially McKenzie Falls and Reeds Lookout. Aaron was knowledgeable and informed us about all the local wildlife and history, but also knew when to let us doze off. I could've done without the land acknowledgements and lecturing about the evils of white people, but I've been in Australia long enough to know this sort of thing is expected. Overall a great experience.

Not for the faint-hearted

It was nice engaging with the tour guide as he provided information regarding the places visited and also talked a little bit about the nature behind each pitstop. There was a bit of walking and climbing, though not too much. Definitely not for people who are afraid of heights

Sunny winter's day at the Grampians.

Definitely worth the trip out of Melbourne even in the winter. The landscape is incredible, we went to many viewings points along the way. Lucy is an excellent tour guide with lots of interesting stories and is always engaging.

We went on a tour with Aaron and he was fantastic, made the whole experience super enjoyable. Got to see a lot of cool places and would recommend this tour to anyone looking see some cool spots outside of Melbourne

Very good and memorable. Laney our Guide and driver can explain everything .. and info to us to saw aurora from the bus .. and I can got aurora picture from bus.. very excited.

Awesome Grampians tour with excellent guide Laney!

A lovely tour - well planned and executed. Our guide Laney was great! Very knowledgeable and energetic. Shared some good information along the tour. The best part was when we were nearing Melbourne, she gave some great tips on what we can do/see during the rest of our stay in the city.

Fantastic tour with a great guide

We enjoyed the Grampians, and we appreciate the professional and caring effort of our tour guide and driver Aaron, who always pointed out the kangaroos, emus and other animals along the way. When we reached the Pinnacle, he even advised the trail may be challenging for us seniors as it was a rocky walk. We would recommend this tour if you like nature and a little adventure, as some lookouts have spectacular views.

Enjoyable day tour with amazing scenery and a super friendly guide

The weather was great and the scenery was just amazing! Our guide Aaron was super friendly and offered to take pictures for us. We had plenty of time to take pictures before moving on to the next spot. At the end of the day, we stopped by a spot where we could get real close to wild kangaroos. I even took a selfie with a kangaroo! It’s a really memorable and enjoyable trip I’ll never forget!

Extremely fantastic!

Our tour guide was Aaron and he is simply amazing! Aaron is very knowledgeable and answered every question that we had. He was also very attentive and took care of all of us. I particularly enjoyed the barooka lookout and this is something which you should not miss if you're at grampians! This tour is simply amazing and covers everything sufficiently. I'm glad I was part of Aaron's tour.

Worth a spot on your itinerary

I will start by saying I don't normally register for bus tours, but Jaimes and Tim were both delightful tour guides! If you luck out with either of them you'll likely to have a great time. Both were personable and knowledgeable about the Grampians and the surrounding areas. Would recommend this excursion if you can fit it into your itinerary! Second caveat, you'll only have one tour guide unless one is shadowing the other. You'll need to be able to climb up and down rock/natural stairs for the big waterfall hike (the view is worth it if you do). Another hike had a little bit of light bouldering, it wasn't anything crazy, but would suggest that you have comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes.

Chris H made this tour amazing and I’d highly recommend anyone who books with Bunyip - Gowest to ask for him! He was the tour. The bosses couldn’t give a damn about catering to numbers, not enough muffins to go around - 3 teaspoons which 25 ppl had to share some not speaking English. I was disappointed no lunch included for $155 too. Definitely seems like this tour could have included a cheap eat at Halls Gap. Anyway Chris H made it memorable and kudos to him!

Lovely tour with Cloe and Mark

Nice, small group to the Grampians with Kloe and Mark. If you are from Asia, the waterfalls weren't amazing. Though it was nice to go trekking and have a little hike away from Melbourne. All the hikes were easy, the only strenuous one was the hike for Mckenzie Falls as the stairs were steep. But it was short, so not that bad. We also saw kangaroos in the wild and went to a few lookout points with nice sceneries. They provided breakfast with tea/milo/coffee and cake, which was very nice. Kloe and Mark were very friendly and helped us take photos throughout the trip.

Mountains close to Melbourne

Grampians National Park is a must if you like mountains and only have a little time for hikes. Of course, there is some time in the car, but there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and experiencing incredible views. Rachel was our guide for this small tour (9 people) that day. She is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The group size was great, and we had enough time for bathroom breaks, water breaks, and food. It was also good to experience and see Australia while driving outside Melbourne. This is a much less crowded tour than the Great Ocean view, and there are many more opportunities to see kangaroos and different birds.

Rachael was an amazing tour guide. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable and funny. We had a blast learning about the animals and plants in the Grampians. The bus could use shocks and a front end alignment...

Great Ocean wonderful trip

Beautiful and Spectacular

Our tour guide was very informative, professional and made the day out to the Grampians a lot of fun, Thank you Bluey for a awesome day. Halls Gap is a beautiful township & the Fish n chips takeaway was a great place to have lunch, the servings of chips was humongous & the angus beef burger was second to none. Seeing kangaroos up close was also very special, as our tour guide took us to a oval where the kangaroos were feeding, we also saw Emus, Kookaburra's and Cockatoos. Silverbend Falls is a short walk through rocky track so good walking shoes with firm soles is a good idea, its a beautiful area. McKenzie Falls is truely an amazing waterfall and you could just spend a whole day there. All in all, the day tour at Grampians was spectacular, definitely 10/10.

Amazing day with a fantastic guide

Had the best time with Rach as my guide. It was my first experience of Australia outside Melbourne city and she showed us the best parts. It was the perfect time from coffee and cake in the morning to getting to all the spots at the perfect viewing times to see loads of wildlife. Rach was amazing, she was able to answer every question we all had, and helped with every situation that came up. Well worth the visit,

A great paced tour with enough to see and explore. Our guide Emily was great and made everyone feel welcome and shared her knowledge and experiences of the area.

Grampians in a day

Excellent guide who accommodated needs of passengers. He gave a very clear commentary, there were enough stops to stretch our legs. As this was a day trip the program was well considered to gain an overview of this unique part of Australia.. The views, walks, waterfalls and animals were all wonderful and contributed to a very pleasant day.

Very amazing trip all together. Our tour guide was Bree. Can cover all the spots on time, Specially Bree was so enthusiastic and energetic in letting us know more information about each spot we have visited. And took care of our needs whenever needed.

The lookouts and...

The lookouts and waterfalls were worth visiting and wonderful, and the tour guide was friendly and professional.

Not recommended for fun lovers

The tour guide/driver was extremely rude with the customers. He literally shouted when someone got few mins late to return to the bus at any spot. I found it very disturbing as it kills the whole vibe and fun. Would not recommend this tour as there is absolutely no contingency in the schedule and all the operator cares about is their time to return.

Amazing tour and tour guide

I went to Grampians with an amazing tour guide Lousie. She is energetic and friendly, made my day to Grampians wonderful to remember! I really like the stories shared by her and I enjoyed listening to her songs. I had a really nice day. Great tour, GoWest is highly recommended.

The wonderful day in Grampion National park

Grampion National park is so beautiful, I really enjoyed this trip on the last day of my trip in Melbourne, And thanks for Lucy , she is the best tour guide I’ve ever met, and she took care all of us well during the trip no matter we went with solo or with friens. She shared with us the history of Australia, knowledge of wild animals and geography…etc. I’ll miss her and Australia. You made my day❤️

I love Lucy

This was a great day at the Grampians. I went on a solo trip and made friends and really learned a lot about the indigenous peoples, scar trees and the wildlife that we saw and yay wild kangaroos! I highly recommend. I had so much fun. Our guide was amazing, knowledgeable, welcoming and energetic. I love Lucy!

Amazing tour

This is a really good trip if you really want to explore the nature! You got to see waterfalls and kangeroos, it’s amazing. The tour guide Lucy is very kind and energetic along the way, she told us a lot history and information we all need to know. But make sure your are in good physical condition, this requires you climb a lot. And bring you with enough water as well!

Geting Outdoors

We did this trip with Go West Tours who were great and had Israel as a great Driver/Tour Guide. The Grampians are a beautiful place with lots of places to see. The tour says a moderate degree of fitness is required which is correct as some paths are just on natural rocks while the path to Mackenzie Falls is a man made but very steep path. Well worth the walk down and back to see the falls.

Good Job Jon (guide) !!

The journey was long but Jon is wonderful driver/guide. His surprise complementary morning tea with homemade cakes was a delight and prepared us well for the day. He highlighted key things for us to look out for and injected humour to liven things up on the long drive. Highly recommended for anyone who would rather not drive the long to & fro of near 8 hrs from Melbourne to see the Grampians.

Best day out!

I had the best day on my Grampians tour! Highly recommend booking, we saw so many incredible views, the Grand Canyon walk was so fun, all of the viewpoints were breathtaking and the Mackenzie Falls walk was the perfect end to a sunny day. Our tour guide, Israel, made our day so fun with his jokes, facts about the Grampians and music choices. We had such a great time that the 3 hour drive each way went past so quickly.

Grampians Eco Tour

Israel made the whole day very fun and engaging. We were able to see some beautiful sights and the waterfall was beautiful. Overall a wonderful day!
