Afternoon of fun

We had so much fun. Great for old and young. My only issue with ArtVo would be have a receptionist that will inform you how the whole experience works. She did not do this and we had to do the whole thing again once we realised how it worked. Great way to spend an afternoon

Too good to be true

It was a really amazing experience. The optical illusions created by the artists were mind blowing .

Get those poses ready!

I went here with my two sisters, and we had a lot of fun. We were probably not as inventive as most people with the poses, but we still had fun and that is what it is about. The man at reception was very helpful as well.

Let your inner child be free!

This was a fun activity to do with friends. I can imagine it would be lots of fun with kids, but we still enjoyed it as adults. But, to enjoy it as an adult you have to let go of some inhibitions and just get amongst it and play! It is a really clever idea that allows you to be creative. Some of the images have a bit of wear and tear so they don't have the same impact in photos, but most come out great.

Must visit

We had a fun time at Artvo, we brought friends from insterstate and they enjoyed themselves as well. We got some great photos and made some wonderful memories, however, the closing times are quite early. It would be more convenient if it was open until later at least once or twice in the week.

Amazing, Mind Blowing, Fun!!!

This has to be the best art experience ever! The Arts/paintings are so skilfully done, challenging the viewer to act and take photos. Loads of fun throughout the whole journey. Definitely recommended!!

Worth every cent.

Worth every cent. This experience was great fun. What amazing talented artists. A must visit for anyone in the Melbourne area. It is important to follow the suggested ideas for photo layout and how to pose for the photo. But also appreciate the talents of the artist.

so fun

so fun to go through the rooms and have your pic taken. The pictures look amazing and you definitely part of the picture. I was on my own, not such a good idea as you need another person to take your photo. The team at the gallery were so friendly and accommodating and they were happy to help me out with having a team member go round with me, lucky me they could help me out on the day. Allow 1-2hrs to go round, I've already shared with friends who are going to Melbourne soon.

Fantastic place. the tricks on the eyes are amazing. kids 5 and up will love it. make sure your phone or camera is charged.

Truly immersive and fun; needs retouching

We had a surprisingly good time at Artvo. The immersive paintings are interesting and relatively easy to step into, though more so for children and smaller more limber adults. Only complaint we have is that many of the paintings need to be retouched. Apparently no new paintings since covid, so +4 yrs old. Some of the lighting could also be adjusted to reduce glare. That aside, we really enjoyed the experience and recommend it.

Amazing experience..well worth a visit! Took us more than the suggested hour to make our way around the exhibit and fully experience everything artvo had to offer! Beautiful artworks and incredible pictures. Make sure your phone is fully charged and plenty of storage before you go!! Highly recommend Artvo as a place to visit!!

Got the potential... but delivery poor...

We went with our grandchildren - a two hour trip from regional victoria - as a special school holiday treat. First Artvo is very hard to locate once you get off the tram. The Signage is poor, and the writing tiny. Nor, when we finally found it, were toilets attached... an important consideration for families with children when travelling long distances. It would have been good to have a cafe attached, rather than having to hunt down food somewhere else in the vicinity and then hope to find our way back... the signage problem again... As for Artvo itself? We get the concept... that this is how movies are made and how special effects could work. It's a brilliant idea. But here was an opportunity missed beyond the initial 'wow' factor of the first room. There is so much more you could do... moving images, lightshows... but the entire venture looks tired. The paint work is wearing out, there was a physical hole in a wall where someone had punched through, and as we proceeded through each room it was all a bit the same, and same again. And then there was the problem of leaving the vicinity... hard to work out which was is the exit we want and indeed, which is the way out? Where are the safety features, the exit signs? the legal things one needs to ensure the public is able to find their way if there is an emergency. All in all the docklands venue was a rabbit warren, a maze,... bleak, tired... with very little good signage. And as for the Artvo display... well guys you are raking in the dollars, how about developing and improving your product? Or relocating it to a friendlier, safer space?

Must go place in the beautiful city of Melbourne. Artwork over theere, I don’t have enough words to say. Totally amazing!!!

Worth the mo why, great experience

Incredible artwork, easy to access venue, it was a little hard going with additional needs children, there were lots of people while we there, it can sound quite loud and there is an audio echo and it was quite very full on at the time we were there. Would have liked to see an audio link made available to download prior to arrival, to show how to do the photos, as having to wait to see the picture on the floor to pose the photos correctly was quite difficult in a crowd and while others were standing there and also others waiting their turn this made it very difficult, there is also a need for a break out space or sensory space we were told prior that you weren’t allowed to take in drinks or snacks. Quite a few (thankfully small) meltdowns, well worth the $20 a head

Great but a little overpriced

This is a great place to go if you like having fun and enjoy being in photos. Children would very much enjoy it, but adults were fully engaged as well. The artwork is amazing and some of the photos look very real. We did think that $30 per person was a little overpriced. However we enjoyed the hour we were there.

Amazing experience

Glass of wine holding by my husband, train door should be open to make more realistic view. More views can be added like wildlife or tracking sites. Overall fantastic experience

ArtVo Fun

Had a fabulous time at ArtVo thoroughly recommend especially if you’re a family or group. We were a couple but several people were kind enough to offer to take our photo. Certainly worth spending a couple of hours to enjoy fun experience.

Great fun!

So much fun! Really enjoyed the whole gallery and got loads of cool photos. Would be cool with a small group ie 3-4 people as it was only me and my daughter so all our photos are of either her or me but with a group you could make some really funny group poses! We still had a blast though! Highly recommend.

Great family venue

We had such fun connecting with family and friends. A great place to visit. Took us a couple of hours to see everything and it was all fabulous.

We visited from Perth and Gold Coast and had a great time at ArtVo, it was something totally different! Everyone would enjoy this experience! Staff friendly and helpful! You should open one in Perth!

Visit Artvo for an excellent time!!!

I really enjoyed Artvo. The place is fantastic!!! The staff were helpful, friendly, and very professional. I loved the discount that I got for my ticket. I love the free cloak room where one can leave their bags. I love the interactive 3D art. I highly recommend this venue for at least groups of 3 people to visit for one of the best times ever!!!

Fun time

What a great place. When you enter go right into the clock room and look at the photos on the walls to give you some ideas of how to can pose before you go in. (We found them at the end) you could go straight to the second or third room then come back to the first room when everyone else has left it. Lots of great photo opportunities. It was lots of fun.

It was excellent & great fun to be had as you photograph friends or family in these amazing illusion settings . Art work exceptional

Quirky

Concept was good & very cleverly done. Dissapointing that the actual artvo centre was a little run down & needed a lot of tlc. Not sure I would pay the entrance fee & visit again

The fun we had taking different pictures and seeing the results. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested to visit

Unique idea

After missing out on visiting ArtVo during our last trip to Melbourne we finally got to visit. We did run late for our time slot but were happily accommodated. Our visit went even better than we expected, and I think that was due to visiting early on a weekday. We were generally able to take photos and check out the art work without rushing or being pushed along by crowds, although as a few more people arrived we found some people lacked some social awareness and common courtesy, with one group wandering in front of people taking photos or stopping in front of you mid photo and other ground that decided that props etc were resting spots/benches or reserved certain photos until the rest of the group caught up. There is a photographer roaming around to help you take the best photo or take group photos for you and she was more than knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, it may also be helpful to also have someone to ensure that some people aren't becoming a problem. Anyhow, our visit wasn't dampened by this, and we got some great photos and memories. The website states a 1-2hr visit and we found that pretty much accurate, although I could see it taking slightly longer during weekends.

ArtVo provided a mind-bending journey filled with optical wonders. From mind-boggling exhibits to cleverly crafted illusions, it was a mesmerizing experience. The interactive nature of the displays engaged visitors of all ages, making it an entertaining and thought-provoking outing. A must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful blend of art and cognitive surprises. Even when u solo, guys like Darcy will guide us thru and help in taking pics..!!!

Had a ball with all the displays :) Brought a costume of mine and took some amazing photos :) My legs hurt from all the crouching I did lol 10/10 would recommend and do again

Creative fun

I really enjoyed this place. Paintings you can immerse yourself in and take photos being as normal or as creative as you like. Unfortunately there were a few damaged paintings but I guess that’s to be expected with so many people going through. It would be nice if there were staff members walking through each room occasionally to keep an eye on things and moving people along as our experience was hindered a little by high pitched squealing and kids playing on the exhibits for long periods of time so there were some we just had no hope of getting photos of. On any other day I would’ve given it 5 stars. Highly recommend

The Artvo itself is quite good, but be aware of impatient people.

It was good to take our granddaughter there,, it was fairly quiet and not too hard to get photos. The annoying thing about our trip, was rhe impatient, arrogant people we encountered. They didn't care where they left their bags, often just throwing them on the floor, and then we were not able to take photos without moving it out of our frame shot. And people crossing through your photo!!!

Best fun ever!

Absolutely the best fun ever! We all had a ball and my daughter who doesn't like getting her photo taken got right into it!

Great Interactive Art Experience

Great interactive experience with some very cool 3D art and visual effects. Take your phone/camera and enjoy being silly and posing however you choose with all the art works. Luckily is wasn't overly busy on a Wednesday afternoon, therefore we could move around and make the most of it all without much hassle.

Amazing fun!

I wasn’t enthusiastic about visiting Artvo with my grandchildren, their choice!! It was absolutely fantastic , we all had the best time, so much fun ! It’s easy to take totally amazing active photos immersed in the art, because you are shown where to stand and how to take the photo , on an instruction on the ground, works a treat and looks so real!! There were lots of people there , but because it’s so spread out , it’s not a problem . You can take as long as you want , I think we’d still be there if I’d let them !! Don’t miss it!

It was a great experience.

We had a great time taking the photos… It was very busy with a lot of people and kids.. Wish there were people in there who could take some photos of the two of us together as advised, but we couldn't find anyone.

The artworks were amazing to see and my family and I loved the experience! - It was like we were part of the photo and we really had a great time.

What an experience! To be magically transported to the heart of action

It's a beautiful, colorful, exciting space.. in moments you are transported from space to oceans, from sci-fi to history, from drama to theatre, from nature to action, from past to present and into the future It's like someone waves a magic wand and best is you get to capture it all for framing and sharing. It's imagination come true. But all stills. An instagrammers delight.. Pricing $$$ especially for a large family.

Fun activity for whole family, or friend groups 😊

Artvo was really entertaining for three generations. We enjoyed few hours enjoying the interactive paintings and taking funny photos with the paintings. Had lots of laughter. Access to this venue is very easy by tram.

Fun Pose

We had a brilliant time, the kids got really into it especially the posing & working out fun ways to pose for the Photo. My son also got into taking the photos. We stayed longer than I thought we would.

If you are in Melbourne it’s a must-do activity.

I absolutely loved it. I would have regretted not doing it. Since I was traveling alone, I didn't have anyone to take my photos. However, the staff was understanding, and Ibby, one of the staff members, kindly took my photos. I highly recommend seeking assistance from the staff for your photos, as they know best how to capture the most out of the Artvo immersive experience.

A funny and clever experience!

I loved it! We took so many funny and good pictures. The artisits have done great work with the pictures. Some were a bit too close and there were a lot of people there, most were very friendly and some offered to take photos of us 4. There were many families with small kids, and some let their child run around so they got in the way of others who took photos, which was a bit of a shame.

Make your own adventure.

An exciting, fun place to explore. Would be great to be there with family or a group. Loved the different backgrounds to explore and have fun with!

Different and Fun

Really fun if you want to get some crazy photos and fun memories of your trip to Melbourne! A different fun activity for all ages!

We had a group from Ballarat Central Probus in June last year and we all enjoyed it and intend bringing another group in 2024
