Awesome waterfalls and caves

First class trip, Nadal our guide contacted by WhatsApp immediately. We wanted to be collected in Surabaya but dropped off in Malang. He readily agreed and made good contact on the morning ensuring we knew when he was arriving. I was pleasantly surprised to find we were the only ones in the tour. Nadal was very courteous and informative, he took lots of photos and did some creative videography for us as well. The waterfalls, gorge and caves are spectacular and something you should not miss if in the area. Swimming in the blue pool and standing under the waterfall was fun as well. You will definitely get wet but there is facilities to change at the top for a small cost.

Tumpak sewu waterfalls

The trip was amazing. The waterfalls are huge and impressive. Our guide (Nadal) did a really good tour around the waterfalls. He is really nice, funny, takes great pictures and guides you to the best spots. Totally worth-it. 10/10 to the tour and Nadal.

Thrilling Adventure

I had the pleasure of taking a guided tour of Tumpak Sewu by Mas Indra, and our driver Mas Armin during my recent trip, and I cannot speak highly enough of their service. Their extensive knowledge of the area enriched our adventure, and their charming personalities made the long journey enjoyable. They were remarkably patient and went above and beyond to accomodate us. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a fantastic tour and an experience of a lifetime.

A beautiful and challenging hike through wild waterfalls, raging currents and mysterious caves

The experience was truly unforgettable, with unbelievable views, a challenging hike and plenty of photo opportunities! I would highly recommend this to anyone with a love for nature, exploration and a reasonable fitness level. My tour guide, Nadal, was great company, as I was travelling alone, I don’t think I could’ve done it all without him. He made for great conversation, was very entertaining and took some great photos for me, incredible! He and the driver even gave me food recommendations to try out in Malang, and they were fantastic! I highly recommend IDN Trip Experiences and if I’m ever in this part of Indonesia again, I will definitely be using them again. I went in early March, and the morning was a bit sunny and ended up being perfect, we even saw a rainbow at the waterfall while at the panorama view at the start! I finished my tour at noon, after which it started to pour down, so keep that in mind, as climbing while it’s raining is dangerous! Be prepared for an early start, definitely recommend having some breakfast to power through. A bottle of water was provided, but another bottle would be recommended. There are vendors sprinkled throughout that you can get drinks and in some cases food for cash. Note that the toilets at the car park cost 3k Rupiah, so definitely make sure to bring cash, preferably in smaller amounts than the 100k notes I had! Definitely make sure to bring extra clothes for the journey back, a towel also helps and I recommend leaving these in the car if possible, to avoid them getting wet. I had a waterproof backpack and things still got damp inside. You will get soaked purely from the spray from the waterfalls, even more so if you push on to Goa Tetes cave, which is where the hike gets a lot more challenging, but it absolutely pays off! Also get appropriate footwear, you’ll be climbing slippery surfaces, wading through water currents and pools, you can even swim in one of them if you wish! I had several close calls even with hiking sandals on, so be careful!

Best trip ever!

We had a great time during our visit to Tumpak Sewu ang Goa Tetes Caves. Our tour guide Afif made this complete. Afif helped us get the best pictures and super guided us during the tour. It was also very nice that our tour guide spoke good English, which helped us learn many new things about Indonesia. Everything was very well organised by IDN Trip Experiences! I would recommend everyone to book this tour with them.

Best waterfall tour ever!

The waterfall and the goa tetes are amazing and it was a real adventure passing through this unique scenery. Prepare to get wet, prepare to climb up and down through the running water and slippery rocks. If you feel comfortable with this, you will have so much fun! My guide Nadal climbed up every rock with me and showed me everything what’s worth to see on this tour. I could spend at much time as I wanted and he took a lot of pictures with my cam. Organisation, communication, punctuality, driver, car, everything top and as described. I definitely can recommend this tour and vendor!

Book it!

Afif was a great guide. I am traveling solo and he helped take many pictures and even helped carry my bag so I could manage the tricky water crossings easier. I feel like I got to see some spots that you would miss without a guide (like a cave with chest deep water that we waded through). Everyone was on time and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Best tour company in Java

Tumpuk sewu and Goa Tetes has been by far the best travel experience in Java. The whole experience was next level with a fun and slightly challenging hike up, down and through the waterfalls to get to the bottom and experience the full force and magnificence of tumpuk sewu. It is honestly surreal. The experience was made better by IDN trip experience. Budi made booking the tour a dream. His communication and efficiency is next level. We had the pleasure of having Afif as our guide, and we could not of asked for a better guide. His knowledge of the falls and surrounding areas was incredible. He was great at making sure we got through the hike safely, and was a great photographer too. Hands down the best experience and best tour company we encountered in out Java trip.

Well-planned, good services!

I recently went on a waterfall tour with IDN Trip and it was amazing! The tour guide was really nice and knew a lot about the waterfalls. They made sure we had enough time to enjoy beautiful views. The private car was comfy and whole trip was well-planned. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see Tumpak Sewu waterfalls without any worries!

Amazing experience at Tumpak Sewu!

We booked the day trip to Tumpak Sewu with IDN Trip Experience. We did our booking through WhatsApp less than 24h in advance, we asked whether we could start at 8am instead of 7am. The booking process was very smooth, they allowed us to book at short notice (which is great if you appreciate having flexibility for your excursions) and they allowed us to start a bit later than the usual 7am departure. We booked guide+ car driver, they picked us up from our hotel in Malang, our guide was Fahru. The experience with Fahru was amazing! He is extremely nice and friendly, during our car drive he explained to us a lot of facts about the waterfall and the surrounding area. The car drive there is beautiful, you really drive through the jungle. The excursion itself is a bit challenging, my partner and I are young and we do sports regularly so the descent down was okay, but the trek can be very challenging for someone who is not in the best health conditions. Also bear in mind that this is Indonesia, so you will not be wearing a helmet nor protective gear when descending down the rocks like you would in Europe, make sure you bring non-slippery shoes. Fahru helped us all the time, especially when the rocks down were slippery and when crossing the river with strong current. The waterfalls seen from the bottom are incredible, really wonderful. This is one of the best excursions we have done in Java, so I highly recommend it if you are into adventurous hikes. When booking the trip ask if Fahru can be your guide, he will make your trip amazing!

Wonderful trip and people

Budy and Fahru are very nice. We had a wonderful day with them. The waterfalls are so amazing. It a trip that you sure join when you want to discover more the beauty of Surabaya. We’ll definitely find them again when we visit Surabaya again and will recommend their tour to friends. 😊

Budy and his crew are all fine examples of people in this industry. From the moment I booked the tour, he was in contact with me, filling me in about the what where's and how's. Even a total breakdown of the cost. We travelled as a family of 3 with a 6 year old and as you will see , Tumpak Sewu waterfall has a massive climb which is dodgy for a child. The guide helped our son every step of the way and was very patient. We even asked to set off early and that was no problem at all (they even arrange a coffee stop if you need it;)) I highly recommend this tour with these guys and I would be happy to recommend them for any other tour! It didn't stop there. We also needed a ride to our digs in Bromo (no tour) and he priced it and delivered it. Superb service. He arranged a stop off at another BEAUTIFUL waterfall on the way and he called our accomodation to find out it's exact location and all the logistics. Service, communication was 100% amazing. Wycieczka z rodziną

Tumpak Sewu świetny, ale druga połowa wycieczki jeszcze lepsza - Kapas Biru Waterfall Przyjazd przed wszystkimi do Tumpak Sewu to gwarancja mniejszych tłumów, ale niestety gorsze słońce o świcie. Około 8:00 rano zaczyna być już bardzo tłoczno, ale wychodzą ładniejsze zdjęcia i więcej widać zza chmur. Kapas Biru to z kolei praktycznie wycieczka w samotności ponieważ mało kto chce tak daleko iść, apozbiej wspinać się w drodze powrotnej jednak widoki rekompensują trud marszu

Adventurous tour with unforgettable views!

The tour with our tour guide Nadal was great! He showed us nice photo spots and explored the area very patiently with us. Beforehand, you should know that water shoes are suitable for this tour. We wore flip flops, which I wouldn't recommend. Sneakers are also inappropriate because you have to walk through water and the shoes get completely wet. A big thank you to Nadal for this adventurous and unforgettable tour!

The views were magnificent. We took a ton of photos. Thanks to Nadal our guide who gave us a superb experience and to the driver who was friendly (good playlist).

Worth seeing

Absolutely beautiful day with Nadal as our guide. We were picked up from the hotel right on time and everything else was well organized. As soon as you get to the parking lot, you should definitely put on your swimwear. You will get wet from head to toe. You can rent swim shoes on site for 20,000 rp. They are absolutely worth it.

Great, don't want to miss it. Lots of climbing and scrambling but definitely worth it. Bring good shoes that can get wet.

We werden om 7u opgehaald aan het hotel waarna we 3u moesten rijden naar Tumpak Sewu. De wandeling naar de waterval was pittig maar doenbaar met het gezchikte materiaal (zwemkleren, waterschoenen met grip) en onze gids Afif die ervoor zorgde dat we niet konden vallen (gebeurde helaas toch maar niet al te erg haha). Op terugweg werd er nog gestopt aan een restaurant om zeer lekker te eten. We bedanken de organisatie en Afif voor deze geweldige ervaring.
