An amazing trip with a great crew. Great snorkelling locations and plenty of morning tea provided on the beach at Radical Bay.

Fun, informative and relaxing.

Toby and Kasper were incredible, water was perfect and they made for a fun day. They made the day cruisy and care free. Had a heap of information and our boys Arthur and Carter loved talking Jellyfish with them! If you are looking for a great day you can't ignore this trip.

The Best of Maggie!

Truly amazing! I grew up on this island, and still learned new fun facts about this beautiful getaway escape. We saw so many beautiful fish, a sea turtle and the amazing coral reef. Tobi and Yarn (spelling?) were heaps of fun, and so accomodating to myself and 11 year-old twins. Highly recommend this tour!!

Great snorkelling tour of Maggie Island

This was our 2nd time and it didn't disappoint. Kelvin, Amy and Jack looked after all passengers , young and old really well and catered to our abilities.

An informed, enjoyable, comfortable tour of Magnetic island gorgeous beaches, rocky terrain and snorkel spots.

Having spent a few years holiday time at Magnetic Island we were waiting for a great weather day, to join Aquascene on their discovery tour.It was worth the wait for sea clarity, smooth boating, sunshine and 2 wonderful snorkles. How lucky are we to have such talented, informative and friendly staff share their knowledge generously with all of us on the tour(24 people} It really was a super day for us 3 and we'll recommend anyone of any age to go. Amazing tour

The Aquascene team were amazing! I had concerns with my 3yo and how cold the water would be in winter. But all my concerns were reassured and my toddler loved it. Very engaging for all ages and the staff were so lovely and helpful. I would recommend this tour to everyone going to Magnetic Island.

Disappointment

Disappointment is an understatement. My one and only trip from the UK to see Australia and mostly to see the great barrier reef .got cancelled because there wasn't enough people booked on the boat trip! WHAT! !! I think that's kind of tough .. You win some you lose some I think. Can you imagine a train or bus being cancelled because there's not enough people on?? So they booked us the next day. But got cancelled again due to the weather. We was only on the island for 2 days so we never got to see the barrier reef. Terrible.

Best way to see magnetic island

An amazing way to see magnetic island visiting Geoffrey, Arthur, Florence, radical and balding bays! Our guides Caspar and Toby were brilliant. Snorkelling was fantastic.

Despite the snorkeling conditions not being optimal, our day with Aquascene exploring Magnetic Island was still fantastic. The boat tour offered breathtaking views of the island's coastline, coupled with insightful commentary about its history and marine life. The crew's hospitality and professionalism made the journey memorable, ensuring a delightful experience even without the expected snorkeling adventure. Highly recommended for a scenic island exploration!

Great trip - definitely worth it.

Fantastic new boat and an awesome crew. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately the snorkelling was bad due to poor visibility. The swim stop, morning tea and beautiful island scenery was great.

Great experience.

Toby and Kelvin were amazing! We had a fantastic day and were looked after brilliantly. Would definitely recommend this as a ‘must do’ on Maggie. Birds, fish, coral, history and geology all covered.

A 'must do' experience on Magnetic Island

While many people spend time exploring beautiful Magnetic Island by land, exploring it by sea is really something special. This tour has it all - great views of the beaches, swimming, snorkelling, fish feeding, bird watching and shipwrecks. Regardless of your swimming ability, this trip gives you an opportunity to see the coral and fish surrounding the island. We took our entire family (ages 6-72) and each one had a very memorable experience. The crew provide are very professional and provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you want to really see what Magnetic Island has to offer - this trip is a must.

This is an amazing experience on Maggie Island. The guys are really knowledgeable about the island and take you to the best spots to snorkel. Worth every penny! Thank you to all involved in making my day a memorable experience.

Amazing snorkelling in Geoffrey Bay

Fun and informative trip. We hadn’t expected to circumnavigate the island so that was a pleasant surprise! The snorkelling at Geoffrey Bay was amazing! I’ve never seen such an array of coral reef.

Great way to explore some of the bays of Magnetic island

The crew on board were very friendly and knowledgeable about the bays of the Island. They made the day a wonderful experience, adjusting on the fly for conditions through the day. The bays and local knowledge of them was invaluable. Whilst the weather didn’t make for the best snorkelling experience, we managed to see turtles, bat fish, big cods, rays and many other varieties of fish and coral through the limited visibility. Can’t control Mother Nature but it was still a great day exploring the island from the water. Adam and Jack’s stories of growing up on the island and their local experiences added to the fun of the day. The abundance of afternoon tea at Radical Bay was a wonderful spot to refuel before continuing the tour.

Great Day Tour!

The tour was great. Adam was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about his work. He even took some photos for us while we were in the water. Lucas was super friendly and did a great job assisting. The snacks provided were plentiful and delicious. The tour felt like a nice length and was flexible to how the group was feeling. Saw lots of different fish, 2 turtles, and stingrays. Adam also called in a floater turtle to the appropriate people and helped get it to the turtle hospital! Overall had a great time! Definitely recommend.

Amazing day!

We went on this tour with another family for a second time and it was just as amazing, and very different each time :) The staff were great with children, very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Trustworty company.

We didn’t go! Kalvin, the skipper, contacted us on the afternoon before the trip and informed us of the sea conditions. He offered us free cancellation (after the deadline) because snorkeling would probably be limited. We consider that more than fair and would book Aquascene anytime again! Thanks, Kalvin!!

One of our best experience ever!!

One of our best experience ever!! Both crew were so nice and helping, caring. We didn't know swimming, but still watched and did snorkling on the Pontoon. My wife scared of water but she did snorkling as well with the help and inspiration from crew 😊Nice morning tea and location. Everything was perfect! Thank tou again for such an experience!

Great way to spend the morning

The crew is great with lots of interesting knowledge shared and a real passion for the island and area clearly evident. Was the first time snorkeling for me and it was really great. Definitely worth booking if on the island.

Amazing Maggie Island experience!

We had a great day. Laid back and relaxed, not rushed at all, and we were treated to some very interesting sightseeing. Calvin and Amy are running a well organised operation, and they are such nice company. Perfect size of the boat and nice size group, i.e. not too big. Calvin is a local guy with great knowledge of history of the island, and he knows the nice spots. Fantastic snorkelling on one of the reefs. I highly recommend this trip!

Aquascene delivers the magic of Maggie!

Kelvin was an awesome skipper, giving clear instructions and fascinating information about Magnetic Island and its bays and shipwrecks. We were hugely impressed. Amy was a brilliant first mate too with advice and information. We loved the swimming stop for morning tea & the second stop for wonderful snorkelling with incredible fish including a visit from Rod the cod. We loved it all. Thank you Aquascene!

Sun, Sand, Snorkelling & Shipwrecks

As a Townsville local I thought I knew it all about Magnetic Island but this tour surprised and delighted me with a number of intriguing historical stories that added an enriching layer to such an enjoyable trip. The fish, the sea eagles, the coral, the multiple beaches and Rod the Cod with his big, goggly eyes were absolute highlights. And a big high-five to the team member who composed the song about the shipwrecked S.S. Adelaide! That was an unexpected gem that we thoroughly enjoyed. My 18yo son searched it up on YouTube when we got home, picked up his guitar and learnt it so we can all sing it on our next Maggie trip. Thank you for an awesome day Kelvin and Amy! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. 🏝️🐠🪸🦀⚓️

An amazing day with Aquascene

The crew of Aquascene were amazing. Their knowledge of the Island and its creatures meant we could get up close to what the Island had to offer. Unfortunately we were unable to snorkel which they let us know in advance, but they offered us a fishing alternative which we all really enjoyed.

From start to finish, everything was well explained, making it easy for even beginners to feel comfortable diving into the experience. The crew was incredibly passionate and lovely, which added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for an unforgettable underwater adventure!

Stunning Tour on Maggie!

Absolutely amazing tour experience with friendly and informative hosts, the bays and views along the way were simply breathtaking, We were taken too a couple of hand-picked snorkelling spots which were just phenomenonal, Morning tea on a secluded beach was also a lovely touch. help and advice was available to first time snorkellers to experts and you were made too feel completely at ease. Overall could not recommend enough.

Discover something new everytime

We have been out with Aquascene several times over the last few years, and we always learn something new. Adam and the team are so passionate about their home, the reef and sharing it with guests that you never walk away unhappy. We have been out in perfect weather, inclement weather and the tours are adjusted to the guests and the prevailing conditions. Cannot wait to go again.

Amazing day circumnavigating Maggie!

What an amazing experience! Adam was a wealth of knowledge, and so clearly passionate about Magnetic island. The island itself is so beautiful from the sea, we spent a lovely time in a beautiful little bay where we could swim in the ocean and go out on paddle boards and clamber up to a stunning waterfall, with a lovely morning tea from Jan, who was also very helpful and experienced. The only slight downside was the snorkelling opportunity - this was due to a change in the weather - which meant the conditions were pretty rough and the snorkelling was less than ideal. But still a fabulous experience which I would thoroughly recommend to everyone

A great experience, very professional from booking to return. The vessel is ideal for purpose, giving easy access to the water activities. Even non water people can involve with no risks as equipment and staff so attentive and safety concious. Highly recommended. Lindsay Tennyson

Magical Magnetic Island

My 3rd time with this company. Very experienced and friendly crew. Informative and interesting tour. Equipment provided was excellent as was the delicious and substantial morning tea. Due to extensive rain the reef was not as clear as I have seen before however the crew altered the trip to suit the conditions and we circumnavigated the whole island. A bonus. I Always recommend to locals and tourists.

The Magnetic Island circumnavigation tour was awesome. The two crew members were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They don’t take too many passengers which makes for a more personable small group approach and they can be flexible. The boat stopped at key sites and the information provided was very interesting. We had a 1 hour stop with a fantastic swim and delicious morning tea at Huntingfield Bay. Later on the tour we stopped twice to go snorkeling at Florence Bay and Geoffrey Bay. Highly recommend this tour. It is excellent value for money.

Absolutely fantastic

Absolutely amazing! Adam and his team were super knowledgeable and friendly, and made the trip a fantastic experience. I have never snorkeled before and felt completely comfortable and had an incredible experience.

Thanks heaps Aquascene! Had an absolute fabulous time today! We were originally meant to be focusing on a snorkelling tour but due to recent weather conditions, Kalvin messaged us the night before warning us that the itinerary had changed. He, and his offsider Amy, ensured we all had an interesting and enjoyable cruise anyway. They were extremely accommodating (especially with my friend and I who were unsteady getting on and off the boat, as well as in and out of the water), their knowledge was incredible, couldn't be more friendly and are obviously very passionate about their work and environment. After all this, Kalvin managed to find a small snorkelling experience for some of the passengers. A great morning tea was also provided. A sensational day was had by all and I would recommend Aquascene to anyone. Thanks again.

Beautiful birthday trip 🤩

Highly recommend snorkeling with Aquascene. Discover hidden bays and birds off the island, truly beautiful. My 85 year old Mum was assisted and enjoyed herself on the pontoon looking at coral and fish. Yummy morning tea provided and even a hot cup of tea. Thank you Aquascene we will be back 🤩 Liz

It was a great trip we were not able to snorkel because of no visibility in the water but had a great day exploring the coastline Many thanks to Kalvin and Kasper who made the trip even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend any tour by Aquascene.
