Welcoming tour Madrid

Very good

Very friendly and funny guide. We covered a lot of Madrid seeing many of the main sights and giving us a good introduction to the city.

Not so good

We have requested a tour in english. Unfortunately, the guide spoke very little english. He also had no microphone, we could not hear anything he was saying during the tour.

Bad experience -Try to cheat on the actual duration booked and insist on selling extra time by going to very few places

I chose this company because it can accomodate 5 person (incl 2 small kids) in a tuktuk which the other company with higher rating cannot. Despite the lower rating and higher price, i thought maybe those people are just unlucky. But turns out this company's ratings and reviews reflect their real unprofessionalism I rarely wrote bad reviews or even any reviews at all but i think out of all my viator experiences, this tuk tuk tour is my first extremely bad experience and people should not be scammed for the 2nd time The driver which I did not get his name, a Filipinos who has stayed in Madrid for 10years, tried to cut down our 2hr booking to 1.5hr and insist on extending our tour by paying extra. After explaining and showing the proof that we bought a 2hr tour, he reluctantly agreed to continue the tour. But only to bring us to a Christopher Colombo statue by a long detour and then said that our time is over again. We did not even get to see the Royal Palace. When we asked to drop us at the Royal Palace for our final stop, he insisted on purchasing an extension of tour again. We refused because we thought a 2hr tour is supposed to cover that. Then we chose not to argue anymore and asked to be dropped at a nearby restaurant which is just 5mnt away. He said it is too far away and our time is up and his excuse now that he has another job waiting. But isn't he selling for an extension of time just a while ago? We gave up, feeling very disappointed and sad. There is no use arguing. He just wants us to get off right there with no good intention at all. My advice is to choose wisely for the tuktuk company, their bad ratings are real.

Great way to get your bearings around the city and map out where you want to spend more time! Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable.

A mediocre experience

The tour guy is very friendly, but his English is good enough. He didn't understand our question and we didn't have the fun conversation we had with the Tuk driver in Barcelona.

Antonella's Tuk Tuk Tour is the best in Madrid!

Antonella took us around Madrid during the first week of October, and it was possibly the best driving tour I've had. In a tuk tuk, you have the flexibility of being very mobile and seeing various districts of Madrid, while also being small enough to dart in and out of smaller streets and alleys and seeing sites you would miss if you were in a car or part of a walking tour with dozens of people and were pressed for time. Along with teaching us very notable facts of the different buildings and neighborhoods, she even pulled over to a few historical sites (the Temple of Debod was so interesting, and great for pictures!) and gave us time to walk around and really take everything in. I can't wait to return to Madrid for another trip, and Antonella will be at the top of my list!

Exceptional Private Tour of Madrid

We had a FANTASTIC time on this tour, and I highly recommend this company if you are visiting Madrid in the future. Our tour guide was Antonella. We booked this tour at the last minute due to arriving a day late. The morning of our tour, we were ready early so I called, and Antonella agreed to come get us to start the tour early. She drove up to our hotel in busy traffic in this cute little "tuk tuk" that was like a cross between a golf cart and a motorcycle. We quickly jumped in and off on our tour we went. Antonella drove us around the old city and stopped at a few places for us to get out and take pictures. She kept us laughing the entire time, helping us forget our vacation's miserable start. She drove us around the main parts of the new city, but we liked meandering around the old city better. It was so much fun being able to zip down tiny roads that most cars couldn't fit, and get up close to many of the landmarks. Antonella was extremely knowledgeable about the city and its history. She taught us so much about the history of how the city developed and the history of Spain. Overall, our tour with Tuk Tuk Madrid was a fantastic way to quickly see the city and figure out what parts you want to return to visit longer. Unfortunately, this was our only day in the city, but we were at least able to get to see most of the major sites and hear stories about them before we left the following day. When we come back, we will definitely do another tour with Tuk Tuk Madrid!

Worst experience ever - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

I would recommend everyone NOT to book with this company. DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY BEFORE THE EVENT. After having been communication with lots of different Tuk Tuk companies in Madrid this is the one that is the least serious and have no clue about service to their customers. Explained: Booked 6 Tuk Tuk's in June 2023 for September 21 2023. 6 Days before I asked to deduct the cars from 6 to 5 instead. - Got the answer from them '' Sure we can refund this 1 tuk:) also I wanted to inform you that tour wil START at 17:15 due to tour group before so i need to delayed it for 20 min!! '' (this is copy & paste from my email from them. I then told them that I can't be late since I have to be at another site with the group at 6 P.M. - Then the owner argues with me about my timings and telling me that I can be late to my other booking, no worries. I tell him once again that I can't be late to my other booking. - He continues to argue with me that I sure can be late. Just becuase of this argumentation from the owner, I decide to cancel all of these Tuk Tuk's becuase they don't respect my booking times and don't listen to me as their customer when I'm telling them something. They have on their website a 24h prior to event cancellation policy!!!! So, the cancellation request was sure within my rights. BUT - They then start to argue about not accepting my cancellation and that they will come at the correct time anyway, that the tour won't be delayed at all. It was just a missunderstanding. I don't believe them, thinking they are really unserious business and telling them that I want to PROCEED with my cancellations. (This is now 4 days prior to the event) - They continue to argue about not accepting my cancellation. This goes on for ages.. In the end - I did not attend to this tour I've booked AND cancelled BUT They have not returned my money. They owe me 480 Euros and to be honest I should charge them for all time this argumentation also have taken. DO NOT BOOOK WITH THIS COMPANY - DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY BEFOREHAND. You will loose it. Could have been better

Driver 20 mins late. Then said our tour was only for an hour when we paid Viator for a 2hr tour. Melvin said his company only got $90 of the $176 we paid. Therefore his boss authorized him to give us a 90 min tour. Guide never said what our itenerary was. Only Stopped at Cathedral San Fran & we had to pay admin fee. Melvin was nice but complained of traffic & insisted we were running out of time. He was nice enough to take us to our hotel rather that original demark point. This experience worries me about future tours I have booked w Viator. I heard they were a reputable company & vetted their partners.

Overall fun experience

It was an overall good experience. Our driver was very nice and knowledgeable. His English wasn’t great. A bit hard to understand. Understand this is a quick tour around the highlights of Madrid, which is what we were looking for.

Great for people with limited mobility

Excellent trip around the whole city. Saw more in 90 minutes than we could have seen in a whole week of walking. Real local insight too. Fantastic. My son is a prosthetic leg user and even hop on hop off tours can be hard work with climbing on and off all the time. This allowed us to see everything we wanted to without burdening hun with too much difficult walking or climbing.

Worst experience in Madrid

Do not use this company. Terrible communication. Driver never showed up to pick us up. Had to ask another driver which happened to be on the street we were to call office to find out where our driver was. When someone finally showed up 20 min later, we were told we would have to split into two cars and pay for the extra car even though I had already booked and paid in full for 5 people. Very misleading and they blamed TripAdvisor for having the wrong info. They were also very rude and unsympathetic. We ended up canceling and asking for a full refund. Still waiting. Find another company don’t use this one there are a ton of those through the city. We ended up renting electric scooters to get around and it was actually better.

Meh - Maybe was the wrong day to book this tour w/ Company.

Driver was nice. Was a little underwhelmed by whole experience. We booked the 2 hour trip was picked up late and dropped off early. Don't blame the driver felt like we got lost in the companies bookings. I'm sure it's a 5 stars when executed properly.

Great for Families

Welcoming Tour of Madrid was a fantastic way to begin our vacation in the city. It introduced us to several places and allowed us to visit a few spots quickly. I highly recommend!

It was great to see a lot...

It was great to see a lot of cool places and learn about the history of Madrid BUT the guy who drove us was kinda in a hurry like running tru the tour so he was just driving fast and didn’t pay attention to the holes on the road so we were bumping so hard that would hurt or scare us but overall it was fine

Great introduction to Madrid

We enjoyed our tour very much. The guide/driver was named Ivan, he was from Bulgaria but had lived in Madrid for many years. His English was great. He was so enthusiastic and informative. He listened to our interests and customized the tour to our needs. We had quick stops to peek into churches and buildings of interest and felt that by the time our hour was up we were much better prepared to begin our exploration of Madrid. My husband, my mother and I would recommend Limo Tours to others arriving in Madrid. It was also a good way to stay awake after 15 hours of air travel from Canada!

Our Tuk Tuk guide with Tuk Tuk Limo Tours was excellent. We had a 2 hour tour in which our guide drove us around Madrid and we even got to hop off 3 times to walk into a Food Market on the otherside of town called Mercado de la Paz, got a picture of all 4 of us in front of the Royal Palace as well as to got a picture within the park at the Temple of Debod. It was worth every penny. Highly recommend using this company. Very professional and trustworthy. -Rich

Could not hear guide. There was no amplification of the guide’s presentation.

Information should explain that address is a hotel that has nothing to do with the business and that you wait in front of this hotel. We signed up for a party of 5 but the vehicle was for 4. We had to squeeze in.

An educational experience. Ivor was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease throughout the experience. Excellent service.

Problematic

Guide arrived almost 20 minutes late with no apology. I do not even think he knew he was late, just who had where to find. Not sure that was on him. He was insightful and knowledgeable and polite. He was helpful with group pictures of my family. We were scheduled 4-7 PM AND ONLY LASTED 4:20 - 6 PM. I don’t think it was entirely his fault, I think his company didn’t provide him correct information. I tried to contact company, but no response while waiting for guide until I contacted VIATOR directly through their app. VIATOR was very helpful in getting my family’s guide to show up. Thank you to VIATOR, but not to MADRID TUKTUK…

Great introduction to Madrid

We booked at very short notice but had a great tour. Driver was friendly and informative. We left the itinerary for the 75 min tour up to him and we’re happy with his choices.

Great Introduction to Madrid

This was a great way to start off our trip. The meeting location was easy to find and the company was very responsive with phone calls. We landed 4 hours prior to this tour so being able to sit in the tuktuk was a great way to view the city without exerting too much energy while fatigued and jet lagged. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. She listened to our interests and modified the tour to fit our needs. It was a great way to learn about and navigate the major landmarks in the city then go back in our own time to visit the places that piqued our interests.

Wonderful experience at Prado!

Sofia was a great guide, describing such detail of each pairing and artist. She met us at the assigned place and left us wanting to see more of the museum. The cafe was lovely.

Overpriced…

In our point of view and expierence this service is overpriced.. Tour was one and half of hour. On the way for 159 Eur we saw just main monuments located in the city center. Everything was made very fast… Weak driver’s English and we didn’t understand everything correctly..

Perfect Saturday plan

Great trip with Ilian! You can design your own route, so he came to pick us up and dropped us off where we asked him. We were able to travel through Madrid Central, otherwise we could only go by foot. We even learnt some data about our own city. And there are blankets and a plastic cover that can be zip up, so we weren't cold and the traffic noise got reduced. All the seats are forward-facing as there are two rows with two seats each. Definetely it was a great idea!

Bad Bad Bad

Bad bad bad. Terrible experience. They didn’t take me and my group nowhere. The driver took us to the royal palace where we spent 30 minutes doing nothing, a random Egyptian park where we spent at least 40 minutes there looking at a depressing sight of a view of the same palace. Then she said she didn’t have any more time and dropped us of at a random location. I need a refund ASAP. Worst $170 spent in my life.

Delightful tour with a helpful guide

The driver/guide Illyan was very eager to show is the best Christmas lights and took us to the best spot and also took our pictures. He also showed various historical buildings besides pointing out noteworthy restaurants on the way. I am giving this tour 5 star because of him.

Total waste of money

The driver was 30 min late we had to call him twice to see where he was. Did not seem to know or could not communicate about sites very well. When asked a question did not understand. This was definitely not worth the money, I would call it a complete waste and more of taking advantage of tourists

This is a great way to start a stay in Madrid. See the main sights, get lots of info and have your own itinerary. Ilian was a good guide and the tuk tuk gives a great view

Beautiful tour.

It was a very pleasant tour. The driver was very friendly and extended the payed time around 10 minutes. We saw Madrid de los Austrias and we learnt many things about the city.

DO NOT purchase; total scam

This is the biggest scam. DO NOT purchase. Our first day, we took Ubers to 5 different sites and saw much more for $42 total All Day. This was advertised as up to 4 hours and they gave us 1.5 hours and we barely saw 3 places. We asked to speak to the supervisor and he wouldn’t help either. We basically a paid $85 / hour to drive by a few places so fast I barely got a 10 second video or to take pictures at 2 sites. The driver had never even SEEN the list Travelocity provided of where you’re supposed to go and even worse, he left us somewhere no where near our starting point as we were “out of time” even though he also showed up late; beyond ridiculous and unprofessional. Also of note: most only hold 4 people, not 5 like it is advertised. The list of pricing and offerings they have on a pamphlet on the ride is also completing different than Travelocity’s which is also the issue. Our driver was very kind and we liked him which I why I gave 1 star; this wasn’t his fault.

Messed up reservation

I booked a 2 hour tour for 2 pm. After I had waited for 20 minutes at the pick up spot, I found out they had me listed for 10 am, so they had to find another driver for me. Then they told me the tour is only for 90 minutes because Viator takes a portion of the fee.

Payed for 120min and they where giving a shorter tour instead

We booked an payed for Welcome to Madrid tour which is a 2hr tour. Once the Tok Tok arrived the driver immediately informed us that because ww booked thru TripAdvisor they where going to give is the 1.5 tour which visits less places since TripAdvisor charges the local company 30%. I tried reasoning with the local company and talk to the boss explaining them and showering the the receipt for the type of tour that we payed for and that it was the 120min tour and not the 90min once. But they said that is our fault because we decided to use TripAdivsor to book and not directly thru them. They actually said that if we had book directly with them, then and only then we would get the 120min tour we payed for. Obviously we felt they where taking advantage of us which created a big miss trust in them. We decided not to get in the cart and not to take the tour. We put an official request immediately for reimbursement and informed TripAdvisor of the situation but they denied the refund. So either they don’t care or they are part of the hoax. I would encourage everyone to look online for the local companies that give this tours and book directly with them and not TripAdvisor. We took a different tour with another company named Eco Tuk Tuk and that one was amazing!! Again if you want to get what you pay for, don’t book this tour thru TripAdvisor.

Fun and interesting introduction to Madrid

There are several companies doing Tuk Tuk tours. I thought I was booking with Tuk Tuk Limo Tours, but ended up using Tuk Tuk World Tours. This was a lot of fun. Our driver Enrique was fluent in English and gave us a wonderful and interesting tour of the city (unlike the hop on hop off bus). It was a hot day and but the open sides and breezes were comfortable, although we did have the Enrique use the mister for some of the trip. Highly recommended

Melvin our driver was very knowledgeable and kind - nice way to get around when too hot to walk. Did the 90 minutes tour which is plenty and covered also what was described in the 2 hour tour.

Great way to see Madrid!

What a great way to get the highlights of Madrid! Our family of 4 with 2 teenagers really enjoyed this. We had Tony as our guide & he was really fun, accommodating & informative. We had the opportunity to stop for photos at just a few places on the tour @ the tour lasted approximately 1.5 hours.

Comfortable & Informative for Family

Javier the driver was punctual. The vehicle was clean and comfortable and the ride was smooth. Javier #2 the tour guide was informative and flexible with how the tour was structured as we had children and a grandparent in the group. A fantastic experience for all. Highly recommend!

Great introduction to Madrid

Our family of five loved this tour! It was a great way to be introduced to Madrid. Our guide Porja was funny, kind and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to recommend places to visit and restaurants to eat at both in the city and beyond. I would recommend this tour to first time visitors like us!

Great 3 hour tour!

A great way to see the major sites in Madrid. We did the three hour tour with Zoran and it was terrific as we covered so much in just a few hours. Perfect for a first day especially.

Less than expected

We booked a tour for English. Our driver did his best to communicate, but fell short while trying to describe the city. Some friends of ours had booked a similar tour also through Viator, but their driver made several stops along the way for them to get out and take photos. This gave them about a 3 hour tour. Ours was barely 1 and a half hours with no stops. We were not told that was an option. For the money, our friends got much more for what they paid for. As for recommendations, I'd recommend their tour. Make sure to ask your guide to make stops, then you can justify the cost. To be honest, it probably would've been less expensive to hire a cab to drive us around town.

Guide Zoran is the best!

Excellent tour! We took 60 minutes tour with Zoran and it was amazing, he showed us a lot of things in Madrid and even told us some interesting stories. Well spent money and I don’t regret it not even a little bit. Zoran is the best guide you can ask for! :)
