La Mancha & Toledo Meet your Expectations & Beyond

The experience was wonderful, it could have been better if the weather wasn’t too hot, nor the accident in the highway didn’t happen. But these things are beyond our control and so, overall, the tour was worth it. The tour group we had was fun, we hugely appreciate the tour guide, Jesse for patiently waiting for us despite our tardiness since we got lost finding our way to the meeting point. La Mancha met our expectations, it was the best reason for the tour and I was happy to see the windmills. The audio transcription explained everything. I never realized that a literary experience from high school would actually lead to a real life experience like this! Miguel Cervantes is right, pursue your dreams! Toledo was pleasant to explore, enjoyed the tasting lunch so much! Thanks so much Jesse for your great service!

Interesting and Informative, Must visit Toledo

Jessie was so attentive. Trip was organized, itinerary perfectly timed. Well prepared to communicate with English and Spanish speaking guests.

A highly enjoyable tour

Although Jesse did not speak much English it did not negatively impact the tour. He used a Bluetooth speaker and phone translator and the presentation was clearer and easier to understand than some of our other tour guides. He could answer any question we had. We would highly recommend this small group tour. It provided ample time at the windmills and in Toledo.

Underwhelmed

Enjoyed the windmills. The 1 1/2 hour ride to the windmills was mostly silence. Occasionally there would be canned English descriptions with poor inflections so a little hard to understand. Spanish speakers were able to converse with the driver and ask questions. English speakers had to rely on the canned stuff. We did get Jesse for the windmills who was a little better. Since he wasn’t driving he could use his translation app for questions. Toledo was challenging for the older people. To get to the town proper there were many stairs, hills, and escalators. Once in town it was all hills. By that time my husband and I were too tired to really enjoy it. We love conversing with the guides and missed this. All in all, the guides were pleasant and tried to please but language barrier was hard to surmount. Lunch was disappointing. Salted tomatos, small slices of dried ham, sausage, bread. Later some cheese which would have been better if served with the rest of the meal. Beer was good and cold. Glad we went to satisfy my curiosity but wasn’t that enjoyable.

Fun was had by all

Alex and Jessie were our guides and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They had a great system for translating with Bluetooth speaker. The sites were extraordinary and the lunch delicious. Highly recommend.

So worth the trip!

Loved our day trip to the Don Quixote Windmills of La Mancha...so worth the trip. Beautiful area but a bit windy! Hang onto your hats! LOL

A great experience

The guide Diego was really good and very knowledgeable. The tour was one of the best I’ve ever taken anywhere. Besides the history and culture, we had a very nice lunch in the old town of Toledo. Very enjoyable time. Highly recommended.

Great scenic small group tour

This was a very enjoyable small group tour. The mini bus was very comfortable and air conditioned which was essential as it was a very hot day. The tour was primarily conducted in Spanish but English was supported by using translation apps and pre recorded commentary which worked well. Alex and Jesse were wonderful guides and Alex (who did the majority of the commentary) spoke clearly and more slowly than most Spaniards which helped me improve my Spanish! The scenery in both Toledo and Consuegra was amazing and learning the history of both places was interesting. We had booked the lunch option which was the tasting of Iberian hams and cheeses which was delicious. All in all the whole tour was worthwhile and would highly recommend.

Alex and the driver were excellant. Gave us opportunities to take pictures. Very knowledgeable about the region and the windmills. It was an excellant tour

Terific tour - do not miss!

This was a terrific tour. It was a small group (12 in 2 MB Sorinter vans) and was expertly narrated in both Spanish and English. Included was the trip to see the windmills, along with a stop for tapas/lunch in Tooledo. After lunch, we were driven to two excellent locations to see the overall city/landscape of Toledo. I would happily take this trip again.

Don Quixote visit

We had two guides and one was especially helpful to me since I had some disabilities. The trip itself was amazing and beautiful, and our guides went out of their way to be sure we saw everything that we could highly recommend this historical and retail Toledo was a very interesting stop.

Best day in Spain so far!!

Jesse and Diego were amazing tour guides!! Very friendly and offered to take our pictures often! Diego played pre- recorded information in English, on a speaker so it was very easy to understand! Great experience !!! Highly recommend!!!

Amazing Day Trip to Molinas and Toledo!

Great experience with Agiday and Alex! Beautiful day trip, well organized and attentive! Comfortable ride with Alex as a guide. Lunch was amazing and authentic at the upscale Toledo restaurant. Highly recommend! Worth spending a bit more money for small group and excellent service!

Wonderful tour guide

Excellent tour guide. Favorite part of this trip was the La Mancha windmills guide took lots of pictures for the 4 of us. Mother daughter trip all adults over 40.

A fantastic family tour

We have had a great experience, we have been caught by the rain, but it has not been an impediment to having a wonderful day, the guides and the group are very attentive and they put you inside the book of the great Quixote, a very nice experience and the tasting a delight, an excellent tour in every way.

Okay, but not as advertised (English speaking tour inadequate)

This was a pedestrian tour at best. Recorded English canned descriptions with little local insights while Spanish speaking driver gave interactive speaking description to small number of guests who were fluent in Spanish, meaning 14 out of 18 guests had no earthly idea of the unique details of the windmills or Toledo other than what could've been obtained from Wikipedia on the way. Uber and a guide book would have been cheaper and more informative. Avoid.

Very good tour. The...

Very good tour. The driver was safe and polite. He didn't speak English however so he played prerecorded audios describing the attractions. The lunch was very good. I wish we had spent less time at the windmills and more time in Toledo since there was a lot more to see there and attractions closed early.

Now you can dream the impossible dream.

From our 11 day trip in Spain this was by far one of the BEST experiences. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable that it feels like you are conversing with a good friend. One word of warning. If you are not at all familiar with Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quijote you may not get the full effect. But for those Quixotic fans, this place is magical. Added to this the visit and wonderful visit to Toledo, it seemed like a dream. However, the time in Toledo is very limited. Pick ONE thing to do. We saw El Greco's "The Burial of the Count Organ" which is one of his most renowned work. The whole trip (including the food) was ripped from a story book. And in the end, my friends, you will not want to end.

Great day trip with a small group tour

Great day exploring the windmills and Toledo. It’s a must see! Alex and Diego were very kind and accommodating and the restaurant in Toledo was amazing. Great tapas and wine.

Amazing Tour of Toledo and Consuegra

Alex, our guide, was super informative and really helpful! I had a great time and learned a lot about the history of Toledo, the Windmills which inspired Cervantes, and the surrounding areas of Spain through which we passed. A truly unforgettable tour and experience!

great guide, cool history

We had a very small group, three people. Alex, our guide was great. The English translation was done with an app, and it worked well. The windmills are quite interesting, both how they tie to Don Quixote and how they actually operate. Toledo is a nice medieval city and several viewpoint stops are made along with history. The lunch was tapas, very good and very filling. You have free time in Toledo to see what you like. I chose to see the Cathedral, which is very beautiful.

Our highlight tour from Madrid!

This tour was our highlight from Madrid! Not only we had a great time with Alex and all the knowledge he shared, but the whole dynamic made for an awesome day! The weather was gorgeous and we got to go inside 2 of the windmills! The views are gorgeous and the experience to learn about what Don Quixote thought was one of a kind! Our lunch at the cave was an awesome experience with delicious Jamon iberico, cheese, fresh tomatoes and wine from the region! We finished the day with a walk of Toledo with some free time and the view of the city is just mindblowing! Thank you for an awesome time and to Alex for a great time!

Helpful tour guides, nice company

My friend and I don’t speak Spanish. Alex prepared English audio recordings to introduce the attractions. We could also communicate through Google Translate effectively. He and his colleague were very helpful, they kept asking if we had any questions or if we needed something. Other people in the tour were very kind to us too. It was a wonderful trip!

Great but a little unsafe in the car

Alex is great. Do note that he will mostly use translation apps to explain in English. We felt a little unsafe as he is also the driver, he needs to play around on the gadgets to play explanation, translation, and answering questions.

Highly recommended daytrip from Madrid

Must do excursion!!

This tour was amazing and I would recommend you take it. Our tour guide Alex was amazing he is very knowledgeable of the city of Madrid, Toledo and the Windmills of Don Quijote de La Mancha. The restaurant we had lunch at served delicious tapas dishes. Great choice Alex! The tour is very intimate, our group was 8 adults so you really get to enjoy the company and get to know fellow travelers. Alex took us to all the scenic spots for the best Instagram shots. No matter the language you speak Alex has it covered. You will not miss a thing. The history and the culture are well explained giving you a better appreciation for this beautiful region. Thank you Alex for a wonderful experience we will never forget!

Perfecto!

Alex was a consummate professional and guided us through the windmills and the city of Toledo with grace and concern. We enjoyed the gastronomic tasting immensely and learning about the agricultural history of the area!

You can't miss it!!!

You can't miss it! The trip to Consuegra and see the Windmills was a 10/10 experience! And then go to Toledo, the tasting of the exquisite food! In addition, having the free time to enter the Basilica is impressive. Alex is a spectacular guide, attentive, attentive to the group, explains everything super well. Alex takes some beautiful photos of all the landscapes.

Amazing Day at Quixote & Toledo

Reading the book of Don Quixote was exiting, but being there was amazing. It is incredible how this windmills still stands, and one of them still operates on special occasions. This tour guided by Alex from Agiday was extraordinary. Alex was very literate on the windmills, gave us a great history lesson, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the views. Then "Toledo", a beautiful city to wander around and get lost on its intricate narrow streets. Thank you Alex for making this day unique.

Exellent tour

Alex and his trainee Diego were absolutely superb! They made everything seemed super easy from the pick up to the drop off. The food was also excellent! The tour experience was amazing! I highly recommend them!

Must see tour for lovers of literature and history.

This tour was excellent. Our guide Alex was attentive and very knowledgeable. If you’re a fan of Spanish (or classic) literature you can’t miss this tour. To see and touch the same windmills Cervantes saw and touched made me a little emotional, something I didn’t expect. And to finish the tour in the city of Toledo and walk the same bridge Romans walked almost 2000 years ago was the cherry on top.

Our trip to the windmills and Toledo was amazing! We learned many new things about Don Quixote and how the windmills functioned. Lunch was delicious! And the time to explore Toledo was just enough, we never felt rushed. Overall it was a perfect day, we would highly recommend!

Don’t miss this one out- well balanced and unique tour

It’s a very good and unique tour. The comfortable car, good driver and guide Alex. We used interactive translator application, because Alex spoke Spanish and for us it was translated to English. It worked pretty well. So no matter what language you speak Alex gets you covered. It was a hot day but Alex had stash of cold water enough for all of us. Lunch was also very good. Overall highly recommend.

A deep dive into history!

This experience was worth every penny! I can’t see any other way we would have a fit a visit to the windmills of Consuegra AND a visit to Toledo all in one day! Alex was a wonderful driver and tour guide, he gave us a lot of background information about different sections of the outskirts of Madrid on our drive to Consuegra, and also gave fabulous info about each of the windmills. We went with our boys who are 16 and 12 and although their behavior was less than desirable, he was extremely patient and flexible with them. It was an overall fabulous experience that I would highly recommend!!!

Unmatched experience in Madrid

It was an excellent experience, the instructors Alex and Wilmar were punctual, they has a great knowledge of the places and their history. The transportation was comfortable, excellent. We felt really secure on the journey. The restaurant was pretty good, we loved the place and the gastronomic experience was wonderful. Something that surprised me was that there were different people who spoke other languages ​​and the instructors used an exceptional translation application, everything was perfectly understood. Of all the tours I've done in Spain, this has been the best, it was a group almost private.

Wonderful experience

This was a wonderful experience, we got to know the famous windmills and the city of Toledo, our 5 star guide Alex, was very patient, informative, had a lot of knowledge and above all he was very kind. In addition, lunch was a unique gastronomic experience; included wines, cheeses, Iberico ham of the finest quality among others. In my opinion the only thing they could improve is spend a little more time in Toledo, everything else was great. Highly recommended.

We spent the day with Alex and Blanca, they were wonderful guides! They we so informative and engaging, just such warm and friendly hosts. Our lunch in Toledo was excellent, served in a beautiful restaurant in a cave in the old part of the city. We had a lovely day!
