Toledo Half or Full-Day Guided Tour from Madrid

Informative and interesting

Great experience we got to see most of the important parts of Toledo and its history! I would definitely recommend it if you have some time to spare when in Madrid

Half Day Tour Solo Traveller EN speaking

Went on a half day tour to Toledo as a solo traveller. The tour guide Jorge and the driver were excellent. Jorge especially was great at answering questions in English and Spanish. Tour itself went very quickly and wasn’t boring. There are two 15/20 minute stops for comfort. It would have been nice to have some more time to take pictures and visit more of the look out points and perhaps have five minutes to walk around the cathedral outwith the tour but really great compact experience if on a richly schedule and want to visit - Toledo itself is very beautiful.

Two languages doesn't work

George was great but I was expecting only English. If I knew it was in two languages I would not have booked as it is too hard to follow and feels rushed

Half-day afternoon Toledo

Listed as 3-8pm, but really I not spent about 90 min in Toledo. Didn’t start walking until about 4:45and had to reconvene in the plaza by 6:25. With nearly 50 people in the group, it was a very slow pace and the “tour” was only about 45min before free time. 90% of the group spoke English, but spent half the 45 min listening to duplicate versions of the information. Additionally I only understood about half of what was said. My 18 & 16 yo were bore out of their mind (and I wasn’t too far behind). I give it two stars because the bus was nice.

Awesome trip, awesome tour guide

Sandra was a great tour guide, open to questions and gave us plenty of details of the landmarks in Toledo! Was given time after the end of the tour to enjoy the city.

Great half day tour with knowledgeable guide

Great tour guide and spoke English well. She was knowledgeable and very clear with her information and did a good job guiding a larger group.

Worthwhile

The half day visit was a good way to have a feel for the medieval city. Our visit to the cathedral was wonderful. Clara, our guide did a nice job of managing the trip especially on a rainy day.

Excellent

It was a very nice experience. Marco the tour guide did a wonderful job explaining all of Toledo's history. Toledo is a beautiful city with amazing views. Our driver Marco was promp and had a comfortable bus with great A.C.

Day trip to Toledo

Nacho was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. Took extra time to explain things and answer questions. Overall an excellent tour of Toledo.

Beautiful Toledo

Toledo was very impressive. I’d Definitely do it again. Bus was nicely air conditioned. George the tour guide was knowledgeable. Driver was great. Only request is that id like sometime to explore Toledo. We could a 20 min break but would have liked an hr to shop/eat, etc.

Awesome tour

Nacho, the tour guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. The history of each monument was very informative and interesting. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the country.

Splendid day in Toledo

Toledo is a beautiful city to visit. It is full of history, old buildings and a magnificent cathedral. Our guide, Nachos, was excellent. There were only 5 English speakers in our group, and he took his time explaining everything to us after he spoke to the majority (25) in Spanish. The tour was roughly 8 hours including the bus ride. Bus driver was great. This is definitely a tour you don’t want to miss.

Great half day tour in Toledo!

It was a really nice tour. Our guide was very organized, structured and explained every site we visited clearly. Toledo deserves a visit. Stunning views and architectures. My 9 years old kid enjoyed it as well. Recommended!

Toledo and beyond

The tour of Toledo and the cathedral was very interesting and informative. Clara was an exceptional tour guide in English and Spanish

Very disappointing. Group was too large.

Not as advertised. Group was huge. Over 70 people on the bus. Once we arrived, 10 went on another tour, and we were left with 50+ people for the tour. It was extremely hard to hear anything that was said. Very disappointing.

the winery is a really nice add to the trip, definitely worth it, jesus is a very nice and incredible guide, made the experience a lot better

Fun and easy Toledo tour with Kate

We had Kate for our half day tour and it was definitely worthwhile. With only half a day available it was really nice to leave the driving (and parking) to somebody else and then have someone else take you to the most interesting spots. Kate did an excellent job giving the tour in both spanish and english, and made sure that the tour moved along but not too quickly. The last 45 minutes of the tour we were free to roam the narrow streets on our own which was fun.

Toledo City Walking Tour

Our family of four spent the afternoon with Kate, our guide, visiting the wonderfully preserved city of Toledo. Kate was not only extremely knowledgeable and engaging, she was extremely well organized and the tour went off without a hitch. We must also point out that the driver, Alberto, was puntual and very professional. In short, I highly recommend this tour.

Toledo day tour

Visited Toledo on the full day trip with a visit to Cathedral Kate was excellent! Food was also awesome. Beautiful tour. Very well organised and on time!!

Kate was a great tour guide! She was very nice and she made sure to translate everything she said in Spanish to English and vice versa.

Long bus ride, but great views and history

The bus ride was a little long such as a hour and a half with stops, but the views, history, and past life were amazing and super cool. It’s crazy how old this town is. I loved the artwork and history. It was a fun time.

Awesome views of the city

We had a great half day tour to Toledo from Madrid with Suzanne. Saw beautiful views and the Jewish Quarter, then on to the 3 Towers Cathedral. Very enjoyable.

Exceptional!!! Well done!!!

Very interesting tour. Found it difficult at times to hear Susan , it was garbled. The ride was pleasant and she kept us informed as we toured the city.

A Must Do!!!

Honestly, the most incredibly knowledgeable guided tour we've been on in a long time. The tour guide was friendly, helpful, extremely talented in her bilingual abilities. She held our attention the entire time and nothing appeared too much.

Amazing sights.

The city of Toledo was a beautiful sight. The cathedral was amazing. A lot of walking but it’s doable. My only complaint is the audio devices used during the tour. They’re horrible and you cannot hear much of the guide’s presentation. I thought of just not wearing it at all but this is the way the tour guide communicates and gives you important information, like meeting places, times etc. Also the time given to shop and look around on your own is approximately a half hour.

Toledo ancient city and Cathedral experience

The tour was interesting. The highlight of the tour was the Cathedral. Be prepared for an hour or so of walking in cobblestone and inclines.

Guide was knowledgeable and gave us time to purchase mementos and refreshments. Additionally, the half day tour was the perfect amount of time to enjoy Toledo.

Amazing scenery and history in Toledo!

Very experienced and knowledgeable guide and have great insights into the town and the amazing history. Have great safety tips as well to ensure we were safe from pick pockets.

Disappointing

I booked this trip as it was advertised as an English tour. In fact, it was bilingual ,and everything was said in English, then Spanish. As a result, we were only able to cover half as many sites/topics as would have been possible if the tour had been only one language. This should have been more transparent in the description of the tour.

Nice but not my favorite.

Easy to find tour office and to get checked in. Very organized with the audio guides and timing. This tour required lots of walking uphill. It was a nice tour but awhile before restroom break was offered upon arrival in Toledo. I did the pm tour so didn't get to go into the Cathedral. If I did it over again, I'd want that option over the places I did see. Cute little town.

Toledo full day

We enjoyed the tour of the city and the monuments. Our guide Kate was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did not opt for the wine tasting or lunch/tapas so we had a lot of free time once we stopped for lunch. We met up with the group for one more monument after lunch but we definitely could have done a half day tour for less money.

Nice day trip to Toledo

Out guide Kate was amazing. It was a lot of walking n visiting many different monuments, her pace was suitable to all the members. She is very knowledgeable and courteous.

Well organized. Clear indications. Good good. Bilingual Spanish and English is not ideal for English speakers (and Spanish speakers too ?)

Toledo tour

Toledo, a very nice city on top of a hill. Our guide Cathy was good, explain the history and the culture of the city. I would have preferred a single language tour instead of bilingual.

Beautiful Toledo!

Awesome trip, Toledo is beautiful!! Our tour guide Kate was lovely, approachable and very knowledgeable about the city. Highly recommend, we felt as if the half day tour was a good amount of time to see the main sites of the city, with some free time to explore at the end too :)

Do it with other company

Book it with different tour guide. I feel really rushed and the guide did not explain things that well. Before I booked this tour, it said this tour would be about 10 hrs. Not really. We left Madrid at 8:45 and the tour will end in Toledo at 3:45pm. So we will be back to Madrid before 5pm. Also the guide was talking in both Spanish and English. Took too long. Don’t feel like I have enjoyed the city. When she talks in Spanish it is like 5min and English in like 2-3 minutes. So when she speaks in Spanish I just had to wait…… So that 10 hour excursion is not really for 10 hrs…. Just wait and wait….. and the tour guide is not really nice either

Delightful day

The trip was a delight and the leader had great information and well versed. We both learned a lot about the history of the city. Bus was comfortable and relaxing.

"GREAT CITY"

It was a walk trough Toledo beautiful, I was really surprised by the city of Toledo, it is spectacular. I invite everyone to visit it. Although the tour was 4 hours, you really saw the most essential thing, and it was wonderful. the guide, Susana, was spectacular, very detailed person. It was a very nice and wonderful tour.

Toledo was fascinating. Our tour guide Clara did an excellent job in telling us the history in Spanish and English.

Nice

Check in was well organized. We boarded the bus and got our listening devices. It took about 1 hr to get to Toledo. I wish a bathroom break was given upon arrival. We did most of the walking tour before we had a chance. But the amount of time at each stop was good and the amount give for free time was perfect. Meet up info was clear and I had a nice time. Learned a lot and guide did a good job switching between English and Spanish. Writing this as we head back.
