Wonderful

Had a wonderful time. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. The dancers were brilliant. The singer's voice was amazing and the guitarist was a pleasure to hear. Regarding the food, there aren't much options for vegetarians. Spanish omelette was good. Would suggest this people who visit Madrid.

Waste of vacation time in Madrid...

WE were there at the place at 7 45 Pm because the ticket indicated that the dinner-show was at 8 Pm. There was no body at the white front door. We knocked the door several times and no body answered. We felt like we were ripped off and a waste of our time .

Art of the Danc

Great way to experience Flamenco. Melody was awesome explaining the art behind the dance. Without the workshop before the show, we would have been totally lost and likely left early. Highly recommend. Close to METRO.

Amazing flamenco experience of a lifetime

This was such an amazing experience. It was intimate and beautifully done. Highly recommend. The dancers came up to the tables and greeted us and were very friendly. The food was great and was of perfect proportion.

Authentic, intimate and fun

My flamenco experience was awesome! If your looking for a authentic, intimate show, I highly recommend! I had read reviews about the food portions being small, but I believe they must of changed things because i recieved a appetizer and main! Lots of food! The staff was great! And my dance lesson after the show was so fun! Thank you thank you!!

Enjoyable with room for improvement

The Flamenco show was great. Very entertaining. The food was a let down. There was a fish or beef option, however I am vegetarian. They served me carrot & cucumber sticks with hummus as my main. While tasty, it was not filling. We paid for the additional workshop which was fun, however, it could have been longer and more serious.

Not Recommended!

Not recommended! The location is far outside the main area of Madrid in a location that looks unpleasant at night. In fact, the address provided in the ticket information was not accurate. We were lucky to see a sign on top of a store indicating the actual location was around the block. The place itself is in a basement that looks gloomy and unpleasant. We were struck by the unpleasant smell of spices coming from the kitchen area located behind a tiny 5-foot bar that was poorly stocked with a sprinkling of liquor bottles. The dancers included 3 ladies. One was the owner. She was well past her prime but took up half of the dance time. The food was bland. The salad was mediocre with no spicing or taste. The mashed potatoes were cold. The chicken was not tasty at all. Needless to say we ended up eating two mouthfulls and no more. I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from. There was an Indian couple next to us who left immediately after the half time. We left soon after. While in the besement which was not well lit nor decorated we actually felt unease. I recommend going somewher else and make sure it's close to the central area of Madrid's Gran Via.

Authentic flamenco in intimate setting

Great Flamenco in intimate setting with fantastically friendly host . Authentic music and dancing ie not a tourist show . Good priced food and drinks also.

Love the dance!! Left hungry!

The Flamenco portion of the tour was beautiful. I give the dancers and the musicians 5 stars! There is so much passion and artistry during the performance. One of the dancers even stayed and talked with my friend after the performance and gave us some much info regarding the history and art of Flamenco. I can’t say enough about the dancers and musicians. They were great! Now the food, left a lot to be desired. The wait staff was very nice and drinks we good. I would recommend I would just say eat dinner first!

Lovely evening of flamenco dancing with dinner

The flamenco show was very good. The dancers were excellent. The food was mediocre. A drink, salad and entree was included. Its a nice cozy place owned by a couple of the dancers. Very friendly. Before the show they have an optional workshop for the guests of flamenco dancing - conducted by one of the owners, who moved from England decades ago to take up flamenco dancing.

Amazing dancing!

Dancing was amazing and the workshop sharing the history of flamenco informative. Was a little difficult to find the entrance but the show was great. Food was not actually dinner but more shared snack.

The hostess and staff is very friendly. She explains everything in perfect english and with a sense of humour. It was an amazing experience!

The history lesson in the beginning was very interesting, and it was cool to learn some flamenco steps. The performance was so passionate and beautiful. Would definitely recommend. The included meal was also lovely.

Great with kids

The workshop was great for the kids. The meal isn’t actually a meal but more like a snack. Overall we enjoyed it very much.

Great Flamenco Experience

The flamenco dance workshop prior to the show was very informational and fun. There was a group of 6 of us that participated and the dancer/facilitator did an excellent job of engaging everyone. I would definitely recommend it for a better understanding of the flamenco art form.

Disappointing...

We visited on a Sunday, I was excited to see a Flamenco show and this one included tapas which we were also looking forward to. Unfortunately my excitement turned to disappointment once we arrived at the venue. The location was dark and dingy, there were only three customers including my husband and I. The tour /excursion was supposed to be 3 hrs but it was done within 1 1/2 hrs, the tapas were not great at all. The staff /performers as were friendly and really tried their best, hence why I gave it three stars. Do I think it was worth my time, absolutely not.

Awful food

The entertainment was great. The location was way out in the boonies. finished late, and it was very difficult to get a taxi for lunch. Party The food was awful.

An authentic Spanish experience

The workshop was fun and fabulous and enabled greater appreciation for the artistry of the performers. The show was mind-blowing, especially learning that each dance was spontaneous. Don't go there for the food because that is a lowlight and not really neccesary in my opinion, but the atmosphere, energy and local community vibe is why you should go. Perfecto!

Must see.

Great experience but overpriced. No need to book ahead, plus is not really a dinner but appetizers. I just noticed the locals pay for their meals and enjoy the show for free. Great performance, it’s a must see.

One Thursday Evening

These performers gave their all in a fantastic show. Very good dancers as well as the musicians. I would do this again.

Amazing performance!

It was a great experienced for our family. The performers were amazing. The main performer even indulged as in joining our family for photos. One exceptional experienced that we will remember. It was late for us and we were worried for our safety. The owner offered to call an Uber or taxi for us. Overall, an amazing night ❤️

Had a GREAT time

The show was absolutely amazing and my friend and I had a great time. We really enjoyed the workshop before the show, learning the history and music of the dance and a few steps as well. This definitely felt like a more authentic flamenco show with the smaller intimate setting and realizing most of the other patrons were locals. Definitely give this show a try, you'll have a great time.

Amazing experience!!

This was our first time watching a live Flamenco show, so, that in itself was huge for us. What made it interesting was the "workshop" where one of the performers walks you through the origins of the dance and teaches a few moves. They are not very difficult, but for me personally, who is not good at dancing, it was all an effort, but it was all fun!! The actual show was just riveting!! After a few minutes, you really start to appreciate the art of Flamenco dancing as the stage comes alive with rhythmic thumps of the dancers shoes orchestrated with singing and clapping by the fellow performers!! That was just fascinating to watch! The dinner included a drink, appetizer, entree and dessert. There was some confusion as to whether the dessert was included or not, according to the management, it's not, but our confirmation from Viator had the dessert included. In any case, the management took orders for dessert and served them to us. I would definitely recommend this!

Wonderful and Intimate Experience

Wonderful experience, highly recommend! The venue was small and intimate. Food was good and portions were large. Drinks also good and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend coming for the workshop before the show as it was a fun intro to Flamenco. The Flamenco show was great too! Our six year old had a great time and was attentive throughout the entire show. Only very minor issue was a mix up on what the Viator voucher said was included. This mix up was resolved quickly and wasn’t a problem at all.

Melody is awesome...

Melody is awesome workshop and we loved the show. Only thing was it was done in Spanish so couldn’t understand much during show. The workshop she spoke so it was extremely wonderful. Loved it

American visitors wowed by the experience

As first time visitors to Madrid, we wanted to experience more than the simply tapas and beer. This flamenco experience did not disappoint. The staff was great. The language barrier didn’t impede the experience. We used the translator app and hand gestures to communicate. We didn’t skip a beat. So glad we came! The polyrhythmic hand clapping was awesome!!

Purchase a show for less.

Enjoyed the show but there was no workshop. We arrived on time but waited an hour and the show began. The food was just ok.

A evening full of dance, food and culture.

It is totally worth the money spent, amazing evening slent close to the culture of Spain. The experience is amazing, full of energy. Hosts are amazing, very hospitable. The combination of food and wine in the package adds the cherry on top of the experience. Very well organised and you feel absolutely welcomed. We were allowed onto the stage to dance which was pretty cool of the hosts. The dance lessons in the beginning were very nice and helps you connect to the experience. A must do in Madrid. Paula is a great host and ensures you are comfortable. Look for her.

Absolutely amazing, best flamenco 💃 show I’ve ever seen. “Wonderful place to go” outstanding performance – who, by the way, were exceptional. La Rubia Melody who really went out of her way to make sure everyone had a lovely experience.

Unforgettable!

This experience was amazing! I came solo and ended with 3 new friends and learned a lot about Flamenco! The instructor Melody was amazing! She was knowledgeable and had excellent energy! The food and service were fabulous! I am very glad I went!

Authentic flamenco workshop and show ran by a beautiful lady 10/10

Excellent show and melody gave a very educational interesting workshop before the show ...anyone who has an interest in music art dancing ect ..will find this very exciting and fun .. the atmosphere was great and we met a lovely group of Americans. 10 out of 10 very authentic if your looking to do something a bit different in Madrid 😀💃

We are on our honeymoon and this show experience was amazing! The staff is super friendly and the dancers are truly talented. If you are looking for an authentic time in Madrid, you must see this show!

Amazing Flamenco

Amazing show; I have been to a few flamenco shows and this was by far my favorite. The dancers were amazing, very engaging with the audience and took time to come and talk to each table individually. Delicious dinner with a started, entree of choice and a drink. The workshop was a bonus allowing us to learn the history of flamenco and even go on stage and dance ourselves. Amazing for families, friends or parties. Even sang happy birthday for someone in audience. Very caring of their guests!

It is a hidden treasure!

Excellent show, very traditional and authentic! It was worth it. I read other reviews and they are accurate. Ask for guidance at the entrance for parking, they will direct you to the parking lot on the second floor, it is very convenient! Our family was very satisfied with the show!

Flamenco, up close and personal

Great addition to a trip to Madrid. If you don't know much about Flamenco, definitely attend the workshop (with appropriate footwear). Location is outside the Madrid 'centro' and can be tricky to find the entrance so give yourself enough time...to make it on time.

Lovell hostess, fun workshop, excellent show and delicious meal. Warm and cozy environment. Me and my husband spent a very nice time time on a rainy night at Tablao Flamenco El Cortijo.

A must visit !

Cannot rate this show highly enough ! Fantastic from start to finish from the dancers ,singer and guitarist all performances were spectacular. Special thanks to Melody the main host for her ‘workshop’ and her special quality of informing us all of the history of Flamenco. We took a taxi as it was a bit out of the main city but we took the train back to the centre (Sol) the nearest station to the venue was Portazgo and it was quicker much cheaper and direct .

We (4 friends) booked the Workshop, Dinner and Show package which was excellent value. The Workshop was informative and great fun as we were able to try a few steps. It was run by a lovely friendly and witty English lady who obviously had a passion for the art. Definitely worth doing this bit as it gave us a great insight that enabled us to appreciate the show even more Dinner was great for the price paid and drinks were also very inexpensive. The show itself was brilliant with two separate 40min sets, separated by a short interval. Excellent traditional singer and brilliant guitarist accompanying 2 passionate flamenco dancers. WE ALL HAD A FANTASTIC NIGHT OUT, THANKYOU!!!

Phenomenal!

Fantastic workshop and show! The workshop explains the footwork, clapping rhythms, history of flamenco and music. The show..WOW!!! What a magical and magnificent experience of a lifetime. Dinner was three courses and it included a beverage. Excellent local food. The location of the venue is very interesting. Don't hold that against you going. Its next door to a restaurant and you have to go down the stairs. It reminded me of some great jazz clubs I've been to. Its definitely where the locals go and not some over the top tourist show. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I adored how nice the dancers, guitarist and the singer are too. They have great appreciation and gratitude when you compliment them. They are passionate about what they do and love it most of all. Please do go, enjoy the venue and take pictures! Its definitely worth the time and effort.

Top Notch Flamenco Experience!

This was a wonderful evening out! We went with friends of ours for a couples night out on our short 5 day Spain vacation. It was better than we even expected. Melody gave us a behind the scenes education of Flamenco before the show, which was very eye opening. We even did a workshop of moves and techniques that I will just say: leave it to the pros...it’s hard work! The show was amazing and the food was equally as good. Great beer and wine while enjoying a friendly cozy atmosphere. Sorry I didn’t eat the brownie Melody...I can’t have the nuts 😆

Amazing!

This is a must do when you’re in Madrid. A very intimate setting with amazing musicians and dancers! The food was great too. We did the workshop before the show which I would highly recommend. Melody was wonderful as she took the time to teach us all of the interesting facts about flamenco dancing and even had us try the moves which were a lot harder than what we thought. It was a great evening!

So much fun

This was a great introduction to flamenco; history, guitar, song and dance. The metro ride out and back was easy, the dancers entertaining and skilled. Great way to spend an evening
