During free time in Segovia I found a trail that ran around the outside of the city. It was beautiful.

Wonderful day trip to Segovia and Toledo. Amanda was our tour guide and she did a marvelous job. I loved her calm demeanor and patience with people who were running late. We were separated into two groups according to language, which made it convenient and less time consuming. We were given enough free time for lunch and to walk around. Would do this tour again.

Mother/Daughter Unforgettable Trip

My daughter who is 9 and I had an amazing time. Andrea our tour guide from IBE tours was knowledgeable and was very nice to my daughter, even offering her water at one point. I was concerned my daughter would get bored or tired, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much she enjoyed listening to Andrea explain the history of both towns.

Mágical day with terrific guide

Andrea is the best tour guide we’ve ever had. She was very organized, polite, fair with out time and she would give clear instructions in advance. Segovia was very nice and Toledo is also magical. We went with IBE tours/Viator. Great experience.

Great day trip to visit two amazing cities!

This is an excellent day trip to see two fantastic cities just outside of Madrid. Our tour guide was Rocio and her english was excellent! On the bus she provided the history of each city, in both spanish and english, and clearly explained what would happen on the tour. When we arrived in each city, another guide met us that took the group that wanted the tour in spanish, and Rocio took the group that spoke english. Her recommendations on local pastries and foods were welcomed, and we enjoyed the humor that she interjected to her explanation of what we were seeing. Both cities were phenomenal! We did pay for the optional cathedral tour in Toledo. We figured as long as we were there we might as well go in. Honestly, it is like any other cathedral so whether you purchase that option or not is up to you. We felt like we had enough "free time" to explore both cities on our own after the tours. I would recommend this tour to any of my friends visiting Madrid!

Excellent arrangements. Very comfortable bus. The guide Lydia was very knowledgeable and also took care of us very well. She gave perfect information about all things. The driver Vincent was excellent. Will definitely recommend the tour.

Segovia & Toledo Guided Bus And Walking Tour

Our tour guide, Lydia, was very knowledgeable and professional. Our family really enjoyed the guided tour and highly recommend anyone who wants to visit Segovia and Toledo.

Great tour

Worth spending whole day to visit both cities. Leaving at 7:30 will get you in Segovia before getting crowded with just enough time to visit this small town. The real gem is Toledo with amazing views and impressive cathedral. Great job from our tour guide Rocio, highly recommend. We had separate guides for English and Spanish in both cities, which was perfect.

Scenic and memorable!

Learned a lot

A bit longer drive than expected but these historical towns are worth it. Recommend getting a tour that leaves Madrid by 7:30am like this one, you avoid some of the tour crowds as you'll be the first ones in Sergovia. The cathedral in Toledo is unbelievable, a must see with the guide - worth the cost

Sucks

My wife became ill the night before the tour. I contact the tour company the morning of the schedule trip and devise of the situation and asked if we could rebook the tour. I was not asking for a refund just want to rebook the tour for another day. The tour company would not honor my request and told me I would have to rebook and pay again for the tour. It’s not as if the tour company was going to Lose any revenue by allowing us to rebook. I strongly recommend that if you are looking for a tour on viator that you make sure not to use this particular your company.

Great day!

Our guide was wonderful and spoke good English. We had about 40 people on our tour to both cities. They broke our groups into Spanish and English groups which made for a great experience. Our guide tried to get ahead of schedule to allow us more time for lunch in Toledo. We ended having an hour and 15 mins for lunch and found a wonderful restaurant to enjoy lunch. Both cities were beautiful and the tour was very organized. Going to Segovia first was a benefit since the crowds arrive about the time we left for Toledo. Overall, a 12 hour tour was long but we all felt it flew by due to all the sites and views.

Outstanding Tour

Our tour was on time and as advertised. I feel sorry for the tour guide (Benny in this case) dealing a bunch of arrogant people who like to talk during presentations and are late even though advised of the meeting time several times. With that, he maintained his cool and professionalism. We enjoyed the tour to Segovia (just the right amount of info) and a bit of free time. Toledo was also great however we made the mistake of not buying cathedral entrance tickets because once. Next time or recommend that you buy the tickets on-line on the cathedral site and not do the expensive tour. The bus driver was very good (safety wise) and initiation of some drivers was entertaining. All in all, I would recommend this tour and IBE Tours (which we bought through Tripadvisor).

Wonderful way to see Segovia and Toledo in a day

We made a memorable day trip with IBE Tours to Segovia and Toledo. Rocio was an amazing guide. She provided helpful historical context behind the architecture and culture of the two towns. Thanks to her, we also learned about and tried the local traditional foods.

Segovia Spain was excellent. I would suggest this tour to anyone. My girlfriend thought that two cities in one day was too much, I loved it.

This was by far my favorite tour of all the ones I took. So much history and well explained. The guy knew his history and was very patient and considerate. Definitely worth it.

Great trip to Segovia and Toledo

We really enjoyed our trip to Segovia and Toledo. Both places are worth spending a day in on their own - full of history, culture and great food. The aqueduct at Segovia is a must-see, as was the castle, we had a small amount of free time after to explore. We were there relatively early so the town was not too busy. We then moved onto Toledo for the afternoon, where the highlight was undoubtedly the cathedral - an astonishing building! Rocio was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and with a fun sense of humour! The region has a fascinating history, and she did a great job of conveying that across the day. It is a 12-hour trip but definitely worth the early alarm. If I was to return to Madrid I would happily spend a whole day in either town.

False advertising - NO GUIDE INCLUDED FOR ALCAZAR NOR CATHEDRAL

Rocio was a great guide. She kept it fun and informative. The bus was a new bus and was comfortable. What let this tour down was the false advertising. A guide of the alcazar and a guide of the cathedral (if opted in) was advertised and described as included but it is actually NOT INCLUDED! You will be dropped off at the alcazar and also dropped off at the cathedral only with an entry along with a time a meet back at the bus - with no guide to accompany you through. Take this into consideration when comparing the tours. I raised this with the guide and she advised that the advertisement was incorrect and that the tour indeed does not include the aforementioned. I reached out to the company to alert them of the false advertisement and all they did was provide lip service for 'future'.

Amanda was easy to understand and very friendly. We had a great time even though it was raining on and off.

We went to the castle in Segovia and saw the aqueduct. We were given free time to walk around the town. Lots of souvenir shops and restaurants. In Toledo we went to the Cathedral which was very beautiful and worth a visit. Drove around and stopped at viewpoint. We also had free time there. Lots of candy shops , restaurants, souvenirs. Beautiful town. Only downside was no bathroom on the bus. Description said it had one. Long day but worth it.

Not Ever Doing a Two Language Tour Again

NOTE: This was a bilingual tour-meaning that we stood for several minutes at every stop while the guide gave long explanations in Spanish and then did it again in English. If the weather had been better, this might not have been an issue, but in 38 degrees with high wind, it was not comfortable. We also stood outside a LOT in the wind and the cold with no break for an inside warm up. The sights were beautiful. The bus was very nice. The guide was knowledgeable, but I certainly will never again do a tour that is being given in two languages. Also, it would have been nice to provide bottled water for the trip home.

Great trip to Ávila and Segovia

We had a very good guide and a wonderful experience on our trip from Madrid to Avila and Segovia for the day. For our trip we chose the option of having a full lunch in Segovia which I would highly recommend. The only unfortunate thing about our trip was the weather in Avila where we had ice and snow on the ground. This was no fault of the tour but it did limit what we could do regarding walking the walls of the city in Avila. It was too icy and dangerous. Our guide was fantastic and made sure we stayed safe and he was able to give us other options for our trip.

Visit to Segovia and Toledo Spain

Enjoyable trip. The tour guide took us to the important parts and explained it well. It was very cool to see the Roman aqueducts that brought the water from the mountains. I also enjoyed seeing the Jewish quarters and the church.

Toledo and Segovia are special

The Cathedral is definitely a must! An impressive art work by El Greco has its Sacristía as a little Capilla Sixtina.

2 beautiful cities

Two beautiful cities in one day. Plenty of free time to explore on your own. Guide gave enough info in each spot. It is a long day though, and the group is up to 30 people, so be prepared for that.

The tour was great! Rocio our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made our experience enjoyable. The cities of Segovia and Toledo are beautiful.

Highly Recommend!

The places toured were incredible, and Rocio did a great job explaining everything. What makes this tour company stand out though was no high-pressure sales stops- not even dumping you in a poor quality restaurant like other tours do. We spent all of our time seeing the cities instead of hearing sales pitches and you had to ask for restaurant recommendations. I just wish this tour company was in more cities worldwide.

An amazing day visiting Segovia and Toledo.

We took this tour on December 23, 2023. Great experience overall. Our guide was knowledgeable and had excellent English. We decided to take this trip with Segovia and Toledo only. We looked at the trip that included Avila but decided based on the reviews that trying to do Avila with Toledo and Segovia would be too much. Segovia and Toledo are must visit cities if you are staying in Madrid. We are so glad we went to both of these ancient cities curing our trip. It is a long day but well worth it!

Worth it

Rocio, Patricia and Ana were excellent and the experience was very good. My only observation would be that for a senior client which was my companion they were moving too fast and would start giving information before the person arrives. Nevertheless, they were good tour guides

Great tour leader!

Me being from Morocco, I asked the tour guide to elaborate more about the Andalusian part of the Spanish history and architecture. And ojalla, he was very knowledgeable and informative about the mudéjar art and the Morisco period. Other than that he was very pleasant, courteous and professional. Definitely an asset for your business. Thanks young man!

Maravilloso

This was an awesome trip led by Rocio. We were able to see the Alcazar in Segovia and the Catedral in Toledo - and so much more! As a historian, Rocio did an excellent job of narrating a memorable experience. Rocio shared her love of history with our group! So glad she recommended the ponche. Carlos was an amazing driver on IBE's luxury bus. Again, the almost 12-hour tour was excellent, and I would highly recommend to any other traveler.

Professionally organized trip

Professionally organized trip, knowledgeable guide, safe driver. The only thing that was really not a problem with the company was that the bus stop in Toledo had no amenities and barely any benches for the people to wait for the bus after spending all day walking around.

Excellent day trip from Madrid

Well organised trip, with great staff. Comfortable bus, with our driver Jesus very competent and safe. Rioco was a very entertaining guide with a quirky sense of humour, and kept us all informed. The tour of Segovia was fantastic, a great insight into the history and importance of the town and the influences that led to the development of the buildings. Be warned, though - Segovia is much colder than Madrid, so bring warm clothes and a scarf if it’s not summer. It was also great that we got to Segovia early, because it was quite crowded by the time we left for Toledo - and this was the off-season. Toledo was another well organised experience. We got to take pictures of the town from across the valley before arriving - you can see easily how the town was named. Walk a little way away from the main Plaza to find lunch - much cheaper and more authentic - and the shops are a bit different - lots of replica weapons, given Toledo’s steel history. The walking tour was informative, focused on the Cathedral and the religious influences of the town. The Cathedral is well worth the visit, even if you’re not into seeing yet another religious site. It’s enormous, has some wonderful paintings and the Monstrance is a must-see.

Perfect amount of time

Amanda de guide and Miguel the driver were great. Both of the Spanish guides in Segovia and Toledo were very knowledgeable. It was the perfect amount of time to see both cities.
