Antonio was the best guide we have had yet, and we have taken several tours in various countries. This experience goes above and beyond the average tourist sites. It gave us access to places that would be hard for us to navigate as people not from Spain. I thought the price was very reasonable for what you get on this tour.

Very well organized. Underground cellar stop was amazing. Highly recommend our tour guide CoSmin- he was a safe driver, took us to a delicious lunch and was knowledgeable. Our group had some amazing people and met friends to last a life time.

Full day of wine

Great visits, lots of wine, Antonio is an excellent tour guide. Three wineries is perfect for a full day. The number of people just 17, make it perfect size to move around.

Ribera del Duero tour

The vineyards visited were great , the choices were excellent because we were able to visit a modern one , a creative one and a traditional vineyard. The Tastings were interesting and with Tapas to complete the experience. The Guide was very knowledgeable about the area and wines in general. His recommendation of a Restaurant for lunch was perfect in a historic town . We really enjoyed and recommend the Ribera del Duero tour.

Wonderful spectrum of wineries and experience of Ribera Del Duero

We had a very small tour that felt very intimate. The tour host was very knowledgeable and very engaging. He explained the area and the wineries in detail and made the experience very comfortable and informative. The tour was all I had hoped it would be and more.

A Fabulous Day of Wine tasting

I had an amazing wine tasting experience in Spain with a great tour guide Ismael. Ismael was so knowledgeable and friendly which made the experience comfortable since I was a solo woman traveler. Each of the three vineyards were beautiful and the tastings were amazing. So much so that I purchased and shipped 3 cases of wine back to the US. This was my very first wine tasting / vineyard experience in Spain and I look forward to many more in the future. If you enjoy wine and have an interest in learning and experience delicious wine from Spain then this is the tour for you. It’s one you should definitely take and if you’re lucky as I was Ismael will be your guide. Thanks so much Ismael for an informative and unforgettable experience.

Fantastic tour

We loved this tour. Each winery was a different experience and they all had fantastic wines. Ismael was a great guide. Our group decided to eat lunch together and Ismael did a wonderful job of selecting a variety of delicious authentic tapas for us. A must do tour !

Solid tour with very knowledgeable guide

We really enjoyed the tour - besides the good wine and good food we also learned a lot, and our guide Ismael was extremely knowledgeable and went well beyond the basics in explaining the winemaking history and traditions of the region.

Loved it !

This truly exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in culture and history, this is it. This is a long day so keep that in mind but I loved it and loved the idea of an all day trip. From eating with locals & being able to go into wine caves, this was just so unique. ANTONIO WAS AMAZING !! If you can request a tour guide, Antonio is it !!

Fantastic day in Ribera del Duero

Great tour to 3 very different bodegas/wineries in the Ribera del Duero region, from the older/classic/low production to the more modern and sophisticated. Antonio our guide was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and with great energy. Tasted 9 different wines (three in each place), all of them were really good. Had good lunch (paid separately) in a very authentic pub/bar/old restaurant full of older locals. Departed at 9am and returned around 8pm. Definitely 5 Stars/Highly recommended.

All the wineries were...

All the wineries were amazing! The coolest one was underground in caves beneath a mountain. Our guide Ismael was also super knowledgeable.

Our tour to the Ribera del Duero wineries was absolutely wonderful! The small group tour, only six of us including our guide Ismael, was perfect! Ismael was great, friendly and knowledgeable, and provided a lot of information during the ride and even within the wineries. All three wineries we visited were very nice and the wines were delicious.

Authentic & Fascinating Wine Experience

Whether you are just an amateur wine lover or an avid connoisseur looking for an authentic wine experience in Madrid Wine Region, stop here. I took the Ribera del Duero DO tour in July 2023, and words can't describe the quality of this experience. Ismael, our guide has a deep knowledge of wine and I had an amazing day talking with him and learning about this beautiful and essential wine region. What's more, he is a hospitable and warm host, the kind of professional who loves his job and for him the travel industry is not just a way to make a living but a way to live and share with travelers knowledge and the best his land offers. We visited three wineries, which were hand picked with a concept: to introduce us to different aspects of the wine production and do taste the most profound examples of each. We also had a lunch break in a beautiful town during siesta hours which I loved as walking towards the restaurant noone was out but surprise-surprise the traditional restaurant we ate was vibrant and full with people, offered scrumptious local dishes and had an amazing underground cellar. Must say that the last winery we visited, escalated the experience and for me it was an emotional way to complete this tour as I was deeply touched by the quality work and the philosophical approach of the producer, who I was very fortunate to meet there. Why emotional? Because wine is something much more than an indulging experience. It's a way to understand the entity of nature, culture and people's mentality. And as this tour covered all of the above, I should say that this is an excellent experience that I wish all people have! Ismael, I'm greatful, thank you once again and I hope we'll meet again in this or other wine lands for more talks and tastings! All the best, Irene

Great Tour through very different wineries. All the host were very kind and provide excelent service. Antonio was our guide and was very friendly and has a lot of knowledge about wine.

wine Tasting in the area of Ribera del Duero

Wow - what an amazing day spent in the countryside outside Madrid tasting wines! I was completely blown away by the Rose' we sampled - Actually they call them Clarets as the colour was a deeper red than a Rose would be. But delicious. We went to 3 wineries but i would say favourite winery was the Valsotillo for its underground caves and the repairs the owner did to them. Hard to believe back then it was all carved out by hand! Great tour with guide Ismael

Ismael was a wonderful guide. On the drive to the first winey, he provided us with a history of wineries which was appreciated. He answered all questions and was very patient. Our lunch was held at a great place, and he made us feel very comfortable. The tour of the wine caves was outstanding! I would definitely recommend Isamel as a tour guide; you will not be disappointed, and you will come away understanding the wine making process. Three cheers for Ismael!

Great day trip

Great day trip from Madrid. Guide Ismael was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very sociable. He made the trip totally enjoyable. Three wineries with guided tours and tasting. Lunch at a tapas bar was also excellent. Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing and Comprehensive Wine Tour

An amazing day wine tasting with Ismael! He shared a variety of wineries with us on our Ribera del Duero Wine Tour. Each with a unique story and varying wines that were pleasing to the palate. I recently received my wines from the trip and have been taken back. I’d recommend to anyone in the Madrid area. We were also able to share a delicious and authentic lunch in a local town in between tastings. The whole day was fantastic!

Excellent Winery Tour!

The tour was excellent! We visited 3 wineries - one new school, one old world and a larger modern winery. We did tours of the cellars and processing areas each winery. The old school winery had a vast network of caves in a hillside where the wine is stored in barrels. Alfonso was a very knowledgeable and very personable guide!

We spent the day with Ismael who was a pleasure and so knowledgeable in Spain history and wine itself. We visited 3 very different wineries and none were a disappointment. I would highly recommend.

Amazing trip - amazing guide!

Ishmael was an amazing guide and the trip was wonderful. The wineries were wonderful and we learned so much! It was so cool to see go into mountain where they are storing all the wines to age. Definitely take this tour - you won’t be disappointed!

Ishmial is VERY knowledgeable about his wines. Affable, and entertaining. The wineries he choose were different, good, and not easily found bottles in the US. The small van, small group concept was perfect. Having 6 cases shipped home

Great tour of three wineries!

Alfonso was an incredibly generous guide, he took steps to make the group feel comfortable and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The tour itself was a great look at three different types of wineries in the region with a lovely lunch break at a local restaurant that Alfonso had arranged ahead of time, given that in that day choices were very limited due to the national holiday. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

Amazing!

Nacho was so knowledgeable and fun, the vineyards were amazing (both the wine and the locations themselves) and this was easily one of the best parts of our Spain vacation

An Informative and Enjoyable Experience

We learned about wine and its production process during this trip. We visited 3 very different wineries, a traditional family run small scale winery with an underground wine storage cellar , a small contemporary winery and a modern large winery and got to taste three types of wine at each place. We visited the small town for lunch where our guide recommended a good restaurant with a basement cellar and showed us the front of a beautiful chapel . The excellent service and wine knowledge of our guide made the trip a very memorable and enjoyable one.

Amazing day in the vineyards.

Seeing 3 very different wineries. One more of a corporate /automated nature, the second a smaller very hands on winery which showed you the whole process of doing it yourself and the 3rd winery brought us through a cave 90 metres below ground. Our tour guide Ismael was extremely informative, patient and friendly. An amazing day was had by all.

Educational but entertaining wine tour in one of the finest wine producing regions of the world

Great tour guide (Ismael). Very knowledgeable. We lucked out and had a very small group. He was patient with us and accommodated all of our needs. Highly recommend if you have any interest in wines.

Outstanding Wine Tasting and Learning Tour

All 3 wineries were wonderful, but the visit to Val Sotillo’s underground storage area since the 1800s was IMPRESSIVE!

Excelent experience, we...

Excelent experience, we were very impressed with the history of of the oldest Vineyard from the 17th century and the originals cavas that still in use today. They made the chemistry of producing wine an art reaching perfection.

Fabulous tour with a small group

Ismael the tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable about the wine making and viticultural practices of the region. The wineries were beautiful and not stingy with the wine or snacks. The wines were awesome. Great small group tour!

Incredible!!

Ismael was a fantastic guide. So knowledgeable and took us to 3 wineries all a bit different. The wines were amazing and the sommeliers outstanding. We went as a group to a small restaurant and our guide chose different food samplings for us. Delicious ! Highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed.

Best Wine Tour of Ribera del Duero!

My husband and I have been to many vineyards and several day trips to wine regions around the world. This day trip is the best we’ve ever been on… with 3 very different wineries, excellent wine (it’s worth tasting others on menu for additional fee), and an experienced wine maker, Ismael, as our guide. The winery tours introduced us to a range of methods and techniques for creating unique and differentiated flavors from (mainly) Tempranillo grapes. Some of what we heard was very new to us and it became very educational. Ismael added to the learning by answering our specific questions as the experience sparked our curiosity. And he took us to a wonderful place for lunch in a small village, working with our vegetarian diets. All in all, we highly recommend this day trip with Ismael. We’ll never forget our time with him in the Ribera del Duero!

Unique wineries

We really enjoyed the 3 wineries we visited on this trip. The only downside is the amount of time in the bus to get out to wine country. The wineries were all interesting in their own way, but my favorite stop was when we got to tour the caves at Bodegas Ismael Arroyo ValSotillo. Lunch of pintxos was quite the experience, and very tasty too.

This trip was amazing. We visited three different vineries, all varying in size of production and style of wine. The tour guide was really informative. We learned a ton and tasted a lot of good wine. The trip was beautiful. One of the highlights of our experiences in Madrid. Highly recommend.
