Great Private Tour of Madrid & Toledo

My wife and I booked a 2-day tour of Madrid and Toledo for our most recent visit to Spain. We were recommended Madrid & You as a great option, and it truly was a fantastic visit. We booked and communicated with Diego over email and tailored our visit to our specific needs. He did a great job of answering questions, and was very responsive even after the tour was booked. Our guide for both Madrid and Toledo was Moises. He was great! His knowledge of both cities and the beautiful artwork in the Prado museum made the trip and tour so informative. His english was excellent and was very attentive to all of our needs. I highly recommend this tour company for anyone looking for a more tailored and personalized trip to Madrid.

<p>We were lucky to be guided by Diego! He managed to keep the group 3 adults and 3 kids very interested in the history and the whereabouts of the the city. Because of his humor and sophisticated personality we walked around and did a very satisfactory sightseeing without getting tired or bored! Madrid is a really really nice town and you can walk around its historical centre very easily. Our guide was also very very helpful in suggesting upcoming neighbourhoods to walk to and very nice places to dine. We followed all of his suggestions and we had a great time.<br/> Overall, this tour is really worth it, especially with such a good guide such as Diego!</p>

Excellent walking tour of Madrid with Diego !

Excellent walking tour with Diego- we learned so much about the Madrid culture and history. My teenagers found Diego interesting and engaging. He kept us all on our toes and thinking about the history of Spain in the world scene. We learned a lot about the current Madrid situations and what is happening with the current people of Madrid and Spain.

Excellent walking tour of Madrid with Diego!

We booked a 3 hour walking tour with Diego for Christmas Day so everything was closed but we managed to feel like we saw a lot and got to know Madrid even with the city being quiet. He gave us a feel for the neighborhoods and a feel for what the Madrid people are like. He managed to keep my teenagers engaged which is not an easy task and he got us a reservation at a great restaurant to enjoy a typical spanish meal on Christmas Day. Thanks so much Diego!!

<p>Diego was an amazing tour guide! I highly recommend Diego. Our time in Madrid would have been nothing like it was because of Diego. He is extremely knowledgeable, flexible, polite and attentive. Worth every dime and more. Diego went above and beyond required by him by making suggestions, and providing other tour guide recommendations for Barcelona and restaurant recommendations throughout Spain. When we return to Madrid, we will be sure to book Diego well in advance.</p>

Great walking tour of Madrid with Diego!

We just spent three hours walking through Madrid with the most wonderful guide Diego. He met us promptly at our Airbnb and from the moment he arrived he felt like a member of our party. He waked us through some amazing neighborhoods and the tour highlighted the many different areas of Madrid. He sat with us at the end and showed us on a map where we had been. He was full of recommendations and helped us make a dinner reservation at Bar Galetta that was outstanding. I would highly recommend Madrid and you and the services of Diego.

Best guided tour in Madrid - also for business groups / corporate events

We were a group of 30 People attending a Microsoft Event in Madrid and really wanted an entertaining, engaging, informative tour in Madrid and Diego exceeded all our expectations. We were amazed by his Knowledge and engaging way how to interact with all of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the Walking tour in the evening when he showed us "Madrid of the Habsburgs". In Addition, the preparation for this Event was hugely professional and very swift! It was like saying goodbye to a friend when we parted and we are sending the warmest regards and huge appreciation for being able to spend time with Diego last evening!

Great Local Experience

My boyfriend and I toured with Diego when we were in Madrid two weeks ago and it felt like we were visiting a friend who was passionate and knowledgeable about the city. He took us to neighborhoods we may not have otherwise ventured to to show us local markets and share details of the architecture in each place. He was able to discuss both historical and contemporary issues in the city, and we walked away with a broad knowledge of Madrid, past and present without feeling like we were being fed facts. Overall it was a great morning!

Diego offered us 3 hours walking tour to get an introduction of the city which really were 3.5 hours. Diego was amazing, very friendly and an expert guideHe made wonderful commentary and even showed us historical photos on his Ipad. He recommended us the best restaurants in town and the best cocktail bars to have a drink in Madrid. He also showed us part of their habits and their way of living in Madrid. Our family really liked him. Diego is a great representative of Madrid and he was kindly available by mail for questions on recommendations during our stay in the city..Fully enjoyed our Private tour! Highly recommend !!!</p>

We received incredible service throughout the entire process. Diego was very helpful and the group was flexible as our travel arrangements were delayed repeatedly. Communication was fast and helpful throughout and we were able to set up a fabulous tour that met all of our needs. Moises was an amazing tour guide. He gave us many option on what we would like to do and see and was very knowledgeable. He was also great about suggesting locations for pictures and taking pictures of the group. He was very patient with all of our questions and was able to suggest places for us to eat and visit once the tour was over. This really was the best part of what an awesome visit to Madrid.

Insightful tour of Madrid

Celebrating my Mothers Birthday, we wanted to do a private tour of Madrid and contacted Madrid and You. It was very easy communicating with them and nothing was a problem... Well, our excellent guide Moises had not received all the information communicated from me beforehand, but it was not a big deal, we had a great day in Madrid both on foot and by car, as we wanted to see areas a little further from "our" area. Moises knows it all, and is very easy to be around, so no complains !

Fantastic walking tour of Madrid

My wife, 21 yr old daughter and I met Moises Zapata at our hotel and he proceeded to walk us through the wonderful old parts of Madrid. He was so insightful and easy to spend four hours learning the history and layout of Madrid. I would highly recommend this tour and to top it all, he recommended one of the best restaurants we have eaten at so far. Worth the time and money. Thanks Moises

Great guide - excellent orientation to Madrid

We booked a private tour to get us oriented to the city once arrived from our overnight flight. Moises met us at our hotel and was very considerate of our jetlag and our interests in getting our bearings while learning some history and a general plan for what we should do while in town. We walked to all the main highlights and neighborhoods of the city, popped into a few museums around the park, and got great tips before getting us situated on the subway to get back to our hotel. He really set us up well to enjoy our time in Madrid - he is very knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend the day with.

Awesome tour guide

We only had 3 days in Madrid, so we wanted to make the most of it by going on a private day tour. I found the day tour company through Trip Advisor, of course, and they arranged the best tour guide, Moises Zapata, who was very knowledgeable about Madrid's history and spoke very good English. We visited the Royal Palace (incredible), Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor & Retiro Park...all main highlights of Madrid. When we wanted to visit a specific shop (an official Real Madrid store & Lola Fonseca-beautiful hand painted silk scarves), he found the place and served as an excellent translator. I highly recommend taking a private tour through Madrid & You. There is so much to see that I would advise taking the 8 hour tour if you have the time. Note that tickets to visit the Prado Museum, Royal Palace, etc. and any food or drink are not included in the tour price.

Interesting tour with friendly guide

I asked for a five hour guided walking tour to get to know Madrid. Everything was easily arranged and Madridandyou were very responsive. The guide Moises Perez Zapata was really knowledgeable about Madrid and put the city and its landmarks into context for me as well as explaining the well known sites. He was very personable and tolerated my Spanish speaking well! I would highly recommend him as a guide. I enjoyed the day very much.

Los crímenes de Madrid

La actividad fue muy entretenida y recomendable. La realizamos los compañeros del equipo de trabajo con Diego como guía y fue muy divertida y curiosa al mismo tiempo. Diego es fantástico: elegante, fino, culto ,con glamour, un madrileño de pura cepa amante de la ciudad y su gente, nos mostró el Madrid para disfrutar , de sus calles, las comidas y bebidas en los restaurantes de toda la vida y los nuevos, los comercios, las costumbres, vimos el cambio que fue dando esta metrópoli , una historia muy particular para ser la capital de un país de Europa en la que yo he vivido por dos años hace 10 años , fue un gusto compartir esa tarde con Diego , finalmente conocí bien Madrid desde la perspectiva de Diego me pareció mas linda aún la ciudad, se los recomiendo para los que quieran caminar y descubrir el encanto de una realidad.

Fantástica visita por el Madrid de los Austrias, descubriendo rincones.

Después de casi 40 años viviendo en Madrid, conocí lugares y leyendas que no había visto ni escuchado, una de las que más me gustó, entender el porqué de algunas placas de casas antiguas. Un paseo muy agradable, fantástico utilizar sistemas de audio individuales porque te permiten pasear a tu antojo, sin tener que estar pegado al guía. Al ser un grupo grande, nos ha permitido caminar tranquilamente y separarnos del grupo para hacer fotografías sin perder el hilo de la explicación. Muy recomendable por la relación calidad - precio, tanto para madrileños como para turistas.
