Getting the bus from Madrid Airport to Alcala de Henares

I tried to find details of the coach link between Madrid Airport and Alcala de Henares, but could only see really old reviews. So here is an up to date review. The service is great. Bus no 824 stops outside terminals 1 and 2/3. It departs every half hour during the week and every hour at weekends. It takes about 40 minutes into the centre of Alcala and coasts € 3.60. Pay in cash or use a Madrid Metro/Bus card. The bus journey avoids all the effort and expense of catching a metro into the centre of Madrid and the train out to A de H. I recommend it. Also Alcala is a beautiful town and every tourist to central Madrid should take a day out...

Rip-off

Taxi company tried to rip me off for 16 euro. I paid Viator for 4 bags of luggage and for 4 passengers. Taxi company wanted 16 euros for my luggage. I only had 4 bags (2 for me and 2 for my wife). I reported it to Viator.

Service was very good. A little hard to find the meeting place in the Madrid Airport, but it worked out just fine.

Don’t buy this tour

Don’t buy this tour. They handle flight delays and changes horribly. They are completely unhelpful and take forever to show up. Uber was far superior and much cheaper. Staff not knowledgeable at all besides not being helpful. Uber was super convenient. Biggest mistake I have ever made. Finally gave up waiting and calling for 30 to 40 minutes and took an Uber. Totally wasted my money and never even received the service.

Family trip to Madrid.

The service was excellent. The initial instructions received via booking.com were not as accurate as the ones issued by the taxi company. As a result we initially couldn’t see our driver. However, after a quick call to the company, they provided better instructions and our driver found us in no time. Not only did we have a comfortable ride, our driver also gave us excellent directions through the pedestrian area of the city, to our hotel. Highly recommended and we would definitely use the service again (5 Star).

Horrible if your disabled

Horrible experience the Madrid airport has horrible wheelchair service and my Husband has neurological condition and needs help in the airport the was company unwilling to let pay them to wait . Also they did not offer a solution or refund. Taxis are only $30 Eruos to the city center anyways .

Highly recommend for stress free transportation

Our driver was on time, super helpful, and very nice. She had an iPad with my first and last name on it which made it easy to locate. Once we got our baggage we were in the car within 15 minutes. Highly recommend

Excellent service; great communication

Juan Manuel communicated where he would meet us. We exchanged our location-getting through security, gathering our luggage, and exiting the arrivals hall. He was only 2 minutes away when we exited the airport. He parked and loaded all of luggage. He gave us a lots of information about the areas we drove through. Would gladly ride with him again.

Save your money

Not happy at all. We booked well inadvance, but we got delayed at the airport due to unavailability of wheelchair for my wife. The vendor threatened to cancel the ride and forced to pay us an additional 30 euros for the delay.

Home safe and sound

In addition to g getting us to our apartment, our driver assisted us in contacting our VRBO host and ensured we were able to make contact before leaving us at our destination.

Relaxed transfer

We had a delay of more than one and a half hours but once we arrived amd contacted them the driver came in only a few minutes.

Dreadful customer service. Driver didn't wait.

Didn't turn up. Flight was 30 mins late and we came straight through with only hand luggage. We were left waiting at a wet airport with 2 young children. Apparently the driver waited for the allocated amount of 'free' time. We would have struggled to get through any quicker if we had luggage to collect. Driver made no attempt to contact me before leaving. Company refused to send another driver. Not impressed.

First impression in Madrid

Driver was friendly and professional. We easily found him at arrival. The car was spacious, 5 people with 3 suitcases easily fit. It was comfortable.

Our driver was great. We landed early and they came to pick us up early. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Do not use this service

Company began 60 minute waiting time the minute the (international) flight landed -- had supplied flight number and scheduled arrival to avoid cancellation in the event of a flight delay. Problem is that time to gate, exit plane and walk from plane to passport control was about 30 minutes. Time in passport control was 25 minutes. Time from passport control to arrivals hall (train and long walk) was 23 minutes -- exactly the time posted in the terminal. We received call from vendor while waiting for the train that driver had waited 45 minutes plus 15 extra per the agreement and was leaving. We had yo pay for a taxi to hotel. Based on company's practice, it would be virtually impossible for any coach passenger on a non EU flight to reach the arrivals hall within contracted time. If they were professional, they would start their clock at least 30 minutes after arrival at gate for flights at this terminal -- and that would be cutting it close.

Couldn't book round-trip transfer

Your web site made it impossible to book round-trip transfer. Ended up booking return to airport with another vendor. Driver was prompt, helpful, and courteous. However, other waiting drivers were well dressed. Our driver showed up in tee shirt and jeans.

Ripoff

It was supposed to be a private luxury car. It was a regular taxi. I could have gotten a cab for less. Ripoff

Take a taxi

We had notified Taxi2Spain two days before arrival we would not be through passport control, baggage claim etc before 0900. When we exited customs at 0910 we could not find our driver. We called and were told he had left the airport. Their representative acknowledged they had received our msg. They did refund our money, so at least they were somewhat legitimate. Take a taxi from airport!

Despite booking business...

Despite booking business option (Mercedes E-Class or similar) with higher price and despite re-confirming this again by WhatsApp as well, normal group Sedan Taxi was sent to us. And it was even no topic for them to be sorry or to make a refund for the difference after the trip.

Not honest

Non existent service. Inflexible I wanted to change the route but they refused. They said they rang the driver to check but the driver said no one contacted him to even ask about the change.

We arrived early to Madrid and they werr exceptional at accomodating an early arrival and stayed in communication the whole time! Would recommend again!

Easy way to city centre for six

Great information beforehand. We had to wait for a while for our driver Luis although have received a message that he was there waiting for us. No help via info number. Luis came 55 minutes after we landed.

Disappointed

Once we got in the car all went well. Our party arrived on two separate planes. We identified the later flight to the service for tracking purposes. There was a delay for that later flight. It became clear that the company was mot tracking flights when they called us a few minutes after the originally scheduled arrival wondering where we were. The phone agent seemed annoyed when I pointed out that the flight was arriving late and we needed another hour. The driver was visibly anxious when he finally picked us up and demanded another 10 euros. The rate was high to begin with, but to charge another 10 euro was wrong, they should have been tracking the flight.

Super serviceminded chauffeur

Serviceminded and friendly chauffeur. Nice and clean car. We were delayed and hour, but the chauffeur had checked our flight and still waited further for us.

Forgotten paid customers in a foreign country!

In Chicago the Iberia Spain crew was late arriving therefore when we arrived late our transportation had left when they should have checked our flight arrival changed and we had to search in an foreign country for transport to our hotel. I had ordered the transport in advance and couldn’t see there message until we had landed due to no wi-fi. I would like a refund!
