Amazing E-Bike Tour

Who would have thought that I would learn the most about Madrid on an e-bike tour? We had an amazing tour. Our guide was Jacob. He was so knowledgeable, told great stories, and also kept us safe on the e-bikes through Madrid. If you are worried about safety on the bikes don't be. I am 66 my husband is 67 we had not ridden e-bikes before.

More exciting than planned for.

The tour and guide were very good. The city was mad with crowds, police and protesters so it was a little tense at times. But we were a small group and all returned safely.

Fun and beautiful way to see Madrid

The Bike tour was a really fun way to experience Madrid. the parks and bike trails were excellent and superior to most other cities.

Madrid is not bike-friendly

Tour was efficient, everybody was nice, bikes worked, guide was knowledgeable. But…Madrid is not very bike-friendly and we went through some very dangerous roads with lots of traffic. There were about 9 of us which is way too many people for 1 guide when we are trying to traverse crowded intersections.

Fun and informative e-bike tour of Madrid!

Our guide (from Cuba) was very informative and taught us a lot about Madrid and it’s history. Highly recommended!

Excellent 3 hours.

Great guide. Great tour. Really got a great feel for the city center of Madrid. Recommend doing this early in your stay in Madrid to get the lay of the land.

A Fun Ride Through Madrid!

I’m afraid I’m going to have to contradict a previous reviewer who said Pablo didn’t know any history and led a dangerous bike tour, as my experience with Pablo was the opposite, but perhaps it was a different Pablo? Either way, I had a great time biking around the city and the Parque de Retiro while learning interesting facts about each spot we stopped at along the way, and Pablo led a perfectly safe tour as well.

Great way to see Madrid

E-bike tour with Fran was well worth doing and good value largely because of Fran’s enthusiasm and humour as well as his knowledge. Just don’t mentioned Athletico! E-bikes are a great way to see Madrid and these guys are central and at 3 hours the tour is just the right length of time. Great to do early in your visit and go back to the places you liked.

Easy tour of Madrid

Retiro Park was a perfect place to tour on our electric bikes, especially after navigating through the Madrid traffic. Pablo was great stopping and showing us the sights and gave us plenty of time to check things out and take photos.

Unsafe and uninformed- but great bikes

Let me start with the positives: The operator uses brand new electric bikes that are fun to ride and perform extremely well. They also give you a helmet liner so the rental helmets stay clean and tge departure point is located conveniently close to major attractions. …but the tour was conducted is a fashion that was unsafe and uninformed. Luckily everyone in our group was experienced cyclist so we could keep on with our guide who just took off after the stops - going into busy 3 lane traffic lanes without any communication or coordination. We never felt so unsafe in a bike tour and we have done 50+ tours in many cities we visited in the past. The guide Pablo was nice and offered to take pictures but he seemed completely uninformed about the city and - besides a couple trivial pop culture facts - but unable to share any historical or cultural details. Would not repeat this - which is a shame as the operator clearly invested in high quality well maintained bikes.

Gloria, our guide was knowledgeable and a delight. The tour was a perfect way to see the heart of Madrid while feeling safe to navigate the streets on bicycle as a newcomer.

E-bike tours will now be our first booking in all newly visited cities

Georgina was an excellent and caring guide for my family. The tour was just the 4 of us (including my 13year old) and our first experience with an E-bike. Wow, that was awesome, and we are looking for E-bike tours in all the other cities we are traveling to now. Georgina was great and spoke very good English. Safety and fun were top priorities, but usedul and interesting information about what we were seeing was interesting. We did have a problem with the battery on one of our bikes which couldn't be fixed, but she immediately swapped her bike and we pedalled on... she having to pedal quite a bit more. would highly recommend to any friends visiting Madrid. Also very impressed with how clean Madrid is compared to other large cities. impressive.

Scam, false advertisement, ruined day and rude service

It is an awful scam with false advertisement, and we also received unbelievably rude service instead of apologies. On the Wonder Tour website I booked a trip for 3 adults, as it clearly says that 10+ years old is count as an adult, and I also booked and paid for a baby seat. The baby seat is advertised as a first option on the main info about a tour. When we came 10 min before the tour, the staff did not even look that I needed baby seat, more than that - they seemed to not actually have it. But then the guide said she cannot accept babies on tour and that Madrid is dangerous for bikes, there are no special bike routes (again, exactly opposite than the website advertised) and she will not have any people with babies, period. OK, but then she told my two teenagers cannot go because no one can participate in a tour under 18 years old without an accompanying adult. On the website I booked everything correctly and then they tell me it is impossible, ruining our precious day in Madrid! I told to the guide hat those kids go everywhere by themselves and are super confident bikers, and that she would likely having more problems with her 50+ members of the group. But she just left. The Wonder Tour staff refunded me, instead of trying to find us another guide, more corresponding to their own advertisement, and instead of apologies they told "please finish" 10 times on anything I asked them. OK, your English is more than limited and this is not a big deal, but your attitude to your own clients is most shocking I have ever experienced. Shame.

E-asy way to see the highlights of Madrid!!

We were lucky with the weather and it was only the two of us so it couldn't have been better!! We had a great cycle around all the highlights of Madrid with our charming, informative guide. Highly recommended!!

Perfect 1st day activity!

Seeing beautiful Madrid on an e bike is a perfect first day trip. On a bike, you can cover so much more territory than on foot. Our guide gave us much interesting information.

Excellent Guide and Experience. Cool vibe

Gloria was out guide and moved easily back and forth in Spanish and English. The weather was perfect and, being late September and on a weekday, the crowds and traffic were manageable. It was a great overview of the center of the city and many of the things on offer. The vibe at Wonder Tours is accommodating and laid back. It seems like the folks working there are enjoying themselves.

Excellent tour around Madrid

Borja was an excellent guide! He entertained many questions from my teenagers and they enjoyed learning about Spain and Madrid - and shared some American slang with Borja. The electric bike was awesome and made the hills at the end of the tour manageable.

Long weekend away city break

We have used electric bike tours in a few cities such as Seville & Paris and they were fantastic. Unfortunately this one wasn't so good. The tour was a mixture of ordinary and electric bikes. Once we had adjusted the bikes ourselves - the guide wasn't too interested - we set off on the tour. After a slow start the guide improved and was reasonably knowledgeable. The biggest problem was that a significant amount of the tour was spent dodging pedestrians as we were cycling on the pavement. This meant that it was difficult to enjoy the tour when we spent most of the time trying to avoid knocking people down.

Ok, but not that special.

We have seen most of the highlights of Madrid in a 3 hour ride. The tour was Ok but nothing really special. Some technical problems caused also some delay. Would not book this trip again and look for something more special. If you are fine with average this is Ok.

Esperienza molto positiva

Esperienza fantastica che ti da un’idea dei posti da visitare con calma i giorni successivi. La guida molto disponibile ci lasciava entrare a fare foto. La scelta della e-bike è stata azzeccata dato che ci sono vari saliscendi. Purtroppo non c è la guida in italiano ma ho capito molto della storia di Madrid anche se il mio livello di inglese non è buonissimo. La sto consigliando ai miei conoscenti.

Educational, spontaneous, funny, sporty.

The Tour was educational led by a spontaneous and funny guide. The bikes took some getting used to, but after 3 hours you really get to see something. For really unsportsmanlike people like me: you will feel it in your muscles the next day! But no pain, no gain! 😃

Tour de Madrid décontracté et sans effort.

Guide très sympa et soucieux de la sécurité. Mais beaucoup d'embouteillage le jour de notre tour, ce qui a freiné un peu le rythme. Manque malgré tout un peu d'histoire de Madrid et de l'Espagne en général. Matériel de qualité.

Recorriendo Madrid de forma original y divertida

¡Gloria fue maravillosa! Un lindísimo tour privado en bici eléctrica por Madrid. Dos horas muy divertidas, recorriendo diferentes barrios hasta el Retiro y vuelta. Una forma original, dinámica y divertida de ver esta preciosa ciudad y conocer su historia.

Bicicletas en pésimo estado y un guía malhumorado

Este proveedor no debería tener permitido ofrecer tours con semejantes vejestorios de bicicletas. Tomé el tour y parece que la bicicleta se m iba a desarmar. QUÉ PELIGROOOOOOOOO !!! Le hice el comentario al guía y me respondió que ya se lo habían dicho al dueño, pero que “él no hace caso”, “pon la queja si quieres” Para rematar, aunque sí bien es cierto me ayudaron a cambiar la fecha de mi tour porque me enfermé … luego me pidieron que yo lo cambiara porque no había llegado el resto del grupo… Honestamente no podía hacerlo porque tenía un acto de grado, un compromiso académico .. Pues esto molestó bastante al joven guía ecuatoriano que trabaja ahí … salió al tour sin ganas , aburrido , y la bicicleta sonaba sin aceite , sin potencia , etc etc Al final ese chico terminó tuteándome y reclamándome que no moví mi fecha …por Diossss… muy desubicado ese jovencito!!!! SI NO QUIEREN PASAR UN MAL RATO, no hagan con esta empresa el tour de bicicleta eléctrica… Hay otros tours muchísimo mejores , con bicicletas en buen estado y seguras, y con gente educada y agradable !!!

Onze gids Gloria was heel zorgzaam voor haar fietsers. Rustig tempo met de nodige commentaren onderweg. Het was bijzonder aangenaam. Haar Engels was voortreffelijk. Ze deed ook moeite om regelmatig in het Spaans uitleg te geven, wat ik haar gevraagd had.

Gloria bis guidaba por los caminos de bicicleta, pequeñas calles i raramente en toda seguridad a través el trafico. Se adaptó muy bien a nos deseos. El parque retiro era maravilloso.

Madrid en bicicleta: otros puntos de vista de esta encantadora ciudad

La experiencia nos encantó. Gloria nos condujo por la ruta seleccionada, escuchando lo que ya habíamos visitado de Madrid y, en función de ello, agregando puntos que podían complementar nuestra estadía en ésta hermosa ciudad. Elegimos la ruta Madrid Río, Casa de campo. Queríamos vivir la experiencia de bicicletear más en contacto con la naturaleza. Fue nuestro debut en bicicletas eléctricas y en verdad resultó un paseo super diafrutable (y con gran ayuda en las subidas... sobre todo). Gloria fue una guía muy amable, conocedora de su ciudad y muy dispuesta. Recomendamos sin dudar vivir la experiencia: Madrid desde otros puntos de vista. Si te gusta la naturaleza, no te lo podés perder

Paseo descubriendo lugares desconocidos de Madrid. Jardiners Escondidos, restaurants antiguos, Barrios radicionales, vistas espectaculars y todo sobre bicis con motor.

Es la tercera vez que tomamos los servicios de Wonder Tours, realmente saben lo que hacen, profesionales en todo sentido, los guías magníficos, los equipos en perfecto estado, el tour mas que entretenido, estuvimos esta vez en su tour de ebike con nuestra hija de 2 años y hemos disfrutado de Madrid felices.
