Robert was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable, articulate, and personable. Being a Monday, the streets were not very crowded and we could make our way through the city easily. Great way to start the day and learn about a new location.

Run tour Madrid

Nikki was a great guide who provided plenty of details about the sights, sounds and history of Madrid. Pick me up from my accomodation, saw all the sights I wanted to see and gave me some options for other runs.

Highly Recommended

Well worth waking up early for, even if you are jet lagged. You get to explore the city in the quiet time, before it wakes up. Our guide, Nikki, was excellent, full of knowledge and set an appropriate pace. Beware that the meeting location in the email says only “sol” and if you click on that word, Google Maps will take you to the wrong place. Meet at Plaza del Sol.👍

Robert was a great guide. We ran 4 miles through the city and stopped many places to learn about the history, architecture, and other interesting facts about Madrid. I would do this tour again. Fun way to see Madrid and learn new things at the same time.

Great exercise and great tips

I went for the early morning run with Grace and it was fantastic. She was very enthusiastic and helpful, and took some great photos along the way. She was very informative, knowing the history of the city well and what was especially great for me was that she was able to point out some great spots to eat for tapas and for lunch later on - indeed she recommended a restaurant which I went to for a special treat for my birthday and it was superb I'm just getting back into running after an injury (and fatness), but Grace was very considerate and the run was good at a considerate pace given my ability. Overall I would highly recommend this tour - a great way to get round the city, get some exercise done, know a bit about the history and layout of the city and get some quality recommendations for places to eat and avoid the tourist traps.

Great experience, strongly recommend!

Ulrik was quick to communicate and provide details throughout - I should have read it better as I went to the wrong starting place which is currently under construction. My running guide Philip patiently waited for me while I rushed over to the actual starting point and then went on a 7km tour around the city. Philip set a good pace, perfect to push me a bit, but never exhausted me. The tour started at 7.30am at which point it was still dark, cool and the city very quiet, which is perfect for a run! We saw all the major and some minor attractions on the tour, without the huge lines of tourists everywhere you get later in the day Philip was very friendly, informative and spent a solid 10 minutes after the tour giving me tons of recommendations for my stay in Madrid - all of which have turned out to be amazing so far! Can thoroughly recommend doing a tour with these guys, what a great way to start your day in Madrid!

A wonderful running experience

Ulrik is a fantastic guide who offered so much knowledge and insight into the city. He shared its historical background as well as making great recommendations of places to enjoy. It was lovely to run early in the morning at a time when it was quiet and a little cooler. It was a very scenic and enjoyable tour of between 3.5 and 4 miles with lots of pauses to take in the city's highlights. I did this as a solo traveller and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ulrik's tour to anyone who enjoys running and wants to soak up the views, and to have lovely company and interesting information shared with them along the way. Thank you so much, Ulrik!

A great way to see Madrid!

We had a fantastic time running around Madrid on a Saturday morning with Ulrik. Not only was he punctual and very knowledgeable about the history of the city... both important things... but he was also very funny, affable, and pointed out his favorite places for coffee, food, culture, etc. as we jogged along our route. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get a couple of enjoyable miles under their belt while learning about some historical and esoteric bits of Madrid.

Great way to experience the city!!

Ulrik is fantastic! He is not only a great runner with so much knowledge of the city, but he is also very patient with runners of all levels. He has tons of wonderful recommendations for restaurants/bars, cultural sites, and information about the local culture and customs. My family and I highly recommend this attraction!

Perfect start to Madrid Vacation

We had a fantastic running tour with our guide Ulrik. I recommend booking an early morning run on your first full day in Madrid so you get the lay of the land, plus ideas for how you want to spend all your time there. Ulrik is a great guide! He is very knowledgeable and interesting. He provided excellent recommendations for us for the rest of the trip, which we greatly appreciated. The whole rest of the time we were in Spain we kept repeating things we learned from him! Don’t worry if you aren’t in great running shape, as there are plenty of stops.

A wonderful experience! Early start meant we got to avoid the crowds and have some beautiful light to see the sights. Highly recommend!

Running around Madrid with Ulrik was a great experience. Skipped the crowds on the early AM and saw most of the city’s highlights.

The fastest way to fall in love with Madrid

I began the first day of the new year with this running tour. My english wasn't cool so I understood about 30-40% of the time, but it was very fun. Early in the morning, we were able to occupy the spots that are usually crowded with people. Maybe it's the best tour to take a picture. Ullik's guide was really helpful and very informativ. We went for lunch at Ulrik's recommended restaurant. Atmosphere was good and the price was reasonable. Thank you, Ulrik!!

Awesome morning run in the centre of Madrid in great company!

I had an amazing time running around the magnificent city of Madrid with Ulrik, the sportive guide who knows so much about the city. Not only he knows the history, he also loves food and drinks and he shares his best adresses to go for lunch, dinner and drinks. I would highy recommend this tour to all people who are willing to bring their running shoes to Madrid and get up early :-). No better way to enjoy the sunrise in Madrid!

Go run in Madrid!

Highly recommended super fun way to orient yourself in Madrid, get some light exercise and learn many interesting things about the various neighbourhoods and famous sights from a Madrileño. Ulrik couldn’t be a friendlier guide and made 10k breeze by, pausing regularly at points of interest. Well worth the early start!

Great running companion highly recommended

We had a fantastic run in Madrid with Ulrik as our guide he was very informative, friendly and we would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in seeing Madrid. He shared his knowledge of the city freely even taking us to a wild strawberry tree in the botanical gardens. Definitely worth doing at the beginning of your stay as you get a really good overview of the city, taking in the main sites also , resturants and bars.

Great fun and great company

We had an excellent run around Madrid taking in several key sights. Ulrik took us to his favourite places and because it was an early start we had Madrid almost to ourselves. I highly recommend this great experience and a super run too.

Awesome introduction to central Madrid!

I had so much fun exploring Madrid with Ulrik! He was great company and very knowledgeable. Good mix of history and his own personal recommendations of bars and places to visit. He was also very considerate of my pace, which was much slower than his! Looking forward to trying the 10k tour :)

This was a great overview of the city and a great way to get your morning run in as well. Ulrik was a great and knowledgeable guide. He knew so much about all the buildings, sharing legends and offered great recommendations on places to eat and revisit. I am so glad I did this. Great morning tour!

I had a pleasure to do the 10k running tour of Madrid with Ulrik. It was a great experience. We went through the most famous parts of the centre of Madrid. Usually these spots are very crowded but because the run started early (7 am) we could take our time to see everything, without being rushed out by the crowd. I have lived in Madrid for 2 years and have seen most of these spots, but still managed to learn new things about the city thanks to (Ulriks deep historical knowledge) and saw the city in a different light. Moreover, it was a great way to start the day and get some exercise done! I felt energised for the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who is passing by Madrid and would like to combine exercise and exploration of culture . As well as, for people who live in Madrid and are looking for a new running experience!

Great Running and History Tour

Ulrik was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic running guide. He made the tour pass quickly (except for that one hill ;-) ) with all of the information he supplied about Madrid and Spain. He also gave me recommendations for tapas and flamenco shows, both were great as well. This tour is a great way to start your stay in Madrid.

Early morning guided 10k run

As a resident of Madrid for more than 2 years and an avid runner, this activity provided a change of my running routines. Ulrik had been very friendly and knowledgeable during the guided tour. It was interesting to still learn new historical details of the famous landmarks that I would walk by multiple times. I would highly recommend this for a traveller/runner as well as any resident of Madrid who wants to explore this beautiful city. YH

Running and History, my two favorite hobbies

Went on the running tour through Madrid this morning and was amazingly surprised how little I knew about the city I’ve been in for a year. Ulrich was amazing and packed a ton of history into our 10K run, as well as great restaurants to visit and exquisite bars to try out. Totally worth the money and your time.

An amazing running tour, showcasing the hidden history of central Madrid

This was a great way to get to know the central parts of Madrid while at the same time getting your daily work-out. Having lived in the city for about a month, I still found this tour very interesting - showcasing the layout of the inner city and good places to visit, while also offering the hidden history of the place. Additionally, the tour guide was very friendly and amicable - making the actual running fun and engaging and available at your own pace. I would recommend anyone who's interested to learn more about the city and get their morning off to the a good start to try this running tour!

Excellent tour of the city

I fancied a tour of the city with a difference, so I signed up to Ulrik´s tour on Friday morning. He was very accommodating and he agreed to change the meeting time to suit my other commitments that day. He´s lived in the city for a number of years and I was really impressed not only by his knowledge of restaurants and cafes in the city, but his unique knowledge of the history of the city. We had a number of interesting conversations as we both have lived in London and chatted about a range of things. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique tour and a chance to pick up some gleams of local knowledge!! Cathal

Madrid Tour With A Difference!

We recently returned from a long weekend in Madrid, it was our second visit so I wanted to see some new things. My wife and I decided to sign up to the 9k running tour and we are so glad we did! We opted to start early morning while the temperature was not too high. Our guide Ulrik, was very friendly and accommodating - we are both quite fit but by no means marathon runners, so we asked Ulrik to keep the pace easy which he was more than happy to do for us. Ulrik has a really good knowledge of Madrid having lived there for a number of years, he pointed out numerous landmarks and was full of interesting facts about them. Ulrik also had many recommendations for places to eat and drink and pointed these out as we passed them - these came in very useful for the rest of our stay! There were plenty of stops along the way so it actually didn't feel like we had run 9k at all by the end of it. A great experience all round!
