Full Day Tour to Avila & Segovia

We loved the tour! ...

We loved the tour! Seeing the walls and the aqueduct and the castle was such an experience. It is a lot of walking, but it was worth it. I wish we had more free time in Avila so that we could have gone up on top of the walls but we did not have the time. There is a more free time in Segovia - that is where we had lunch and it was very good.

Couples day trip to Segovia and Avila

Excellent tour!! I would highly recommend it !! So much history packed into one day. It hit the major historical sights you would want to see in these beautiful towns.

Great tour

Great tour. Sara was fantastic. Her knowledge of history was impressive with good anecdotes about the places we visited. She gave equal time to Spanish and English, tour was informative and fun, and the walking wasn’t too strenuous. She also allowed for free time to roam around on our own, which we really appreciated. Javier our driver was also very good and patient.

Very informative, Sara was amazing- knew tons of info, we enjoyed our full day tour. Certainly recommended. Bus was delayed in the morning and they added back the time for us which was great

Amazing day in Segovia.

Nice trip and well organized! Group was about 25 people and we have no issues with waiting. Bus was new, comfortable and clean. Guide Helena was very clear with her interpretation between Spanish and English. Segovia is amazing and this trip is a must visit for you in Madrid

Point to note. Be aware that you may be dropped at a different location to your starting point and not nearby.

We had a great day with Marta as our guide. The day was spoiled by the fact that we where dropped some distance from our pickup point and we had no idea where we were. It was a long walk home ! Be aware!

A must do visit to both Avila and Segovia

Our tour was excellent.. we visited Segovia and Avila. Alberto was the best guide and very funny!! Recommended!!

Beware if you don't understand Spanish

The rating is for the tour guides. NOT apply to the bus ride or the cities. First, I find the cities beautiful and would recommend anyone to visit. The bus ride was smooth and comfortable. My bigger disappointment is the tour guide(s). There was another guide, she was doing her first practice! If you are speak or understand Spanish, then you may find the guide(s) informative. This tour says Spanish/English but I would say 90% in Spanish and 10% in English. The guides said a lot in Spanish when introducing every point of interest that the tour includes but talked very little in English. For example, she said this is a very important church (in English). That's all! But in Spanish, much more detail description was given (I don't speak Spanish so I only judged by the length of what she was sharing.

Greatly Informative

it was a great visit. The history of the area dates back a long time. Both my wife and I enjoyed it greatly. Both Segovia and Avila are jewels of Spanish history

Beautiful places, spectacular scenarios. Panoramic views. Lot of time to visit. Clear explainations of what we were visiting and seeing.

A very pleasant day trip

Alberto was a blast, he was fun and informative at the same time!! My family doesn't speak English or Spanish, but they can understand Spanish a bit, if spoken slowly, and the pace he spoke was great, everyone was able to understand the explanations given.

Great tour of Segovia y Ávila

Antonio and Maria were great hosts. Knowledgeable, fun, pleasant, and patient for a group of over 40 people. Their Spanish and English were excellent.

The tour to Segovia & Avila was great. Our tour guide Jorge Marco was excellent and was very informative of the history. We recommend it and would do it again.

Excellent trip to Segovia and Àvila. George was amazing, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Nice mix of guided tour and free time to relax in Segovia over lunch. Coach was comfortable and not too packed. Highly recommend

Day trip to Segovia and Avila

Antonio is obviously very knowledgeable and amusing but not speaking Spanish meant that much of it was lost on us. His having to repeat everything again in English is obviously tiring and would possibly be better for him if he only dealt with one language at a time. Headsets may be an option

We were the only English speakers in the group and found the commentary difficult to follow the way it was presented. We enjoyed it very much, well organised with plenty of free time in each place.

El Guapo, Alberto, was a fantastic guide. Funny and interactive with the group. Presented in both Spanish and English. Gave recommendations and alternatives on your free time. Was very efficient with our time.

To the beautiful ancient cities

It was a good experience. The cities of Avila and Segovia are so beautiful. Our tour guide Marta was nice and funny, she didnt leave us even though we were 15 minutes late. Gracias Marta. More importantly the bus has great air conditioning system, we had a relaxing trip back to Madrid :)

Tour experience

The tour was really fun and adventurous. we went two different locations and learn about their culture.Our tour guide was named Jorge and he really did an amazing job explaining everything very clear in English and Spanish and he was super nice to me and everyone else highly recommend doing this tour especially with Jorge.

Everything was really good. Cities are beautiful specially Toledo. Sword workshop was not necessary amd could be avoided to give more time at Toledo. Guide Alfredo was amazing

Alberto is great guide! We met him at the Segovia+Avila tour. He was funny and very compétent, never boring, since he was able to involve people in his storytelling about the sites even by some funny performances. Jorge was a fantastic guide, sharing facts and about the culture in both Spanish and English. The whole trip was well organized and excellent- highly recommend! The bus was clean, well air conditioned and comfortable. The amount of time in Segovia and Ávila was perfect!

Highly Recommended!

Fantastic double tour. Segovia was amazing and you could spend days there. The aqueduct is jaw dropping and has to be seen to be believed - not a drop of mortar involved. The other main highlights are the 'Walt Disney' Castle and the Moorish architecture, but there are too many to mention. Avila is an amazing walled city in a stunning panoramic location with great mountain views Jorge is the perfect guide with impeccable English and a cheerful, friendly and never flustered guy.

Beautiful cities

Perfect weather, informative and friendly guide but the English was hard to understand at times. Lunch recommendation in Segovia was excellent.

Avila and Segovia Tour with Alberto

Our tour with The Yellow Tours in Segovia and Avila was worth it! The whole experience was very organized with a nice balance of adventures and guided tours. Typically, it starts with a guided walking tour then we have the rest of the time to ourselves. Alberto was our tour guide and he made it much more exciting! Our guided tour with Alberto was fun and informative. He knew so much about Segovia and Avila! He was also very helpful with taking pictures for us. Looking forward to coming back in Spain and touring with Alberto and The Yellow Tours in other locations in the near future!

Fun while learning

We had a wonderful time in Segovia and Avila! Our tour guide, Alberto, was simply the best. We had fun and we learned a lot about the history of both provinces. He was very engaging throughout the day and made all of us comfortable. The Yellow Tours was on time and we were given enough free time to roam around the cities by ourselves. I would definitely recommend going to a tour with them!
