Our tour guide was Nori, who made our tour most memorable and informative. We would highly recommend him. Day trip to Tagaytay Volcano, excellent experience.

Worst travel experience in my life.

Got left alone on island before a monsoon came in. Worst travel experience in my life. Came from Cebu and went to Bohol. Whoever was running, the trip should’ve looked at the weather forecast and prevented me from Island hopping for this trip.

For what I got the tour...

For what I got the tour was overpriced. Also not everything as described in the explanation was showed as some stuff was closed on Sundays.

Compact trip in a short time

The trip was very good, especially we were only 2 travelers with the driver and the guide. The guide was a friendly local providing many additional information on life in Philippines. The weather was very good, however the fog slightly decreased the quality of the view on the panorama. I also liked the timing of the trip, starting in the morning at 8 a.m. and being back to Manila early afternoon after 3 p.m.

Great experience. The guide was really knowledgeable, the driver was amazing. Really interesting and great option for one free day . Highly recommend.

Lovely tour guide and trip

They worked so hard to make sure we got a view of the volcano. We had rain and heavy cloud at first. We saw so many sites - the bamboo organ was really neat. The only thing that was a tiny bit of a let down was eating at Kenny Rogers. We were hoping for authentic Filipino food. Although the food was still good - they had air fried chicken.

Noce Getaway from the busy city of Manila

Thus tour allows you to get away from the busy streets of Manila with a relaxing view of Taal Volcano, Palace in the Sky as well as drive by city of Las Pinas in the outskirts of the city. Weather is cooler in Taal and the view is spectacular. You might also enjoy lunch or snacks at the Taal Vista Lodge.

Very happy with the tour. We visited all the places on our itinerary. The guide Omar gave us detailed & interesting information on all sites visited. At lunch, Omar helped us in choosing our dishes, including a purple ice cream made with yam. Delicious. Jeepney factory all hand made amazing. Bamboo organ beautiful music. Must Do when in Manila

We took this tour from the Filipino Travel website. Our driver cum tour guide, Mr. Mario arrived on time and took us to the Church and then the factory. At the Church, the Bamboo Organ organization gave us detailed cultural context and history of the . organ. At . the factory, Mr. Mario gave us a lot of context. On our way to the ridge, we stopped in one of the districts to have coffee . Our guide was expert and made sure we stopped at a good place. We then headed . to the ridge where the weather was awesome. Mr. Mario ensured we had a fabulous tour. He took care of . great details - right from arranging vegetarian food for us to booking a dedicated jeepney for tour. When the volcano was not . visible, he seemed to be more dissapointed than we were. He wanted to ensure we had a good experience. His expert opinions , conversations made sure we had a great day. Bring your camera

There is a lot of driving but the view are stunning. You have plenty of rest stops and the guide was very knowledgeable. You will learn so much about the Philippines.

Half-hearted guide made it a day worth forgetting

The other reviews contain the details - the palace in the sky is pretty run-down, the views of Tagaytay are from a distance and on our trip - obscured by rain. Lunch was fine, and the Jeepney factory - was sad... Really though - what sapped the energy from the tour was the guide. He had a very limited narration, consisting of few anecdotes per place and "now we are leaving city X and entering city Y" - once he'd done the bare minimum, he returned to chatting with the driver in tagalog. The tour guests felt like an afterthought

Convenient

It was a convenient way to see Taal Volcano from afar b/c there's no easy way to go there. I would have preferred to take the boat across and go hiking up the volcano and see it first hand but my husband didn't want to do the hike. But for almost $100 per person, the price is steep. For 3 of us, it would have been better to rent a car and drive there ourselves but again my husband didn't want to rent a car and drive in Manila so it was the only way to go. It is a nice view of Taal. Jeepney factory is interesting and the bamboo organ is interesting too. I just have to go back w/o my husband next time and do the hike... : )

A great visit to Taal Volcano and Palace in the Sky

Having a trip to Taal Volcano is really adventurous and nee to prepare all before finalizing it. We have a great visit to People’s Park in the Sky and Taal Volcano. A couple of minutes away from Picnic Grove is the People’s Park in the Sky,. it is a park located in the higher place which overlooks Tagaytay and then next we visit the Taal volcano. That’s by a tricycle ride in a very downhill road and we rode a boat for 20 minutes from Taal Lake Yacht Club to an island and make sure to be prepared of the scorching sun plus the very dusty path to take I really enjoy to the great visit in Tagaytay with my family. Hope I can visit this place again..

Quite expensive for what is...

<p>Quite expensive for what is included, this is actually called Panoramic Tagaytay by the organising company, and so is very sedate and a bit dull. Mostly just photo stops, and a scenic drive. My favourite part was the Jeepney factory and the Bamboo Organ, although I do admit that Tagaytay was beautiful, despite the wet day.</p>

Tagatay

Tagatay is a nice place south of Metro Manila - nice fresh air in the mountains and a bit cooler temperatures!

Nice View Indeed

30 pesos admission required, but place is very lack of maintenance, and I found that very disappointing. Structures were left pretty much unattended, could have been a very interesting and enjoyable place to visit. Only part I enjoy is the hilltop vie whre you can see 360 for miles around.

<p>This was a really cool trip and highly recommended. First stop was where Jeepney's are made from the ground up. Great history on the Jeepney's and how they are customized per owner. The Las Pinas Organ was amazing and it sounded fantastic. From there it was off to Tagatay where we had a traditional Filipino lunch and then checked out the Palace in the Sky - amazing views of Taal Volcano and the lake. We even got to ride in a Jeepney up to the Palace! But the unexpected surprise was a stop on the way home at a small store that sold Civat Cat Coffee - coffee beans collected from the poop of the cat after they eat the coffee berries! What an experience!</p>

<p>This was a good day out, although it involved a lot of time in the minibus due to heavy traffic. We were picked up from the hotel at 0910 and returned at 1720. The visit to the church with the Bamboo Organ was very interesting, with a local guide showing us around. Next there was a visit to a Jeepney factory with time to take photos, followed by a visit to the deserted Marcus home where we had a drink from a young coconut. We then had a ride in a Jeepney, followed by lunch on Tagatay Ridge, overlooking the lake and the volcano. Lunch was nothing special, but there was a wide choice available. On the way home we had a free sample of the renowned coffee, made from beans which have passed though the intestines of a civit cat. No-one on the tour was very impressed, but we were glad of the opportunity to try it! A well-informed guide and an interesting day.</p>

<p>I loved Tagaytay, I wish I had more time to spend in that area. I was on my own and there was no one else joining me on the trip so I was treated like a VIP. The guide and driver were very nice and helpful and the trip was exactly as advertised, the pick up and drop off were very smooth and on time. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it highly.</p>

<p>The tour by itself I would have probably rate a 4 - very much as described Fun sights, great views - well worth it. The trip was made amazing by our tour guide, Rolando. Rolando's knowledge far exceeded the paces we visited he shared so much about Filipino culture, other tours we should consider, some pitfalls we might run into while working here, some of which I had already run into. He was able to answer any question we threw at him. We were an extremely small group due to the Manny Pacquiao fight that day, but there was never a lull in the conversation. </p> <p>I wish I had done this tour earlier in my visit as I think it would have help with adjusting to living and working here.</p> <p>During my time here, I did do two tours booked on viator.com where Baron Travel was the local travel provider the other was the WWII Corregidor Island Tour, also well worth it and Baron Travel made it as easy as possible. I highly recommend this method, especially if you are not travel savvy, like myself - all you have to do is worry about being at your pick up location on time, the rest is taken care.</p>

There are so many fun things that you get to see on this trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone, hands down. Omar was our tour guide, and he is fantastic.</p>

<p>It was not a nice day so tour guide decided to skip the Palace in the sky. The highlight of the tour was the Lunch. The volcano was okay and so was the Pipe Organ but not worth an entire day of driving on the bus to see. The lunch was nice but once again not worth an entire of driving to obtain. <p>Had a nice trip outside the city to see a beautiful area. Luckily the haze lifted by lunch time, and it was a great view of the volcano and mountains. Appreciate the included lunch, and the fact they let you choose from several entrees. I was fortunate to have my guide from the Manila city tour. Omar, with me again. He is a fine gentleman, and a wealth of information about the area. The bamboo organ is so unique, and a national treasure for the philippines. Only negative is the traffic, but we had an experienced driver who got there and back safely.</p>

<p>OUr tour guides and drivers were excellent on this tour. I felt that we saw many great places with Richard. He gave us a mountain of information about Manila and the local areas we were exploring. I would think this tour is a must. The views from Palace in the Sky were amazing and when we stopped for lunch a group were singing in the resturant. The views to Taal Volcano and lake incredible. Then we moved on to San Ferdinand and interacted in the museum and church where the Las Pinas Bamboo organ are housed. A lovely lady played the organ for us which was very special. I loved this tour. We began at Raffles hotel which was an experience in itself. Our driver was so patient in horrific traffic and we enjoyed our drive as much as the tour. Thank you</p>

<p>Neil our tour guide was very informative and funny, he had us all laughing throughout the tour. There were 12 of us total, 5 filipinos, 1 from Israel, 3 from Si gapore, 2 from India and 1 from Ireland. We had such a diverse mix, we were all in Awww, on the drive to Palace in the sky. <p>The tour was awesome and lasted all day. The tour directors were very cool and bought us tiny bananas, coconut pie, and coconut milk in the morning. We road in a jeepney to the Palace in the Sky, which was awesome, and just in time to see the Taal volcano come out of the clouds. Lunch was great and the volunteer tour guide who talked about the pipe organ was so excited about it that it made all of us even more excited! All that being said, there is a 0 chance of this tour being worth 187 for one person. As fun as it was, definitely would not do it again at that crazy price.</p>

<p>Amazing views and great food. We didn't get to see the bamboo organ due to a festival going on the week of my visit but the guide, Omar added some additional spots to the tour to make up for that. We went to a bee farm and the original Jeepney factory. Omar, was a great tour guide.</p>

<p>This tour was more than expected. The drive to tagaytay was nice. We could not see 5 feet in front of us at the palace due to the fog. The view would have been breathtaking had it been clear. Our driver was able to find a good spot down below for us to take pictures of Taal volcano.</p>

<p>Too expensive for what is offered. I enjoyed the Taal lake and Las Pinas Bamboo Church. My problem was also that the guide had a more lacklustre approach to the tour and wanted everything to be over really quick, maybe because I was the only participant. I'm also uncomfortable with the situation that as soon as the driver and I were alone for a second, he immediately asked when I would leave Manila, what my flight was and if I needed airport drop off. When I said I already arranged it, he went on how much hotels charge for it etc.</p>

<p>The tour was pretty good, though nothing life changing. Service (vehicles, guides and food) were good and the attractions were okay. What I really hated was that if you book a trip for one person you pay twice the rate and yet they still put you with a bigger group. I don't think double the rate is justified and the trip is not worth it for that price. If your party has two or more people and you want a peaceful day where you just sit and look around at some moderately interesting things, go for it.</p>

<p>The highlight of this tour was the visit to the Taal volcano. I thought we were going to miss the view because of cloud, but luckily the weather cleared just in time and the view was amazing. I also really enjoyed the lunch at the restaurant with a great view. A bonus extra was the visit to the Jeepney factory. My guide was very helpful and considerate of my age and health.</p>

<p>The tour was not very well organised - firstly they went to the wrong Tune hotel - also the day we went there was a local marathon being run - which the tour guide should have been aware of as the traffic was horrendous and we could not get up to the 'Palace' on our first attempt. The place we had dinner - Max's Fried chicken was disappointing - the food was dreadful - chicken was dry and there was far too much BBQ sauce which was too sweet and the desserts were not very nice either. However, the view from the restaurant was magnificent.</p>

We felt safe in the Manila traffic and Neil's knowledge and commentary were first class. From the time of booking to the drop off back at our apartment was very professional and I would definitely recommend using Viator. Tagayday

Comme je ferais le voyage en solo....me suis dise ok je vais fraternisé avec les autre voyageurs et probablement faire de très belle rencontre. A mon grandc étonnement j'étais la seule pour le voyage. Lolll ok j'ai donc un chauffeur et un guide privé. La visite du volcan Taal et du palais. Journée nuageuse donc une vision très ordinaire du volcan malheureusement. Pour ce qui est du palais et bien un tas de ruine avec des tour cellulaire a profusion. Rester sur place environ 1 hrs. Ensuite un repas ds un resto locale. 11 hrs je n'est pas fain par contre c'est maintenant selon le guide. Repas très ordinaire sans plus. Ensuite visite de l'usine de jeepnay. Les jeepnay neuf son magnifique par contre il n'y en a que 2 3 le reste c'est un gros garage de réparation de jeepnay. Direction Bamboo organ Une église splendide avec cette orgue oufff mon coup coeur de la journée. Visite guidée d'environ 15 minutes quelque photo et malheureusement pas pue aller priés a l'église car il l'ont fermé letemps de ma visite guidé! Grande déception. Mon guide semble presée😑. Dernière arrêt a ma demande a plantation de café. Ou semble encore me pressé.... je ne suis donc installé confortablement a une table et commandé un bon café avant d'en acheté ! Il y a toujours bien des limites. Retour a mon hotel un peux déçu de ma journée mais qui fût tout de même ok.

Très beau!

La vue de la crête est splendide et on y trouve quelques bons et beaux restaurants. Auparavant, il faut franchir, en banka, le lac du grand volcan et grimper le flanc du petit volcan pour voir son cratère inondé d’eau verte aux relents sulfureux. L’appétit au restaurant de Tagaytay n’en sera qu’amélioré!
