Great tour!

Had a great morning with Andrei walking (and riding) around the walled city in Manilla. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and was a welcome addition to our holiday itinterary.

So happy we picked this walking tour. Our tour guide Andre was very knowledgeable, and personable. He explained the layered history with a helpful visual aid booklet. The horse drawn carriage was a relaxing and novel way to see the area as a whole. Lots of great opportunities to take photos. Highly recommended.

A great 3 hours for a stop over in Manila

The guide was fantastic and very informative, had a lovely 3 hours walking around and the horse and carriage ride was enjoyable.

If you have a few hours to spare, book this tour!

Andrei was such an amazing guide, filled with much knowledge and I asked a lot of questions. It was also very interesting to find out about the Filipino national hero, José Rizal, who had a very interesting life before he was sadly publicly executed by a firing squad. If you love history, this is a great tour to book. If you don’t love history, this is still a great tour to book. A horse carriage ride is included and the driver shared interesting facts about the buildings/sites we passed. Plus you get to try a traditional Filipino ice cream which has cheese, avocado and mango – an interesting mix, but it wasn’t so bad.

What a great tour and amazing way to see Intramuros! I had thought about just wandering around the area on my own but I'm very glad that I didn't. Andre (our guide) was a wealth of knowledge. But even beyond that, rather than just reciting facts, he was a great storyteller. Also, because our group size was so small (just 7 of us) it was interactive and engaging. Honestly, I could keep going but the bottom line is, this tour was worth every peso and then some.

The overall experience was great. The tour started on time. It was curated well, including the songs played while we move from one location to another added different vibes. The storytelling was really informative. The tram ride gave extra feels to the tour around Intramuros. My children really had fun and the adults learned a lot of new things about Intramuros. Informative & Professional

This is a perfect tour to gain an understanding of the history of Manila and The Philippines. Fantastic tour guide, great music, stories, a kalesa trip around the walled city, and visits to Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, St Augustins Church and the Museum are all included. Highly recommend!

We joined the walking tour of intramuros and we loved it! I learned things that I didn’t even know growing up Filipino. It was my husband’s first time seeing Intramuros and he learned the history of how Manila came to be. It was so informative, easy to take in and Ann our tour guide gave us a lot information. Even information that I think are not in text books. Our tour included a Kalesa ride along the walled city. Even a cone of sorbetes! It’s 3 hours long but easy walk. And the Kalesa ride was around 30 mins long. We enjoyed it and high recommend

Worth visiting !!

We were 13 of us and we took a guide at the entrance. The lawn was beautiful. The ruins of old manila was worth seeing. Our guide explained to us how people used to live in a walled city centuries ago. it was a historical walking tour Worth seeing...

Highly recommend this tour!

We picked this tour out of all the Manila tours and it did not disappoint. Andre was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Great tour and very educational. Being a US born Filipino, I still learned things I didn’t know as it makes more sense when you actually see the sites on this tour. My wife and 2 daughters (first time in the Philippines) also really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it!

Me and my partner attended the tour and we were both delighted with it. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly throughout, answering all our questions and providing a lot of interesting information on the history of Manila and the Philippines. We felt like we were given a great insight into the history of intramuros and saw much of the walled area thanks to the transport provided. Their passion for Manila is evident and this tour is one of the reasons we were happy to visit Manila, like they say 'don't skip Manila'. Very much recommend this tour.

We had Andre as our tour guide. He was eloquent, humorous, patient and knowledgeable! Yes, we are glad we did not skip Manila and the Intramuros tour. My knowledge of Philippine history has been refreshed. My kids and their loved ones, having been born and raised in the US were appreciative if the historical information this tour allowed. Again, kudos to Andre who made it even more fascinating.

Great Experience with both educative info and fun!

I didn't expect to learn so much about the history of Philippines from this walking tour. Jose was such a great guide who's knowledgeable and responsible, and he definitely exceled his role as a guide also on raising awarenes/ memories of the WWII when explaining what's behind the scenes of the "touristic sightseeing" places. Jose told us things and showed us histories in a very interactive way, and I really appreciate his efforts and kindness! It's definitely worth the time (and heat) taking the tour, don't skip it!

I was a little late, but my guide was communicating with me the entire time to make sure I joined the group. Once I did, I learned so much about the history of old Manila and José Rizal. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the history of the Philippines.

Amazing experience! 100% worth it. I was able to indulge myself in the history of Manila with a great host and group. I learned so much and loved the walking experience! Bring water, an umbrella, and wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

Learned so much on this tour. Our guide (Anne) was super friendly and knowledgeable. It's a beautiful but sad place and having someone to explain all the background made our experience more meaningful with the context.

Wonderful tour with Anne

We had a great few hours touring intramuros with Anne! She was an excellent guide - clearly incredibly passionate about her country and that enthusiasm was infectious for a tourist - we learnt a lot about the history of the Philippines - Anne was also very frank and informative when discussing current politics and demographics of the country. She adapted to the rainy weather and went over and above to ensure we had a good time - including waiting around to ensure we got grabs! A truly wonderful experience - couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough.

Stimulating and Fun

Anne really went the extra mile to ensure that we enjoyed and made the most of our rainy afternoon visiting the sights of Intramuros. Her lively and enthusiastic commentary really brought the excitement and turmoil of the last 500 years to life. This tour of Intramuros was so interesting that the following day I visited the Ayala Museum in Makati, which I would strongly recommend to anyone keen to deepen their knowledge of the history of the Philippines and the Filipino national identity.

Interesting, Informative and most of all Helpful

We learned a lot of Philippine history in this four hour tour. Mostly it was a walking tour, but included a short horse cart ride around the circumference of the walls. In addition to visits to the Jose Rizal Museum and the Cathedral, we also visited an ice cream truck. This was a most welcome respite on a hot day. Our guide was most helpful and even helped us arrange a taxi ride back to the hotel.

An Excellent tour of the Past

The overall tour was superb. I've learned a lot again about the Manila history. The ruins were nostalgic, you can also feel the grief upon entering the dungeon. It was thrilling riding a Kalesa and calming eating an icecream in front of the Manila Cathedral. I want to visit Manila again with the Don'tSkipManila tourguides because they made the walktour memorable, fun and exciting. I really love the cool background songs they played while we're in our walktour.

Magnificent Excursion! We must Don't Skip Manila!

Our tour to the Intramuros, Manila on May 20 of this year was everything as it should be: exciting, beautiful, relaxing, informative, a fun social experience, and very well organized. The itinerary was carefully thought through and well balanced. The two tour leaders who were also college professors enthralled us with the history of the Intramuros. Everything worked like clockwork. However, it was the genius of the itinerary, coupled with our two passionate professionals, Ma'am Anne and Sir Andrei, that put this tour into the A-plus category. As a first-timer inside the Intramuros, DSM makes it memorable, unforgettable, pleasing, and fun. I enjoyed and loved the Kalesa ride and ice cream! I learned the new untold history that I'd never heard at school. All in all, I highly recommend Don't Skip Manila to everyone, especially to those who want to know more about Filipino history, and tourism students.
