Ahmed shawky Ali, thank you so much for this wonderful experience , this is my first time I travel with a guide and it has been the best part of the trip, having someone to explain in details the history behind everything, and also preventing you from getting scammed by giving us advise on what to do and what NOT to do , something I really liked , is that he always gave us free time to go on our own after each explanation at the temples, which is great.

Cruise between Aswan and Luxor doesn’t include a flight to Abu Simbel

Good boat, food, and staff. No complaints at all. Some very early starts but the tour was packed with great places to visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable but his English was average which meant we didn’t understand or learn as much as we would have liked. He was also on a tight time schedule which meant we felt very rushed around some places we had waited a lifetime to visit. We were in awe of some of the structures and paintings and would have liked more time to enjoy them. Great to have the transfers arranged to and from the cruise - this was a massive help. Would we do it again? Yes to the cruise - but I’d want to take more time to visit the magnificent sites. It’s pot luck whether you get a guide who masters the English language and diction and sadly this can make a massive difference to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

All Sights in One Tour!

Ahmed was our tour guide, and he did a great job of making the experience as hospitable as possible. Communicated everything we were going to be doing clearly. Made sure accommodations and everyone was always accounted for in a large size group of 22 people. Had a great background in history which was helpful in understanding the sites we were visiting. Appreciate him taking care of all our needs in our home away from home.

Ahmed shawky Ali is a great guide, he explains very well, he is very polite and patience. definitky the best of our tour. the ship is good but it is very old . be sure to have a cabin in the other side if the motor for the noise. We are a gay couple and we felt included, resoected and safe. Great experience! I recommended do it.

Very Professional and Very Fun

My family booked this trip and it was very enjoyable. Ahmed Shawky Ali was our tour guide and he was always available to answer any of our questions and help us with anything we needed. He was very personable and informative and guided us throughout all the sites. We really appreciated his effort. If you get a chance this is a tour that is worth it. You’ll see many fantastic sights.

We visited a lot of temples and the views were stunning. I recommend the trip if you would like a cultural tour, and some chill time on Nile river. Our guide Muhammad has been really helpful!

A really nice trip through numerous sites

The trip was really nice. Wake up calls were really early and there were bit of delays but overall a very nice trip. Mohammed Gobran, our guide, explains things very nicely with enough details which made us appreciate the numerous sites we've visited even more.

4D3N visiting the Nile

The cruise is the popular and convenient way of getting around the Luxor and Aswan areas. Schedule was a little hectic but allowed us to cover all the main attractions along the route. Overall it was a satisfying experience.

Aswan-Luxor RUN :)

Very good experience as first timer in Egypt and Nilo cruise, very fast pace and very early tours 4am and 5am everyday, good food and drinks selections onboard not included but fair price, Mohamed Gobra has a lot of knowledge and is great answering all your questions. I was trying to combined relaxation with tours but this particular package is very fast pace and no time to relax, if you want to get the most of Aswan-Luxor area this is your best choice. Cruise a little outdated but has great service. I suggest to take the plane to Abu Simbel, we spent almost a full day driving round trip and it was a little too much. Last day we checked out at 5am and didn't have time nor room to take a shower before going to the airport so plan ahead for that. Overall great experience :).

Fantastic experience & awesome Tour guide!

A big thank you to our tour guide Ahmed Shawky Ali, an excellent Egyptologist and warm hearted person. He spoke with contagious passion and profound knowledge and gladly answered all our questions. For e.g. from the ancient & modern Egypt, negotiation, and much more. Ahmed showed us many beautiful sights and astonishing temples. He was always friendly and eager to organise and help before, during and after the cruise. We were lucky to be on the "Ms Royal la Terasse". It seems that the Moody Tours, fill up the boats and you are given remaining places of the cruise. Our room was a double bed room. The staff was happy to modify the room to a matrimonial bedroom on request. The food was nicely prepared and most of it tasted good. The Cruise stuff was lovely & helpful. Be aware that the ship & the drivers requires an additional tip of about 19 USD per person and the tickets cost around 85 USD per person, to avoid standing in line you can buy them from your guide. Mineral water on the ship was 35-40EGP & don’t forget to tipp the guide at the end! Especially when he does such an outstanding job! About the tour: You will visit the sights mentioned from the itinerary. On 2 out of 4 days you will leave around 4am to go to Abu Simbel & once for the balloon flight. But it was more than worth getting up early. The breakfast is taken along as a packet. In general, the days are very tightly packed with programmes. But this was also the decisive point for us to see as much as possible in a short time. As well as the comfort of being taken from one place to another without any hassle. The Temples were so beautiful & impressive. But other ships are doing mostly the same programme so the sights are often full. In summary, the experience was fantastic! It was definitely the right decision and gives you an overview of the history and the most impressive temples. It is so soothing to be on the Nile, drinking on the sun deck, bathing, reading or just enjoying the view. The Nile is bigger than you imagine it to be. We would definitely recommend this tour. In our opinion, it is the most effective and stress-free way to see all these archaeological sites and learn about the history of ancient and modern Egypt.

Fast paced trip with so much to see!

We took the cruise from Aswan to Luxor and our tour guide (Ahmed shawky Ali) made the experience unforgettable. If you have the choice go with him, he is educated, funny and kind. He will teach you how to read hydogliphics and make sure you get fair prices for anything you want to buy. Make sure you soak up all his knowledge as he will explain Egyptian history for a new learner or as in depth for those history buffs. 10/10 recommended him as your guide.

Good cruise sailing. Many food options. Excellent Egyptologist/ Tour guide!!

The cruise was good, but I think this is because we got assigned a cruise with a nicer restaurant (lower level) and Lounge bar (upper level). Pool was okay, no shelter from the scorching sub. Food was good, enough options for red meat, chicken, fish eaters, but also vegetarian dishes at every meal. Breakfast was splendid with an omelette bar and they have a nice Nescafe coffee machine that made everything from espresso, Macchiato, cappuccino, Americano, etc. No gym (but I'm okay with that since I'm on vacation anyways) Our assigned tour guide, Ahmed shawky Ali happens to be an official Egyptologist which made our site visits much more informative and enjoyable. Ahmed explained things thoroughly without rambling on and answered any questions we had. He allowed enough time to take pictures, selfies, portrait shots, and maybe even a visit to gift/ souvenir shops (assuming you don't take hundreds of photos at each site) He spoke clearly and always checked to ensure nobody left behind. Only two things could be better: 1. Breakfast box was boring and bland (2 small bananas is perfect, but the cheese slice or Spam mini sandwiches tasted stale) 2. La Terresse was our cruise ship and the staff were friendly and accomodating, but I was disappointed they deactivated my room card even though I planned to check out at 6:00am Overall good cruise experience and would go again!

Intense and pleasant journey along the Nile

Despite the fully packed program with little amount of sleep we could appreciate the beauty of higher Egypt. With Talaat Abdo a tour tour guide you are ensured of a very well prepared and knowledgeable man. He is able to lead a group of over 30 individuals and entertain them with his sense of humor. At the sites we felt like we had enough time to explore without the feeling to be rushed. However, I would personally have liked more space for question and discussions about the archaeological beauty we have seen

Excellent trip. Ahmed shawky Ali our guide was extremely punctual so it was easy to understand. He also took us to all the main parts and made sure everyone was able to see all the highlights of each area. He also gave good advice about prices and tips on how to handle the locals. He was very honest and made life a lot easier. Any other guide it wouldn’t have been the same because he explained each area on the importance. Ahmed always made sure you were having a good time and if not, he would genuinely look into the issues himself. My favorite part is that he took us to places quickly so that we didn’t have to stand in the hot sun for too long but gave us plenty of time to take pictures, walk around and explore or shop if we needed. He also was close to the group off hours in case we needed anything. He also took the time to personally go into a market with us after his shift hours. If you do this tour, specifically ask for Ahmed shawky Ali. #1 guide in all of Egypt. My trip would never have been as awesome without him

Intense but unforgettable experience across the Nile

Overall, this trip was a great experience. Despite the fully packed program with little amount of sleep, visiting the major sites within Egypt was exhilarating. With Talaat Abdo a tour tour guide you are ensured of a very well prepared and knowledgeable man. He is able to lead a group of over 30 individuals and entertain them with his amiable and humorous character. At the sites we felt like we had enough time to explore without great haste. What could perhaps be improved is the the option to ask questions at the end of each explanation and to stimulate discussion.

Floating Oasis

The boat, food and guide were all quite good. The tours on the other hand were way too short. We never got the chance to explore the entire temple and our group was always smashed into the temples at the same time with every other group. It felt a bit like Noah’s Ark if the ark was the size of a Volkswagen bus. Also because of the over crowding the noise level made it next to impossible to hear or understand the tour guide. Be prepared to ignore vendors and begging children. If you don’t ignore the first one you will be inundated by hurricane of desperate venders selling discount garbage. Bring bug repellent, Benadryl and insect bite ointment. Nothing ruins a trip faster than itchy festering bumps all over your legs. Wear shoes not sandals. Due to the over population of feral dogs and cats and the horse drawn carriages you will be playing hopscotch with poop du jour every other block. Getting back to the boat every day was like a nice clean cool oasis where you can just relax and refuel for the next day of vendor and poop dodging. I know this might sound horrible on the surface but I loved almost every moment and would do it again. Just be mentally prepared. THIS IS NOT AMERICA! Don’t expect it to be.

An experience

My partner and I would like to thank our wounderful, talented and very knowledgable tour guide Mr Mohamed Gorbran. Not only was he a very respectful man, but he went above and beyond to help us. Not only did he work around everyone on the cruise, but really brought us together like a family. By far the best tour guide I've seen. He loves what he's doing and for that I thank him deeply for being such a wounderdul host. with regards to the schedule I would like to say We felt very rushed, we completely understand our tour guide had a schedule to stick to for the cruise trip itself but disappointed we didn't get enough time to explore certain temples. Our Cruise was pushed back a day, however Viator didn't update there website and still said Tuesday as well as sending a count day to the Tuesday even though it had been changed to Wednsday, this made us arrive in Aswan a day early so we had to pay for an expensive hotel for the night, so improvements on the website would be very beneficial for future custome. The lunch boxes we got given on our day trips where not the best, Considering all the food served on the cruise was amazing. The staff on the ship are great and made every effort to make us feel at home. Unfortunately are hot air ballon was cancelled but our tour guide went out of his way to arrange it for the next day however the weather was not on our side. Over all we had a great time and felt welcomed by all staff on the ship, we just think the cruise should be spread over another day so we could fully enjoy everything that these beautiful temples have to offer. And that really is our only issue Once again we would like to thank Mohamed and all the staff aboard the ship for such an awesome experience

Awesome Cruise

A very wonderful experience with the tour. The itinerary was well planned and we were able to visit all the temples and places on the itinerary on a timely manner. Mohamed Gobran, our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable ! He arranged all the transport and transfers without any problems. The cruise ship was wonderful and the food was surprisingly very good, which is a first for us because we typically do not like the food offerings on the major cruise lines. We visited all the temples in would definitely recommend this cruise and Mohammed as a tour guide.

Best Part of Our Trip

We spent 10 days in Egypt and this was by far the best part of our trip! Our guide Mohamed was so knowledgeable and kept us interested in hearing the history behind everything. He also made it so easy for us by taking care of tipping the drivers and getting our tickets at each site. There were 21 people on the tour and he really got to know all of us. My teanage son was even excited and engaged. I would highly recommend booking this tour. Ask for him to be the guide. You won't be disappointed!

Had a great time and memorable experience

Mohammed is a very knowledgeable person and an excellent guide . The trip was wonderful with a lot of learning and new experiences. The way he explained the historical facts with a comic sences is superb. Also the cruise was very good and very nice service by all staff. Boat ride to philae was great. Though it was a long drive but worth a trip to Abu simbal. Riding in the Tonga to EDFU was good. Overall an unforgettable memories and moments to experience. Tips: 1.Kids below 6 not allowed for hot air ballon. 2.pls keep some cash to hand in the tips for all staff in cruise if u want to give it in person .

Amazing and fantastic tour!!

The tour programme is very inclusive and it has all the main attractions and temples to see. But the best thing of our tour was Mohamed who was really helpful, very informative and he explained everything in a very understandable way!!! Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to discover Aswan, Luxor and their temples!

Amazing cruise

The trip was amazing, fun, and overall was just a great trip. The tour guides are amazing and helpful, the activities are worth waking up early to get to, the cruise is luxurious, and the food was amazing. All of the staff were very nice and you'll meet some great people on the tour. The worst thing about the cruise I can think of was the planning and timing of the different tours because most of the time you'll arrive at a temple but there would already be tons of other people there, but even then you still get great and detailed explanations and pictures of how the ancient Egyptians lived and built these massive temples, what the art all meant, how the architecture was used, and much more. Overall, it was a great cruise with really nice rooms, food, you'll get beautiful pictures, and I really recommend it.

Great Tour

Great Tour! We were a bit hesitant to do a cruise, but this one was worth it! We did everything on the programme, many temples, hot air balloon, Luxor etc. The organisation was really good and Mahmoud was a great guide who explained a lot and was extremely nice. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see as much as possible in a short amount of time without the hassle.

As much as possible in a very short time!

We had a very good experience with this tour. Our room on the boat was good, clean and quiet and Mahmoud a knowledgeable guide even though we would have wished a flyer or handout in the beginning giving us an overview about historical timeline, gods and pharaos. Otherwise a good way to get to see as much as possible in such a short time even though this means waking up 4-5 every morning. The hot air ballon ride was definetly our highlight :)

Best tour with mody

This tour is super flexible and everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. Some of the days are very long if you do the optional tours. You get to see a lot of the best sights in Egypt. Ahmed also arranged a camel ride for us in Giza, the trip to Abu Simbel and a balloon ride in Luxor, which really made the tour special. Tour guide Mahmoud were excellent. For those who want to see Egypt with a personal guide and really feel a part of the country, this is a great choice. If you need luxury lodging or have mobility challenges, this is a bit too basic.

Definitely recommend

I went to Egypt with my two daughters and my daughter’s best friend. Bishoy, our tour guide found out that we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and made sure there was a celebration and cake. He made sure we were well taken care of. He was very educated and made sure we understood the history of every site that we saw.

Must do it at least once

I had a great time on this trip! The guide Mahmoud was amazing. He was very knowledge and knew the answers to any questions you could think of. If received this trip for couples, groups, or if you are very into Egyptian history. The only complaint i have, which really want the company’s fault, were a group a very young people, fresh out of highschool. You would have thought they booked their own private tour the way they hijacked the trip. They kept making issues and pulling the guide away from the itinerary. It was annoying but i feel worse for him. He seemed like a babysitter and they were very ungrateful. Anyways.. i hope you have the please of having Mahmoud. He’s an Egyptologist by the way. The boat was so so. The food was pretty good. This trip is all about the early morning and historical sites. It’s jam packed with things to see and learn. Cheers
