Amazing experience - must do in Switzerland

Amazing experience paragliding with my pilot Miki. The flight was easily organised with Sam and co-ordinated the pickup without issues. The flight itself was great - Miki made me feel safe and comfortable and even let me steer for a bit. Definitely recommend this experience

Eagle’s View of the Alps

What a great experience! Flying (yes, “like a bird”) over the Alps & Lake Lucerne….My friend and I had a marvelous time! Our pilots, Marcel (owner of the business) and Olie were simultaneously professional—and yet, so much fun! During my flight, Olie sang a few Swiss Lieder in his great baritone—whereas, Marcel could be a professional photographer, his photographs of the flight were that good. The views were breathtaking, and our pilots so obliging, we couldn’t recommend Tandemflight Lucerne enough!

Great experience!

Both Freemind tour operators read our daughters perfectly - understanding that each had different needs. One daughter preferred to float and was offered the opportunity to direct the ride, and the other wanted to do tricks. It was great!

Beautiful views, great guides and a fun time!

My wife and son (11 years old) both did tandem flights this morning and had a great time. First off, communication was very strong from the moment we initiated a conversation to book and directions were easy to meet our guides. Our guides were personable, knowledgeable of flying and took both my wife and son on flights which they really enjoyed. They got beautiful views on a clear day and were in the air for about 40 minutes! I highly recommend this excursion in this location with this group who was professional, fun and friendly!

One of a kind experience

Chris, my paragliding expert made me feel comfortable and safe when it came to paragliding. He was super fun and an experienced paraglider, making me that much more comfortable running off the mountain.

Go for it despite being afraid!

I was TERRIFIED to do this. I’m so scared of heights but I had always heard amazing things about paragliding so I decided to do it despite my fear. The worst part was the anticipation leading up to it but as soon as you took off it was the most incredible thing I’ve ever done. It was so peaceful flying through the sky and the views were incredible!! The guides were all amazing and it was definitely the highlight of our Switzerland trip. I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be doing it again next time I’m in Switzerland!!

Quck review: 10/10 would recommend to everyone! Do it! You won't regret it! Feel safe from start to finish with amazing views!!! Extended review: So, it's mid-January and I decide to book the panoramic flight - which isn't the best idea because of conditions and the cold, even Yrs (I hope I wrote that correctly l) says so. but hey, don't ask, don't get. So I booked (online through their website) which was so easy! I paid online too, but you can pay them in cash if you prefer. It was really easy to catch the free shuttle bus to the pick up location (Brunni) where we took the Cable car to the top, as well as the ski lift. The views were breath taking, the sun was out and the sky was clear. The wind was ready!! Neither of us could believe it! Next thing I know, we are running as fast as we can (towards what looks like a cliff edge but is actually just a steep hill, and then we are flying! Now this is where it gets hard to put into words the experience, so I'll just leave it at this: Paragliding is now hands down my favourite activity, not only do you get to fly like a bird and experience amazing views, you get a feeling of being carefree! However, doing paragliding with Freeminds will have you feeling safe, secure and carefree from start to finish. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to have an amazing experience! Thank you so much Yrs for an amazing flight! I'll definitely be back!

Amazing Paragliding Adventure

We had the most amazing time paragliding in Engelberg! Guides were incredibly flexible suggesting a change in flight days due to weather and visibility. Guide were fun, and very well coordinated - amazing experience. Would recommend to anyone.

BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE

Paragliding is one of my bucket list, but unfortunately we only have limited time at Switzerland, thanks God we find Freeminds Paragliding who wiling to take us fly at 5 PM, they waited for us, after our schedule done and take us to the most beautiful place to do paragliding! We can see both beautiful summer mountain (all green) and wonderful snowy titlis mountain (all white), like a dream (PERFECT SPOT)! They even pick us up at the best place for us, thank you for wonderful experience! You guys are the best paragliding expert! They make our paragliding experience unforgettable, nothing to worry because we feel extremely safe with them, they explained everything so we understand, makes us confident and take us fly! They even give awesome photos and videos 🙌🏼 I recommend this tour for all of you, paragliding is a must even just once in your lifetime!!

Exhilarating

I'm not a thrill seeker but wanted to try something new. These guys are very experienced and help ease your nerves with some jokes. I never once felt like I was in danger and had a great experience. I highly recommend these guys, even if you're scared.

Out of this world experience!

My wife and I went on this paragliding experience while in Switzerland for our honeymoon and it was incredible and so worth it! She was pretty anxious at first but once she got up the mountain and jumped off she had the time of her life and so did I. Highly recommend, thank you so much Urs and Marcell for making this such an awesome memory, these guys are great!

Urs is one of the best pilots I know, and I know a lot after 10 years of flying in Switzerland. He offers a tailored experience for each passenger and list to maximise the time an excitement in the air. You simply can't do better than to fly with Urs.

Experience of a Lifetime

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! My kids (14 & 11) and I flew with Urs and 2 of his fellow pilots on July 22. All 3 were super friendly and very experienced. The flights were exhilarating, the scenery was stunning and we all agreed this will be the highlight of our 12 day trip to Europe. We stayed in Lucerne and debated between paragliding in Engelberg and Interlaken and I'm so glad we chose to fly with Urs in Engelberg. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience

My girlfriend and I each took a flight with Urs and had an incredible experience. Urs is very knowledgeable and a great pilot. His briefing made us feel safe and at ease. The flight was excellent fun - we searched for thermals, made some fly-bys of our friends and I got to take the controls for a bit too. All the while, Urs captured some amazing photos and videos on his Go Pro with his 2m long selfie-stick! Great fun - 10/10 would recommend.

The best way to experience the skies and Switzerland!

A MUST DO, and the best way to experience Switzerland!! Urs and the other pilots were exceptional. They were kind, well-prepared, knowledgeable, and very considerate of our comfort at all times. Most of all, they strove to give us a unique experience. After asking if I liked roller coasters, Urs flew a couple stunts for me and even let me take the reins momentarily! I did the panorama flight and was glad to have the extra air time (however if you are prone to nausea, the 10-30 min flight may be enough for you).

Had my first paragliding experience with Freeminds. My guide was Urs and he was awesome. We were quite lucky as the weather was good to fly in. My husband had doubts before but he was over the moon after trying this and would definitely do it again. Highly recommended to those travelling to Lucerne.

Wonderful first experience!

Booked the early bird flight with Freeminds 2 days before our flight. Fuss free and easy, instructions were very clear. Reached Granefort station at 8.38am ( from Lucerne) and was picked up by Urs at the station. Urs was very friendly and personal, and even proposed a better site for longer flight if we are not rushing for the day. Paid an additional CHF30 for the flight videos and photos and worth every penny! If this is your first time paragliding in Lucerne, I would strongly recommend Freeminds and Urs! Wonderful and stunning experience.

Awesome flight in the best location

For tourists and not tourists: great experience, a must do! Of course with Freeminds :) Uncomplicated booking and a very friendly and confident feeling from Urs (chief pilot) so all fears disappear before taking off. I did the "Experience" Tandemflight, ideal for a first timer. Muchas gracias!

Amazing fly

Me and my 10 years old daughter both did Panorama with Urs and Gabor, and both had amazing fly. The weather was excellent, the fly was enjoyable and the view was spectacular! All we needed to do were sit back, smile and enjoy as they promised. There were lots of great photos taken, and we got them straight away after landing. I will recommend Urs and his team to everyone. You won’t regret!

The best experience I could imagine

I was hesitant about shelling out so much money for a relatively short experience, but am so glad that I finally decided to do it. I was able to book an 8.30 meetup at 23.00 the night before, thank you to Urs for being so flexible! He was very friendly and a pleasure to talk and fly with, thank you so much for the great experience!

Amazing flight with Urs

It was my most exciting day in Switzerland. Urs was my pilot and he was very kind and supporting me. At the first time, I made a mistake about taking off by running but he was very helpful to teach me again. Moreover , because the weather is very good for flying, he surprised me by doing roller coaster in the air for twice hahaha ... such a fantastic experience here above Brunni , engelberg . Finally, I got a lot of nice pics and video after the flight quickly. I highly recommended this activity in Switzerland.

Excellent experience

It was a short notice booking but they accommodated us next day. We were a family of 4 (kids ages 13 & 9) - none had done paragliding previously, so bit of nervousness was natural. But the tandem jump pilots made us all comfortable. They were patient with us prior to the jump and once we took off, it was an amazing experience. The weather was perfect - sunny with some clouds. It was a great ride through the clouds and then catching thermal winds that allowed us to soar even higher than the mountains. Kids really loved it. Great crew, beautiful setting...highly recommend them.

I had a great experience flying with Urs. We met at the cable car at Engleberg Brunni and had a very nice conversation going up. Urs was good at explaining to the passenger (me) what to do and we set off near the small lake. At no point was I concerned, Urs made me feel very comfortable, explained the areas we were flying above. Had a great time. My friend and I did the panoramic flight with Urs and his colleague. They were both friendly, informative, fun, and made us feel at ease both before and during the flight. We had amazing air time and saw great views of Engelberg. This is an unforgettable experience that absolutely cannot be matched. I would highly recommend it! In 1 word..WOW

I did the panoramaflight with Urs and I must say that it was definitely overwhelming. We went paragliding to Brunni, Titlis, Engelberg, Luzernsee etc etc...It is the best experience to see Switzerland from another perspective. And it is amazing to see how someone like Urs enjoys what he does. In the air he could tell me so much about the surrounding area. I can also recommend to let Urs take photos and videos. We took like 150 photos and they were all awesome. Overall, dont think about, just do it. You won't regret!

My wildest dream!

Urs and Julio flew Trevor and I on our first tandem paraglide, it was fantastic and beyond my wildest dreams. We were in the safest of hands, with Urs and Julio you're with pilots with a passion for flying off the mountain and soaring like a bird! What a thrill, what fun and we both had a wonderful soft, controlled landing. Thank you both for making my wildest dream come true. The. Best. Day. Ever.

Before coming to Engelberg I had never been paragliding. I knew it was something I wanted to do in the Alps so before we traveled I looked up freeminds online and watched some videos. Well, holy crap, sign me up! Urs met me and my husband at the Brunni Station in Engelberg and up we went. With my hubby filming, Urs and I freaking jumped off a mountain, man!! Urs was awesome and the whole experience of floating in front of the Hahnen, like birds, was the best thing I've ever done in my life! Unbelievable, amazing experience. Bucket list item complete!!!

We were in Engelberg for a couple of days and my 14 yo daughter wanted to go paragliding. I had always wanted to go so what better place to go than in the Alps! I talked to our hotel desk and they called Urs from Freeminds. Even though it was 2pm in the afternoon he was able find time for myself and my two girls (14 and 11yo). Urs and Julio were our guides and were very accomodating. We met them at one of the gondolas and rode to the top where we hiked up a small hill. Julio took my 14yo first. You should have heard her screams of delight as they took flight! Later it was my turn along with my 11yo. Urs took me and Julio took my 11yo. We were both in the air at the same time so I could see her flying which was cool. Sometimes below us and sometimes above us. We all stayed in the air about an hour each. I had a great time with Urs. We flew around one mountain catching the thermals to gain elevation then flew to another mountain where I could see the rugged terrain and high alpine areas. Then we flew over to another mountain where we caught more thermals. I could see another more rugged side of Mr Titlas from this area which was very cool. We then flew back to Engelberg. Urs let me take the controls as we went back! Finally, we did a few tricks right before we landed gently in an open field. What an experience it was! Well worth the money and now my kids have something to talk about for years to come. Thanks Urs and Julio for a world class experience!!!

Wonderful experience

I had my first paragliding experience at Engelberg. I had talked to Urs Estermann of Freeminds couple of days before. I was bit nervous, Urs explained the process and I was a bit relaxed later. My paragliding was scheduled at 4.30 pm on a sunny day (7th Sept, 2016) and it was an wonderful experience. Urs was extremely friendly and after the initial minutes I was totally relaxed. Would recommend this highly to anyone wanting to do.

Exceptional flight!

Very highly recommended! Urs (the owner/pilot) loves paragliding, and wants to share his passion for this sport. He really went out of his way to make sure our flight was exceptional. Despite it being late December, we had a superb thermaling flight starting from Bruni ending at Grafenort (Urs then kindly drove me back up to Engelberg). We gained enough altitude in the first few minutes of flight to be higher than our launching point. amazing views of the Alps. After making sure I was up for it, Urs did some spirals and wingovers, and ended with a super smooth landing. Urs is really friendly and helpful, extremely professional, and has a great deal of experience. i loved the flight! thanks Urs!

I am an unfit 50 year old man, furthest away from being an adrenaline junkie. <br/> This was a fantastic, fun experience, taking in beautiful scenery. It was extremely safe and I felt safe the whole time. If kids can do this from age 5 what was I worried about?<br/> We took the Lucerne - Engelberg Express train which took 40 minutes. From there Urs who owns the company picked us up and took us with the other pilots to a cable car station to take cable car then chair lift to the mountain top. He bought us coffee, we chatted and he made us all feel at ease as did his colleagues.<br/> We got ourselves ready and took off. WOW! What an experience. Would I do it again? Definitely! <br/> We landed in a field next to Urs' house which for us was very handy as its located right next to Grafenort train station for the service coming from Engelberg back to Lucerne. Around 30 mins back to Lucerne.<br/> We met in Engelberg at 8am and were back in Lucerne by 1145. A fantastic time was had by all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I would so love to do this again.</p>

I can't say enough good things! My paraglide with freeminds was nothing short of spectacular. Urs and Benno were wonderful guides and made my first paragliding experience better than I ever imagined. The views were spectacular, the ride was smooth. I absolutely recommend flying with freeminds if you are traveling to Engelberg! Thanks for such a wonderful evening!

A proper way to see Switzerland!

My favourite thing about Switzerland is how peaceful it is, how happy the people are, and the endless opportunities for adventure! Paragliding with freeminds was an incredible experience: it provided adventure as well as a stunning and serene peace overlooking the beautiful Engelberg valley. The pilots let me steer at one point, and we moved through the sky allowing me to see the mountains at all angles! I recommend buying their photos they take of you at the end because they are great quality! The pilots were also extremely kind and very easy to get along with! Was a wonderful experience.

First Flight

Urs maintained contact prior to the trip and once we arrived in Engelberg. He was helpful in suggesting a good day and time for our first paragliding experience. We met Urs and the other pilot at the base of the Brunni cable car and he escorted us up the mountain to our jumping off spot. Photos and video were recorded during the flight by the pilots, so all we had to do was 'hang on' and enjoy the ride. Great, friendly service. Thanks Urs!

Icing on the cake of Switzerland! Highly recommended

Summer or winter, Switzerland is always full of adrenalin sports. If you like adrenalin, do not forget to go to Engelberg (close to Luzern, but also reachable from other cities like Zurich etc - Switzerland is pretty small) And if you go there, call to "Freeminds" and reserve a Tandemflights on Paraglide. I flew for my very first time and I loved it! Somebody could says he has an altitude sickness and fear of heights, but this is completely different! My friend is really sick on the Eifel tower, but he doesn't mind Paragliding. The feeling is absolutely different. You can choose the hill and jump from almost anywhere. I did that from the mountain opposite to Tiltis and I saw everything!

Ein Luft(t)raum über Luzern

Freeminds war die absolut richtige Wahl. Wir starteten vom Pilatus und kamen Dank guter Bedingungen von 2000 Meter auf über 3000 Meter hoch! Absoluter Wahnsinn - der Blick über die Berge, Luzern und den See! Die beiden Piloten waren absolut professionell, mega lieb und einfühlsam. Da traut man sich sogar ein paar Loopings zum Schluss. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Die Flüge am 10.07.2020 waren super, die Kids und wir hatten eine Menge Spaß, werden dieses Erlebnis sicher nicht vergessen und bestimmt nochmal wiederholen. Mit grossem WOW-Effekt!

Der Flug war top von A bis Z: Schon bei der Organisation ist man auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Alles hat perfekt geklappt. Bis der richtige Startplatz zum herrschenden Wind gefunden war, dauerte es eine ganze Weile. Die Sicherheit war stets oberstes Gebot und die Piloten liessen sich nie aus der Ruhe bringen. Die Geduld wurde schliesslich mit einem unvergesslichen Flug belohnt. Wir hatten Spass mit den beiden sehr sympathischen Piloten Urs und Florian. Ich würde schon morgen wieder mitfliegen!
