Disappointing

Disappointing. Hard to hear and I was in the 7th row. Nice twist at the end, but too many loose ends. The cost of the ticket is overpriced. Loved Harry Clarke and Book of Mormon🥴

Only go if you know the story and like it

Was really looking forward to going to see this play, however from the start it was over acted a d exaggerated. Lost interest after 20 mins in, felt as if euthanized. Just ended up closing my eyes. The break was also too long. Sat with eyes closed and fingers in ears for most of the 2nd half too. Looking around on the way out, some others were saying how disappointing it was. Couldn't follow it, the guy was the one who did the murder, such waffle. Mark Fowler and Nick Cotton actors from eastenders were in it I noticed, and only good thing the actors had a job. What a waste of money. Just couldn't wait to get out. Saw it in Northapmton Derngate theatre. Sorry Agatha Christy, simply awful

Very nice evening

This is a must see. The theater is small so it gets crowded. It’s a beautiful place for a theater the seating is decent. The play itself is very good. At the end of the play the actors will ask you not to tell the outcome. All I can say is that the butler didn’t do it.

Classic theater

Great show in a classic theater. Viator did great with reminders, access to tickets, etc. would use them for this purpose again

Unique stage experience

Great to be part of a legendary event. Very funny and good twist at end! We had great seats in the Dress Circle.

Second time of hopefully many more

My mom complained about the snug seating (“I feel like I’m back on the plane!”) but to me that’s part of the charm. You know what you’re getting into when you visit an old theater. Riveting and comical, not to be missed. Drinks are pricey but that shouldn’t come as a surprise! The website is a little wonky but I didn’t give up and I’m glad we found matinee seats.

The Mousetrap was written by English writer Agatha Christie, the greatest crime novelist of the 20th century. The Mousetrap has been running for 70 years. Needless to say, it's still popular. By the way, there's a surprise twist at the end, as you might expect. If you love theatre, you're sure to like The Mousetrap.

Get some decent but value for money seats!

We had heard various people say they were disappointed so went in with low expectations, but we really enjoyed it! It's dated sure but its over 70 years old, you can't really complain about that! If you're a theatre fan you can probably appreciate it, if you're specifically a musical fan maybe not as it doesn't give you that musical high when you come out but definitely worth seeing in my opinion, go in with no pre-existing expectations and you'll be fine, I guess there's a certain level of expectation due to it running for so long, but you just have to take it as it is, a play that was written a long time ago... small theatre so all seats have decent view, there's always ticket deals on get some cheapish seats and give it a go!

Poor Show!

We went on December 28th. We had been looking forward to it. The Front of House staff were friendly and efficient as were the staff at the upstairs bar. From there everything else got decidedly worse. This is a time worn piece and it is certainly showing it's age. The acting was awful - our local am dram could have made it a lot more interesting. My husband who loves Agatha Christie nodded off half way through. At the interval we went to the bar and found the bar staff to be very rude and abrupt. It really is time for this to now retire. Don't waste your money on this it really isn't worth it.

Mainly because it is an 'institution'

Time does affect plays, and this one is no exception. Still, I felt like it is something you have to see.

Nothing special

The theatre is old, not much space for legs, the show was boring and too long, the tickets prices were ok, otherwise nothing exciting

I LOVED the theatre, the play, the seats! Just all around goodness! First time in London, and first time seeing a show there, and would do it again!

Great time watching the mystery unravel! Great actors made for a fun evening watching The Mousetrap! And don't worry - us Texans won't tell Who Dun It!

It’s a must

We booked for tickets that garantees a full view of the stage but it was’n like that. So the classic tickets are enough. A must do definitely!

Great Show

The show is better than I remembered. The cast is fantastic. The theatre is great. The seats are super comfortable. We thorougly enjoyed this.

Dated but Still Fun

We recently saw a performance of the ever-running production of Mousetrap during our recent trip to London. On the plus side, the acting was very professional and the cost, compared to many modern theatrical performances, was most reasonable. The story was predictable and the ending was certainly not as unexpected as the production hype would have you believe. This ain't Shakespeare and it doesn't fit so well in current times, but it is still fun and a good choice for Agatha Christie fans.

Excellent play

The staff were very lovely to me they were all happy and full of life. When the play started it was great the special effects and acting was brilliant with light comedy when things got to serious. I went with my mum and dad and thought the overall experience was a delight, the ending was a bit cheesy but great stage presence, acting and excellent plot twists. The theatre itself is old and is a great historic place, as you probably know the mouse trap is the longest running play to date and is thoroughly worth the money we were in upper circle and still had a great view. The actual story line was brilliant and was very intriguing, it was great fun guessing the murder ( I guessed right 😁). I thoroughly recommend it and hope you have the same enjoyment I had! 2nd visit slightly disappointed!

Saw this 33 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it as a massive Agatha Christie fan. I confess I couldn’t recall anything about the plot. I used theatre tokens given to me as a gift and decided i would like to see it again. The tickets were quite expensive so we decided to go in the upper circle. Im glad i didnt splash out as the seats were so uncomfortable. Most people were shuffling around trying to get comfy and i felt so sorry for the people with longer legs . Its very high up and stairs very uneven and deep. The toilet facilities were quite frankly awful. I appreciate its a very old theatre but considering the enormous nos of people coming to see the show over 69 years there should be funds available to improve them. That said i did enjoy the play and if you are a fan well worth seeing. Just be aware upper circle from rowsE are small cramped and Incredibly uncomfortable with no bag support.

Thrilling

It was very nicely set scene and up to the last moment you did not know who it was. I like the historical feeling of the theater too.

Not my favourite show but ok

Went as couples for a London break & went to see Mousetrap as the seats were reasonably priced compared to other shows. The theatre is old & compact & has a wonderful old charm about it. The seats were VERY compact; Im only 5”2 & my knees were touching the seat in front of me. The show was ok, bit slow & slightly tedious in the 1st 1/2 but ok in the 2nd 1/2. I wouldn’t say anything bad about it but I’d be wary about recommending.

Well performed and set the standard for this type of who dun it in 1952 --- may be performance 27552 - but the actors are fresh and engaging -

Still Going Strong!!

Quite enjoyed seeing this old classic. It has aged well and is still relevant, even 64 years after its first performance.

It was great to see such a classic...

<p>It was great to see such a classic play on the West End. It was very easy to exchange the voucher for a ticket. I had a terrific seat, but the theatre was nowhere near full, so I was able to move forward and have a bit more space around me, as the seats were tight. The area around the theatre Charing Cross Road seemed a little seedy to me and I walked up Shaftsbury Ave where there were more people to catch the bus to my hotel.</p>
