Amazing family fun

Brilliant family fun. I laughed from beginning to end. Actors are superb. I wasn't expecting much but this is our new favourite attraction. Already planned our return.

Great day out!

Amazing! The actors are incredible and the setup is fantastic. My youngest at 8 was a bit scared and probably would have been better a few years older but our teenager loved it despite the horror, really enjoyable experience. Would definitely go back again! There is a ride at the end but you have to be 1.4m tall so worth baring in mind.

Excellent theatrics & Great Family Fun.

Excellent, thoroughly entertaining & Fun experience for whole family ( inc teenager ). Booked admission along with London Eye ticket & definitely worth the money. Lengthy visit & welcome break from the harsh February wind & rain. The staff were brilliant & made the whole experience like nothing we’ve done before. Theatrics are fantastic & well worth every penny ( Tesco vouchers ) spent. Would recommend if your looking for a fun break from sightseeing as easy access next to London eye.

Fantastic experience.

I went on Sunday 23rd February 2025. I was petrified but absolutely loved it. The actors are brilliant and you really do get scared a few times. There was too many good bits but I loved the torture chamber, Miss Lovetts Pie shop and then Sweeney Todd’s barber shop. The barber shop scene was the best. You really think he is in there with you. The drop ride at the end was amazing. I will be coming again however with friends so I can latch on to someone haha

Great time at the dungeons

Had a fab time at the dungeons today all the characters put so much effort in and make it such good fun and a bit scary at times all whilst learning about the history. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly, we really enjoyed it. Thank you

Good Fun and Longer than i Imagined

I didn't know much at all about the London Dungeon before I went. I was expecting to be out in under an hour but we were in there about 1.5 hours. There's loads of live actors that really get into the part and involve people. Be prepared to be picked on! Lots of pitch black, flashing lights, noises and smells, and the odd surprise too! A really fun way to spend a rainy morning. Our only complaint was that the ride at the end wasn't working. We were offered a voucher to come back but we were leaving later that day.

Worth a visit even in holidays was good and well managed

We loved it!

Visited with our children age 16 & 10 during February half term. We all had a brilliant time! You go round in a group and it lasted about 90 minutes. It is a fun way to step back in time to London’s gruesome characters in history. The actors are very good at making it a fun experience. It is very dark in places and the actors do make you jump. But this added to the fun of it, our 10 year old daughter loved it! I did get tried in court for being a witch so be prepared to join in with the story!

Good but crowded

It started really well and I take my hat off to the actors it’s got to be difficult working in semi-darkness all day! It got really crowded about halfway through and so the last three rooms were squashed and the staff were rushing people to move on, which took the fun out of it a bit

Watch out for you 😉

The actors are amazing and take us with them in their macabre history (be careful if you don't understand English well 😁). Special mention for the doctor and the witch! Nevertheless, I remembered the dungeon visited more than 30 years ago where I found the atmosphere perhaps more scary...

A bit creepy and very interesting!

Very interesting, a bit creepy but OK for children from 12. There are a few sequences that I wouldn't expect of a younger child.

Must Visit this place

The experience was good the character were scary a bit but they tell you the history of London the staff is nice and they take a photo before you go in. Overall I had a good time

Fun interactive walkthrough in Londons dark history. Well spent 90 min on this fun even. Staff is fun, engaged and entertaining.

Horrifyingly awesome time

We recently went to the London dungeon and had a fantastically terrifying time. The actors were amazing and we "enjoyed" our experience. A very unique way to learn about the history of London.

Good day out

I came here with my sister and her partner and we wasn’t sure what to expect, however we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is dark, with some steps but not many. The actors and actresses are amazing, gets people involved and very cool to hear about some of the history of London. The rooms are very well decorated and immersive. I would recommend to anyone. However it could be frightening for children!

London Dumgeon - caught sheep stealing

Excellent experience. The staff were helpful kind friendly and funny. I am still trying to work out how the judge found out that I allegedly stole a sheep. Aussie

Great event! The actors were all very convincing! A few real scary moments... the Hamburg dungeon was a lot scarier though!! (which can be good or bad) Recommended!!

Wheelchair review for London Dungeons A+

Excellent service, we had someone in a wheelchair with us and the service once entered was brilliant, there were areas for the wheelchairs to be placed and the actors still included the wheelchair user in the adventure, actors were loud and clear when asking all parities to let us exit or enter first and there was a lift to use when needed, plenty of space to move around and participate in all aspects of the experience. only downside was being asked to use the back entrance and then having to ask multiple members of staff 'who was coming to help us?' other than this the whole experience was fantastic, from the beginning photos to the very reasonable priced gift shop and bar. cant wait to go and do it all over again.

Nice experience

You will walk through the dark pages of British history and the sinister secrets of London, some of which have not been revealed to this day. At the end, you will be tried by a 17th century royal judge and executed. The props are realistic and the actors are very good.

Fun and a bit scary!

My 10yr old and I had a great visit today. I was locked up twice in cages -once for being a witch! My son was accused of being Jack Horner and had to read out the poem. There were a few jump scares and laughs and the actors were all very good. I do think you need to understand English to get the most out of this as some people in our group clearly didn’t get what was going on.

Unique and fun indoor activity (get out of the cold!)

The London Dungeon was quite a unique and fun experience. It is right next to the London Eye, which was WAY too crowded. We bought the dungeon tickets online and showed up about 40 minutes passed our ticket time. The tickets scanned and no one questioned the time. I don't think they really care what time is on the ticket, as long as you have a ticket for that day. The actors are all in and many do a great job scaring the customers. And it was a great way to get out of the cold and do a warm indoor activity.

Brilliant, all weather entertainment!

Brilliant! The initial queue made us wonder if we were just taking a slow walk through a dark tunnel but it actually avoids queuing outside so it’s just deal in bad weather. The actors and actresses are next level, funny, hugely engaging, and really playing their parts well. Great snapshots of gruesome history told well. We’d go again!

Be careful when and where you get your tickets.

Be careful when and where you buy your tickets. We visited by chance as we walked past and saw it and paid £35 each. I wouldn’t say it was worth £35 but was quite fun and informative. However, don’t buy tickets there. Annoyingly we found we could have paid £26 if we’d booked them online the day before. That is quite a big difference, especially if there are 4 of you. Felt a bit like profiteering from the footfall.

Outstanding experience for my family

Amazing experience even for my little daughter ( 8 yrs old ). We all enjoyed a lot. Great acting and the manager is amazing!! I want to thank her as we came next day to complain that the pictures we took was not showing my little daughter as pictures took quickly due to crowd. She helped us correct things. My kids loved it and we’re wishing to go again. Of course we had other planned stuff to do. Very interactive and should not be missed by any means during London visit !!!

A Captivating Experience at the London Dungeon – 5 of 5

The London Dungeon delivers as usual and offers an experience of the highest class. I visited the attraction together with my teenagers, and we were both very impressed. The experience combined humor, excitement and historical elements in an outstanding way. The characters were both engaging and interesting, and the actors' performances were nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend a visit to the London Dungeon to anyone planning a trip to London – an activity that is guaranteed to leave a positive impression. 5 out of 5!

Brilliant

Amazing experience, I went on the 15th December at 14:15. Some of the performances really stood out! the nurse, the baker’s sister and a breathtaking performance by the witch, absolutely fantastic! A special shoutout to Zeina who greeted us before the final ride, she was so funny, sassy and delightful!

Exciting time from the start

Absolutely brilliant experience, I had never been before so 1st time, not sure what to expect but pleasantly surprised. A wonderful story telling experience for all ages, children present when we were there lots of unknown and unexpected things but extremely enjoyable, I would definitely recommend it, if you're brave enough

Great experience but not for children

It is a long time since we went to the London Dungeon and it was really good. The actors were brilliant and entertaining. The experience was fun but scary at the same time, I would not recommend taking young children as it is really dark at times and although the actors don’t jump out at you their presence can be scary.

Very ooky spooky

This was a very good experience and I went with my auntie and my cousins and it was very scary including the guy Fawkes bit and the court room

Stench may be more scary

Well alot as changed since I last went so took my new partner along with me this time. The characters were great and interesting. You did really feel like you were in the barbers shop , good old sweeney. The only issue we had was the stench see the stench which is there to make it more reall clinged onto us , our clothing, all I could smell was the dungeons for the rest of the day. We went back to the hotel afterwards then went out for tea and when we came back to our room yes, you guessed it the room stank of the dungeons. It just became abit of a nuisance in the end.

Not great

Sadly not a great experience. Actors weren’t trying at all and energy was low. The sets were interesting, but shame about the performances.

Well worth it!!

This was really cool. The actors were super into character and stories were interesting and well told. I also appreciate that staff doesn’t put up with garbage! A somewhat unruly teenage group got scolded and almost kicked out for acting like jerks. Handled very professionally! Great experience!

Fun!

Very good got jump scared overall very fun and quite scary was very long so that’s worth it definitely going to visit again

Good fun, informative, and high quality.

A really good and fun experience. Professionally managed. Brilliant interaction from the actors. A few sudden jumps and fairly graphic descriptions of guts and gore. Generally presented in a way that kids can cope with.

Too many people in the group.

It was very well organised and the special effects were brilliant. My only complaint is there were far too many people in the group - it was unpleasant to be squeezed in with so many people and hard to see what was going on unless you were right at the front. There was also a young child in the group who cried and screamed the through the whole experience very loudly because he was terrified and his parents should have been told to remove him.

Definitely go

I knew as soon as I heard screaming and ominous Latin at the entrance that I would have a great time. The most fun thing that I did on my vacation so far. I even got put in cage while the nice lady explained the torture devices. Fun! If you have done the Closes/City of The Dead in Edinburgh, you will probably like this; City of The Dead is more historical and London Dungeon is a mix of entertainment and history. I liked that in the London Dungeon, they drew you in and it was a bit interactive.

Amazing experience for all the family

First time visiting and it was absolutely amazing, the whole family thoroughly enjoyed. (Ages 10-37) Totally worth it 😀 Fantastic immersive experience and great actors, highly recommend a visit.

For lovers of dark atmospheres

Stunning attraction! Very good actors involving guests. Special effects, sensory and scenography with attention to detail. You have to get by quite well with English as some speak fast and with a strong accent. I recommend it to lovers of horror and dark atmospheres.🖤

A Good Day Out.

Had a Great Time here at the London Dungeons. Really enjoyed it, and it is good that you are taken around in a group. All the various acts were very good, and the Actors who gave the talks were Good. The boat ride was not working on the day but apart from that it was Fantastic. It was Silly, Scary and Funny, all good FUN, and a good day out. Also it is an a really good location, next to the Sea life Centre, and the London Eye.

Silly, Scary, Fun. Would be nice to have had more time and smaller group sizes.

Note: This is a dark, immersive attraction that includes sudden scares, confined spaces, and uneven surfaces, making it unsuitable for individuals with limited mobility or a more nervous disposition (adults included). Be prepared for loud, startling sound effects and an atmosphere designed to make you jump, scream, and laugh. During our visit, some children found it overwhelming and cried, while most embraced the experience with excitement and enthusiasm. If you’re sensitive to the sounds of shrieking teenagers, this may not be the best choice for you. I fondly remember visiting the original London Dungeon on Tooley Street as a child, which had a more museum-like setup. This newer location offers a different experience, focused on guided, interactive storytelling. While I did miss the ability to linger over exhibits, this revamped version adds an engaging twist. I visited with my 13-year-old, who is quite introverted, during the October half-term. She went in with no idea of what to expect but ended up loving it so much that she’s already planning a return visit for her birthday with friends. Watching her laugh, smile, and even nervously grab my hand (safely protected from onlookers in the dark!) was a memorable highlight. The Acting and Script: The performances are intentionally over-the-top, with cheesy scripts and innuendo-laden jokes that elicited a few chuckles from adults. The kids in our group responded well to the actors and the unfolding stories. Some reviews have mentioned actors being abrupt or hurrying visitors between scenes. Keep in mind, the characters are meant to be rough around the edges and push the narrative forward. Don’t take it personally if you’re told to move along briskly—it’s all part of the act. The Sets: The sets are impressive and immersive, with thoughtful details that set the scene, including subtle scent effects that add realism without being overpowering. However, the size of the groups moving through the attraction sometimes meant that intricate details were hard to see. A little more time to appreciate these between scenes would have enhanced the experience. The Drop Ride: The ride comes with clearly stated restrictions, highlighted at the entrance, during ticket purchase, and on the website. It notes that riders with larger body proportions might not fit comfortably. As a UK size 18/20, I was prepared for the possibility but found the ride perfectly accommodating. The drop itself, while fun, only lasts around 30 seconds, so if you’re unable to ride, rest assured you won’t miss out on much. I came across a review where someone’s son wasn’t allowed to ride after saying they were pregnant. While it might seem odd, the actors consistently use gender-neutral language throughout, so it was reasonable for them to accept the teenager’s statement at face value, regardless of appearance. Photos: The photo packages are pricey, typical of any Merlin attraction. We paid £30 for four photos and two keyrings, aligning with what you’d expect at similar venues. Overall, this experience successfully blends frights with humour, making it an engaging day out for those who enjoy theatrical storytelling with a touch of horror.

Both rides missing and too crowded.

My son likes to do this every time we visit London, but we were disappointed this trip. A sign at the entrance said the Long Drop ride was closed due to maintenance, but when we went through we realised there was also no boat ride to Traitors’ Gate, one of our favourite parts of the experience. As usual the young actors were fantastic and gave their all, but the absence of both rides did make a difference to our enjoyment. Merlin should mention if the rides are off on the website so visitors can make an informed choice. The other negative was that we both felt they let too many people in for our time slot so it felt uncomfortably packed at points.

Theatre ghost walk in London's darker history

Very well done ghost walk. You walk in groups of about 30 people and are guided between different scary rooms where an actor takes care of you. A little tricky English to understand sometimes because the actors are of course from England and have an accent, but it just gave a more authentic feeling, so it's not negative. We visited sweeney todd and Jack the ripper. Fantastic actor! They got the audience to participate in the theater and both scenery and effects were very well worked.

Spooky Addition to a Weekend Trip

This was a nice addition to our trip. The entire tour took about two hours, but we were never bored. There were long lines to start with, but that was to be expected on a weekend before Halloween. The staff were very friendly and talkative. The actors and effects were very good as well, nothing too frightening but they can definitely give you a fright. It is a good balance for various age groups. I would suggest that you book a ticket for the weekday as it is a little bit cheaper, and that you go in the morning as you might not have to wait as long, but then you run the risk of getting picked for the audience participation which might not be to eveyone's taste. The ride at the end was a great way to end up the tour and the bar was also lovely and spooky.
