Stonehenge Half-Day Tour from London with Admission

Awesome tour!!!!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the whole tour! It was super convenient and we loved the snacks provided! The weather was absolutely perfect so that also helped the experience A LOT!

A Great Afternoon at Stonehenge

Very convenient and right on time! The driver was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Would definitely recommend these guys.

Walked from the bus to Stonehenge , did the circle, and then took the shuttle back.

The walk to and around Stonehenge! I have seen photos but it is more impressive to actually be there. The snack pack was great and Armando (driver) was great!

Easy

Easy way to see stonehenge from london. Comfortable and clean bus, very nice driver. About 2 hour ride there and back and a bit over 2 hours at stonehenge. A good amount of time for a walk to the site, see and take pictures and time to grab a snack and some gifts too. Would recommend.

Primitive Ingenuity.

The Museum was very informative and having already listened to the Stonehenge app on the coach I felt well informed. It was awesome to see the henge as we crested the hill, and as traffic slows down I was able to really see it in it's entirety as pilgrims would have for the past thousands of years.

Interesting site but uncomfortable bus ride

We enjoyed seeing Stonehenge but the bus ride to and from the landmark was uncomfortable. The heat was blowing on our feet the entire ride (it was not a cold day) while the A/C cut on and off. On the way back the passengers in the back finally yelled to the bus driver that it was getting way too hot. Once we arrived at Stonehenge, the driver did not have enough wristbands for our entire party so we had to wait in line with him so we could all enter together. Also, we were not told about the shuttle to the monument so spent the first 30 minutes walking the trail to the site (we only had 90 minutes there total). We did ride the shuttle back to the bus and had time in the gift shop to buy souvenirs.

What an amazing afternoon. So thankful that England has preserved this place. The drive to Wilkeshire was pretty and doable.

Great time!

Our tour guide spoke to us almost the entire way there and even though it was extra crowded at Stonehenge, he extended our time to make sure we had the best experience possible. We were also provided with a snack pack which was unexpected and very delicious except for the weird sandwich. The trip was definitely worth the drive.

Exactly as described

Great ride out to Stonehendge and back. Driver was very helpful and patient. Very pleasant ride and Stonehenge was amazing.

Cool tour but more than half day!

An amazing way to see Stonehenge but this was way more than a half day tour. Unsure it was traffic but it was over 7 hours. The bus driver and tour operator were super friendly so it made the trip worthwhile but we assumed we would be back much earlier. Overall, it was incredible and glad we did it!

Amazing

Amazing. Even tho it rained. Had a great time. Had so much fun during the trip as well. It's amazing over there

Audio not working...

Audio not working properly on bus. Drop off should be back at the pick up point, not at Gloucester Road tube station. Our driver was excellent and very helpful to passengers needing assistance . Would have liked more time at Stonehenge, two hours is not enough.

A memorable tour

The site was amazing. The driver was very humorous rousing laughs from the people on the bus. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

Worth the trip.

The peacefull and quietness of the site. The visitor center is very interesting. The only negative is that the time at the site is too short (2 hours) to walk around and immerse yourself in the countryside. One hour for the visitor center and another hour to walk around the stone circle and the bus is already close to depart.

Sit back and relax

Sat back and let Nathan do the driving. Was easy 2 hrs there and 2 hrs back with 2 hrs at Stonehenge. No frills. Comfy coach had wifi and we even received a boxed snack pack with our 830am tour. Highly recommend. London is stressful enough for driving, let golden tours be your chauffeur.

5 stars! Would highly recommend

Nathan was an amazing driver. And even though his role was not that of a tour guide, he was also able to provide helpful advice regarding the Stonehenge shuttles and strategizing the visit. The ride was comfortable and efficient. The 2 hour self guided tour was perfect. Not too long, but definitely not rushed.

Very interesting site

Should have more information when we drove up to area. Like audio tour. No information. We were just taken to stone sight.

Informative tour

Stonehenge was awesome. The drive both ways were uneventful and very quiet our driver spoke twice in the entire trip “ fasten your seatbelts and you have arrived” the monitors in the seat backs did not work at least where we were seated. The sandwich box though a great idea was not good the sandwich was terrible a bread roll with a slice of cheese and a not great tasting sauce. It also had an apple a bag of chips and an oatmeal bar so we did get something we could eat. Overall the tour was very informative learned some history I did not know.

Great site - less than great experience

The Stonehenge attraction is fabulous. However, a few things of note: 1-No guidance from driver/team leader on how or what to expect: basically figure out on your own. This tour is self guided but some basic information would of helped greatly to save time trying to figure out things -especially when we are on a time schedule. 2-The temperature on the bus ride back was extremely hot-miserable. We mentioned to the bus driver but no response. 3-The guests from non-English speaking countries were having a hard time at Stonehenge just trying to navigate entry. I tried to help since our tour operator basically checked out upon arrival to the site. Overall, I would recommend the Stonehenge trip but I highly suggest that you contact the travel company and ask specific questions. Lessons learned for me: Call several tour operators and ask questions. I booked online for convenience but I got what I paid for!!! Roger Texas

The trip was great but this third party booking system through your company is useless and the directions to pick up are all incorrect

Throughly enjoyed this trip

I loved my trip- it was easy, hassle free and it came with a free lunch. The trip includes access to the grounds and the shuttle bus to and from the site, the bus drive made this half day so fun and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this trip.

Great trip!

This tour was what we wanted so it fit our needs perfectly. The pickup was on time, the bus ride was fine (although there was lots of traffic both ways), the snack box exceeded expectations, the price was reasonable, and the weather was wonderful. There were a lot of people at the stones, which diminished the experience. We walked from the visitor center to the stones and then took the bus back. Gorgeous day.

Our amazing trip to Stonehenge

We really enjoyed our trip to Stonehenge. It was wonderful to see something with so much history and the English countryside is absolutely stunning! Would highly recommend.

No frills — just Stonehenge

I don’t recall anything very spectacular about this trip. The meeting spot was a bit difficult to find in the morning, but I made it just in time. The bus took us to Stonehenge and we had plenty of time to see it. I wasn’t sure if going to see Stonehenge in December was going to be a great idea. Was it cold? Yes, but it was still wonderful. I’m so glad this half-day tour was an option because it was the perfect way to see Stonehenge and still be back in London in time for an evening concert. Overall, I have no complaints about the trip; it served its purpose.

I am glad that we were...

I am glad that we were given snack box because we had to wake up early and no time to eat. I wish we had more time because there is a wait for the shuttle bus, wait in the toilets and wait to take pictures.

Stonehenge family trip.

it was a great tour, right on time. A must see landmark when visiting London. We had fun as family. They provided a snack, was a pleasant surprise.

Disappointed in cancellation

Our tour, which we'd paid for well in advance, was canceled without explanation too late for us to schedule another date. We did get a full refund, but were very disappointed not to get to Stonehenge. My guess is that they didn't have enough purchasers.

Good tour

Good short trip , as given it was only a coach tour , no guide , the driver drops u off at the Stonehenge centre and picks you up once the tour is done

Excellent tour

Right from the start to the end of the tour, the guide/driver kept us informed about the itinerary and also gave loads of useful information not just about Stonehenge but about London as well. He seemed very informative and the timelines were well kept. I world definitely recommend Golden Tours to anyone who wants to visit Stonehenge. Brilliant experience overall!

Stonehenge early morning tour

Jim was very knowledgeable. His humor made the bus ride more than bearable and were mostly based on historical puns which I enjoyed. Arriving early was a sure bet against beating the crowds.

Not worth it

The driver was rude and made fun of everyone’s last name while reading the roster out loud. We also were left waiting for him in the bus with the coach and ac turned off several times. It was warm outside so the coach got hot really fast. We had to ask him several times to turn the ac on. After the trip we were dropped off at a different location and no one was there to offer us information on how to find our way back. Many of the passengers were from out of town and were left lost and confused on the side of the road. Very disappointing for the amount we payed.

Stonehenge

It a great experience seeing it in person.awesome visit. One of those things do it once and move on. It a 30 minute walk from visitor center if you chose not to take the shuttle

Jim and Stonehenge are the Best

I am extremely pleased with the entire experience from start to finish with Jim. His commentary during the first maybe 20 min of the drive was relevant and offered great info. With it being my first time in London I enjoyed the tid bits and little jokes he had about places we passed by. Then the last 25 min of the trip he offered info on Stonehenge with his same friendly demeanor and jokes. This was technically suppose to be a self guided tour so Jim really went above and beyond with sharing information along the route. He had a great attitude and seemed to really genuinely enjoy his work. It seemed very organized from start to finish as well. I would recommend this tour to any first timers to Stonehenge. But I will say Jim added to the whole experience. Jim, if this review makes it back to you, THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊

Good value half day trip

We decided that we just wanted to visit Stonehenge and not spend the whole day on the road. Bus was clean and comfortable. The trip was punctual and Armando the driver was a blast! 100% recommended!

Great half day trip if youre in a rush. Trust, you dont need more than 30 mins at the spot!

The driver forgot his name ( was an elderly gentleman, perhaps indian background) was funny and informative. He is a Gem. The feedback form in the end is good, but please provide a pen as not everyone carries one. But for anybody travelling there this half day experience is the best. Dont walk to the stones as it is pointless and take the shuttle. the snaks provided in this tour were good given that i really didnt expect anything so was not disappointed at all. Thanks for a plesant trip guys

Pleasant and informative half day Stonehenge tour

The audio tour around Stonehenge was very interesting and educational, even to my 11 and 16 year old grandsons. Didn't have much time for the other 2 tours (the Exhibit and Landscape tours) but they were of lesser interest. It would have been nice to have more time overall -- from the time the bus arrived to the time we depared we had 2 hours, but almost half an hour was spent waiting in line for the bathroom and then for the shuttle tram to get to the Stonehenge site itself. The box lunch on the bus was a nice touch. The bus ride to and from Stonehenge was uneventful - just a bus ride, no touring info provided.

A great day trip

This was such a lovely trip!! The coach driver was absolutely brilliant too, his name escapes me (it was the am trip on 10th of May 24). His commentary made the coach ride part of the fun!

Perfect trip

When we arrived at the bus, we surprisingly received a snackpack, which was perfect for the trip to and from Stonehenge. The drive went quick, with the driver telling a lot of stories of the areas and building we drove by, so even though the trip is unguided, it felt like having a guide. 2 hours at Stonehenge was perfect. There was plenty of time to see everything, and not too much time, so one would get bored. We took the shuttle to Stonehenge, and walked back to the visitorcenter, and we till had time, to see everything.

Advertised as an unsecured trip, the group got a GREAT deal having Jim as a driver. He is loaded w interesting stories, jokes, history - he was a real plus!! Highly recommend Jim!!

Great coach trip with driver Jim! An excellent half day trip with snacks onboard and comments included, although it was mentioned it’s not a guided tour, Jim still kept the ride interesting and short! Highly recommend

Stonehenge Half Day Tour

We did the half day tour to Stonehenge, the bus ride was under 2 hours each ways with very comfortable seats. Jim our bus driver/ tour guide was great, gave history and information on the way out and way back to London. Made the trip go very fast. So thank you Jim, Great day.

Stonehenge

Jim was an amazing driver. He got a lot of information about London City and Stonehenge. He was very friendly and funny. I loved that guy! The coach was very clean and comfortable. Also liked the snack box we got at the beginning of the trip. Would totally recommend.

Spiritual Stones

Walking up and around Stonehenge after waiting 40 years to do so was an incredibly moving and spiritual experience. We had a full bus. The staff at London Victoria was very helpful to myself and others in locating the correct queue, and our driver took excellent care of us.

Ruined by Bus driver

Stonehenge was terrific. The bus ride home via Golden Tours was a disaster. When I got on the bus I checked with the driver if he was going to London. The bus was only going to Salisbury!! I was stranded there and had to go to the Salisbury train station, buy a 31 pound ticket to London Waterloo and then a taxi back to my hotel.

Well-organized and tourist-friendly facilities. Accommodating staff, excellent choice of merchandise in store. Stonehenge is a must-see on a visit to the UK. Comfortable coach with satisfying snack box.
