Great trip.

Great trip. A lot of walking. Guide was good but I had a little trouble understanding her as English was not her first language. (It might of just been me).

Fun and informative

John was an excellent tour guide who shared interesting facts to/from Windsor Castle. I do wish we had more time to enjoy time at the pubs afterwards but overall excellent tour. Take note that St George Chapel is closed on Sundays

Great tour with amazing guide!

This afternoon tour was a great way to see Windsor and St. George's Cathedral. The ride wasn't too long and we learned all sorts of interesting things along the way. I enjoyed the cathedral more than the apartments. Our tour guide Ruth was amazing!

Fit for a King!

Our guide, Mark, was amazing!!! Thanks to Mark’s keen sense, we got to see, up close, King Charles being driven into Buckingham Palace. What a thrill!

Rushed Visit to Windsor Castle

Our recent trip to Windsor Castle was marred by long travel times, leaving us with just 1.5 hours to explore. The two-hour round trip cut short our time to fully appreciate the castle and town. Despite the impressive sights, the rushed pace diminished our overall enjoyment. Consider transportation logistics before planning your visit to ensure a more fulfilling experience.

Ruth

Ruth (the guide) was simply the best! She made the trip fun while we learnt during the bus ride and in the Palace grounds. Highly reccomend this tour, Ruth and W, the driver, such a smooth drive!

It’s a castle

Good plan if you want to see Windsor but don’t want to spend a lot of time there. Comfortable coach ride-be mindful that traffic can have an effect on timing. Also note the chapel is closed on Sundays which is a significant part of the tour-our fault for not checking that. Would have preferred the morning time slot so as not to split our day. Otherwise recommend the tour-guide was friendly and informative

Great tour of Windsor Castle

A great tour, excellent tour guide and well run, very happy we booked this tour as we are avid history buffs.

Well worth it

Wished I could have taken some pictures. Felt rushed through the rooms . Recommend doing the chapel first as it closes at 4:15 for services

Windsor afternoon tour

The tour guide and driver were very nice. The time at Windsor felt too short. We entered Windsor around 320 and the exhibit entrances closed at 430 so it was a rush. I would recommend a morning tour to have a more leisurely time .

Interesting trip to the past

Lots of history; interesting to see how they lived back then. Beautiful grounds. Somewhat long bus ride to get there.

Windsor Great! Your guide - meh!

The trip was fine and Windsor was wonderful, but our tour guide was pretty condescending the entire time - kind of like treating everyone like they had never traveled abroad before. Maybe the “British” sense of humor but still condescending.

An excellent tour and bus ride. A very good value. It was so interesting. Would have loved to have even more time there. Very easy to find pick up location. Bus ride and bus driver were excellent

Would not recommend this tour guide

We loved visiting Windsor Castle and the state apartments. We appreciated not having to drive. Unfortunately, we did NOT like the tour guide, Urshula. She was negative and disrespectful. She started out saying that men should only listen to women and not use their own brains. It went downhill from there. The driver, Rory, was new. He did a great job despite the difficulty of the tour guide's attitude.

Great tour and expert guide! Worth every penny!

We really enjoyed all the expert history narration both to and from Windsor. Amazingly done without a script! Both entertaining and educational. Our only regret was that there was no time left to explore the village of Windsor. But the whole experience was worth every penny!

Find a different tour - Not enough time

We were looking forward to this tour. We choose the 1:00pm tour from London. It took almost an hour longer for us to get to Windsor. So by the time we got the group together and walked up the hill to start we were already down to 2 hours to see the Castle, Cathedral, Doll House and town for shopping. It was a joke. The line for the Doll House was 45 minutes. If this tour is going to be offered, the organizer should allow enough time to enjoy what we paid for. This was horrible planning on their part. Choose someone else. I will offer that the guide was great and the bus driver did a good job.

GUIDE TALKING NON STOP !

The castle itself was astonishing! Being part of this history it’s just amazing. HOWEVER, there is unfortunately a downside to this tour. The tour guide, Eileen, I believe her name is, TALKED NON STOPPP THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TRIP! It was just TOO overwhelming! She is knowledgeable but honestly it was adjust toooo much. Lot of irrelevant details, jumping from one subject to the other, no participation of the crow whatsoever. DRIVER as well, ash, @ arrival I wasn’t sure if I was @ the right place. I knocked the door and his reaction was very RUDE & COLD. Was t even willingly okay with opening the door. I guess he was already overwhelmed with the idea of the guide speaking non stop. I mean, no water breaks whatsoever! I am doing this review as honest as possible so they can reach her out and address the issue. The CASTLE & STAFF AGAIN AMAZING!

Great tour, guide and driver! Windsor Castle is magnificent. St George’s Chapel was beautiful. I recommend this tour highly.

Impressive!

This was my favorite day trip from London. Windsor Castle was so impressive. Our driver and guide were both excellent. My tour was on May 2.

Castle & St. George's Chapel were wonderful, as was the Doll House

Castle & St. George's Chapel were wonderful, as was the Doll House. A lot to see! However, although the guide said (several times) that we would have plenty of time, there wasn't enough time to do everything. We ended up rushing through the final areas of the castle. We needed to prioritize exactly what we wanted to see, so we wouldn't miss those things. We should have educated ourselves more before our visit.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle was beautiful! The bus guide was full of info and amusing along the way, even though we were delayed by construction traffic. We didn't have time to explore the town of Windsor, but will make time later.

Europe adventure 24

Although our tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. Once we arrived at the site she was not allowed to guide us so we had to wear headphones and listen which was just dandy. Basically we paid for a bus ride with a rude driver to Windsor Castle. Tour would be great on its own without the bus ride which is what you are paying for. Windsor Castle is amazing and the staff is very polite and helpful. That is worth a visit.

Great tour but should be longer.

Loved touring Windsor! Not enough time. I had to skip some of the audio and didn’t get to tour the town. The tour should be longer to allow more time to explore.

Royal Windsor visit

Fabulous afternoon with Ruth as our guide. The coach driver was great too, felt completely safe with him at the wheel. I would highly recommend Evan Evans, will use them again. Very informative trip and plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful castle

Enjoyed the tour of the...

Enjoyed the tour of the State Apts. However, our tour guide did not tell us that St . George’s Chapel closed at 4 pm ( even though our stay in Windsor went until 5 pm). We were turned away at the door exactly at 4 pm. Very disappointed that we missed seeing St. George’s Chapel.

Windsor Castle Tour

It was a very enjoyable experience with my son. I enjoyed the coach trip and the tour. The tour guide, Sheila, was excellent. We had plenty of time after to explore the town.

Evans and Evans is 1st class.

Sheila, our tour guide, was incredible. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and a great disposition. The afternoon Windsor tour was wonderful. It did not start until 1 and we were home by 6. We liked that the bus was comfortable, had USB and Wi-Fi. Evans and Evans are 1st class. We will be going on the Leeds tour with them in a couple of days and we are looking forward to it.

Best part of my visit to London!

What a wonderful tour and guide! My favorite part of our entire trip to London! Sheila was wonderful with lots of information but not too much. Also, a nice ride out to the castle with just enough info plus time to relax. Plenty of time to view castle and chapel and have lunch. Would have liked maybe one more hour to do some shopping. Windsor is a lovely little town and definately will go back to spend more time there, thank you!

Knowledgeable

It was definitely good trip, I had a lot fun and got to know so much about bath, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and around this destination. It was lovely i am taking with me lots of memories. I would only advice that if u wanna explore more particular destination try to do 2 on each day that would be knowledgeable even if u plan three Thats also good but you would have limited time to explore but it's worth it

Best tour

Loved the tour guided. She was very knowledgeable and the experience was amazing. Upon reaching the castle she knew where to take us first. So grateful that we made it on time to visit the chapel where the queen was buried.

Windsor Castle

The pick up was easy and the waiting area nice and clean. Very friendly courteous knowledgeable staff. The tour started on time and our tour guide John was fantastic. Answered all our questions and was very patient and professional.

Gorgeous Castle tour dampened by an incompetent tour guide.

The tour is somewhat mixed. The castle itself is extremely rich in history and is breathtaking; no pictures or videos allowed inside the castle and at St. George's Chapel (which is to be expected). It was also an honor to see her late Majesty's QE II's final resting place. The issue with this tour is with our tour guide Eileen. She spoke non-stop from the moment we left London all the way to Windsor and she did the same on our way back to London. She gave too many irrelevant information and some of which were her personal opinions regarding British politics/politicians. It was evident by my fellow tourists that they were not interested in all the information she was sharing. Once we arrived at the castle, she was too quick to walk from the coach park to the castle. She offered to stop to have guests use the restroom however, she did not stop long enough for everyone to have the chance to use the facilities. Those who used the facilities had to play catch-up to her once entering the castle. No clear directions were given. As I mentioned before, the castle itself is gorgeous however, the experience was dampened by an incompetent tour guide.

The Castle and the Chapel were both amazing. The audio tour provided, on site, was good. But the tour guide we had was not good, at all. She blathered on and on without providing a thread or any continuity to her comments. She was often difficult to hear and or understand and she spent too much time doing “roll call”, counting people, etc. Participants in a tour like this should be self-regulating. If they can’t keep up they shouldn’t be on a tour. We were sorely disappointed to have learned so little from what should have been a seasoned professional providing interesting, cogent and connected information.

Good tour

Wonderful tour of seeing the Windsor Castel however the guide was very opinionated and mostly negative. We could have done without the negativity.

Well worth the time to visit!

Walking around the Chapel and Castle, was awesome! The Castle grounds are well kept, the tour audio was excellent and easy to use.

Beautiful Day

Our tour guide Ursula was full of interesting information. She talked to us about different places and pieces of history on our bus ride. She got us all enthused to see the castle.

The grounds are kept up beautifully . It is majestic !!! I could feel the history coming alive as I was walking around.

Windsor Castle and Chapel

Windsor Castle and the chapel was lovely and very interesting, however we felt the tour was rushed. We could have spent more time at the Castle and in the town, another hour would have been good. Also having had ear pieces would have made it easier to hear the guide. Also we didn't realise that the guide couldn't guide us within the Castle, so she could have recommended that we purchase an audio guide. This would have helped us understand the significance of what we were looking at.

Royal grandeur

Expert guide in Dave, gave interesting historical tidbits on the way there and back. The castle tour itself is grand, however, I would recommend to do this on one’s own time, and not be tied to timing of a group, as there is too much to see and process in the allotted time. Also, as we chose Sunday for our visit, the chapel was off limits to visitors. That’s on me.

An absolute must see

I went only for the afternoon. I wish now that I had spent at least a day there. The castle is just what you would hope for. Get the audio guide with your ticket; it's a must. Now, the town of Windsor? I wish I had been able to spend at least a day there. The streets and the shops and the afternoon tea. Oh, my! Plan to spend more than just an afternoon for both. Wear good shoes with traction because the streets are cobblestone and areas in the castle are, too. Be sure to see St. George's Chapel before it closes at 4:00 p.m. You will be able to pass by the burial place of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth and more past monarchs. Well worth the price.

An expert Windsor tour

Dave, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and also very personable. It was a terrific way to visit Windsor in comfort and learn some British history. The booking process was easy.
