Our tour guide Delia was amazing. We appreciated her reaching out before the tour to understand our interests and to communicate where to meet and how to find her. Something to Crow About in Shoreditch

We were fortunate in many ways. No rain, beautiful weather and it was early so the streets were not crowded. But what made our tour unforgettable was our guide Crow. From the moment we met him in the hotel lobby he was interesting, informed and insightful. He regaled us with tales from both past and present - he was an absolute delight to be around. The kind of person we would love to meet again for a drink or a tour of a music venue or an art gallery. Travel is in many ways the elixir of life and when you meet someone who guides you to make your visit that much more memorable you know you hit the jackpot. We did.

Great experience

Imagine being guided around London for your first visit with a good friend-- if your friend knew London better than Google Maps. That’s Becky Johns. Becky was flexible, attentive to our preferences and willing to improvise to keep things fresh. She took us to places we would have never seen on our own with a warm touch that made us feel we were being shown around by a personal friend rather than a seen-it-all hardened guide. Becky’s other reviews made me think she’d be well informed, which is definitely is, but I was not prepared to laugh as much as we did. Her knowledge ran from history to film locations to how to find a proper pub. Cannot recommend Becky more. Hire Becky if you want to know all about London with a personal touch.

A lively area in the sound of London with a remarkable man

Hi there. When I told Londoners I've visited Brixton, they confirmed this really is a vivid area in the South of London ! My personal guide, Richard, is the right one to have you introduced in this diverse community with lots of history. We met at the mural of David Bowie, near to Brxton tube and Richard started to talk about the area and its inhabitants. He took me to electric street where food stores were opening and I admired the diversity of food and people who are working overthere. Richard talked me about the history of Brixton riots in the Eighties, about black history in London and about gentrification now. We took our time to visit local shops and Richard advised me to buy a little book about unknown London in a second hand bookshop. It seemed to me a lot of local people knew him (and he knew them). Although I preferred to have my guided tour in the morning, we could see a glimpse of Brixton container village where Pop Brixton is taking place. At the end of the tour we ended this remarkable morning with a remarkable guide on a terrace of a little pub near the railway station. Richard paid for the drinks and I could continue my trip in London with a big smile. Thanks Richard ! Tom

A delightful day with Delia!

Our day with Delia in London was fabulous! She met us in the lobby of our hotel and took us to all of the must-see spots, including the Palace of Westminster, the London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament Square, St James Park, Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, The Parish Church of St Stephen Walbrook, St Paul’s Cathedral, London Bridge, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, the Shard, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater and more! Delia shared great insights about each of the sights and had abundant historical knowledge of these treasures. We stopped along the way for coffee/tea at some quaint cafes and had a plethora of choices at Borough Market for lunch. Thanks to Delia’s impeccable timing, we were able to see the King himself drive past, on his way to Buckingham Palace!! Clearly the highlight of the day! With Delia, we felt as if we were traveling with a trusted friend. She interacted with every member of our family throughout the day and made it so easy to ask questions. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to take pictures. Despite the rain, it was a delightful day and one we won’t soon forget. Much thanks to Delia for her kindness, her hospitality, and her vast knowledge of her beautiful city!

Great London Startup

Dalia was a wonderful guide who introduced us to London on a beautiful Friday afternoon walk. We walked thru Covent Garden and Soho districts, stopped by Trafalgar Square and Picadilly Circus, and ended close to Regent Street shopping district. Great way to start our London vacation! We had an excellent tour of the major sites of London. Stuart was an engaging and knowledgable host who really knew the city of London. Great Local Guide!

One of my favorite things to do when I visit a city is to get away from the crowded touristy areas and see where the locals live, work and play. This tour was perfect for that and Tem was an excellent guide! He provided a mix of history as well as information on local attractions, restaurants, nightlife and the culture of Brixton in general. Tem was knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to and never seemed to tire of my unending questions. I will recommend him to any of my friends interested in learning more about Brixton.

Knowledgeable local & guide

We enjoyed our tour around London with Naomi, she had colorful background on the kings and queens, their scandals and how many buildings came to be in our tour area. She was flexible with us on time as our plane arrived that morning and we needed to end the tour near our hotel (and early) so this was appreciated. Thank you!

City of London

Becky was our guide on City of London tour last week. We had great time having her as our guide. We saw many unknown plazas, centers that we could not have visited on our own, for example, the bar Charles Dickens visited, and the plaza that reminded us of Venice near St. Martins, Picadilly square and many more. All in all it was time spent well on the tour.

Personalized Tour

I took the "Private Custom London Tour with a Local". My tour guide was Beata (Bea) and she was awesome. It supposed to be me and 2 others but they canceled at the last moment so I went solo with Bea. We had a great tour and hit all the sites. I had purchased an all day pass at the airport that morning to get to London and used it on the tour to jump on busses and the subway and then to get back to my airport hotel, that worked out great for 24 pounds. We hit all the sites I wanted to see including Big Ben, Cathedrals, Buckingham Palace, Harry Potter locations and many others. We stopped for hot chocolate along the way to take a brief rest. It was an awesome day and she was an awesome guide

Our trip to London

My daughter and I were visiting London for the very first time and wanted to see as much as we could. We took this tour with Becky and it did not disappoint. She was a wonderful tour guide. London Landmarks on a layover

We had a layover at Heathrow and only 6 hours to see London. It was our first time there and we would not have a clue how to navigate the city and transit system without our wonderful tour guide Delia. Thanks to Delia we were able to see so many wonderful landmarks of London like Westminster Abby, the tower Big Ben, the Royal park, and the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. We were in London for the day and it would not have been possible to see what we did without Tom. He tailored the tour to our interests and even showed us some less known sites around London. My wife and I couldn't have asked for more on our private tour of London with Tom. A Great Way to Start Our Week

Using the Viatour site, we arranged for an 8 hour personal tour guide of London during a recent visit. It was a first visit to the city and we thought that having a guide take us around on our first full day there would be a good idea. We were matched with Alan who was TERRIFIC. Alan reached out before we arrived and he asked questions about what we were interested in, NOT interested in, etc. He arrived right on time at our hotel and the entire day flew by. He showed us some non-tourist things, gave us great advice about how to spend time, and showed us practical “how to get around” tips that we definitely used throughout the rest of our visit. Having an expert show us around and share words of wisdom really set a great outline for the remainder of our week and I’m so glad we were matched with Alan.

Clearly an excellent choice

Our private tour with Abraham was possibly the best part of our trip to London! Abraham started out even before our visit bean, providing a proposed tour, and then assuring us along the way, even during the tour itself that any changes to his proposed tour could be changed on the fly. Abraham was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, which is exactly what we were looking for. We specifically asked to not be taken into shopping areas, and we are not foodies, so we did not get any highlights of those areas, which was just fine with us. I think to get the best experience from any guide is to let him (or her) know that you are most interested in the history and life of the city you’re in, and Abraham excelled at that. If you have the chance to get a tour with Abraham, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic tour guide.

Our 8 hour walking tour had too much to offer. This is my 3rd time in London. First was more than 20yrs ago, second was right before everything shut down because of covid so i missed a lot of the new n old sights. Monica maybe Italian but she knows what is talking about when it comes to British history n sights. For those joining, it mostly a walking n only once did we use the tube. She gladly took pictures for us n was very flexible on a lot of things like the weather. That day, rain kept on popping out on us in the afternoon. My son & i totally enjoyed the places we saw, the scotch egg too she recommended we try for lunch. Anyone who will encounter her in the future will feel lucky to have her.

Great Tour and Flexibility!

What a wonderful tour guide Maggie was! Our flight to London for Wednesday was cancelled and we didn't arrive until 6:30am the day of the tour that was to start at 9:30am. Can you say jet lag? Maggie was kind enough to move our tour to 11:30am and conducted one of the best walking tours of London that I have had. She kept us moving at the perfect pace to keep us going and gave us so much interesting information about the palaces, Parliament, and other sites. Kudos to her for keeping us so interested that we forgot our jet lag!

Ana Maria was a blast from start to finish. She had the appropriate balance between levity and education. It was like being guided on a tour by that fun aunt who tells you about all the good secrets that you’re not supposed to know or see. She took the time to consider the input we gave and tailored our experience for exactly what we liked. We asked for history, Harry Potter, and things out of the ordinary, and she delivered tenfold. She also went beyond the basic rambling of a tour guide and asked personal questions to figure out which next site/location best fits the type of people we are. She was a sweetheart and a delight, and I will absolutely recommend her to anyone who ever goes to London.

Get the flavor of local neighborhoods and local cuisine.

This is a great experience and is highly recommended, especially to anyone unfamiliar with the town they're visiting. It's an excellent way to delve into the local culture, away from the tourist scene. We couldn’t have ask for a more perfect tour of Kensington Gardens. Our guide David was very knowledgeable and so pleasant. I felt like we were old friends at the end of the tour.

Best host and interesting Shoreditch street art tour.

Tom took me around Shoreditch ( London) to look at the area well known for it’s street art, explaining the reasons behind the area welcoming the art and telling about some of the artist that are known for their individual graffitis. He also took it on him to show me a bit of other stuff that i mention having interest of but not being able to sign up due to the time i had on my layover. Tom is an energetic guy, with lots of knowledge and passion for the tour. He exceeded my expectations and his the best host i have had so far.

Best West to Experience London!!

I cannot say enough great things about this tour!! David was an absolute joy to be with! I feel like we met a family friend to take us around. David contacted me previously via text and asked what our expectations or wants would be on this tour and then planned a perfect tour but was also flexible enough to change it if we needed. I was nervous to take my mother who doesn’t move as fast as the rest of us and who loves history with my fast paced really cool teens. Also there are sooo many things to do and see in London I didn’t know where to begin! David is was an expert for both of these two parties. He is incredibly knowledgeable in all things London! History,politics, pop culture, cricket etc. He met us right at our hotel, taught us how to navigate the tube (so fun) took us to the must see sights, gave us history backgrounds and told fantastic stories and tidbits that impressed my mom but also entertained and humored my kids! We saw the typically sights of London, but also the hot spots for shopping, entertainment, food, history, little insider gems and so so much more. We went off the beaten paths and learned so many extra things, he answered all our questions and actually spent time getting to know each one of us! It was so fun! He got us back to our hotel and even helped me plan an itinerary for the next day to try to navigate myself! My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time with our personal professional expert!!! We hope to spend another tour with David! Do not hesitate to take this tour it is amazing!!

A Wonderful Evening Out on the Town

I took the custom one-on-one tour of LGBTQ Soho with Sandro. The evening was fantastic. Sandro's enthusiasm and knowledge of Soho was in-depth and infectious. Not only did we explore some of the many watering holes of Soho but Sandro also walked me to a number of excellent restaurants and other attractions, allowing me to experience Soho like a local. The reason that I can recommend this tour is that Soho can be overwhelming as to which are the good night spots and restaurants. After the evening was over, I had a clearer understanding of where to go and where to avoid, which was my goal in booking this tour.I absolutely recommend Sandro and this tour.

Terrific short term London visit

We had a terrific layover tour with Becky. From the time she met us in Paddington Station until she returned us there for the Heathrow Express every moment was delightful. Although she planned a program we had requested, instead we "went with the flow" and did a wonderful and relaxing walking tour of London, including the Westminster area, a ride on an Uber boat on the Thames and a snack at a restaurant in a crypt at St. Martins-in-the-Fields. We had been to London twice before and already seen some of these sights but Becky's perspective and information on them made them new again. I would highly recommend a tour with her; no won't be disappointed!!
