Great food, so so siteseeing

We had the vegetarian selections which were all very well prepared and tasty. Due to the championship soccer match the same day, the route changed due to extra crowds and road closures. While the website tour audio clips informative, no one helped us know where we actually were, what we were driving by and seeing. We also missed 4-5 places completely on the shortened route and spent the entire dessert course stopped at the end point. The bus had a speaker system but no staff used it to actually “guide” us. Cool concept. Could have been executed better. Positive: we saw a lot in a short period of time; nice restroom facilities.

went with my partner(birthday treat) for 4 course lunch paid £180 for two which included 4 course meal, 2 glasses of wine each, 2 bottles of water which we had only one. tea and coffee which we did not receive. then when it had finished we got a bill for another £20 stating we had to pay for the wine, which i was in with the price, i refused to pay got in a heated argument with some horrible little server i wished i got his name(he should never work with this company again). it got that bad police was even mentioned, i said call them and ill show them was was suppose to be included in the price, the coach driver intervened, in the end my partner payed the £20 as i refused, total rip off, Birthday spoilt

Excellent lunch cruise.

Birthday on The Bus.

Classy trip. Food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend if visiting London. I went with my daughter for my bday. Far exceeded my expectations.

Disappointing, dull and dismal

Not exactly the gastronomic experience I was expecting. The two stars I have awarded are for the waiters who were friendly and smiley. Unfortunately, the food isn’t worthy of any stars and was a long way off “fine dining” as described on the Bustronome website. In particular, the vegetarian option was uninspiring, dull and boring. Starter - Aubergine Salad (three thin slices of aubergine) Main - Green Risotto (unidentifiable flavour) Main - Aubergine Parmigiana (three thin slices of aubergine - again!) Pudding - Classic Pannacotta with mango sauce The concept of serving an aubergine dish twice within the same lunch menu is an interesting, if somewhat unimaginative, choice. The lack of accompanying side vegetables was simply mean. After all what do vegetarians like? Answer - vegetables. The portion sizes for the vegetarian menu are minuscule and certainly not worth the £70.00 charged by Bustronome. The temperature on the bus was so low that I had to wear my coat throughout lunch and there was a definite whiff coming from the direction of the downstairs toilet. I stepped off the Bustonome bus feeling cold, hungry…and bitterly disappointed.

A fun afternoon

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The views spectacular. Great way to see the city.

Very nice lunch!

We had a very nice lunch with a tour round London in the beautiful winter sunshine. Very lucky the bus waited for us as we were running late due to traffic. Food was pretty nice and we enjoyed the wine pairing. Would recommend as an alternative way to see London and a bit of a treat.

Highlight of our girls weekend

I was on a girls trip with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law and I booked us lunch on Bustranome as a surprise. We were absolutely thrilled with the experience! I'm a chef and I was impressed by the flavours and the colour of the dishes. My sister-in-law thought the rosemary potatoes were the best ever (she's Irish so she knows her potatoes), and the mango Panna Cotta nearly made my mother-in-law weep with joy. They time the courses beautifully so we always had the chance to get stunning photos or eat something. The bus was immaculate and everything clean. Our staff were also incredible. Alex the chef was very kind, and I love kitchen chat, so we had a great time talking what it's like to cook on a moving bus. This was one of my favourite activities I've ever done in London! In fairness, the food was lovely but not perfect. For example, I prefer my salmon and lamb cooked a little bit less, but it's hard to put out one cook temp and have everyone think it's perfect. My family absolutely preferred the lamb at the doneness it was, so 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Would we do it again? Definitely! Will we rave about it? Absolutely! The only thing left now is to thank the servers, Felipe and Francisco, and get on Instagram to post the images.

Absolutely loved every moment. Went for my solo 30th birthday lunch. The atmosphere & staff were amazing.

Fantastic experience all round

We had a fantastic day today, delicious 4 course lunch of crab ravioli, salmon fillet, lamb rack and chocolate tart all beautifully presented in a relaxed environment.Happily accommodated dietary change for 1 guest with a tasty substitute. Portion sizes were substantial. Views along the way were spectacular. Friendly and professional staff. A must do for travellers and locals.

Must do experience in London

We had a fantastic experience today with Bustronome. Food was first class, the itinerary is wonderful and the service was excellent - Jackson really took care of us! Totally recommended, a very original way to spend a few hours drinking, eating and enjoying lovely views.

Memorable Experience which is Highly Recommended

Our sons treated my wife and I to the 4-course lunch experience to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. The staff (Lili and Junior) were friendly and helpful, the food was good quality and well presented, and the panoramic view of the London sights was excellent. It was a memorable experience on our special day and one that we can highly recommend

Sensationally fun experience + excellent food

Thank you for making our Christmas! We are currently between houses and feeling very sad that we were not having the Christmas we know and love! You, more the point your team gave us an experience we will never forget and in fact treasure!! Once on board everything was so much better that we hoped it would be! You have worked hard to make this work, the design of the glass holders and the magnetic mats for the cutlery was ingenious!Your team was amazing and very ready to join in the fun, but worked so hard to serve the food. We spoke to them all including the chef and they were delightful. Finally I have to mention the driver, no mean feat to get that thing through busy London streets but he was fantastic too.A great concept and a wonderful team. You deserve your success and we are very grateful to you for yesterday!!

We had such great hopes.....,

I feel bad leaving a "Poor" review, but I do believe in honest feedback. I booked the 4 course lunch for £70 per head and paid an extra £20 per head for "wine pairing". As soon as I booked it, I went online again and googled "Bustronome" so that I could get a photo of the bus to print and put inside my husband's bithday card. However, what I found was a lot of Groupon deals for the same trip that I had just paid full price for... But I put that to one side and thought, "ahh well, if it is good, we will go again with friends and use Groupon." But... after our experience onboard, I would not go back on board again and would definitely not recommend the trip to friends. Why? Well, initial impressions were poor - no one seemed to know which of the two buses we were supposed to be on. It all seemed a bit slap dash, but we put this down to it being a new business and eventually got on the right bus. The table layout was thought through, with an acrylic cover that held all your glasses in place. It was extremely hot (I know the company have no control over that) but the airconditioning unit was really loud and to compensate, they played really loud (and annoying) music to try and cover up the sound of the aircon. What with that noise and the noise of the diesel bus/brakes etc. we could barely hear each other speak. Our first surprise was that the "wine pairing" was not a pairing at all, but simply two glasses each of either red or white wine - and very small glasses at that! That works out at £10 per small glass with the first glass not being served until after the first course. So, with nothing in our hands other than a glass of water, we ordered a glass of wine each to have whilst waiting/with our first course. These glasses were small and... £10 each. Therefore, I have no idea what you gain by ordering the Wine Pairing package. If you were just going to order a bottle of wine - there were two options: one was around £55 and the other £65. It was very average wine and definitely not worth the price ticket. So ... then the food... It was okay. Not great. Not superb. Just okay. And VERY SMALL. In conclusion, when your lunch has ended up costing £100 per head, it really is way overpriced. An experience not to be repeated by me or my other half... not even on a Groupon deal. There are simply too many other places in London where you would get a great meal with wine for £200 per couple. And this was lunch, remember!

We had an amazing time the food was wonderful and staff were lovely especially our waiter Jay will definitely go again it was very hot day but the air conditioning coped ok 👌

Sight seeing gourmet lunch experience

Beautiful glass roofed coach with 4 course gourmet lunch. Wonderful way to see sights of London whilst having fabulous food. Staff were very friendly and attentive. All in all a really wonderful experience. Would certainly do again and will try the 6 course dinner experience next time I am in London. Well done Bustronome.

Fabulous experience

Just wanted to share my review on the experience I had with Bustronome on Sunday 22nd May’22. I have to say it was far more than what I expected. This was the best experience I had in London in years. Loved the concept , the food was so delicious. Fabio the chef he made us feel so welcomed and even explained the menu when we spoke to him. The lady who was serving was having smile on the face all the time. Not to forget the views we experienced were stunning. This is definitely a memory which will stay with me forever. I have already recommended this to many of my friends. Special thanks to Viktor for booking us in on a Sunday with such a small notice. Once again thanks to the whole team for Bustronome for the lovely experience.

Delightful!!

I have one tip for anyone considering this....Reserve, Reserve, Reserve! We had a very short time in London and as it was my birthday, we reserved a lunch and sightseeing trip on Bustronome. Once aboard, the waiter, who was very friendly, informative and efficient showed us and the other guests to our seats and after a brief explanation of the upcoming experience, it was onto the food and sights. The food was beautiful, fresh and superbly presented. In fact, during our visit to London, I'd say out of 4 restaurants we dined in, the food on Bustronome was our favourite. Portions were just right and as said, presentation was perfect. As for the taste....just reserve your table and try for yourself as anything I say couldn't come close to providing the credit it deserves. I was one of three guests (unknown to each other) who were celebrating a birthday and we were all presented with our dessert to include a little birthday candle whilst Stevie Wonder's 'Happy Birthday' played over the music system. Really fabulous touch which broke the ice as all the birthday ladies wished each other a lovely day. I have complimented our waiter and of course, Chef but I would also like to give a mention to the driver, because due to his careful driving skills and navigation of tight London streets, not one item was spilled or fell over. If I'm ever back in London, I'll make a dinner reservation as I would like a little bit longer on the bus as the time whizzes by during lunch. Eating, chatting and taking pics of the sights in what is a rather unusual dining setting guarantees a very enjoyable experience for anyone, no matter their age. Thanks Bustronome and staff onboard on 27th April, you definitely score a resounding 10/10 from me. I'll conclude my review as I started...stop considering....just Reserve, Reserve, Reserve!

Excellent experience 👏 👌

I booked this a surprise for my wife.Wow we both loved every second of it.The food was excellent and the wine pairings were also really good.The approx 2 hour journey round was really good with loads of major sites seen and the reaction from people walking the streets when they saw this posh bus with people eating and drinking was priceless.The staff on board were fantastic and we liked the fact that the kitchen was completely open.A real great way to see the sites af London and feel special.We felt it was reasonably priced for a special occasion and certainly won't forget this great experience.Maybe when go back to London we will try the dinner.

Unique amazing London Experience

We had a fab time and the food was out of this world. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny London day. Service was very good as well. I've recommended this experience to all my friends and family.

A really memorable day

Amazing tour round London for my birthday. The food and service were excellent. A lovely touch was bringing the dessert out to me with a candle in it and the whole bus sang Happy Birthday to me.

Some of our friends had a real ‘mare getting into London that day and our “man-of-honour” didn’t even make it! But despite all that, Manager Viktor was super accommodating and tried to wait for as long as they can. Ronnie was also fantastic, serving us delicious food prep’d by a fab chef. Lovely staff, great experience, highly recommend and we look forward to booking the evening gig at some point! #LondonBustronomeIsAwesome

An enjoyable lunch with good food & wine as the London skyline passes by

We decided to give the lunch experience a try one Sunday afternoon and had the most enjoyable experience with great food and wine and of course scenic London. Booking the tickets was nice and straight forward and we went for the lunch with wine pairing option. You can also choose to add extra's to your order such as bottles of wine etc which we did. Upon arrival the coach was already parked and waiting and so after taking a quick photo we were taken upstairs and shown to our table. With panoramic windows and a glass roof the upper deck of the coach was bright and airy and afforded amazing views in all directions. The table was all set with glasses held securely in a plastic holder and some canapes ready for us to enjoy. We were promptly offered water and the wine that we had pre-ordered. Once we set of the courses were served along with the wine pairing and the food was delicious and very well presented, like you would have in any top restaurant. The wines were also very nice and good quality. The service was amazing and very attentive throughout. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing way to enjoy lunch with wine whilst taking in the sights of London. Would definitely do this again and perhaps try the evening dinner experience. Thanks to all the staff at Bustronome for a fantastic experience and great friendly service. Can't wait to do it again soon.

Outstanding

Absolutely loved this was greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our seat but as it wasn’t full we was able to move to a bigger table with more space . Offered water straight away and instructed on how the guide worked . Every course was delicious the bus gets lots of interest as it’s driving around London I loved listen to the guide and following it on the map . Paired wines were perfect thank you for a great experience

Scenic London with lunch

Spent a,Saturday afternoon on the Bustronome. Absolutely great such a great way to see London leisurely whilst enjoying a lovely 4 course meal. Not huge portions but I was more than happy with the presentation and the quality. As part of the deal we had 2 cocktails and a glass of red and white wine. Service was great really attentive and everything came out on good time. Background music was fine not to loud and you could also listen to a guide giving the history of some of the highlights that we saw. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon well worth it and would definitely recommend for a present or special occasion.

Not an experience I'd like to repeat

Not easy to eat a meal on the top deck of a moving double decker bus without feeling quesy. I was glad when it was over TBH. Handy way to see London though, shame that loud party music on the bus and the constant lurching movement made the experience less than enjoyable

Lazy and slow paced top deck tour with palette-tickling food.

As city centre bus tours go, this has to be one of the most lazy and unhurried, yet it still covers the must-see essentials. The bus arrived on time to the minute, but boarding took a little while as the host sorted out the booking names and details. The top deck tabled seating area was fully glazed, the glass clean (good for the camera), and the seating intimate, but not too crowded. Each table had an ingenious glass and bottle holder, and the table surface was magnetic so the cutlery stayed put! The four course lunch arrived with perfect timing, such that the final coffee was finishing as we neared journey's end. That said, the food, while very good, was a bit on the minimalistic size. The portions were not unlike 'taster menu' offerings, small, perfectly formed, but leaving one wanting more! Perhaps the only real fault was the ambient noise level.

Amazing experience

We had lunch on the bus in July 2021 and it was brilliant! The food was great and our host was lovely. The views from the bus were incredible and we’d do this again in a heartbeat!

Birthday meal

What a brilliant experience this is! We went for a birthday meal and what a fantastic meal it was! The food was delicious, cooked by a French chef / the service was superb and the sights were spectacular! We would all highly recommend this experience to all!! And we will be back to try out the nighttime ride!

Great Bus... Awful Food

A quirky experience for a birthday treat... and not a cheap activity at that... and it actually pains me to leave a poor review... It would have been terrible... but my guest thought more of the experience than myself... perhaps he was just being kind as it was his gift! Anyway... here we go... The bus looks good... the weather as stunning... all aboard.... and off we go!!! Some guests had wine straight away.... and, even though we had bought the "paired wine" service... we had water... we were supposed to wait two "courses" to get a glass of weak white wine... should have either bought wine not paired with lunch... or bought even more on top of the pairing... so water it was - and that tasted better than the wine! The actual journey goes at a leisurely pace... and it is enjoyable (though the "guide sticks" didn't work for us. Cold canapes were on the table... absolutely fine. First course... Tepid Soup.... and that really is being generous... it was cold... and not in a good way! Next up... the fish "course".... a piece of cod the size of fish finger.... one piece of celery... and some mashed celery.... actually tasty.... but barely warm. Ahhhh, the white wine.... yeuch! Next up.... Chicken. Two small pieces... a mini square of rice.... and.... the red wine.... yeuch! Cue the birthday music... chocolate cake for all... some with candles in for those celebrating... and an order for tea or coffee.... our drinks never appeared!!! Again I say.... the bus is great.... the views, on a stunning winter day, were fabulous... but the "meal"... nouvelle cuisine at it's worst.... meagre, cold portions. Maybe we were there on a bad day... but this experience cost exactly the same as an evening at another famous landmark with champagne cocktails, a full bottle of fabulous red wine, coffee and some beautiful food. The idea might be better than the actual finished product... but, for me... it's a NO! Grab a tour bus for the sights (we might just do that next time) and find a better place to eat... trying to combine the two appears to be the worst of a tourist rip-off.

Lovely Treat

My daughter and I had lunch on the bus. We did not expect too much quality from the food - it is on a bus after all! BUT the food was restaurant quality and delicious. Victor was our waiter and was fantastic - the right amount of service without being intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Don’t even bother

I attempted to book an experience with Bustronome, but staff were rude from the outset, which really put me off. Wouldn’t recommend.

Fab 4-course lunch, and a great way to see London.

I took my husband and my 9 year old son as a birthday treat for hubby. The bus was fitted out really well,and there were some great little touches. I loved the ear pens, it is an amazing way to listen to commentary on the various points of interest along the tour. The fact that you can tune in when it suits you is fab, as I dislike normal guided tours, this was so different. It worked for my son as well. for the same reasons as i stated. The food was amazing, really great presentation and portions. The staff were friendly and service was good My only downside was the food for my son, I paid 40.00 for him and he had macaroni cheese with a piece of chicken and the same pudding as us. which don't get me wrong he enjoyed, I just think food for a 9 year old 40.00 is a little steep. I have just realised from the bustronome website that they do tell you in advance what the menu was. Damn I wish i would have looked when booking, just so I could have prepared my son! I would go again, it was a great way to see the london sights, Maybe I will leave my son at home with family next time.

Fabulous 4-course lunch on a luxury coach travelling through streets of London

This was one of the nicest ways of spending a lunchtime with my visiting cousin and combining a 4-course meal with sightseeing! The coach is purpose made with a fully glass roof and fabulous air conditioning (we had booked the lunch on one of the hottest days in London and worried whether we’d bake in the bus, but it was very comfortable) and great views. The food and wine pairing also fabulous 👍 thoroughly recommend for couples, friends and there are double tables and a couple of tables for four - fabulous experience! Need to pre-book 👍

Great lunchtime experience

We booked a 4 course lunch on the Bustronome and had a brilliant time. The bus was fitted out to a very high standard, better than we had expected, and the food was also top notch. Service was excellent- friendly, professional and very efficient. We’ve been on a London bus tour before but this was the best yet - good food and good fun. Thoroughly recommended

DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS

From outset alarm bells were ringing Our journey started 30 minutes late as traffic was heavy, Would have been good if member of staff was at collecting point to reassure you that you had not missed the coach should you have arrived after planned departure time. Food not to our liking,and only having a choice of one meal (its that or nothing) not good. Cutlery provided for the meal was definitely not good considering the "price of the experience" Views from the bus were good ,but air conditioning system was not up to dealing with a hot sunny day. Waiting staff were nice and friendly, but there were certainly "no extras" on offer Overall very disappointed with experience terribly, terribly, overpriced

Disappointed

We missed our excursion because of transportation delays from the airport. I spoke to a very accommodating gentlemen he was willing to either have us meet the excursion or reschedule for us. But when I called back the other person was rude. We could not meet the excursion but wanted to try to reschedule. The person told me he would have to call me back he was helping a customer! I guess I'm not a customer and no call back. Even a call back to explain they couldn't do anything would of been acceptabl . This was not their fault but I'm a customer too
