Emma, our Incredible tour Guide

London itself is a wonderful experience, but with Golden Tours, it’s a whole other way to explore. But it wouldn’t have been possible without our wonderful tour guide Emma. She was funny, kind, and added a personal touch and humor to our tour experience. She used childhood mementos and jokes to keep the conversation flowing and entertain our group. She talked to our family the most and we formed a special conversation with her. She taught us many ways to enjoy the city and life itself. And based off of that, she does her job in the best way possible!! She was a joyful light !

Amazing tour & even better tour guide (Jack)!

We had an amazing tour from start to finish, Jack our tour guide was so funny and informative, I went on with my husband and I aren't usually big on history but today I couldn't wait to see more as he made it so fun, great sights, would recommend anyone visiting London to give this a go.

Missed tour

No one showed up at the pick up point. We did not find the bus, and no one contacted me regarding the trip to find out why they did not see us. They do have my phone number. Please let me know if you can refund our money. Thank you.

Very nice trip. The guide gave many interesting anecdotes and insights into the history of London, with a fun and lighthearted tone.

Never Showed Up!?!?

Guide was there but after waiting 45 minutes, he advised the whole group bus wasn't coming and we were entitled to refunds. I damn well better get one.

Brilliant

4 English ladies took our Australian cousins on this bus tour. The commentator was Andy & he was very informative & entertaining, quickly picking up on the fact that my elderly sister is a true Cockney & weaving her into his presentation. The driver was amazing, squeezing the bus through seemingly impossibly small gaps. Due to the time of year, the sunset during the second half of the tour which kind of added to the experience. Can’t fault it at all.

The bus tour was lovely, a lot to see in an evening. Very useful for those who like walking around. It settles the scene for orientation. The audio guide by Andy was excellent. Not only educative but with great sense of humor.

Great Tour of London

Highly recommend this bus tour that passes by some of the best sights to see in London. The views were lovely at night and our tour guide Andy was funny and entertaining and very knowledgeable about the area and all of the landmarks along the ride.

Fabulous tour with Jack!

Jack was the best tour guide! He had amazing knowledge of the sites, but he also had a great sense of humor and personality to make it interesting and fun. The evening tour was a good choice because the views of the sun setting over the Thames are fabulous! We enjoyed this tour so much and are glad we added this onto the end of our first day in London.

London by Night - with Amazing Andy and Marvellous Mustafa

I am from India. I’ve been to many cities and have been on the hop on-hop off in multiple cities. But the London by night tour that we took yesterday has to comfortably sit atop amongst all the visits this far. We had Andy as our guide and Mustafa as the driver. Both were remarkably warm. While Mustafa ensured the ride was smooth and pleasant, Andy kept us engaged with his unique and humorous narration of the city of London. Andy was on the mic through the entire 1hr 45 mins and to have that kind of energy towards the fag end of the day was extremely remarkable. We got a great overview of the city of London and it is certainly a tour that I would recommend. PS: the adjectives I’ve used to describe (Amazing) Andy and (Marvellous) Mustafa do no justice to their personality and their commitment to duty. Thank you guys for the wonderful experience.

Ninety minutes worth the money.

Our tour guide, Emma, is so friendly and cheerful. She was very informative of all the sights. She even shared her personal stories regarding certain places. She took our picture with the Tower of London background. Emma really gave meaning to the different areas of London. I can't wait to go back to Covenant Garden and visit more thoroughly. This tour is an easy way to see parts of London that don't have the big attractions.

GREAT EXPERIENCE - high recommend this tour

My 13 year old son and I had the experience of a lifetime on this tour. We had one night in London and this tour brought London to life. The super star was our tour guide, Emma. She is HILARIOUS, personable and concerned that everyone on the tour is having a great time. Her experience shines through compared to every other tour I've ever taken - she speaks to history that she has researched for decades, as well as shares her family's history within the historical context, which makes London feel so much more accessible. I will come back looking for Emma every time I visit London!!

Amazing tour guide

Our tour guide Jack was amazing! He knew the history of almost every building we saw, but besides that he was able to make funny jokes in between. I definitly recommend the London By Night tour. We had a great time!

Great experience

I was on a transit stopover for the night so headed over to the London Eye area to see if I could get on to a tour. I was looking for the usual Big Bus tour but encountered the Golden Tour bus as it was leaving. Tour Guide Emma was so nice and helpful, I got an online ticket and off we went. I enjoyed the tour and information provided. Emma has some great stories and fun activities, I laughed throughout the tour. The driver was good too (didn't get his name) and got us around the city quickly and safely. Well done to both of them!

A fantastic way to see London!

We loved our city tour by night. Jack was so interesting and funny and informative. We all agreed it was the best tour with a guide that we’ve been on. We felt like a friend was showing us around. We highly recommend this tour and if you get Jack, you will have a fantastic experience!

The tour was informative and fun - we got to see all of the major hits of London as we drove through the sunset and evening lights. The highlight was really our tour guide, Jack. We have done night tours all around the world and Jack’s sense of humor and knowledge of the city really made this one of the best we’ve ever done! Highly recommend the night tour and highly recommend Jack!

Emma's knowledge of the tour and ability to answer questions was great. I loved her humor. Dad was appreciative of her concern and patience when he needed to stretch. As well as her suggestion to sit by himself in the next row so he could stretch when needed. Highly recommend the tour!

Fantastic Tour - Emma is Wonderful!

Despite being windy and quite chilly, the open top tour at night was fantastic! I have been to London before but never saw all the buildings lit up and the city was so “alive” with activity ahead of Easter Weekend. Emma, our tour guide, was instrumental in making this experience so amazing! She is knowledgeable, energetic, very courteous with the right measure of humour! She is THE BEST! Thank you to Emma and our driver for providing us with a memorable experience!

Great tour - interesting and fun!

Had a great time on an evening tour with William and David. William was a great tour guide. He was very informative while also quite entertaining and funny. My family learned a lot of history and seeing the city lights in the evening was a fun experience.

This tour was absolutely amazing and our guide, Jack was phenomenal. He gave us so much information about the city and in such an entertaining way. It was a cool night but we got to see everything we wanted. It was a fantastic experience and we do plan to do it again.

Loved it!

Took my two daughters on our first night in London. A great way to get oriented and see spectacular views of the Tower Bridge and other sights lit up at night. We really wanted a live guide rather than a recording, and Emma was an excellent guide, sharing her knowledge as a native Londoner.

There was no option on this site for your nighttime tour with a live (not an audio) guide. When researching our trip to London, it was repeatedly recommended to NOT do any of the audio guides (because they don't always match what you are seeing.) The top recommendation was the Golden Tours live guide and I am so glad that we went to the trouble to find ONLY that. Mathew was so informative and kept the whole experience so interesting and entertaining. We are recommending him to anyone we meet here in London who is interested in a tour at night. It is magical to see London lit up at night.

Recommended to see London at night

Seeing the night beauty around city of London. Surely the almost 2 hour trip is worth it. Thought it’s the air and wind that makes it too cold

A great sightseeing tour

Could easily have been a 5 star review

The only reason I am giving a 4 star review is because the bus was a bit difficult to find, the address we were given brought us to the wrong side of the London Eye. All was forgiven once we did find the tour. Our tour guide Emma was amazing! The route the bus took was extremely fulfilling and the guide was light hearted while maintaining a steady flow of historical information. Would absolutely recommend.
