Phenomenal cast production of Les Mis

I have seen several productions of Les Mis in Washington DC and multiple times on Broadway. However the London show on 6/12/2024 I have to say that the cast was the most amazing that I have ever seen. It was so moving and the talent of that cast made this show the best of any and all I have ever seen. I am so glad that my daughter and niece got to experience their first viewing of Les Mis in London and with a cast of incredible voices.

Les Miserables magnifique!

Knowing the back story behind Les Miserables maybe wasn’t such a good ting leading into the performance. That didn’t matter. Once you sit down the sheer power of the performances take you back in time to a volatile time. The music and sets support performances of such quality you can’t help get swept up in the emotions created here. I just loved it.

Amazing show! Only recommendation is to screenshot your seat(s) from the theater website because the Viator ticket will not have it on it! Thankfully the theater was able to tell me which seat I was.

Best we have seen

We are fans of Les Miserables. This London performance was the best we have seen. The lead male vocals were outstanding. The lead female vocalists were excellent. The set was terrific.

10th visit to Les Mis in 39 years - by far Sondheim Theatre Mar-24 is at the bottom

Les Miserables is simply the best musical - Andrew Lloyd Webber tried - but Les Mis melody story and passion is the greatest. You cannot spoil - or so I thought. I last watched in Norwich Sep-22 with Nic Greenshields and Dean Chisnell - production and singing and emotions was true to the premier status this musical holds - all have seen Alfie and the 4 Tenors deliver this masterpiece. Alas the current offering was not sprinkled with any stardust. Living off another great orchestral offering and the genius of Mackintosh Schonberg Boubil the evening was great - however at the current level of production, a children's version may have made more impact. I appreciate Milan VW is new to the role however the interaction between Jean V and Javert was akin to Frankie Howard arguing with Rigsby - Milan is no tenor - a fiver at best! Lighting and stage - in Norwich which is a larger theater - the new graphics worked well - however at the Sondheim the spot was knocked off character a couple of times and the Javert death was over lit losing the effect completely. Expected way more from a Shaftsbury production. Costume - what was the blond wig for JV in the final scene!! The cast got a standing ovation and the large German man in front of me shed a couple of tears - if he had seen Colm / Ball / Boe / Allam / Ruffelle / Caine / Armstrong he would have had a benchmark and his tears would have been in frustration. Hope the cast grows together - however think the production will lose Milan in the summer if Butlins are running a Carry On season. Apologies for such negative comment - this will not be published - however this production really upset me and wasted a day of my life - sorry!

Best show ever

We saw this show for the first time back in 1993. It is still the best show ever. We were not disappointed. The theater is not too big so that seating is great even in the back. It was full on a Monday night and the acting is superb.

Out of this world

seats were perfect the wonderful cast and singing reduced me to tears. Tissues are a must Staff very helpful nothing too much trouble.

ABSOLUTELY SUPERB - faultless

Having not seen Les Miserables in London since 1986 (!), I took my 15 year old grand daughter to the current London production (as at December 2023) for her first time as a Christmas present. Well, what an experience for both of us. The performance (a Saturday matinee) was ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. We were both totally "wowed" by the cast, particularly Brad Barnley playing Jean Valjean in his West End debut - definitely an actor to watch out for the future!!! The set and staging, the cast and their singing and acting, the music and songs, the musicians and sound - all faultless. The theatre (Sondhiem) was a lovely setting, and we had a very good view from seats E23 and E24 in the Stalls. Worth the cost. There were even sufficient ladies toilets dotted around!!!

Must see!

The talent of the cast! I’ve seen many and this was outstanding, the acting and the vocals. The theatre was perfect and seats were comfy, with ample room. Seat L9

Stunning powerful must see show

From simply walking into the theatre to witnessing every powerful, impactful musical scene to being brought along in the journey between justice and mercy, Les Mis was a hit in every way possible. We loved it so much.

Definitely worth it

Amazing performance, all the actors worked very hard and definitely brought the story to life. The music was on point and staff was helpful.

Dinner and a Show!

We arrived in London that day. It was a great way to relax, get adjusted and enjoy a wonderful performance. The theatre was located next to China town, so we enjoyed dinner there afterwards.

WOW!

Absolutely fantastic!!!!! Front row seats. The musical score phenomenal, the performance top notch mind blown. Visit to London not complete without attending.

From dream to reality

This was a surprise anniversary present for me as I'd always wanted to go but never got around to it, until now !! A fantastic experience all round, the whole show top to bottom was outstanding and it was no surprise that there was a standing ovation at the end several times over. Would probably go agaion as ity was that good !

London Theaters Are Amazing!

Les Mis is a wonderful musical. I have seen it several times in the US. Nothing compares to seeing it in London! It was amazing!!

Go see it!

Outstanding music with a great storyline. The only negative for us is that we were seated way back in the lower section. There were a few parts in the musical where the set was high and unfortunately we could not see because of the balcony section.

Absolutely fabulous experience, I'm speechless. This was my first time to watch a show in live and I am so moved by the plays.

Amazing Show! Exceptional performers

Amazing show! The performers were passionate and really pulled at the emotional heartstrings needed with such a musical. Took my 15-year-old niece who had never heard of Les Miserables and it turned out to be her favorite musical of the week. We saw 4!. I have seen the musical multiple times and count it as one of my favourites. London's performance only added to my love of the show. The food and drink were a little pricey but it's pretty normal in theatres within London and to be expected.

Why are west end shows below expectation

It was just as bad as the last show I saw in london, and it did not expect it, being a classic but the actors weren’t up to scratch, and it felt very rushed. Took a friend who had never seen it and raved about the musicality so much and it didn’t come close to expectation. Eponine was the only character who fit the bill. But came too late. We left at half time.

Putting the miserable in les miserables

Very disappointed as this was a gift for my parents only to find out the tickets were invalid. The barcode on the ticket didn’t work and they couldn’t find them on the system either. They said we may of potentially been scammed by viator. Thankfully the people at the theatre were incredibly kind and helpful and believed my parents and let them have seats despite this issue. However, this situation had caused a great amount of distress and upset for my parents which could’ve and should’ve been avoided. I’ve attempted to contact the operators only to receive *surprise surprise* no response. I expect this will remain this way…..

Amazing!!!

Wow just wow. We saw the production in Cardiff. What a show. If you like the film then you definitely need to see it. Every character is fantastic. The singing voices are incredible. Well done to all involed in the production. Will definitely be going to see again.

Can’t miss show in London!

Best musical ever! The London case is exceptional. It’s the longest running musical for a reason. My husband dislikes almost all musicals but even he enjoyed Les Mis!

Sheer Brilliance.

This was our Seventh time over the last Twenty years that we’ve seen the show. What amazes us is the very high standard of professionalism through out the years, from the main characters to the ensemble. Vocally just sheer brilliance, pitch perfect with wonderful light and shade. Full marks for your Orchestra, who were exceptional. The music of Les Mis as always touches the emotion with its brilliant Lyrics. Here’s to the next time we visit the show.

Les Miserables

Incredible! If you only experience one show in London, this is the one. Fantastic set, the singing was sublime. Can't fault it. I'd give it 11 out of 10 if I could.

Next level customer support

I wanted to leave a review for the amazing show and the completely fantastic theatre team on the 23rd aug . I attended the show with my family but my 13 year old daughter took unwell in the show . The staff came immediately to help us . They ushered us to the bar area provided an ice pack and a blanket and supported us . My daughter had a migraine and needed to rest . My husband and son stayed in the show . The staff stayed with us and afterwards escorted out safely . They are so helpful, considerate , appropriate ! It was quite full on that day as someone who had uncontrollable outbursts was also attending and they were supporting her to enjoy the show too. They should be highly commended

Magnificent!!

Being inside that theater and personally experience all of it is the best highlight for me. my wife and I plans to see it again and get a frony seats

Not great and I have seen wonderful productions of this show

Diction no one can understand a word they say. Or subtitles. Plus huge groups of screaming teenagers thinking they are at a football match.

Brilliant. An emotional rollercoster & star performers.

I cannot recommend this production enough. It was absolutely amazing. I felt like I was part of the whole thing. The staging was perfect and so realistic. The whole cast were flawless especially the main character Jean valjean....he was breathtaking!! I cried and I laughed and although the time of the show was approx 3 hours (inc interval) it flew by. Massive well done and thank you to all involved in making this perfect show available for us to see. They were all just brilliant. Go and see it!! You will not be disappointed.

Must see

It was a mesmerizing experience!!! This was my very first west end show. I felt that I loved it even more than other broadway shows I enjoyed so much. Everyone was a top notch!

Great Show

Good show, but just be wary who you buy tickets from. I have always used TKTS who have an online portal and also a physical adress in the centre of leicester square. These guys are the real deal and most hotel conceierge will tell you the same thing. They also offer great last minute discounts the day before.

Beautiful

Simply amazing. Timeless story. Beautiful acting. Beautiful music. The set is so very well done. To top it off the theater is just beautiful

Les Mis still rocks!

Les Mis is one of our favorite shows. Seeing it again was a lot of fun…the last five minutes were amazing. The lead singer actually damaged his throat and they had to stop the presentation until they could find a replacement. But even with this unforseeable bit of trouble…everything went super well. Loved it!

Falls short of previous performances.

As usual magnificent music but sadly, in my opinion, the overall performance lacked the sharpness expected. This was disappointing as the show is now in its new home. It was still however a pleasant outing.

Still Excellent

Been decades since we saw Les Mis and we were not disappointed with this performance. All of the Actors did a wonderful job, and the actor who played Jean Valjean was exceptional. Hats off to Delfont Mackintosh Theatres as I made a mistake booking tickets from the States but they were very understanding and helpful getting my error corrected. We ended up in the Stalls, Row H in the middle which were great seats. We also pre-ordered drinks, but unfortunately you have to go upstairs to find them which made intermission a bit rushed. All in all one of the top 3 activities we did on our vacation and highly recommend it.

One of the best musical in the world

All show was incredible. Scratched in the seat all the time. And crying at the end. But not only. There is a lot of moments you feel extremely touched. I recommend it to those who are open minded to this kind of show.

Lost it's Power and WOW factor!!

I have seen this show many many times and this was by far the poorest production by far. There was no "heart" in this production and it seems to have been "cut" which makes following the story for first timers difficult. This is a young and quite "green" casting, some of which I am confident this was their first role in the West End. Would I go again? No. Overall rather disappointing.

Life changing

This was my first visit to a london theatre although I have seen various adaptations of Les Mis previoiusly. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic. The assistants checking covid passes outside to the usherettes inside were all very helpful and friendly. The show itself was brilliant. Previous comments have mentioned a lack of emotion, I can only say that I cried from start to finish. The acting, singing and orchestra were all world class. I can only define my experience as life changing. A big thank you to the cast and crew.

VIATOR is too expensive

The show is memorable BUT the price of the tickets we received from VIATOR are much much much to high. I will not VIATOR again in the future I pay the price for the best seats, but had seats that value about a third of the price I payed

Somewhat Disappointing

I have seen Les Miz before at the Sondheim but found this visit a little disappointing, maybe it was me but I didn't feel the emotion this time, some of that may have been because of other patrons causing disruption by moving around a lot, very distracting. The show also seemed to be more violent than my previous experience. I had a seat with a restricted view and despite reading up on this beforehand I was dismayed at how much I was unable to view, I am planning on seeing the show again next year in Cardiff and will ensure I have a much better seat. I have no complaints about the actual performances by the actors some were really impressive.

Amazing show.

This show was amazing, I have wanted to see the show for a long time as I love the film and the music, the theater was lovely, we were sat right at the back but it was fine. I would recommend everyone to go and see this show.

Wonderful show

What an incredible performance, loved every second from start to finish. Lovely theatre and had a great view from the dress circle. Can’t stop singing the songs ! Bravo 😁

A beautiful Production

The actors were wonderful! The theater is small and the stage is quite small but the show was fantastic!

Just fantastic

So been waiting for yonks to see this most remarkable, fantastic and brilliant performance and I wasn't disappointed it was so great with the acting and singing that it was mesmerising. Even that I seen the film version first which was fantastic and then the stage version on TV and still bloody fantastic I do think everyone in the theater where still stood fast with every song and acting like it was the first time seeing it.and I think everyone had there own emotional part or parts in the musical I know I did more than once. So all the cast you should be very proud of yourself to show us this performance and to do two shows on the Saturday wow. Also the workers in the theater you all looked cheerful and helpful and the what people need to see and not spoilt the day. Looking forward for another trip to the west end very soon.
