Faulty Towers The Dining Experience in London

Excellent, hysterical evening!

Went for my partners birthday. He loved it! In stitches from start to end, just like the show. As most reviews state food is mediocre, but edible. You are there for the experience, does not take away from the experience. Would highly recommend. They have Manuel, Basil and Sybil spot on. Brilliant evening!

Have a pizza ready to go when you get home

First and foremost, the performance is both authentic and funny. There is chaos in the dining room for 2 hours straight. There is improv in there too. My family were both amused and at times a little stunned by what they saw. The bad points - the food is deplorable, bordering a disgrace, you will send it away, but the entertainment makes up for it.

Great acting

The characters were excellent. The performance great. The food OK but very small portions. We had a great table central to the room so felt involved

Fun and engaging experience!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved how the actors interacted with everyone. The people at our table were fun and personable. The food was good. We laughed the entire time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see a show with British comedy and improv.

60th birthday celebration - couldn't Faulty it!

Fun afternoon, with reminders of all those memorable lines from the show. Lots of laughter from our arrival, so beware of Basil! The actors really brought the characters to life. Great afternoon's entertainment.

As Fawlty as it Gets!

Manuel's clowning, Basil's henpecked apoplexy. The actors have the characters down cold. They were very good at ad libbing with the audience.

Fawlty Towers - go for the performance

Unmissable for Fawlty Towers fans, a great evening. The bar staff on entry fully into the Fawlty vibe, hilarious antics from my favourite scenes during the meal. Manuel, Basil & Sybil faultless, I ached with laughter. We went as a couple and shared a table with 3 other couples who were all super friendly and chatty. Only not perfect, the food was average

A wonderfully fun afternoon

I took my mother for her 70th birthday and we both had a wonderful time. The atmosphere, the way the actors interacted with everyone and stayed completely in character was fantastic. The food was okay (but you are really there for the experience).

So Much Fun!

The Faulty Towers Dining Experience was SO MUCH FUN!!! Whatever the actors are being paid, it’s not enough. They were excellent as Basil, Sybill, and Manuel. The food was good (but it’s not really about the food). Be prepared to be part of the show, and to laugh a lot. Will be rewatching the series now.

A very funny evening

A very funny evening and good company at our table. The food wasn’t marvellous but it was OK. I would certainly recommend the experience to anyone. We had four Americans sitting at our table who had never even heard of Faulty Towers and they clearly hadn’t known what to expect but they really enjoyed the whole experience. A very enjoyable evening.

Brilliant!

Fantastic experience , loved the comedy and all the actors were brilliant! Food not so great but a really enjoyable show!

Maybe some new material

Could be funnier, but there was good laughs. Very innuendo heavy bawdy humour intertwined with classic moments from the show. Best joke of the night was when Sybil asked for a weapon from some amercan tourists. The 3 actors were very good. The maitre d’ was so odd and brusque he felt part of the act. I guess we can’t hear the theme tune and why it’s called faulty towers is because it’s not licensed to use. All in all quite funny with the main aim to embarrass guests etc Food is terrible in keeping with the show I guess

Joyous!

Excellent Cleese! Thought it was him! The cast was marvelous- timing, timing, timing-SO polished like a tight band - great use of props turning a table into a stage and the panties and the rat - under-the- breath one liners AND ad-lib - PERFECT!!!!!!

Sunday Show

Funny lines and reasonable actors but the set up of the room was such that it was hard to hear. Need to be in the right location or it becomes a bit disppointing.

Fun evening

Lots of laughs! Great time had by all! We were a group of 12 ranging in age from 30-70 and everyone had a great time. Food was better than expected too!

Very entertaining evening

The routines are very funny with some fantastic actors. The characters had all of the classic mannerisms, and the venue is small enough to feel part of the experience. The food was average, although perfectly edible. Go for the comedy rather than expecting fine dining!

I didn’t know what to expect as this wax a birthday surprise but as the evening expanded you were watching your back the whole time , you could imagine being in the recording studio when Faulty Towers was recorded . We got picked on constantly but boy did we enjoy it. Glad we went for the show and not the eating experience, it was adequate so overall thoroughly recommended,

Great show! It was funny from the beginning to end. Delightful evening activity. I would recommend it to British people to see their TV show come back to life.

Superb actors, small meal

We enjoyed the dinning experience, the actors are superb, they took the characters off brilliantly! The routines were to one end of the room, it needs spreading around more The meal was good, the soup starter was lovely and so was the cheesecake dessert The chicken main meal was nice if you got breast, I got a leg and there wasn’t much meat on it at all, the roasted vegetables were a very small portion

Hilarious !

I had never heard of Faulty Towers. Stumbled upon it when planning our trip and everyone questioned my choice. Mt husband and I laughed SOOO hard. I should have worn depends . Soooooo good .

Fawlty Towers birthday surprise!

Took our family for our son's 21st. We kept it as a surprise until we arrived, hoping he wouldn't notice the posters outside advertising the event!. A little after the start time, it all kicked off in the bar, very amusing. Drinks were very expensive! We were then ushered into the restaurant for the main event. Food was ok, just a basic set meal, nothing fancy. Basil, Sybil and Manuel were played brilliantly, so funny. The acts finished just before dessert, so a little earlier than I thought. Just beware, you may get picked to be part of the fun!

Fawlty Towers on a Steam Train

Absolutely brilliant, laughs start on the station and don't stop till you are almost back - food wasn't brilliant but we didn't go for that, we went for the experience and were not disappointed.

An Australian group has been performing "Faulty Towers: The Original Dining Experience" for 25 years. About 70% of the show is improvised so it's never the same twice. I had seen it before, but wanted to enjoy it again, especially as it moved to a new location earlier this year. Manuel was as incompetent as ever. He stood on the table to entertain us with a sing-a-long of "Y Viva España". Basil was our host, who could run a decent hotel if there were no guests. Sybil was busy trying to train Manuel. Polly had the night off. It was a fun evening. The food was decent, but not great. I enjoyed the butternut squash soup and the chicken. The vegan dessert was good.

FAWLTY TOWERS DINING EXPERIENCE

Whilst the immersive theatre experience was absolutely excellent, great acting and conjuring of the original ambience of Basil Fawlty’s Fawlty Towers Hotel, unfortunately the food was very mediocre. However as it’s all about the experience I only knocked one star off for the food. The menu was butternut squash soup (tasty) followed by a very small portion of chicken (or butternut squash en croute for vegetarians) served with roast butternut squash and parsnip, with not a green vegetable in sight, the puddings were not butternut squash based, so that was a plus.

Great experience! We will never forget this wonderful evening! The team are excellent, they are dressed up, talk and move like our dear and beloved characters. Some jokes and lines are taken from the series, some are original of the team. Watch out to get scornful looks from Basil, or Manual to mess up things around you...or with you! We had great lough! Tables are round, for 8 people, and we met wonderful people (table #7 rocks!). If you like the series - this is definitely something for you!

Hilariously funny!

Probably one of the funniest nights we’ve ever had. We laughed from beginning to end. The actors were superb and having watched Fawlty Towers again can really appreciate how well each of them captured all the personalities and mannerisms of the original cast. Definitely worth every penny!

Fun, friendly evening

Chatting and, of course, laughing with fellow “guests” of Fawlty Towers. Once the shenanigans began, a table of strangers came together in a hilarious shared experience.

Brilliant though the food was of Fawlty Towers standard.

The Fawlty Towers experience was brilliant with 3 superb actors. Everyone should go to it as they will have a really good laugh. Do not go though if you are expecting fine dining. The food is probably of the standard that you expect from Fawlty Towers Hotel. To me this did not add to the experience.

Made me realize how much I missed the show!

In order to be profitable, this show needs to have a certain sized audience, but with a half dozen fewer tables, more people could have been involved instead of just those mainly in the center of the room. Show was very, very funny & I enjoyed it a lot. Great job by the cast with voices, costumes, and the Fawlty jokes and behavior.

Funny show i highly recommend it ., however, I I had no idea this was based on an actual tv show called faulty towers.. had I known I would have watched a few episodes before attending this show. .. the food was not bad but services could have been better

What a laugh !! From start to finish !! Very very funny !! If you liked the tv show you will love this !!! The actors were great !! Me and my friend were picked on !! But very funny !! Great show. Poor diner.

Great show wonderfull acting. Dinner was poor. No service for drinks. Acteurs are realy lookalikes.Even the way they walk and moved was simular to the real Falty Towers. The voices were very loud and good to follow for us Dutch.

A good day out

The actors were good and funny and made the day. By having a good laugh. The whole dining experience was new to me but throughly enjoyable and well worth the money.

Couldn't hear and poor food.

On one of end tables so couldn't hear half of it as most if the acting was at middle tables. Couldn't hear if the actors faced the other way. They needed microphones so everyone could hear everything! What we did hear was funny. Food was awful. Luke warm soup. Dry chicken leg with sparse amount of vegetables and gravy. Didn't bother staying for dessert as we couldn't hear. Only 2 people left on the table when we left. 1 couple left when the main course came!

What a superb "show" this was. The actors were all superb and their script and adlib was 100% spot on. If you're a Faulty Towers fan, this will definitely not disappoint.

Excellent birthday celebration

We booked this experience as a surprise for 2 of our friends big birthdays and we are so glad we did. We didn’t stop laughing from the minute Basil, Sybil & Manuel entered the room. If you enjoyed the TV show then you’ll love this!

Absolutely hilarious! Both myself and partner loved it, side splitting comedy. It really did exceed expectations, I had read a few reviews beforehand and was a little sceptical due to some saying the food was not great, but we both really enjoyed all courses. As for the entertainment, well you could not help but feel you were right in the middle of an episode of the classic sit-com. We laughed so much, the actors were incredibly and looked so much like the real stars. What a wonderful idea for someone to come up with, a great day out and would definitely recommend!

Immersive experience 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We experienced this on tour at Northampton Town Hotel. For a couples joint birthday experience. It was a fabulous evening. The actors were amazing and handled everything so well. I'm sure it helps if you're a Fawlty towers fan because the show is littered with classical scenes from the series but tweaked to fit into the show, involving the crowd. It's an immersive experience where you feel like you're literally in the restaurant at Fawlty towers. Sybills singing was phenomenal. The ending was just superb. I enjoyed the food and they catered for my intolerance. Although I did learn that I'm not gluten intolerant, I'm just intolerant! Thanks Basil 🤣. Great evening, fabulously organised and email communication great. Highly recommend for Fawlty Towers fans.

Silliness on full display...

Our small group which included a 10-year old who had never seen the show had a blast. With a be of preface, my grandson got the premise of the show and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

The Cutest Manuel Ever

Such fun. The cast were so entertaining. Great experience. I didn’t know if sharing a table with people we didn’t know would work but it really enhanced the experience. Fab customer service. Good food. My husband even got a Happy Birthday!

What did you expect to see from a Torquay hotel window?..

This was SO much fun. I thought it would be awkward with basic food. I am quite shy (I know, why did I get tickets then?...a gift) But I was wrong. In fact we laughed out loud. And we wanted a second pudding, not because we were hungry, because the vegan chocolate brownie cheese cake (with orange) was delicious and I do not eat puddings usually! Doors opened at 7pm. You hand in your coats/cases whatever and get a ticket. You give your name and the evening is explained to you. The fun started here. You can go to the bar and get your drinks as there is no drink service at the table so you have to get up and get more drinks but most purchased a bottle of wine for the table. There is jugs of water on the table. Then Basil comes in to advise of the seating plan. But its not that simple, ha! Manuel and Sybil join in with the table arrangements. The team use snippets from the episodes and seem to ad-hoc too, very funny. The team even had witty responses to hecklers and clearly worked out their audience. They also did Birthday/Anniversary announcements which was lovely. Dont want to spoil it for you so I will just say, we LOVED it and the food was LOVELY. We ate out that day as not sure it would be about the food, but great all round. Even the drinks were not over priced. Would defiantly recommend and do this again. Maybe one of their other shows. You don even have to be a Faulty Towers fan. Great location (plenty of hotels if you can not get a room in the hotel they are playing in) great acting and great food. Glad we did it....Basil Fawlty : Next contestant, Mrs. Sybil Fawlty from Torquay. Specialist subject - the bleeding obvious. Ha!
