Great Day Tour!

Really great tour and guide. Visited some cool places I wouldn’t have gone to otherwise. Only downside is that you get about 1.25 hrs at Dover which isn’t enough to explore the entire park and cliffs.

Relaxing guide, great views

The most exceptional feature of this tour is how our guide, Kevin, relaxed everyone from the beginning by assuring us that if anyone needed a few minutes more at a site, we could take them without fear of being left behind. He, in fact, promised that no one would be left behind. That changed the usual tour experiences so much for the better. We felt relaxed even though we zipped through the Canterbury church. We focused on a nice meal overlooking the English Channel at Deal and saw so many great views of the White Cliffs of Dover. Even had time to walk almost all the way down to the water’s edge. We had some fog, but it lifted enough to give us some great views. Kevin was also the driver and managed through some tight spots. We really enjoyed the small van experience. We’ll be looking for the GO TOURS logo for our next tour. Highly recommend this company.

SW England

Loved seeing the huge Canterbury Cathedral and the town of Canterbury. We ate in the coastal town of Deal and had a fabulous meal of fish and chips. Then onto the white cliffs of Dover. It was still an enjoyable tour and the rain lasted the whole time but we made the best of it.

Challenging

The White Cliffs and tunnels are historic. It is somewhat hilly so the hike is challenging for elderly. I didn’t see any transport for handicap. Canterbury is a dirty city. Disappointing. Did not go to cathedral.

Short and relaxing day trip

Short relaxing day trip out into the cliffs, with free time to explore in Canterbury. It was rainy that day which made it a little inconvenient but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Great day trip to Canterbury and White Cliffs

Great tour! Visited London with my husband who was there for meetings. I decided to do some sightseeing on my own. I booked GoTours day trip to Canterbury and the white cliffs. Kevin, our guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining; and the bus was clean and comfortable. Had time to wander about in Canterbury and Deal. Despite the rain, the cliffs were worth the stop.

Great tour! Our tour guide was fantastic! Stopped in Canterbury, Deal, and Dover, all of which were great stops! The Canterbury Cathedral was amazing! And the town of Canterbury was beautiful and quaint, we loved it!

An enjoyable day

We enjoyed Canterbury and especially the White Cliffs of Dover. It was nice to have a small group and our driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Fish and chips lunch in Deal was great.

Wonderful Trip to Dover/Canterbury/County of Kent!

Our tour guide, Kevin, was fantastic! He gave us tips, tricks, and history not only at our destination but all along the way too. We learned so much about London and the smaller English towns we passed through in Kent. Kevin had recommendations for shops, food, etc every where we went!

Go Tours is the company for UK Day Tours!

I took two one day Go Tours on a recent trip to England. First was day tour to the Cotswolds, and the second I took based on experience with the first, was Canterbury and White Cliffs of Dover. Both were excellent - small groups, we were sent out to experience sites by ourselves rather than follow a talking guide, buses were excellent with large windows, guides very knowledgeable and personable.

Canterbury Cathedral and White Cliff of Dover

We liked the smaller tour group- no more than 16 people. The van was clean and comfortable. Our guide, David, was friendly and knowledgeable. The White Cliff of Dover were hard to see due to fog and our angle of walking on a trail parallel to the cliff. Canterbury Cathedral was beautiful. An audio headset is important to learn about the different aspects of the cathedral. We had lunch in Deal. A stop at a quaint village for a short time would have been welcomed. Canterbury was a bit touristy. Again, we were in rush hour traffic into London for about one hour returning back. A dinner in a small village might have been a good choice to avoid some of the traffic.

Amazing trip with beautiful views and exceptional guide.

This was an amazing excursion to the coast of England. Our guide Justin was fantastic. He offered lots of bits of history along the route along with lots of laughs. The cliffs and Canterbury were gorgeous and had a delicious lunch at the end of the pier in Deal. Would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a day trip while visiting London.

Great family trip

Amazing tour

Great tour! Canterbury cathedral is not to be missed, aw inspiring, very moving. In Deal take a moment to take in the English Channel. Oh and the White Cliffs of Dover are just beautiful. Kevin was a great guide & very knowledgeable.

Do not miss visiting Canterbury and the White Cliffs of Dover

The two day trips we selected with GO-tours were both excellent choices during our recent trip to London. The bus was comfortable and the safety concerns were carefully presented prior to departure. During the Canterbury & the White Cliffs Tour of Dover we learned through Glen in a way that was both educational and entertaining. We also felt the time spent at each stop was well thought out and not rushed. While visiting the White Cliffs the sun came out as Glen had anticipated and was an exceptional way to conclude the highlights.

Nice day

4.5 stars. Cathedral and Canterbury were very nice to see. We stopped in a small town of Deal which was nothing and a waste of time. I wish we could have spent more time at the cliffs and the castle at the cliffs as we did not get to see the castle except from the bus Glen our guide was very knowledgable

Cracking Cornwall 5 Day Tour

The Go Tours Mercedes Van was clean and comfortable. Jamie our driver was so relaxed and chilled he was very informative and shared interesting information, facts and myths of each area. Jamie was a safe and considerate driver and played appropriate music given the age group and the countryside we were in. The group of 16 people were similar ages and all very friendly. We visited and explored so many different and beautiful places. Saw some amazing scenery and took loads of pictures. The hotel accommodations were excellent. Great combination of 3 beautiful places

I was planning my trip to Canterbury and accidentally came across this tour. The price was very reasonable so I booked it and I'm so glad I did. You get to visit Canterbury (there's enough time to visit the cathedral as well), coastal town Deal, which I've never heard about before so it was a very nice surprise, and finally the White Cliffs of Dover. You wouldn't be able to squeeze that much in one day, unless you rented a car which was not an option for me. Our tour guide Kevin was amazing, very experienced, funny, always happy to help. As someone working in tourism, I can highly recommend this tour!

Transport Service Falls short

This is more of transportation svc rather than guided tours. The driver who operated a van and took us to 3 destinations without any accompanying tour guide. Stop at Canterbury for 2hr and lunch at Deal for 1.5hrs was excessively long. The visit to the White Cliffs of Dover was disappointingly short, lasting only 40 minutes. This timeframe was inadequate, especially considering that the one-way route to the lighthouse alone required approximately 40 minutes. As a result, some elderly passengers refrained from walking down to take photos of the white cliffs, fearing that they wouldn't have enough time to return to the van. Furthermore, I was taken aback by the behavior of the driver during the journey. He made sarcastic remarks about PRC and found it amusing. Although I'm not from China myself, I found these comments to be distasteful and offensive. It is unacceptable for someone working in the tourism industry to engage in racism or belittle people from other nationalities or countries in an attempt to assert their superiority.

A day away from coronation!

Chris was a fabulous tour guide! We had the best time despite the rain! But loved the quaint town of Canterbury and Deal was a cute seaside town! Best food at kings Head!! Thanks Chris for making a long day fun and informative!!

Memorable Canterbury & the White Cliffs of Dover Tour

I spent a fabulous and memorable day with GO-Tours. I am a solo traveler (female) and wanted to visit Canterbury Cathedral and the White Cliffs of Dover. I found GO-Tours offered a day trip out of London. I’m glad I chose this company! Pick up /drop off site is close to the Tube station and located in a safe area. Drop off is also at a reasonable time. Ample time was given at each stop and I never felt rushed. I was able to enjoy my tour of Canterbury Cathedral and still had enough time left over to walk/visit a few shops in the city. The next stop was lunch in the coastal town of Deal. Enough time was given to enjoy lunch and to walk around and visit the pier. The final stop was at the White Cliffs of Dover. Enough time was given to soak in the beauty of this area and to visit the gift shop. We returned to London as scheduled. This tour was well-paced! Glenn, the owner, was our Driver-Guide and he was awesome! He was engaging, professional, humorous and personable. Thank you, GO-Tours for helping me check two items off my bucket list. I will definitely book with this company again! I plan on booking the Cornwall & the Cotswold’s Five-day Tour in the near future.

A great day at the seaside.

We really enjoyed our day trip to Canterbury, Deal and the White Cliffs of Dover. Kevin our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and kept as entertained throughout the tour with his humour and knowledge. The small bus was wonderful allowing us to travel along smaller, quieter and more picturesque roads.

Beautiful pause from London

It was an excellent day trip, wonderfully organized, with long time in Canterbury to enjoy both the city and the cathedral and plenty of time in Deal for lunch and a little bit of exploring. The guide, Greg, was very knowledgeable, gave us lots of information in an engaging way. The guy has a lovely sense of humour. I will surely chose FoTours again!

White Cliffs of Dover, Deal and Canterbury.

Our second tour in 2 days with Go Tours, and once again we were delighted with the service we received. David was our driver again, and just as knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining as the day before. We felt blessed that we had him 2 days in a row. Each place we visited was unique and special in their own right. I loved them all and can't say I had a favorite, although I can most definitely say that of all the bakeries I visited while in England, the little bakery in Deal, named Al's Bakery, was my favorite! I wish I could have taken one of everything home with me. Go there and grab a cheese and onion pasty...sooo delicious! In fact, grab a few, one isn't enough! But back to the review...I highly recommend using Go Tours for your sightseeing. You'll feel like you're going on a trip with friends, one of whom is very knowledgeable, and you just get to sit back and relax while they do all of the driving. And trust me, you'll be thankful you're not driving! Thanks again for such a great day, David!

The weather forecast says there’ll be a rain in the afternoon, so our guide David swap the afternoon itinerary to the morning so we won’t be miserable when visiting White Cliffs.

Rocky Start....Smooth Finish

The trip overall was very lovely. It started rocky. I arrived early and waited inside since it was raining heavily and it was cold. i nearly missed the bus since i thought we were meeting inside and then being brought to the bus. The bus was nice and clean. The first stop was Canterbury. Its a small town with lots of shops. We were given about 90 minutes to explore. It costs 16 Pounds to enter the cathedral. it's very peaceful there. After Canterbury we took a drive to the coastal town called Deal for a lunch stop. There are lots of choices. i went to a little place called Sea View. The fish+chips with a fried sausage were amazing. The fish was so fresh. There is also a little ice cream shop 2 doors down called Deal Beach Parlour. I had a small cup of salted caramel ice.After our lunch we headed to the White Cliff. Make sure you're wearing a good pair of walking shoes., It's about a 20 minute walk to the point to see the cliffs. there is a light house about 40 minutes away. our tour guide told us that if we tried to go to the lighthouse then it would be cutting it close to meet back for the bus. The weather cleared up and it was clear. the views were amazing and we were able to see Dover castle. the only idea i would recommend is for the driver to get a dry erase board to write the time on when to come back to the bus. In Canterbury, one of the guests was about 30 minutes late because she misunderstood the time,

Nice trip indeed

Very well-organized trip, three places all worthwhile to see! Canterbury cathedral and Dover Beach in particular. Driver doubles as tour guide, doing good job in both roles. Small group of us, about 13? Nice conversation throughout the day, never bored. Only complaint is last stop at Dover Beach was given less than 1 hour, far less than 80 mins as promised here in brochure. Never enough for its spectacular beauty, please improve! Other than that, perfect trip! I recommend it!

Perfect day in Kent

Blessed with wonderful weather the guide/driver was very nice and had lots of info to share. The trip offered ample free time at each stop to explore the city/towns at ur own pace.

Very good tour with superb guide!

Glen was a very good guide tour. He not only give us ahead about the time delay that cause by the road but also adapt the plan to help everyone satisfy and have time to travel in to each spot. Also when we travel back, he finding the best route to make sure everyone can go back home fastest as he could. The only thing that I would say is a point that could improve is the music and the seats in the van. The seat is kinda curvy and not really support tall guy like me. Kinda got a bit of uncomfortable sitting, but for single day trip it's ok.

Wonderful day trip

The trip was wonderful. We covered Canterbury, Deal, Dover and a village called Chellam. The driver cum tour guide explained nicely the history of all the places.

Excellent day tour in Kent, tour guide Glenn was absolutely amazing. The white cliffs was spectacular with amazing top views.
