The tour was amazing and he had a ton of great stories. Highly recommend for any Beatles fan. Abbey Road was fantastic.

Great tour for Beatles fans, and those wishing to explore London alike.

Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable. He did a great job of making sure that the tour stayed together and that his presentation was loud enough for everyone to hear! You shared great insight. Additionally, the tour showed us very many nice neighborhoods of London that we might have missed otherwise.

Richard was very knowledgeable, easy to hear and keep up with. He waited until we were all at each point of interest before delivering the information.

We were disappointed in the way it was organizsed.

I contacted the tour operator twice by Email telling him I use a cane and I’m pretty slow walking. He assured me that would not be a problem that the whole group will walk slow. I was also told that the group only moves as fast as the slowest member. He never waited till we caught up with the group to start talking. I don’t think the tour operator even knew that we had to drop out before getting to Abbey Road. It was heartbreaking.

Would do it again!

Richard, the tour guide, is passionate and knowledgable about the Beatles, with great stories and pictures he shares. The tour covers the timeline of the Beatles from their first concert in 1961 to their last in 1969. Fun to see and walk across Abbey Road!

Excellent Beatles London Walking Tour

I'm a life long Beatles fan and always knew if I ever made it to London, I had to do a Beatles walking tour with Richard Porter. Well, I finally made it to London and had my tour last week! Richard is terrific. He's extremely knowledgable and has a wonderful way of explaining all of the iconic places that we visited...Abbey Road, MPL offices, Trident Studios, The Beatles Apple Offices, and more. Very glad I had the chance to do this tour and I highly recommend it!

A great experience

Thank you for a great experience yesterday. It was my Beatles-mad daughter’s birthday treat and she really enjoyed our day in London. Hearing stories as you visit the places once frequented by this iconic band make it really special. I learnt new things about John and Yoko and loved imagining their meeting at the (what was) Indica Gallery building. Our photo at the Abbey Road crossing will always be a great memory too!

Tour With The Guy Who Literally Wrote The Book...

A must for any Beatles fan visiting London is a tour with Richard Porter...the man who literally wrote the book on The Beatles in London. I'm sure there are many wonderful other guides, but if you want all the answers to all your questions, Richard is the guide to lead the way through London. (Yes, I bout his book at the "Beatles Coffee Shoppe" at the Underground station close to Abby Road studios.)

Great tour for any Beatles fan. Adam, our guide was full of interesting ideas and information. We moved as a group, and everybody was very friendly. Highly recommend

A great learning experience even for the most obsessive Beatles fan!

As a pretty obsessive Beatles nerd making his first trip to London, I found this tour to be VERY satisfying, to say the least! Richard absolutely knows his stuff and densely packs the walk with a lot of great landmarks (mostly in and around Soho, ending with Abbey Road) and stories. This is a very fast moving tour, and it's understandable why -- there's only so much time you can go through this stuff. I recommend saving your questions for the end of the tour. Just as a heads-up -- to get to Abbey Road, the tour requires that you hop the Underground at Green Park Station to St. John's Wood. (And Richard does an excellent job of guiding you step-by-step, so if you've never used the tube or other mass transit before, you will get very clear instructions on what to do, and he won't leave you on your own to figure it out!) This might be an issue if you cannot use escalators, as it doesn't appear that Green Park only has lifts and escalators. If you're on a wheelchair and the lifts are out of order, you'll need to be prepared to find an alternate way to get to Abbey Road to resume the tour. Next time I'm in London I will definitely be checking out Richard's other Beatles tour, In My Life (I believe it's called).

Highly recommend this Beatles tour!

Our tour with Richard was very good. He has a wealth of knowledge about the Beatles and has included a lot of personal experiences in his tour. The different locations throughout London was awesome - our family really enjoyed seeing all the different places and getting to walk in their shoes. Our group was quite large (over 60 people), so at some points it was a little hard to hear but over all, we were very satisfied with the tour. Highly recommend!

Excellent tour

Richard is a wonderful guide and we sincerely enjoyed his tour. He speaks loud and clear so everyone in the group can hear. He took us to so many places that were important to the Beatles as a band and as individuals. He also sprinkled in some history of other British sensations such as David Bowie and Queen. We marveled at his ability to wrangle our group and keep us together every step of the way, including on the tube. This tour was a highlight on our first visit to London.

Awesome Tour!

An Absolute blast! Great guide- funny, a lot of stories I hadn’t heard before. We were a large group of over 20 and was concerned at first because it was large but, he handled it very well. Showed us some great spots that you would have just walked passed without knowing. Well worth the small price.

Great fun for Beatles fans

My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed this walk through Beatles history in London. It started in Soho and ended in St. John's Wood. Among the highlights was the studio where Hey Jude was recorded, the former Apple headquarters where the famous rooftop concert took place, the art gallery where John met Yoko, and of course Abbey Road. We had a large group, but our guide Beatles expert Richard Porter did a good job making sure we were all together and has a powerful voice. There was lots of time to take pictures.

Disappointed.

We arrived early at the destination and could not find the tour guide. We waited a half hour after our scheduled time and still the person did not show up. So we did not complete this tour.

Richard was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highlights were Abbey Road, Savile Row, Caraby Street, and Soho.

It was a wonderful...

It was a wonderful experience. The many things that I haven’t read or heard from TV docs. The little details made the tour truly interesting. Keep the Beatles memories of the 60’s Swinging until our joints and bones don’t allow it no more. Magical mystery Tour brought me back to the days when everything is clean and fun. Just walking around London with the Beatle sights. The guide knew everything. Going to the Abbey Road crossing was fun. Weather was good for the walk. It was fun.

Great tour!

Great tour, be sure you are up to walking for 2 hours! The tour guide is fun to listen to and knows his Beatles history! My husband loved seeing all the points of interest and was very impressed. For the tour price you get a lot of fun history and see locations we would probably not find on our own. Fun tour!

Felt Like an Insider

Richard Porter is involved, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The personal touch, with his connections to current affairs, and with his involvement in past and present projects, made it feel like you were an insider. My favorite moment will always be Abbey Road, everybody helping get pictures in the middle of the road, but visiting where John met Yoko, going to MPL and 3 Savile Row, all were electric moments for true fans.

Richard was goed op de hoogte van recente wijzigingen/aanpassingen bij zijn al jaren lopende rondleiding die echt de moeite waard bleek. Hij bracht de rondleiding levendig, doorspekt met Engelse humor. Enige nadeel is dat passerend verkeer zorgde voor het missen van flarden van zijn verhalen.
