Great way to get to Conwy

Friends and I always hop on-off this to Conwy and back when on weekend visit to Llandudno. On a sunny day, sat on top deck, it's the only way to get there ad back!

Great way to see Llandudno

On a day out to Llandudno we were just walking along the promenade and saw the hop on, hop off bus parked ready to leave. Chatted to friendly staff who informed us of cost, length of trip etc we decided to hop on. Sat upstairs on the open air double decker bus and had a lovely drive along the front and onto Conwy. Places of interest were pointed out on the running commentary and people could get off at various stops. Ticket valid for 24 hours too which is good value. Really enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend

Ride of the summer

First time seeing Conwy Castle, scenery and history is magnificent. 45 minutes with commentary at significant points.

It’s good to see the sights of Llandudno and Conway castle friendly driver and staff shame that we didn’t stay longer or would have gone again .

Llandudno trips out

Went on the Hop-on-hop off bus tour we did stay on as the weather was not good but well worth it and enjoyed the ride around .. Afterwards we also went on the small bus to go up the Great Orme this was well worth it got off at the top and enjoyed a few hours there then the bus came back this also was also a nice trip

Nice way to travel without the stress of driving or parking

Excellent way to travel a little further afield without having to drive. Even though it was raining, we enjoyed the tour. We jumped off at Conwy which was lovely, and gave us chance to see the castle. Lots of lovely little tea rooms. The commentary whilst travelling gave some interesting facts and information about the various places, buildings etc. Buses run often too. I would however consider paying at the bus stop at the pier if you're over 60 as you get a discount...I pre booked via booking.com and paid the same as my daughter. Enjoyable nonetheless.

Good fact finder tour

Great way to see the sights with a good clear commentary. Only drawback I found was the seats upstairs were hard and uncomfortable

Had a lovely time on the tour bus had a tour around first then went conway after the driver very friendly telling everyone about the history of conway highly recommend and definitely go again

Great day on the hop on hop off bus tour

Booked our large group of children on this hop on hop off bus tour between Llandudno and Conwy - had most of the top floor and did a full circuit before we got off in Conwy and visited the castle, park and town centre. Staff at booking, bus stops and onboard were really helpful

I think this is the best way of getting to know an area new to you. There are City Sightseeing Open-topped Double Decker Bus tours operating all over the World. If there is one where you are visiting, it is to be recommended. It is good value for Money and most such Tours last about an hour. Your ticket can last for 24 Hours, meaning you may hop on and off during that time. If you use this Service in one City and keep the ticket, then use a City Sightseeing Service in a different City, there is a 10% discount on offer. Just two points to remember if you sit on the top Deck of the Bus, beware of the Weather, including the Wind if you wear a Hat, and look out for overhanging trees. Major Credit Cards are accepted.

Brilliant trip

Brilliant tour took 45 minutes if you didn't get off we stopped off though very informative for us adults our 5 year old didn't seem too fussed just loved waving at the passers by we got off in conway wish we had come earlier to have more time to stop off more places 14.40 per adults 6.50 up to 11 year old 35.50 family of up to 5 and can use the ticket for 24 hours from purchase and well worth the money

Do not miss this trip

What a brilliant trip. Bus team are fabulous we had a dog and wheelchair but was helped at all stages. Just brilliant well done and thank you to the guy who helped us he was amazing

Great Orme Explorer. Lives upto its Name!!

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Llandudno (staying at the excellent Dunoon Hotel - Review to follow) and earlier today we took the Great Orme Explorer from the Pier Bus Stop/Terminal to Great Orme and back. It was £16 (£8 each) well spent as the staff (both at the Term8nal and the driver) were first class as was the small bus and the professional service provided. As such, strongly recommended.

Hint

Would be handy to know that there are a limited number of seats on the Great Orme trip and that booking is essential

Open top bus ride

Definitely one to do if only to do a round trip around that end of Wales. Two adults is £14 each for a 24hr ticket which we purchased and got off in Conwy, spent a lovely few hours there then caught the bus back to Llandudno. The area commentary while on the bus is informative and knowledgeable .

Its a MUST

Always recommend going on one of these buses when visiting places. Well worth the money and you see things in other places you may not see when walking around. Got to be done👍

Rip off

Absolute Rip off £28 for two people to go around on a tour. They don't even have a proper tour guide it's automated on speakers which you can hardly hear. Save your Money don't go on it. Don't even try and get on the great orme explorer. You have to book in advance you carnt just turn up. They won't even let you on when the people haven't turned up so the bus are running half loaded.

misleading purchase information. MUST print tickets - £40 wasted

Beware! information given about online is misleading! We were advised to book online for travel the next morning. But the receipt then states that tickets must be as physical printed copies (this is not always possible when on holiday as most of us don’t pack a deskjet in our luggage!!!!!) this was not evident at time of purchase! They advertise free cancellation but when I applied for this (the intention been to pay with cash at the bus instead) we were refused as it was within a 24hr period of travel. £40 wasted Dispute using numerous times in the past will never trust this company again

A must do in Llandudno!

A must do when visiting Llandudno - great tour of Llandudno and the surrounding area including a tour to Conwy - lots of stops so treat to hop on and hop off with an excellent audio guided commentary! Super value and friendly driver.

Hop on an open top bus!

Great little 45 min informative tour around Llandudno. Beautiful day, so we sat on the top deck. Great views and the commentary was clear and informative. £8 per person good value. Buses clean, staff friendly & helpful.

Lovely way to get around

Lovely polite staff, we had a lovely tour of the surrounding area taking in Conway, plenty of stops you can use to do some personal exploration The commentary was full of lots of detail which was well worth the money

A great way to see Llandudno and Conwy

When you are in Llandudno and are looking for a really enjoyable activity then the activity that I'm about to review is the activity for you and that activity is City Sightseeing Llandudno Hop-on Hop-Off Bus Tour. I did this activity yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it especially in Conway which is a really nice place. I would recommend this experience

Learning about the pastel colours of the buildings on Lundudno seafront and where the name Alice came from for Alice in wonderland. The audio was very clear and provided lots of information and the driver was very helpful and polite.

A must if in the area

A very worth while adventure to both capture an insight knowledge of the town of Llandudno and Conwy and view the area. Very good commentary throughout the journey. Recommend that you hop off in Conwy and explore this magic little town and catch a later bus to continue your journey. Enjoy

Great City Tour

We had a ride on the Llandudno Bus Tour. It was very informative and all in all, a fun trip. The bus that we rode on was openly covered which helped out because it was partially raining.

Visit to Comwy

Taken by default as the cable cars were not operating due to windy weather - very happy with this trip well worth the money got off to see the Palace and the smallest house in Wales. Loads of great views of the harbour and plently of places to eat and drink. Would go again.

Highly recommended

Really enjoyed my experience. Staff really nice and helpful. Some great views in and around Llandudno and Conwy. Pre recorded guided tour was really useful. The hop on and off was a great way to see both places and a round trip takes about 50 mins As a tour driver myself I would definitely recommend.

Best way to learn about a new place.

As ever City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off tours as fantastic. Well trained and well informed staff who are cheerful and chatty.

A really enjoyable bus journey.

This bus takes a brilliant sightseeing route from Llandudno to Conwy and back again. A commentary plays during the journey pointing out interesting pieces of history and heritage. The views are spectacular. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Will ride another of their Llandudno buses!

Fun day enjoyed by all

The ability to accomodate a dog who had not been on a bus before and hop on and off as we pleased. We initially used the bus to go to Conway and back to the pier area. After we finished we hopped back on to go back to Pebble Cottager in Craig y Don at the other end of the promenade by the paddling pool.

Terrible!!!!

My partner and my mother took this tour to go to a particular stop. Bus didn’t stop at every stop on map and not all were announced. We stopped where we thought we should be so asked driver the number of the stop on the map. He told us it was 6 when it was actually 7 the number we wanted. We realised within 100m but was too late by that point. When we got off bus I challenged the driver who didn’t know the stop numbers and had bad attitude. Can’t find website or number to complain too.

Great day out

Great day out with lots of opportunities to see different places. The tour was very informative and really interesting. Great for all ages.

Lovely trip

Although I purchased the tickets using my mobile, I still had to walk to the Pier to have them printed off as the mobile ticket wasn't actually valid until printed. so we unfortunately wasn't able to get on the bus at stop 2 where our accommodation was. Luckily I was fit enough to do the walk while I left my wife perched on a bench. We still enjoyed the bus trip though.

Informative bus tour

Very informative, shorter than expected. Can use the same ticket within 24hours. Caught the bus by the pier in Llandudno. We went to Colwyn bay, spent a few hours there walked round the castle walls, saw the smallest house in Britain then came back to Llandudno. Various stop to get off in between. We took our dog with us too. Would recommend. There are 2 buses that run, an open top and one with a closed top but open sides.

Pretty rubbish

Did this on a Saturday doesn't matter what day you do it its overpriced and pretty boring. Couldn't hear the commentary. Use the local bus to Conway save a lot of money.

Overpriced, £27 for 2 people.

It cost £27 for two of us to have tickets that lasted only 24 hours and were told the buses were only hourly. While we enjoyed being on the open top and seeing the sights and castle, we only used our tickets once and it felt like we had really overpaid. There didn’t seem to be just a one-off journey option, £13.50 each seems ridiculous.

Not exactly to plan

I booked this hop on bus for my parents who were staying in Llandudno at the weekend. It was easy to book the tickets online but as soon as I did it said they MUST be printed out and handed to the driver and there was no option of using the phone for the ticket. They did not have any access to a printer and worried they would miss the 10 stop tour departing at 9:30am (which stated on the ticket) When they arrived at the ticket office the driver was able to scan the barcode from the phone so all the worry could have been avoided massively if this was explained when purchasing the ticket. Not only that they were then told that the roads are closed for the weekend festival and will only be going to 1 stop (the castle) and back so not exactly a tour of Llandudno. The only thing that made the journey better was the driver and the staff at the bus who were very helpful. My parents would have saved themselves £26 by purchasing a normal bus ticket to the castle

Nice time spent

Had booked tour from viator and it was good and covered almost all the areas of Llandudno. Though started but late then it mentioned on the site

Not as advertised

Usually the city sightseeing tours are good but this one wasn’t so good! The tour was fine it’s just the buses didn’t run every twenty minutes as scheduled but one an hour if you were lucky! Also I bought a combination ticket but was told I would have to pay £7.50 for the great Orme tour bus! This was fortunate because I took the tram instead

Great service

2nd time we that's meself and me 2 wee dogs used this service reasonably priced £7.50 go up to the summit via the bronze copper mines where we enlightened and waited for the next mini bus to go summit and got another mini bus on the way back down again our driver on Saturday 25th September was also telling us a bit of history

Bus tour.

This was a lovely trip sat upstairs on the open top bus. There was a running commentary on the way round. We got off in Conway for a look round then enjoyed a slice of home made cake with a drink near to the harbour. Back to Llandudno . This trip seems to run most days at regular intervals and the tickets are valid for 24 hours. You can also get a discount on another trip if the ticket is still valid.

One stop worth stopping at

Over priced as only one stop worth getting off at very disappointed for £ 25 for 2 could have had a taxi for cheaper or caught train or bus. But used many of these buses in other cities and they have been cheaper and more stops with interest usually getting on and off at every stop

Beautiful views.

Really enjoyed the city sightseeing trip. Took my 7 year old son who loved sitting at the top of the open top bus. Beautiful views from start to finish.

Really good value for money

It delivers exactly what it says on the can. Hop on hop off deal with a nice commentry, really warm and sunny day when we went, so that was plus. Got off at Conwy, did a bit of a walk round, then returned back to Llandudno.

Great way to get an overview

Used this to get an idea and some information. Did the tour once and then on the second time stoped in Conwy and walked around. Got back on on. The next day did one more round tour on the top of the bus as it wasn’t raining!!!

good value activity for the family

24 hour ticket makes this a cost effective activity. the open top buses are clean and the staff friendly. The on board commentary our bus was a bit choppy, but was interesting never the less
