Livorno Private Shore Excursion to Pisa and Florence

Amazing adventure!

What an experience!! After the cruise line cancelled our excursion we decided to book a private one on our own, turns out it was the highlight of our vacation! Walter, you were our best tour guide!

Best Driver!

Our driver, Giovani, was great and took us to great places. He was very knowledgeable and knew where the best spots were. He mapped out a route for us to hit all the highlights. He was at the port and easy to find. This private tour was the best of our trip.

Highly recommend!!

Christiano was an awesome driver and guide!! He got us in and out of Pisa before the crowd got crazy, and then took us to Florence where we spent the day. He was great with our family and showing us points of interest. He also took us to eat where we had the BEST pizza I've ever had in my life!! Pizza in Rome could not measure up! He made sure we stayed on schedule to get back to our cruise ship on time. It was a great day, and I highly recommend!

Christiano was great!

Christiano was awesome! He was very attentive and made sure that we saw the best sights! He was always close by while we did different tours and even helped us get a little extra time to tour the Duomo before getting us back to our ship in plenty of time. I would definitely use them again for another trip to the Pisa/Florence area!!

Spectacular experience

Communication was incredible. Ignazio, our driver was spectacular. He was personable, knowledgeable and flexible. He even suggested his favorite ice cream store in Florence which was an amazing end to the day. Will definitely use the service when we return to the region again.

Great Excursion!

Ser-Vito was a great guide!! We loved Pisa, Florence and getting to see David. Also took us to his favorite local cafe which ended up being one of our favorite meals the entire trip. Even made a special stop for my daughter to shop, he was a great guide and it was a fun trip!

Excellent, but too quick!

Giovanni was an amazing driver and guide. He gave us interesting insights and showed us places off the tourist path. He was extremely accommodating and kind. We’d work with him again!! Wish the day was a bit longer, but we accomplished most everything we’d set out to do.

Incredible Experience

Amazing way to see a lot in a short amount of time. Our guide, Mauro, picked us up and had us back at the cruise port on time. Along the drive, he shared the history of the area and was very knowledgeable and personable. He booked a reservation at a local restaurant in Florence where we got a taste of the regional cuisine. Traveling with my mother-in-law who has some mobilty issues, Mauro, went out of his way to ensure that she was comfortable and enjoying the tour. He went so far as to stop at a pharmacy and went inside with my aunt to ensure there was know language barriers so that she could get what was needed. I highly recommend this tour and if you can book Mauro specifically, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Mauro and Lucca Limo for this incredible experience.

Vito really made this trip!

We didn’t have much of a plan going in but our driver Vito made sure we saw key elements and highlights. We didn’t get tickets to see David but Vito made a last minute change to take us to a winery in Tuscany for a wine tasting that was out of this world and was a fantastic end to a terrific trip.

Great way to get the most out of the day

Our cruise stopped in Livorno and Francesco met us at the cruise terminal. We were thrilled to get to Pisa briefly then onto Florence. It's a fleeting visit but taking the our got the maximum we could out of it. We really enjoyed Francesco's commentary and the kids enjoyed his stories of past sporting endeavors. He dropped us off right in the middle of Florence and ensured we were orientated to get the most from our tour. We appreciated his depth of knowledge of the area.

Fantastic

Laura was super informative and very eager to give us the best experience possible ! We had a great day and this is the only way to visit multiple areas in one day which includes Pisa , wine tasting , fantastic lunch and a tour of the main attractions in Florence ( Firenze )

Amazing experience!

We absolutely loved our tour! Our guide gave us great (quick) advice to go in and out in Pisa. Then we went to Florence and he took us to his favorite pizza place and sat with us for lunch. Ordered all the favorites. Then let us shop on our own. Wish we had more time in Florence but had to get back to the cruise.

Great day in Florence/Pisa thanks to this Tour Operator!!

First off, the communication from Julia @LuccaLimo for our pre tour planning was top notch. They answered all of our questions within hours each time I contacted them by email. Our driver, Antonio, was absolutely terrific. He provided us with his extensive comprehensive knowledge throughout the tour that was fascinating and enjoyable. He went out of his way to make sure that we were on the correct lines for the Michelangelo museum since we had previously pre-paid our tickets in advance (based on advice from Julia). This company, its personnel, it's very clean Mercedes passenger van were nothing but first rate. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great guide in a beautiful area

Mauro was a very knowledgeable and safe driver. He was able to tell us a lot of information about each area we passed and made reservations for us for lunch. We saw all that we wanted to see in a shorter time than he had allotted for and as soon as I messaged him, he was on his way to pick us up early. Very clean comfortable van. Was definitely worth the money spent to make sure we got back to the cruise port on time and still had enough time to see everything we needed.

Absolutely Amazing!

What an amazing day we had in Florence and Pisa! Sabrina was our driver and she was so accommodating and full of knowledge! She made sure we were able to see as much as possible in our short stop there! The company had great communication throughout the time from booking up until we finished our excursion! We highly recommend this excursion!

Florence/Pisa tour

We had a memorable day with our driver and tour of Pisa, The museum with David and enough time to shop. He was knowledgeable and offered history of the area and suggestions of things to see and do as the day went on. He allowed some down time to look around at each of the sites we visited. Galli Cristiano was our guide.

Great way to see the sites and learn the history

This was a great way to see the area in a short period of time. Our tour guide, Laura, was right on time to pick us up and drop us off at our cruise ship port in Livorno. She was very knowledgeable about the area and the history and helped us decide what we wanted to see for sure (and what we had time to see). She took us Pisa and then to several of the sites in Florence. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see the original David statue because it was the first Sunday of the month which is a free museum Sunday (so the lines were too long.) But she took us to many other interesting and historical sites.

Amazing and caring tour guide!

Our tour guide Laura was amazing! She was an incredible tour guide and very caring as well. My husband injured his leg a few days before the tour and she went out of her way to find ice for him at every stop. She asked us about our specific interests and made it possible to visit so many places on our full day tour. We did not think we could fit in a winery tour and tasting, but she made it happen I cannot say enough wonderful things about the tour and our guide!!!

Wonderful day in Florence

We had a wonderful day with Giovanni! He took us around Florence, made sure we got our tickets for the Academia Gallery and Duomo tour, and that we were there on time. He took us to all the other important sites, showed us where to have lunch and had some pizza with us at the end of the day at Sophia Lauren’s restaurant. Gio could not have been more considerate or helpful. Perfect day, highly recommend going with Giovanni!

Great way to see Pisa and Florence

Cristiano was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable about the area and was able to personalize our visit to see what we wanted to see and getting us back to the ship on time. His recommendation for a restaurant to have lunch was excellent. Cristiano also provided cold water bottles.

Great trip.

We had a great time. Enjoyed the leaning tower. It was important to get tickets separately and to do it early as we had a big group. Set a calendar reminder when you are however many days out and they open up ticket sales. Maybe 20 days out?

Worth every penny!

Laura made our experience so perfect in every way! She was there to greet us with a warm welcome when we departed our ship and was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about every detail of our adventure! Both Florence and Pisa are beautiful and amazing and even better than the pictures! Laura made us feel relaxed and we never felt rushed. We learned so many stories and lots of history about the region from Laura. This excursion was the best one we took during our 8 day cruise! We can’t wait to return to the Tuscan region some day to get to enjoy the beauty, culture, shops, restaurants and history more thoroughly. Wonderful memories were made!

A great day in Florence and Pisa

I highly recommend this excursion. I found the company easy to work with and excellent at communicating with me as we planned how to spend the day and secure tickets to the Accademia. Our driver guide was Mauro and he was excellent. The van was clean and comfortable and he was provided a lot of information about the places we went. He knew how to best use our time and gave us a good overview of Florence as well as some free time to sightsee, shop and grab a bite to eat. He was very helpful at the Accademia - they were running behind and there were large crowds and it was pretty chaotic. He got the tickets we had preordered and stayed with us until we were in the correct line to enter. We really appreciated that. We ended the day with a short visit to Pisa. I was so glad we did! Seeing the Leaning Tower is so much better than I imagined. Overall this was an excellent day. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

Great day in Pisa and Florence

Christiano was our driver for the day. He gave us lots of options, and scheduled driving to meet our scheduled museum times. He was very diligent about getting us to Lisa and Florence and to see what we wanted to all while being on time. He had water and umbrellas for us when it rained. Very attentive and just a joy of a person to talk to. Highly recommend

Great Private Tour and Guide!!!

My family and I booked our private tour to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We wanted a personal experience at our own pace. Giovanni our tour guide and driver met us at the port and custom tailored the day to meet our needs. He was very personable and professional. We quickly felt like he was a friend and made several recommendations to get the most from our tour. I will be recommending this tour and Giovanni with confidence.

Brilliant way to see Florence

Absolutely fantastic. Our guide Nikoletta was charming, knowledgeable and super accomodating. She drove us right into the centre of Florence, skipping past all the crowds and even arranged coffee and lunch for us at some of her favourite places. Highly recommended!

Great Day in Rome

We had a great day with Cristiano. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked but that was because we were on a cruise and had limited port time. Rome was about 75 minutes from the port. Cristiano made sure that we saw the sites we were interested in and accommodated all 6 of us.

Fun

We didn’t make any specific tour reservations in addition to driver, just wanted to freewheel, but in retrospect, wish we had made them for the churches in Florence and Pisa. Still enjoyed roaming the streets n Florence and seeing the tower.

Our driver, Cristiano was terrific. He was so helpful and informative and was very personable. We loved the tour of both Florence and Pisa. Really one of the best ever!!!!!!!!!

Excellent Private Tour!!!

Every step of our private shore excursion was well thought out and professional. We were picked up directly outside of our ship and promptly driven away avoided the large crowds traveling in ship excursions. Our driver and tour guide Giovanni was extremely knowledgeable and easy going. He is fluent in English and allowed us to make the most of our day celebrating my wife’s birthday. I would definitely recommend this tour and Giovanni (Gio) for any tour. Well worth the money.

Excellent in every way!

I must say, this was an excellent tour for my husband and I. Our tour guide was Alessandro, and he was absolutely delightful. He picked us up from the cruise terminal and had a sign with our name. The vehicle was a beautiful, clean Mercedes van. It was raining that day, but Alessandro provided umbrellas to make sure we stayed dry and comfortable. After our time in Pisa, we went to Florence where the tickets for the Uffizi Gallery and the Galleria dell'Accademia were waiting. The beauty was breathtaking. Alessandro was very informative, polite, and so charming and kind. He also took us to the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and Santa Croce Square. We also went to Michelangelo’s Square Lookout. Our pictures are beautiful and our memories will live with us forever. Thank you, Alessandro and Lucca Limo for making our day one that we will remember for years to come!

Private Shore Excursion from Livorno to Vericiano, Lucca, Florence American Cemetery and Pisa

Valter went above and beyond to create a unique expierience for my wife and I. Valter not only took us to the places that we requested to visit, he acted as a private sleuth to try and help find any relatives still around and the place that my Great Grandparents once lived. He then took us to the Florence American Cemetery to pay respects to my Great Uncle who died in WWII. Our trip to Lucca for an authentic Itialian Meal was fantastic and the ambience was perfect. Our final stop was in Pisa that wasn't even scheduled, but was a unexpected surprise that he was able to provide. I would recommend Valter and his company to anyone that want's to travel to Italy and is in need of a Private Tour. Thanks again to Valter and his Company for a memory that will live with us for eternity.

Everything we hoped for and more!

We booked this tour for our family of 8 for a port stop in Livorno. From beginning to end, Luccalimo tours exceeded our expectation. We received an email confirmation immediately with an informational guide about Pisa and Florence and the company worked with us via email to develop a customized tour that fit our interests. They also helped us make advance reservations for entry to L'Accademia which was extremely helpful. We received a final confirmation the day before the tour with the name of our wonderful driver/guide, Roberto, and instructions on where to meet him. Roberto was on time and waiting for us when we got off the ship and had a car seat ready as per our request. He had incredible knowledge of Pisa and Florence which he shared with us in each area we visited. Roberto had a wealth of practical and helpful suggestions to make our visits to Pisa and Florence more efficient and economical. We took the suggestion of the company to enter Florence by driving through the mountains and Chianti vineyards which afforded lovely views of the Tuscan countryside (as opposed to just freeway views). Roberto would take us to each place we were interested in seeing and give us free time to explore on our own, while keeping in contact with us through text or WhatsApp, and he would be waiting for us at the agreed spot when we were ready to move on. Roberto had a wonderful recommendation for lunch as well. The best part was that Roberto shared some of his own personal olive oil pressed from his olive trees--a special souvenir to take home and remember our perfect day in Florence and Pisa! We really couldn't have asked for an easier or better experience.

Our guide covered a large territory to allow us to get the most of the one port day in Florence. He even recommended a local place for lunch that was great.

Wonderful experience

Alessandro was our guide for a full-day tour to Pisa and Florence. He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The tour was wonderful and a true joy because of the quality of the guide. He was also punctual and very helpful with my dad and my aunt who are mobility-challenged. Our van was comfortable and clean and new. I highly recommend.

<p>Mauro picked us up at the dock and we headed off for a great day. We first stopped in Pisa and saw the leaning tower, taking the usual pictures pretending to hold it up. We then traveled to Florence, making a quick stop at a small business that makes wine and olive oil. We got to see the equipment and process which was really cool. We bought a small bottle of their olive oil to bring home with us. We arrived in Florence and drove up to a high observation area that looks down over this amazing place! We spent the next couple of hours visiting the museum and the famous bridge along with doing a little shopping. Mauro was amazing and told us so many interesting things about the cities and country. This is a great way to get a lot in when you have only one day!</p>

<p>When we our group consisted of 7 adult/young adult extended family members disembarked in Livorno our guide, Giovanni, was waiting in the terminal building. We were escorted to his spotless minivan and were quickly on our way. Giovanni learned our names and remembered them throughout the day. He spoke perfect English because he had lived in Florida for a number of years and his wife was American. Giovanni was easy to talk with, funny and informative. We went to Pisa first. He dropped us very close to the Leaning Tower and we spent about an hour absorbing the atmosphere and taking pictures. We met Giovanni where he had dropped us and were on to Florence. On our way into the city we stopped at Piazzale Michelangelo for a spectacular panoramic view of Florence. Great photo op!!! We then drove into the center of Florence. Everyone was hungry so we stopped for lunch and gelato at places Giovanni recommended. We were enjoying conversation with him and invited him to join us for lunch. After delicious pizza, salad and gelato we walked through Piazza Signoria to the Ponte Vecchio. We discussed a pick up point and time with Giovanni and we were on our own for a couple of hours of shopping and strolling through Florence. We again met up with Giovanni and arrived back to our ship without any worries. During the course of the day we were offered bottled water which we took advantage of because it was very hot and sunny. Everyone in our group thought Giovanni was awesome and we enjoyed our day in Pisa and Florence. <br/> As a note..we did not choose to climb the Tower or visit museums in Florence. I believe those options can be arranged in advance with the tour company.</p>

We are a family of 4 w/ a 4 year old...

<p>We are a family of 4 w/ a 4 year old and a six year old. Our guide, Giovanni, met us right at the port. From the onset he was engaging and provided us little facts about Pisa and Florence. He even engaged my very talkative son about his favorite video games and kept him entertained. He gave us enough time in Pisa and when we arrived in Florence, he dropped us off right in the center of the city where we could walk to the important sites. The only thing I wish we were given was a map of Florence. Other than that, if you have kids with you, I would recommend this private tour. It's the best way to go.</p>

<p>We were 6 women and our driver Giovanni was fantastic, having the best English of all our guides. As he had lived in the U.S. for 14 years, it was easy to converse and compare the 2 countries. He gave us so much background information on the 2 cities, it was really interesting. We were mesmerized by the beauty of the Leaning Tower and wished our timing had been such that we could have enter the basilica, but we had to move on to Florence for our appointment at the Accademia museum to see the real David. Though it still took about an hour to get in even with reservations, it was well worth it to see the David. In fact when we saw the copy later in the square, it didn't have the same appeal.</p>
