Full day Shore Excursion to Florence from Livorno with tasting

Great tour. Sabrina our tour guide was A+!

It's a long day but worth it! Sabrina, our tour guide was excellent and very helpful. She even provided us with a highlighted map of Florence with the main sights. She explained the best places to go see and the best walking route to take. Also in Pisa, since I was having issues walking and the trolley that takes people back to the parking area wasn't working, she was able to get me a taxi to return to the parking lot where the bus was waiting to drive us back to the ship. . By the way, instead of dropping us off in Livorno to grab the bus into the port, Paolo and she took us directly to the ship, making our return so much easier! I hope that if you do this tour, you get Sabrina as your tour guide and Paolo as your driver. 100% recommend!

Florence for a day

This was my first trip to Florence. Could not ask for a better tour guide- Igna. He was attentative to our need. As four of us did not prebook admission to Accademia to see David. He helped us with the purchase plus showed us the door to quick admission. He also looked after another couple who wanted to climb the Duomo Tower- showed them where to purchase the tickets plus showed them there. The tour we picked did not include the tour guide walking with us through all the various sites. Yet Igna put in extra effort including folding our city map in a way for easy reference plus all the iconic attractions highlighted. He is thorough and takes pride with his work. We also learned about the city's significance and its history while being driven from Livorna to Florence. Both meeting point and pickup point were easy to locate. The service we received from Igna that day made up for the rain we experienced that day.

Delightful Florence

Our tour guide Sabrina was a delight, funny, informative, attentive and helpful. Our driver Ricardo, was excellent and helpful. I loved the tasting at the Food Market and Sabrina’s recommendation for a typical Tuscan lunch. She had provided everyone with a marked map to all the sights and the meeting point. It was through her fault at all for me getting lost on the way back to the meeting point. The map was well detailed, unfortunately the street signs were difficult to find and in many cases too hard to read, as they were faded. I did ask for directions from a nice young man at a cafe. I had walked right past the meeting point. Also, I use a rollator and it’s not easy to do on the uneven cobble stone streets, without ramps down and off the sidewalks. Also access to buildings for people using mobility devices is difficult, as again not many ramps.

Wonderful tour through Viator.

Absolutely wonderful guided tour. Our guide, Sabrina, was the most delightful and entertaining guides we’ve ever had. She was so intelligent, helpful, well prepared and had an excellent command of the English language. Our tour from Livorno to Florence was one of the highlights on our cruise.

Suggest needing timed entries

Academia galleria was great and had a timed entry in advance. Did not have a timed entry for anything else. Was hard to determine sine we did not know arrival and departure times.

A beautiful city to see on your own indelpendent schedule.

This excursion was nice- gave us a ride into the city center, a very nice light lunch with a glass of wine, and instructions for sightseeing. They obtained tickets for us to see Michaelangelo's David (the Accademia museum) and a map of the city. We had about 3 hours of free time to explore. If you like a more structured tour you may not want the free time, but we enjoyed our time in Florence greatly.

Florence and Pisa from Livorno

What a great day. Sabrina did a magnificent job showing us the grand architecture of Florence and Pisa.

Sabrina was an excellent tour guide, gave us so much interesting information and kept us in time to see everything we wanted to see. Very well organized even though we were a big group. We had a great time in Firenze and Pisa.

Perfect for Cruise Ships

Perfect tour for being on a cruise ship. We didn’t do too much walking but enough. Plus we had some free time to explore and shop.

Excellent guide Gabri and bus drivers. Very punctual and brought us back to the ship good value tour would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Florence.

What a great tour! Must see, must do....

Highly recommend this tour. Much of it is a walk-through on your own to discover the sites, sounds and tastes of Florence. Great experience and out of this world food and wine. This was our best excursion of the 9 we booked on our 10 day cruise. Do not miss the opportunity to book this tour, you will not regret it!

The best tour in Florence

When we got to Florence we went to the market for tasting different foods. It was delicious. We had free time to explore. They gave us a great recommendation for a homemade pasta restaurant. We had time to shop and go to the galleria Accademia and a quick gelato stop. The tour was well organized and definitely worth it. Our tour leader, Gabriele, was the best.

Very friendly and helpful people, gave us great places to go in the free time amazing and comfortable bus as-well, they also drove us right up to the port.

Fun shore excursion to Florence

Fun shore excursion to Florence. Our bus guide told us many things to see, and we appreciated her organization. The food tasting was nice, and gave us ideas of what to purchase, as well as a little sample of the local cuisine. We had a nice day in Florence, with walking around the city, shopping and an authentic lunch (not included).

Luca was s great guide...

Luca was s great guide and set us on in search of an amazing steak and the best local leather goods. His personality lent itself to an entertaining guided tour and insights from a local.

A Waste of Time and Money

This tour was not at all what we expected. Because the bus has to be parked outside of the main area of Florence, a fact not published or noted in the details about the tour, it was very difficult to get to the Academy or the Uffuzzi Palace in a convenient or timely manner. The guide did not give more than general directions for walking to the Academy where we already had reservations to see the David and so we had to continue to ask strangers along the way to help us reach the location. The map provided was useless. The last thing newcomers to an area need is no real guidance to get to the major sites. At least the tour guides should make every attempt to get people to the central part of the city so they can find their way about. The bus was parked in an outlying location which was hard to even reconnect with the end of the tour without one getting directions from strangers. We did not pay for a tour where there was absolutely no guidance. Our tour guide ,as kind as she was , tried to direct us to the Academy, but sent us in a direction away from the main part of Florence . I would definitely not recommend this tour or any tour that Viator does where its tour does not provide more guidance to strangers trying to navigate a new city. Overpriced and inadequate for tourists, that’s the best that could be said for this experience.

Cruise passenger friendly!

Alice is a great guide, and this is a nice way for people visiting Florence from a cruise ship to get to and from Livorno and have a bit of tour guide information and time to explore on your own. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was accounted for and no one was left behind. They also were VERY in tune with getting everyone back to the port for each cruise ship departure time.

Florence and Pisa tours with tasting

My tour guide Sabrina was very pleasant and explained everything very clear. We really enjoyed the trip; the only time when we went to Pisa, the rain was heavy that made us hard to take pictures.

Livorno to Florence

Patience of the guide, Beatrice. Would be useful to know the travel time from Livorno to Florence prior to booking. Excellent driver.

Great way to see...

Great way to see highlights of both cities off a cruise ship. Our guide Vanessa was very good and made the trip worthwhile.

Great tour guide

Sabrina was an excellent tour guide. She spoke multiple languages and was well versed in the history of the area. Massimo handled the bus like highpoint. With her guidance we were able to maximize the time allotted to us for eating, shopping, and touring the iconic sites.

Needed more time

Our guide Sabrina was very helpful, however we just did not have enough time in either city to properly visit. The tasting of local products was nice.

Fantastic

Sabrina our guide was fantastic, informative, funny and caring. She made up maps for us to the most important sites to visit. The bus driver even dropped us back at the boat. A great but long day out because of the traffic. Tour company fantastic communicators when other tour we first booked not available. Highly recommend this tour company.

Excellent guide

Our guide Sabrina was excellent. Knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. So nice that our driver was able to take us back to the port instead of the pickup point in the city center.

Snapshot visit to Florence

This was our first visit to Florence so we walked the main sites such as the Baptistry, Duomo, former Medici palace and the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno river. Next time we visitit will be a non-cruise visit so we can spend longer to visit the Uffizi and Gallery d’academie and see more of the Duomo and Baptistry. Two days at least is needed for Florence.

Well organised and great guide

Really well organised excursion for cruise passengers. The directions were very clear. We found our guide easily after taking the local shuttle bus from the ship. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she was from Livorno, spoke 4 or 5 languages and had long red hair (if her boss is reading this!). She led us through the streets from the bus, taking care to ensure nobody was left behind. On the way to Florence she handed us a map with a suggested walking route. She explained really well where to meet the bus later. A food tasting was included but we opted to skip that and head off on our own. We had almost 4 hours in Florence. The walking route suggested looked short but by the time we had taken many photos, looked at the statues, crossed the Ponte Vecchio and back,had lunch and ice cream, it was time to meet and walk back to the bus. We were even taken back to our cruise ship rather than having to wait for the shuttle bus. It was the perfect length of excursion for cruise passengers and was really well organised and guided.

Great Tour!

Excellent tour with wine tasting and appetizers. The guide was fantastic. The bus driver took us directly to our ship which we appreciated.

A great tour and amazing guide

We ended up doing the Florence/Pisa trip as nobody else booked the Florence only trip. A bit of trouble finding the guide at the drop off location, as a blue shirt didn’t narrow it down much but once we found SABRINA she was amazing. She was funny and informative, polite and kind. She really made the day so much better We got to see all of the landmarks we set out to see.

Wasted day

Left the port on a city bus to the city center to connect with our guide and tour bus. Arrived in Florence at noon. At 2:00 PM we walked to meet the guide at 2:30 the walked 20 minutes to our bus. We passed on Pisa seen it. Tour bus brought us to the ship at 6PM. 2 hours is Florence makes no sense especially with long lines.

Rainy Day in Tuscany

We were actually not able to do the Florence excursion due our guide coming down with Covid the day before but we’re put on a lovely tour to Florence and Pisa with the fun and informative Sabrina. Too bad it was a rainy day. Would recommend for a day in Tuscany.

Switched tours 2 days before

I signed up for the full day Florence but got “upgraded” to Florence and Pisa 2 days prior to arrival due to “Covid”. We had just less than 2.5 hours in Florence and 40 minutes in Piza which wasn’t enough time to do much at all. I thought that the tour guides did the best job they could under the circumstances but if anyone really wants to get even a glimpse of Florence share a cab there and back and spend as much time you can in a museum or two along with the baptistery. Ironically I was purchasing the skip the line tickets online when I got the message from Viator so never purchased.

Both Gabriele the Guide and Sandro the driver, have been very attentive and friendly and especially patient, indicated a fantastic place to eat, on the return we were left on foot from the cruise and there was no need to take the shuttles
