Great overview of Beatles history

This was a good start to our day in Liverpool where we decided to make an all Beatles day. Gave us a great overview of the young days of the formation of the Beatles and then of each of them when they went their own way. I was unaware of their history with Brian Epstein and their start at the Cavern Club. Was a good overview and was great with combined with the Magical Mystery Tour bus tour

A fantastic Fab 4 tour

I actually think that the whole Beatles tour was great. I enjoyed every single place we were taken. The Cavern was spectacular! The museum, all around the city of Liverpool, knowing the places where the Fab 4 were living and met. It was fantastic! my husband and I are planning our next trip to Liverpool already!

Wonderful starting point to learn history of Beatles

The Beatles story museum does a great job "storytelling" the history of the Beatles with the significant milestones of the development of the band's formation, their rise to stardom, their breakup and the lives of each post Beatles. The self paced tour is immersive with the audio narration devices. My son and I loved the experience.

Loved reliving the Beatles era!

Great

We have Been before many years ago so decided to come again. It is great except some of the audio numbers don’t tally with the boards. Worth a visit if you like the Beatles.

Disappointed

Was OK but just not worth the entrance fee. Wouldn’t visit again or recommend. The audio guides just didn’t entirely tally with the boards. Liverpool has so many free attractions this one just doesn’t make the grade.

Meh

Interesting but expensive, crowded and a bit clumsy. I felt as if there were big gaps left out of the story. £40 for a couple and we skipped the photo shoot so not sure if these were included in the cost. Some interesting stuff but I felt it was not really worth the money.

Needs more for the price

On the whole we enjoyed the visit. Plenty to see however I think it could be improved with more memorabilia that isn’t just photographs. Found some parts didn’t flow with the audio. Think more could be added for the £20 per head price.

Amazing trip through Beatles history. Even though I already knew most of the history, it felt like I was living it again. Highly recommend.

A must for Beatles fans

Great exhibition to bring back the memories of the Fab Four. I learned a lot about how the group got started and their early years. Very informative and good value attraction. Go early as the venue gets crowded with tour groups. Make sure you have your ticket saved on phone or printed. It’s a self guided tour.

Superb Museum

The beginning section up to the four areas featuring all 4 Beatles, synchronized perfectly with the audio commentary. At that point, it became confusing which is really too bad. We had to then poke around and backtrack looking for highlights referred to in the audio. Searched for Lennon’s orange spectacles and finally found them beautifully displayed. All in all nicely done. Great section and recreation of the cavern and the commentary was well curated.

Fab storytelling exhibit

The Beatles Story museum has a great storytelling system to take you through the creation, fame, and dissolution of The Beatles to help you understand more about the Fab 4.

Okay

I wanted to do this for years, and I was disappointed on the whole, found the layout didn't really flow well, we ended up missing parts and then having to go back. It was informative but I just expected it to be amazing.

Very interesting colours were truly beautiful and found out so many new things! And would very much recommend

A great experience

Great for Beatle fans. We tried to go last August and turned around because of the crowds. But on a Saturday in Aprilwe got right in and had plenty of time to wander.

We fell deeper in love with the Beatles at The Beatles Story! Interactive exhibits, iconic memorabilia, and captivating stories brought their journey to life. We sang along to classic tunes and left feeling inspired by their musical legacy.

Best Beatles experience with audio tour

Excellent, well done museum with audio tour. We greatly enjoyed the professionalism put into this museum. I learned a lot about the Beatles during their early and Beatlemania times.

Expensive experience

Good story on the lives and experiences from people who knew the Beatles. Expensive for what it was. Encouraged to be part of a photo shoot at the start, told they will be free only to find at the end the photos are again an expensive item.

Too expensive for what it is

Massive fan of the beatles but felt very let down by this museum. Couldn't get a proper look or read of things as a lot of people there. Very expensive

Beatles History from start to finish

Lovely people - such history- beautiful layouts - worth every penny and more. The setups and artifacts are special to all ages - we saw people from ages 5 to 85

A must see

This is a great visual story of the Beatles. You can visit at your own pace, and picture taking is allowed. The individual stories were very well done and captured each of their lives and personalities with their own unique stories. Brian Epstein’s role in their lives and careers was most poignant. DONT miss this!

Few days away

I am a massive beatles fan and it was good but very expensive for something you'd walk around in a few mins. The white room was beautiful the best part

Packed In Like Sardines

I've been a massive Beatles fan for over 40 years. Every record and many books and DVDs of them. We pre-booked tickets and arrived at 10am. The place was absolutely packed. Like London Underground at peak hour. I prefer to read the boards and look at exhibits and photos and didn't take an audio guide. I like also to go at my own pace. But it was so packed with people on headphones it was impossible to move. After 10 minutes of being virtually still I tried to move past a few people ahead to look at an exhibit. I was told in no uncertain terms to not "queue" jump and forced to the back of the no moved queue inside the museum. I'd estimate at the glacial pace it would take 4 or 5 hours of standing to get round. And this was at the quiet time! I have back issues and simply can't stand still or crawl round for 5 hours so left. Almost £40 for 10 minutes where I got to see bare anything. I left after just over 10 minutes and went to Matthew Street where the Cavern Club and Beatles museum are. Both were a 1000 times better than the Beatles Story. Worst museum I've ever been to in the last 30 years. If you are in any claustrophobic don't go. A cheaper alternative: Find 20 friends. Pack yourself in to a telephone box with a Beatles book of photos and an audio podcast on the Beatles. Its the same experience but cheaper.

Fabulous Beatles Experience!!

Me and my two friends had the very best time here. I have to admit I wasn't the biggest Beatles fan beforehand, however I was a convert at the end! The tour gave a full , detailed, fascinating history of the band's rise to world stardom. Detailing their iconic albums, legendary live concerts and ultimate break-up of the band. There are far too many highlights to mention here, but if I had to choose it would be The Cavern & Yellow Submarine replicas and the numerous extraordinary photographs. Plus I must make a special mention for all the staff working there. In particular Ceri, who was so helpful, polite and knowledgeable it really made the whole experience that much more special. I am very well travelled but this was one of the most enjoyable tours I have ever been on. 5 stars all the way!!

Nice place and lovely history of their music and interesting! Ticket is little expansive but worth to visit them and explore their music

Beatles Museum

Audio was great for the information, you can stop it any time so that you can read the boards .Good flow round .Photos that I'd never seen before-including one with John Lennon smiling -which was good to see ,he normally looked so serious.

Absolutely fantastic experience really informative and with a good flow around the building we were never crowed or felt rushed,will highly recommend

A great experience to learn about the Beatles from start to finish. A long walk around to see everything but definitely worth it! You have earphones and a keypad to listen and walk at your own pace. Some amazing memorabilia. Definitely worth a visit

Great attraction. Very informative. The tour guide headsets are great but take care not to miss some numbers! I would recommend this attraction

An excellent introduction to the fab for and their history

A very well designed tour of the Beatles history, with much emphasis of their early years in Liverpool. Suited for both die-hard Beatles lovers and more casual fans.

If you love the Beatles, this tells you the whole story. The audio guide gives you lots of information, as well as optional extra information too.

Don't miss it! It's brilliant!

A fantastic experience! A brilliantly conceived and delivered presentation of the history of the beatles. Loads of information presented in such a variety of ways. I'd be happy to again tomorrow to pick up on everything again!

Definitely worth a visit!

What an interesting afternoon! The exhibition is lovely. We learnt some new information, listened to some old favourites..... a really nice way to spend some time together and to learn about The Beatles.

Fantastic place

My wife and I visited on a Saturday morning, yhe whole thing took around 2 hour including a quick drink in the cafe at the end. We thoroughly enjoyed the Beatles story. A really well put together, interactive trip through the history of the Fab Four. The headset offer a great way to take in all the information but if they aren't your thing there are plenty of signs and labels around for you to make sense of everything without a headset. Lots of recreations of significant places like Matthew Street, The Cavern, Abbey Road, Johns New York flat as well as some very cool memorabilia. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend a visit if you are a Beatles fan.

The museum was very impressive especially with a recreation of the original cavern and I thought the audio commentary was very informative and easy to use Well worth a visit

Fab four experience

This is a nostalgic look at the history of The Beatles. A must for anyone staying in Liverpool. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the fab four and would recommend it.

Fun and informative

Informative and fun. Loved the special tribute to each Beatle with the detailed story of their lives. The props and audio guide were great, loved the museum!

Beatles Fun

Really good tour, lots of information with easy to use guide. Shame no music room to hear the songs or even have songs linked to the areas on the guide. Good children’s area and cafe.

A fun few hours!

Self-guided audio tour. Lots to see and stories to hear from people who were there at the time. A nice way to spend an hour or two!

Incredible visit, beautifully laid out and plenty of room and time to read the exhibits. Imagine - towards the end is a tear jerker!

Absolute must if you are a Beatles fan of any variety. You walk out with with a bigger appreciation of the Fab 4 than you did beforehand!

Learning new things about the iconic Beatles

The information was well presented and I enjoyed the combination of the commentary and the visual displays.

One for the fans

Difficult when you're already a fan as not much that you don't already know. Needed more original memorabilia. Enjoyed it though great hand written notes from George to a former girlfriend and some superb photo's of John in his New York period (should have been more of the others like that). Numbering system of tour went a bit haywire around 16-17 and probably needs improving.

Great place , especially for Beatle Freaks like me. Really interesting exhibits and you can immerse yourself in the period . I'd seen photgraphs of many of the exhibits in books and it was great to see them in real life. If I was running the place I would make the following alterations 1) Lose the airplane seats . Large area could have been better used or put videos in the windows 2) Stop playing the repetitive Beatle tracks tracks in certain areas. They became pretty annoying iespecially if you staye in the same spot for longer than 2 minutes . Beatle-type Instrumental background music would have been better. 3) Re-do the Yellow Sunmarine section . Missed a real chance to Blue Meanie the hell out of the place and really impress the kids. 4) The solo Beatles area was a bit meh - It either needs removing or a major overhaul to include more interesting facts or exhibits. Saying that, I would have given it 6 stars if I could . Loved the day and look forward to going back to read all the stuff I missed the first time .

Great experience

Very well done experience and completely worth it. Wish there had been a coat check though for our wet stuff.
