Beattles & Liverpool private tour

I expected a a bit more for the cost. The guides were very nice, but a bit disorganized and not quite on par wirh other tours I've done. It was nice to have the Van considering the cold, rainy, windy evening.

Fantastic experience!!

Not only did Neil give us the experience as described, but also pointed out many other sights/sites along the way. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to give us photo ops alon the way. Highly recommend!!

Great Tour

We were picked up at the train station right on time without any problems. Our guide, James, was awesome. Very knowledgeable and fun. We got to see everything we wanted to and more. Vehicle was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Beatles private tour

Ian was a great guide!! Pickup was good as was drop off right to the cruise ship. So interesting learning about their childhood and seeing where they lived. Loved hearing about and seeing Strawberry Fields and Eleanor Rigby’s head stone. Glad we had a British cab too. So worth the cost and being a private tour.

Joe on the Private Beatles Car Tour was Fantastic

Joe was an absolute joy to be with. I have never heard of someone with so much Beatles information. We look at the Beatles far differently now after hearing the reasons for the lyrics in many of the popular Beatles songs. He gave us an authoritative background on lyrics along with insights into each of the Beatles, their families, and how the group got together and broke apart. He took us to the childhood homes, where the lads met and their haunts. A perfect 3 hours of our time. Thank you!

Dave, the tour guide was excellent and we really enjoyed seeing the homes where the Beatles grew up and hearing the stories that he shared Would highly recommend it

Great Beatles Experience

My husband is a huge Beatles fan. He loved visiting the childhood homes of John, Paul and Ringo. We went to Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. We saw where they went to school. Our tour director was very knowledgeable. We went to see the Beatles statues and then we got dropped off at the Cavern Club.

Fantastic way to learn about the city and its history and of course the Beatles!

What a wonderful outing. Prompt pick-up, tons of insight by Claire. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She even knocked on the door of Ye Cracke to get the hours of operation. Her insight into the city, the Beatles and the people were second to none. Bought her book on self guided tours as well. I would highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Neal, was the best tour guide (by far), that we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. He had a great personality was very knowledgeable, engaging, funny, accommodating, and perhaps the most endearing quality was that he seemed to share our excitement as if he too, was seeing Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, the homes that Lennon & McCartney grew up in, etc. for the first time, which of course was not the case. I thought we gave him a fair gratuity but in retrospect, I wish we would have given him more - he was that good. If anyone at Viator can tell me how I can make that happen it would be greatly appreciated.

Incredible Guide & Tour

Claire did an incredible job of giving us the Liverpool history that led up to and beyond The Beatles! We learned so much and loved every minute of it. It was great how she played us other Mersey bands as well as The Beatles music!

Beatles evening!

We had a wonderful 3 hours with Neil. He went above and beyond to show us everything he could about the Beatles. We also learned some interesting things about the history of Liverpool we’d have never known. The 2 girls, ages 15, had their attention kept which is hard to do! It was a great evening and I highly recommend it!

Simply Superb

What an excellent two hours this proved to be. Our driver was James and our guide was Patrick. I booked this as a treat for my husband's birthday. He studied in Liverpool many years ago, it is a city close to his heart; we regularly visit but have never done anything like this, it has been on our "to do" list for years and so this weekend seemed the perfect time to book and finally do a Beatles tour! Patrick was just brimming with local knowledge, historical facts and charm, all of these together with his humour made more a most memorable morning. As well as the locations mentioned in the tour title we were lucky enough to also see and visit some of Liverpool's hidden gems... the Picton Reading Rooms for one, absolutely stunning - we WILL be retuning here. The remainder of the locations all included, and of course came with an abundance of detailed historical and not-so-historical facts. James made sure we were able to park to see some of the locations by foot and was never far away when returned to the car. All in all -- fantastic. Thank you both for a superb morning.

Brilliant tour!

Can’t recommend this tour more. We had Neil as out guide. He took us round all the Beatles sites and told us plenty about them. The whole family enjoyed it. Worth every penny.

Fantastic!

We had a great time doing the car tour of the Beatles with Brilliant tours. Joey was our guide and he made the tour very interesting and gave us alot of information. Joey was friendly, polite with a great sense of humour. We would highly recommend Brilliant tours. If your visiting Liverpool this is a must!

Fab way to learn the Beatles Liverpool history We are new to Liverpool and our tour guide made us right at home. We got a perfect introduction to the Beatles and their early life growing up in Liverpool. Family homes, Strawberry fields, Penny Lane and all the back story it was excellent. Fascinating tour around the outskirts of Liverpool.

Neil was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, full of interesting information about the Beatles and the history of Liverpool. Fascinating to see these iconic sights and to hear the background story behind them. Happy to take lots of picites for us and was reliable in picking us up and dropping us back. Was one of the highlights of our short city break. Would thoroughly recommend.

Visit to Beatle Land on the 26th February 2020

Rob Our guide was very interesting and told us some wonderful stories about the Beatles. The tour in Limo i the afternoon was very informative as well. We had the luxury and the warmth of a wonderful Limo and very interesting tour guide. The weather in the morning was very cold and windy on our walking tour around the Cavern district, but that was not the fault of Rob. For us old Beatle fans it was a very enjoyable day tour.

It was Brilliant!

Thank you Claire and Lynne for a thoroughly enjoyable day. We had only a short time in Liverpool to explore the city and indulge our ‘Beatle Mania’ - this tour ticked both boxes! Claire drove us in comfort around significant city landmarks both historical and Beatles related and in the afternoon Lynne took us on an informative walk around the Pier environs and the Mathew Street area ending in the Cavern and live music. Both Claire and Lynne were great fun and knew their city and it’s treasures thoroughly, thanks for sharing! Highly recommended.

5 hour Liverpool excursion with double fantasy (John and Yoko) and Cavern Club

This was our first time in Liverpool and an awesome tour!!! So much information about the Beatles !!! We had a BLAST!!! Was the BEST tour of our 12 day cruise to the British Isles!!!

Amazingly knowledgable guide!

Our guide had such a wealth of knowledge about The Beatles and really personalized our tour for us since we were a small group.

Great tout

Patrick was an exceptional and enthusiastic tour guide. After photos in front of the Fab four statues, we spent time at the double fantasy exhibit, and in to the Cavern Club.After lunch, we took a bus to see Strawberry Fields, John Lennon's childhood home, the Penny Lane barber shop, roundabout, and road sign. Filled with anecdotes and trivia this was a wonderful seven hours.

It was a Good excursion but the guide spoke very quick ,it was difficult to follow the really intersting stories.

The guide was good, but the group was too large. It was difficult to hear him unless you were near him because of the street noises. Generally the itinerary was good, but there could have been fewer stops out near Abbey Road, which would have allowed time to go to the museum near the waterfront.

Too crowded

Patrick was a terrific tour guide, but the size of the group made it difficult to hear, and sadly, felt like a crowded cruise tour, which was exactly what we hoped to avoid.

Liverpool walking and bus excursion

Very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the tour.The Beatles story still is very interesting. Had fun even with a cloudy and occasional showers all day. Bring your raincoat, umbrella and sweaters.

Just loved this Beatles tour, our guide was very informative (cant remember her name now) but she knew her stuff

Best Tour EVER!

This was a 5 hour tour that was to include a walking tour through Liverpool including the Beatles Museum, historical Beatles landmarks, Cavern Club, White Star Bar, and the Eleanor Rigby statue, just to name a few of our stops. It was a small group tour of 7 lead by Patrick who did such an amazing job that we went over on time because we were all so engaged. We then took a city bus to Penny Lane for a stop then back on the bus to go to Strawberry Fields where we had a sudden rain/hail storm. We huddled under trees in a field near Strawberry Fields until it subsided then continued on. From there we walked to the house John Lennon grew up in. By the end of the tour it felt like we had spent the day with old friends. We were dropped off in front of the mural of Abbey Rd, where we took some pictures and continued on with new friends to the Yellow Submarine Bar for a drink. It was a memorable day and we could not have asked for a better guide. Well done, Brilliant Tours, this was an absolutely brilliant day!

Great Tour

Nice informative walk through Liverpool and its Beatles hot spots. Highlight: John & Yoko Exhibition in the Museum (mind you: it is a temporary exhibit, I believe until November 2019), the Cavern, Penny Lane and its Barber Shop, houses where John and Paul spent their childhood. Recommended.

Magical mystical tour

Jean was amazing. Despite the rain and crowd, she gave us a great feel of the origin and the story of the Beatles from its origins to now. The 90 minutes tour is a disservice and go all the way. So worth it.

My wife loved the tour

My wife is an avid Beatles fan and she thought our tour guide, Jean, was great. The statues of them in front of the Museum in Liverpool was great and the tour through the Museum of both John & Yoko was outstanding.

A rainy tour made magical!

The day did not bode well. Rain, wind and cold, yes in June. We two ladies had booked for the Ticket to Ride Tour over 5 hours, leaving our husbands to do other things. We had our misgivings how the time would drag. But, we did not reckon on having a guide called Patrick who immediately lifted our damp spirits, with his great sense of humour, but not just that, his knowledge about the history of Liverpool was amazing. The John and Yoko Double Fantasy Exhibition in the Liverpool Museum was our starting point and was brilliant, and Patrick was good at leading us in singing Imagine, with much panash! We walked the streets being given important information as we went. I will never think of the White Star Building (where the Titanic was designed) as anything other than the 'Streaky Bacon Building' from now on! Details were pointed out that we would have never known about as individual visitors, and visiting the Cavern Club and hearing more about the early days of the Beatles was so good. The bus part of the tour took us to look at Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields, and then on to look at the outside of Paul and John's houses - all done with Patrick's particular wit which made it a joy. We now have really good Scouse accents, encouraged by......Patrick of course! When we met up with our husbands later on, we regaled them with our stories, and I think they were a little fed up about "Patrick said this, and that...." 'Brilliant Liverpool Day Tours' - you have a gem in Patrick!

Five Hour Walking Tour

Brilliant Tour – Highly recommended. My wife and I booked the 5 hour Tour at the last minute as we only had one full day in Liverpool, so wanted to make the most of it. The weather as it turned out was atrocious and we were anxious that the Tour might not go ahead, but if it did would be spoiled by the inclement weather. Our doubts were immediately allayed with our introduction to our tour guide Rob, who started the Tour by guiding us to a sheltered spot and then a fascinating visit to the John and Yoko exhibition. The rain had eased off slightly when we emerged and the Tour continued. I will say that at one point I thought Rob might have been the fifth Beatle, as his knowledge of the Fab Four was profound. I thought I knew a great deal about The Beatles, but I was humbled by his knowledge. Whilst the Tour concentrates on the Beatles story, Rob also points out many interesting facts about the city and its unique place in the World. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tour and I would highly recommend anyone to consider this Company, as you will not be disappointed.

Worst tour of the 12 day trip

Our guide, Patrick, was very inept. He seemed to be flying by the seat of his pants. He gave the driver of the coach wrong directions so we got lost twice. We never boarded the city bus the fab 4 would take to school or saw Strawberry Fields, he said it was closed and under construction. We never saw the Double Fantasy (John & Yoko). At one point another tour guide joined us and seemed to have a lot more information than Patrick. So very very disappointing and surprised a viator tour would hire someone who didn't know what he was doing. Most people on the tour were very unhappy.

Fabulous "Bucket-List" Beatles Tour

Our guide, Jean, was passionate, knowledgeable and accommodating. We learned a lot we didn't know and really enjoyed whole tour which included Liverpool Museum (Double Fantasy), Cavern Club, Cavern District, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, John Lennon’s home and Paul McCartney’s home and an overview and history of Liverpool and some of its significant buildings. We had a great day Jean. Thank you so much :)
