perfect way to see city

The great humour of the guides excellent live guides on hop on bus. Ferry very interesting Would recommend this as great way of seeing the main sights.We had never been to Liverpool before and with only 2 days to see as much as possible this is the best way to do it as gives you plenty of time to visit everything

Our break in Liverpool.

Had an amazing 2 days in Liverpool doing the river cruise and hop on hop off bus. The tour guides on the buses were terrific, with their knowledge of Liverpool and their banter and jokes. I think we saw most of what we had intended.

Great Tour package

Lovely trip on the river Mersey and it made our day as the Queen Anne was docked here for her naming ceremony . The city tour was our best one yet with great commentary Liverpool sure has a great history well worth a visit.

It was Ok

Liverpool was a lot of fun , the ferry was not what we expected, thought it would be more of a cruise along the river , instead it just went from one side to the other .

Boat is great, get a seat up top for the bus!

Love the boat but unless you’re sitting upstairs on the bus you miss a lot which is a shame. It’s worth waiting for the next bus so you can do this, they go every 20 minutes so not a long wait.

Great Trips - Must Do

Excellent trips with good commentary. Vic and Wayne on the bus tour very good - great history, told with humour en route. Recommended for sure. Good value for money.

50 minutes well spent

Was relaxing, informative and enjoyable. The weather was beautiful which was definitely an added bonus.

Well worth it

The boat was a great way to get the history of the city on a rainy day. The boat was heated to. The accompanying hop on/off bus ticket was great, we did the full tour twice and the guides were brilliant (Viv & Paddy). We also used it as our main mode of transport to get to were we wanted to go over the 2 days.

Staff were brilliant very well organised. Knew exactly where we were meant to be before the trip. It was a choppy river day but did not feel it in the boat. Well done staff.

Fabulous

Our trip on the Mersey was fabulous, luckily we were on the first ferry and there was hardly any queue time. It was very informative and we loved it. We then got on the open top bus with Brian as our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and extremely funny… we had a great time, thank you 👍🏻.

Bus: funny commentators - Ferry - nice views

Arrived just in time to catch the ferry. We bought the combo ticket and used the busses the following day. Ferry: informative, plenty of space to sit and we had a good view through the windows (went outside a few times to take photos). Buses: we had two commentators which were great in their own en way. The route is good and the views from the top deck front seat are great. Well worth the money.

The best of Liverpool

Michael was awesome trunk of knowledge driving around the town with many laughs and song the ferry ride on the Mersey was quite nice

Quick and easy!

A nice sightseeing cruise with some great information about the area! Including the towns opposite Liverpool. Don’t expect a super long tour, it’s brief and informational!

The staff are lovely in the boat and the recorded commentary is so informative. Very good boat cruise experience.

Good value for money

The river cruise was good, and the staff and crew were happy to have my dog on board. Having visited the Wirral and Liverpool many times, it was good getting a different perspective from the water. The bus tour was informative and gives you a good basis to explore further. Even if the guides' jokes are older than Liverpool, it's self

Easy way to see the city

Great and informative trip. If you like boats, the ferry ride is very relaxing. The bus tour was informative and takes you all over the city with the ability to hop on and off at different locations. My bus ticket was good for the following day as well. A great way to see and get around the city for people with mobility issues. I cannot remember my driver and guides names but they were wonderful and informative. I will say, you can only tip them in cash, so bring cash

A mixed bag!

The hop on hop off bus tour was brilliant. The guides on the buses were very knowledgeable and also cracked jokes. It was a good balance. Well worth the money. The river tour was disappointing. The commentary was pre-recorded, muffled and partly drowned out by the sound of the engines. It was all in English too and it was unclear what we were looking at. There was no help at all if English wasn't your first language, nothing written down or signs and drawings, or even QR codes on the boat. However there was very interesting information about the history of "Dazzle" camouflage on the boat, which kept us informed and occupied. I wouldn't do the river cruise again.

A good way to see the sights.

The boat tour was very interesting and just the right length! The bus tour was even better. We went on a full loop on the first evening then used it to hop on and off the next day. The commentary was different every time so even on the third trip past a landmark we heard different information. Very interesting and useful.

Liverpool Rocks!

No Liverpool visit is complete without seeing its impressive skyline from the Mersey. However, our ferry paused for ages at Seacombe dockside and we watched as boxes of Peroni were loaded. And not even a complimentary one for the wait! The bus tour was enjoyable. The guide - cool in sunglasses and sipping a large black coffee throughout - was entertaining and informative. All in all, we recommend the ferry cruise and bus tour combined. It's a must for getting to know the mighty city of Liverpool. For those who are interested, The Beatles statue is yards away from the tour bus stop. After the bus tour, recommend you visit 'The Liverpool' boozer for its friendly staff and homely atmosphere. 'Jurgens Beer House' is worth a drop-in, too.

Great Trip

Ferry and Bus were good, just didn’t have enough time to utilise fully. However, don’t book before you go as you can get it cheaper on the day I was travelling with an OAP and there is not option to select that on the website but there is a the box office

Waste of time

The ferry was jammed with elementary and high school kids. You couldn't hear the commentary. The ride was short. The bus portion was totally disorganized. There are two lines by separate companies the red and the yellow. I picked the city only yellow and should have picked the more expansive red. It was hard getting jnfo, the !ines were long and intermixed. The red bus had long lines. At every stop

Enjoyed the river cruise and the bus tour, only wish we could have had more time to explore Liverpool.

Friendly and informative

The bus tour was great Dave gave us lots of information about the buildings and history and was a great way to travel around the city being able to hop on and off

Great way of seeing the city

Great value for money. The first day we went on the 50 minute river cruise, which was very pleasant, then we boarded the hop on hop off bus, which you can catch within a reasonable walking distance. We stayed on for the full loop. Chris told us all about the landmarks, he was funny and informative, and John was our very skilful driver. The 2nd day we then used the bus to stop off and visit the sights that we were interested in. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Liverpool for the first time.

Had a great day absolutely no problems on the ferry just a wee hiccup on the buss we had two people in wheelchairs but they will only take one wheelchair at a time

It was nice to see Liverpool from both the sea and land. The bus tour was very interesting and had a live guide who was knowledgeable.

A great way to see the City. Very informative and the buses are every 15 mins

Boat trip worth doing and the buses were fantastic. Run every 15 minutes so hop on hop off very easy. The guys were very informative on the bus so quite a nice idea to do the whole circuit then decide where to visit on the second time around.

I don't get any one

The tour was canceled. Waiting for my full refund. How it's possible that you sell a tour with just one ship?? I hope don't get any problem or excuse with my full refund.

Brilliant two things to do in Liverpool

The hop on, off bus was excellent with a interesting history of Liverpool centre. Excellent women who really knew her history and made it very educational. The Mersey boat was a great experience and wonderful experience, couldn't hear the audio that well but overall a brilliant two things to do.

Good way to see the main sights of Liverpool and the audio on the bus was great. River cruise is an opportunity to see Liverpool from a different angle. Good value for money.

Great Overview

The tour guide on the bus was very funny and engaging. Wonderful overview of the city and it's history also good tips on where to eat, go dancing etc... The cruise was relaxing and the staff at the check-in desk were great.

Really impressed on both counts. The river cruise was very good - the audio was clear and informative. The bus tour was excellent. Barry the driver and Eileen the tour guide made it a relaxing experience. She was extremely knowledgeable and added some fun into her commentary. We had the cruise one day and the bus tour the following day. Great ways to learn about Liverpool. Highly recommended.

Liverpool river cruise was fantastic very informative and interesting. Very relaxing sitting on deck watching Liverpool and the Wirral pass by with all the information given. The city sightseeing tour was fun, informative and interesting the tour guide Chris was really funny while the driver was extremely good especially in the narrow roads. I would extremely recommend these two tours.

A great way to see Liverpool

We picked the ferry + city bus tour ticket for our family. We went on the ferry first, it was quite good but in high season very very busy. Unfortunately half way through we had a group of business men have a business meeting right standing up in the front of the boat where we were sitting which blocked multiple peoples views. Not the operators fault but really disappointing and I’d imagine probably not only for us but for others too. The city bus tour is excellent and we really enjoyed it, the route and the guides are absolutely excellent. A really good service, would highly recommend.

Nice day out

Had a fantastic day, we started with a nice wee hour on the ferry and later on we went on the tour bus. The ferry was lovely and very informative, while the tour bus was very funny thanks to the tour guide Phil. I would suggest going to the first stop for the bus near the big wheel though as it was constantly busy.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't dry so didn't see much plus there was a big group of school kids who noisy that I couldn't hear what the commentator said.

The tour is a voice over recording which is difficult to hear sometimes. Overall good value for money. Good information of the city, historical and up to date Very enjoyable
