Traveling on the canals was the best part of the tour. The beach stop was ok the restaurant there was good.Our guide was very good though.

Everything about the tour was great. The tour of Puerto Limon, visit to the banana plantation, Tortuguero Canals, and beach visit were all awesome. We especially liked the Tortuguero Canals where we saw plenty of wildlife and Play Bonita where the food and drink was good. Not to mention all the beautiful scenery. All in all a great tour!

Intriguing tour

Larry, our guide, made the whole trip worthwhile. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate about Puerto Limon. The sightseeing was very intriguing. I had the chance to see and learn about native plants and animals that I had never never seen prior to this tour. I highly recommend the tour and the BEST guide in the world named Larry.

Great tour and Fair Price.

Relax Tours provided all that they promised on the description and more. The canal tour boat was outstanding with driver and guide spotting so many sloths, birds and lizards. Shout out for Ernesto and Eric.

A Must Do

Highly recommend, Mr. Cooper was very passionate about the tour and very informative. Johan our driver was amazing, and safety was his number 1 priority. Carlos our boat driver was super on it when a sloth, monkey, iguana or bird was spotted.

Contact and directions for Meetup were seamless. Larry and Giovanni were great. We left on time and saw some amazing animals and had a wonderful lunch at the beach. Well worth the money! Please remember to tip these hard-working people.

A fun and informative way to spend a few hours

We were met outside the port, as promised in the excellent pre tour communications. Larry, our guide, was a hoot. He, our driver and the boat captain were amazing in their abilities to spot local wildlife hidden in the vegetation as we passed. We saw two and three tied sloths, Cayman and crocodiles, plus plenty of birdlife. Larry kept us entertained during our trip and the stop at the fruit stall was fun and educational. One of the best tours we've done. Would highly recommend.

Amazing day in Limon! Highly recommend! Larry and crew ensured everyone had a great time! From banana and coffee tasting to spotting birds, crocs, monkeys, and sloths in the Tortuguero Canal! Finishing the day with ceviche and cerveza at Playa Bonita. Pura Vida!✌🏽

A very relaxing and enriching experience

My wife and I enjoyed the entire experience from being picked up to having a comfortable air-conditioned van to having a very hospitable and knowledgeable tour guide. We enjoyed very delicious fruits and a great tour of the canal where we saw lots of species of animals and topped it off with a visit to the beach. Even though the water was cold and the weather wasn’t perfect we had a great time, dining on local cuisine . We thoroughly enjoyed the entire excursion and would recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Best experience ever and highly recommended

From pickup to drop off we had a fantastic experience. Larry and Yovannis made you feel really comfortable and provided good history. We toured the Catholic church, banana fields, canals and wrapped up the day at the beach. We spotted monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, iguanas, birds etc What a great value for money! Try it and you will not be disappointed. The entire bus applauded them before departing at the Port.

Puerto Limon tour

Our cruise ship docked in late but the tour owner, Frederick, worked it out and got us on our way. Frederick was a good tour guide, pleasant and informative. Enjoyed the Tortuguero Canals more than Cahuita National Park, as we saw more wildlife there. Fruit tasting stop and info on banana plantation was good too.

Costa Rica, Relax Day Tours

Amazing shore excursion guided by Larry. He’s by far the best guide we’ve ever experienced. Absolutely full of knowledge and a great personality to make the excursion over the top. Great Tour & a Reasonable Price

Great tour guide Larry. Very knowledgeable! Nice having a smaller group. Him and the driver tried hard to find wildlife along the roadside and in the forest. (Saw a lot) The boat part of the excursion was awesome as well! A very patient driver who also helped to seek out lots to see! Answered lots of questions and nothing was rushed. On a schedule but very accommodating. Would do it again in a minute!! 😁

Relax Day is well named. Nice variety of activities without the hustle!

At the port, it was easy to locate our guide (very clear directions, THANKS!). He gave us lots of information on the bus ride, and the driver pulled over frequently so that we could get pictures of the wildlife. Interesting tour of the banana plantation, including other plants/trees (paprika, cocoa, ylang ylang). The boat tour was fun too, with opportunities to see sloths, basilisks, iguanas, various birds). Ending up at Bonita beach, where we enjoyed a cold beer and some delicious ceviche, was the perfect end to our day.

Amazing Tour⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We saw and learned so much!! Tour guide LARRY was amazing!!!!! He spoke English, gave us information, the driver had “eagle eyes” for spotting monkeys in the trees! The boat ride was SO AWESOME; we saw monkeys, sloth, boa constrictor lying, crocodile, iguanas!!!!! Such a fabulous tour!!!

Great tour

Larry was an excellent guide. He had lots of information to impart. He enabled us to get a better sense of the history and of living in this part of Costa Rica. The animals were not as cooperative on the canal but there had been heavy rain the day before so water levels were high. We did see gator, birds and a small boa constrictor nestled in a tree.

Well worth it.

Larry our tour guide was fantastic. A good opportunity to see some of the local sights. Overall it was a well paced tour but would have preferred a little more time at the beach.

Excellent and easy tour

Everything was flawless, from the pickup to drop off at the cruise port. We were a party of eight which was so nice when you consider the option of the cruise ship tours with a full bus load. Gary was a fount of knowledge. I can’t say enough. Thanks Gary!

Fantastic tour - interesting sites and an amazing guide!

This tour was fun and informative from start to finish. There were many interesting stops - a chance to taste various fruits and see and learn about native plants, a roadside stop to see a two-toed sloth, an informative tour at a banana plantation, a boat cruise, and the beach. Larry our tour guide did a fantastic job. He was personable, funny, entertaining, attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and happily answered all our questions. The bus was comfortable, and Eddy was an excellent driver. The boat captain, Carlos, was well-informed, personable, and capable. He went above and beyond so we could see as many things as possible. At the beach, we had the chance to take a dip in the water and enjoy lunch (at our own cost). The food was delicious. I highly recommend Relax Day Tours, keep up the excellent work, it was a real pleasure to tour with you.

This tour packs in a lot...

This tour packs in a lot but still never felt rushed. Our tour guide Larry was fantastic, imparting a lot of history and facts about Costa Rica while keeping things light and humorous. This tour far exceeded our expectations.

Great tour of Puerto Limon!

This tour was awesome! Our driver, Eric, and our guide, Larry, were so polite and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure that we were provided opportunities to see many animals that were native to Costa Rica. Larry was enthusiastic about showing us the natural plants that people used for medicinal purposes. We learned so much! I would recommend this tour with Larry to anyone!

Great understanding of Costa Rico

Larry was an outstanding tour guide. Great knowledge of Costa Rico and in particular the history of lemon. Extremely friendly and funny.

A lot packed into this fun and diverse excursion with knowledgeable guides!

Several stops on this 3-4 hour tour make it a bargain - our guide JC was very knowledgeable and Fabian provided stressfree transportation in a comfortable vehicle. The Tortuguero Canal boat ride was great - no guarantee of seeing animals of course, but the boat pilot was very experienced and knew exactly where to go! The only downside is that I didn't listen to JC when he said at Playa Bonita to eat from the buffet if you are going to eat, and that there is a 10% tax on everything. I ended up eating my food in the tour bus because it took forever. I enjoyed all the stops and definitely recommend this tour! No stress at all in getting back to the ship in time. Thank you for a great day in Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

Puerto Limon Bonita Beach tour (from the cruise port)

From the cruise port in Puerto Limon, we (approx 20 cruise ship people) met our tour guide Larry and boarded a small, yet comfortable, bus. It was an awesome tour lasting about 5 hours. We visited the city, banana plantations, church, countryside market stop and Playa Bonita Beach for a drink and something to eat. Larry was an awesome tour guide and really entertained us and enlightened us regarding life in his country. I highly recommend this tour

Pura Vida Costa Rica

We had a great shore excursion tour in early March with Relax Day Tours. We chose the 4-hour Around Limon Tour with Larry our tour guide and Giovanni the bus driver. It was a nice group size of about 12 on a comfortable small bus. We visited a beautiful church in Limon before heading out to the countryside to a fruit stand, banana plantation, the Tortuguero Canal boat ride and the Playa Bonita Beach. Larry was so interesting with a wealth of knowledge of flora and fauna. Both he and Giovanni were excellent at spotting wildlife along the ride. The boat ride was amazing with all the wildlife viewing of monkeys, sloths, a caiman, and lots of birds. We were glad we chose them and definitely would recommend them.

Outstanding in every way

Our day was fantastic and so much fun. Our guide Larry was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Our driver Giovani(?) was incredible at spotting wildlife, both driver and guide were top notch. Pickup was easy and we could find Larry quickly and as expected. One of the highlights was the boat trip, where we saw lots of birds, sloths and iguanas. The time spent at Playa Bonita was very relaxing. This was a great excursion and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish, we saw a lot of things a were dropped off back at the cruise terminal with plenty of time to do some shopping. Thank you to all the team at Relax Day Tours for this wonderful day. 5 stars+!!

Larry was the best guide. He made sure we were having a great time. Loved the tour. He showed us so much in the banana plantation. We love the boat tour and the monkeys, and other wildlife.

A Must Do Tour In Puerto Limon With Relax Day Tours

This was one of the best tours we had on our cruise. Relax Day Tours was easy to find when we got through the port. Larry met us and got us on the ac bus. Larry was very knowledgeable of the trees, plants, wildlife and the town. We would be driving along and he would have the driver stop to show us a plant/tree. The driver was very good at seeing things in the trees that we cold not see until he stopped. Sorry we don't know the driver's name but he and Larry made a fantastic pair for this tour. They took us on a boat tour and we saw birds, alligators and iguanas. They took us to a banana plantation and explained the operation. We stopped at a fruit stand and sampled the bananas. We also sampled other fruit and coffees. He took us to Playa Bonita where we an optional lunch and drinks overlooking the beach and waves. We were able to stick our toes in the sand. We ended our tour at the grocery store where we were able to purchase coffee, rum, beer, or anything we needed. Overall, we could not have asked for any better excursion. We not only saw everything that was listed but we saw much more as Larry would point out plants and trees used for healing and minor medical treatments.

Perfect excursion!

We booked the half day tour and this company was excellent from beginning to end. Communication was clear, friendly and really helpful with our questions. Our guide and driver were just wonderful! They are very knowledgeable of the area and wildlife. The boat ride on the canals was great too, we got lucky and saw many sloths which I loved!! This was a very fun tour and we felt very comfortable, this was definitely the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour to learn about Costa Rica and see their values sights

JC was one of the best tour guides I have had from Viator. Everything was top notch from meeting Relax Day Tours at the planned site, comfort of the van and the detail of the tour. The driver (sorry forgot his name) was top notch as well, trying to find different fruits & animals along the scenic tour to give additional detail. The whole tour was informational but yet at a pleasant pace. JC also gives local insight, even the appropriate stop to buy Costa Rican Coffee and goods. Highly recommend Relax Day Tours, as their communication was excellent & if you get a chance, request JC, you will have an extremely informative tour. 5-STAR

Great Tour in Costa Rica

We loved this tour and learned so much. Larry was a very good guide and had many interesting facts to share about Costa Rica, it's sights, plants, banana plantations and wildlife. We would definitely recommend Relax Day Tours in Costa Rica and would use them again.

Amazing tour!

Whether you’re here from a cruise or staying in the area this tour is a must! We covered so much ground in this tour! Our tour guide was wonderful and really loves showing off Limon. From spotting animals for us, letting us try local bananas, explains the local spices, fruits and vegetable. He even had us singing!

Larry has a fun personality, good tour!

Larry had a fun personality. We stopped on the side of the road to see some sloths and a monkey. We went to a banana plantation which wasn’t part of our tour which made our tour go longer than it should have. It was cloudy so we didn’t see as much wildlife as we hoped but it was an interesting canal ride.

Back Again!

My second time using Relax Day Tours was just as wonderful as the first. Rupert was very informative and knowledgeable and Felix drove us around safely. Loved all the wildlife, organic banana plantation, and Red Snapper Restaurant. Thank you again for a beautiful day!

Wonderful tour.
