Highly Recommend

We had a wonderful tour guide! She was professional and very knowledgeable. The hanging bridges offer a great view into the rain forest. Unfortunately it was raining, which the tour guide explained makes it more difficult to see the animals. We did see the yellow viper and a monkey though. Then we toured around the volcano and the rainy weather obscured the view of the volcano but fortunately we did get a momentary glimpse, long enough to snap a few photos. We skipped the waterfall part because swimming was prohibited because of the weather and because we had already glimpsed the waterfall on a different day. We had a lovely lunch through the tour at nice little restaurant. The tour guide did an A-plus job.

Great Experience

We had a great experience during this tour. Our tour guide JC was wonderful. He is very well informed and makes sure everyone in the tour group is comfortable with the activities. He even managed to find a sloth for us during this tour. The food was awesome too. Overall we would highly recommend this tour.

La Fortuna Sightseeing

We went on a tour with Juan Carlos and had a great experience. We saw many beautiful attractions in the La Fortuna area. This tour provides a variety of sights in that you will experience the rain forest, waterfall hike and a volcano h all in one day. Juan Carlos kept us excited and enjoying each activity even though we had some rain on the day we toured. We really appreciated his explanations of each place we visited.

Fantastic excursion!

Tour guide Angelica and driver Henry made our excursion so fantastic- informative, relaxing and insightful. Angelica has eagle eyes and spotted two sloths, multiple monkeys, coatis, snakes, even a tarantula! Her telescope helped us see all of these creatures up close. She was a wealth of knowledge on all things Costa Rica.

Best Day Tour in La Fortuna /Arenal

The tour was the highlight of my trip to La Fortuna. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the volcano, plants and wildlife we saw on our hikes. The pace of the tours was excellent and allowed time for photos and breaks. The transportation was on time and very nice. They provided water and a delicious Costa Rican lunch. This tour is a terrific value and a must do on your trip to the Arenal/La Fortuna area. Beyond all my expectations!

The excursion was amazing, picked us up right on time and ensured we were well taken care of, one of the best drivers Henry. We had a blast, and saw a bunch of cool wild life with our amazing guide Will, would do again

Wonderful day!

This was a full day but exceptional. I think the order of events was perfect, ending with the waterfall swim. I think I was expecting the wall fall to be more natural but it was still a fun experience. Valeria was a terrific guide - knowledgeable, funny, yet able to keep everyone on schedule. Lunch was delicious.

Our Arenal combo tour

The waterfall, Arenal volcano , hanging bridges were great, the scenery was great. The tour guide was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant!

Angelica was a wonderful...

Angelica was a wonderful guide! She was accommodating for our group that ranged in age from 9 to 75. We had a great experience. It was active - a couple of miles of walking - but they make it easy with rest spots.

Good if you like crowds

I was expecting a lot more hiking and walking in solitude. All the components of the tour were very busy and not as challenging as I was led to believe or the photo makes it look like.

Fantastic Tour!!! 10/10

This experience was absolutely amazing, our tour guide Will and our driver were above and beyond phenomenal, knowledgeable and super accommodating. We did the volcano lava trail 1st, where Will, gave is a little bit of background and history of the area and then lead us into the trail, then the Fortuna Waterfall which was mesmerizing, even though we were caught in a powerful rainstorm on our way back up the 250 steps, then finally the hanging bridges, where Will, as he has done before, lead us up the trail to the hanging bridges. Overall I super loved the entire experience including the amazing lunch!!!!

If you’re in La Fortuna, DO THIS! Just WOW!!!

Our guide JC was awesome! It was beyond amazing! Sloths, Snakes, Monkeys, Waterfalls, etc! AMAZING!! It rained literally all day long but I would still do it every single day if I could! The lunch they provided was at a nice restaurant and was amazing! My wife and I part of a group of 8 but Juan Carlo took the time to make sure everyone saw everything. He taught us so much about Volcanos, wildlife, and Costa Rican culture. If you’re trying to decide if if it worth it, the answer is YES.

Don't Think Just BOOK!

This was one of the greatest experiences of my life!! The day started off with a pickup from our hotel, our only responsibility was to be in the lobby at the right time. We were picked up and then started off our tour with hanging bridges, then off to the La Fortuna Waterfall, lunch and then ended with the volcano hike! We had the best guide Valeria and driver that always kept our comfort in mind, we were provided with water bottles on the bus, and lunch was provided. It rained all day on our tour and you would think the tour guides would try and skip steps and make the day move on quicker than necessary, but NOPE! They were just as excited to show us their beautiful country rain or shine! Our tour group didn't feel like we missed out on anything because of the weather. At the hanging bridges we stopped at all the bridges on the map, stopped by a ton of animals: coati, tarantulas, birds, iguana's etc. We were given time to stop by a coffee stop before we headed over to the La Fortuna waterfall as well which was nice to warm up a bit. Unfortunately, because of the rain we weren't allowed to go into the base of the waterfall and swim, but usually if the rain isn't bad they let you get in at the bottom. Valeria gave us so much information about the different types of vegetation, trees and plants found in the rainforest. Our lunch was an amazing costa rican meal that was HUGE, along with a refreshing fresh fruit drink which was plenty of food! On the way to the volcano hike the driver pulled over on the side of the road for some reason and before I knew it we were looking at a sloth high in the trees!! I had mentioned earlier in the day I hoped to see a sloth, and Valeria & driver went above and beyond to stop and allow us all to take a look through binoculars and even took pictures through the binoculars for all of us to have a special memory. When we got to the volcano hike, it was raining harder and we took a group vote on whether we wanted to do the longer hike or the shorter one. We opted for the shorter hike but it was still amazing! Valeria still stopped at important trees, plants and animals. We ended up at the highest lookout we could get to - and our luck turned when the rain stopped, the fog parted and we were able to see the volcano! The rain seemed like it was unfortunate but more rain means less mosquitos, and more animals out and about. After our day we were dropped back off at our hotels and were able to relax for the rest of the day. Honestly, don’t think about it and BOOK IT - this tour was fantastic! It was also a great way to knock out a lot of things in La Fortuna in 1 day! My husband and I had an incredible time!

The best experience---Juan Carlos was amazing!

We had THE BEST experience on this tour and the tour guide, JUAN CARLOS, was AMAZING! He was soo positive and upbeat and excited about everything he was showing us and was giving us so much more than the basic knowledge. He definitely is the "Costa Rican Steve Irwin" LOL It was a full day tour with a lot of walking which just felt SOO GOOD. This definitely was the highlight of the trip!

Amazing day in the Arenal!

This was an amazing experience!! I cannot emphasize how important it is if you are not a native (or even if you are!) to have a guide. Angelica was SO knowledgeable when it came to the natural history, flora, and fauna of every part of the tour and she had a great sense of humor while doing it! Had we done any of these activities alone, they would have been beautiful but having a guide and someone to drive you around without having to stress was lovely! 10/10 would do again!

Great experience with...

Great experience with Angelica and our driver, Henri. Was able to see several animals on the nature walk and enjoy a delicious lunch. Angelica was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions. She was also very energetic and kind. I would recommend this tour as a great way to see some of the big highlights of La Fortuna/Arenal.

Wonderful Day full of exercise, nature and information

Fantastic day! We had a group of 6 including 2 teens and 2 seniors and we all had a wonderful time. Val was knowledgeable, funny and kept us on schedule without making us feel rushed. Lunch was delicious also. Highly recommended this tour.

Great guide but long day in the rain.

Tour guide was great. The walking tour was a bit boring and might have been better if it hadn't rained the entire time. Of course we couldn't see the volcano which was the whole reason we went to La Fortuna. And we couldn't swim under the waterfall due to so much rain. Price was too high, needs to be around $110 per person.

This was such a great day...

This was such a great day trip! Our guide Angelica was the absolute sweetest and super knowledgeable. If you only do ONE thing in La Fortuna/Arenal, I would recommend this one. It's a really good taste of what the area has to offer.

Fantastic tour guide

We did a tour led by Juan Carlos and it was excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and a fantastic tour guide. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Beautiful trip !

Very well organized and beautiful journey on the hanging bridges and walking through the jungle to reach the water falls. Our guide was excellent and she went above and beyond to explain and explore different plants and animals. Very knowledgeable about route and culture. Our guide Valerie was just perfect!

Magic moment on a rainy day

Our guide did his best to make the most of a very rainy day, but we weren't able to fully enjoy the forest due to the heavy downpour. For future visitors, I recommend dressing appropriately for the unpredictable weather. Layer up: Wear a light shirt and bring a warm hoodie to stay comfortable. Footwear matters: Sandals and open-toed shoes are not permitted within the bridge forest. If rain is in the forecast, bring waterproof boots instead of running shoes, as they can get soaked and stay wet for the rest of the day. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. The bridges are truly impressive, and the forest itself is breathtaking. The trails leading to the volcano are unique, even though we weren't able to see the volcano itself. The tour is really informative. My only suggestion for the guide: Encourage participants to occasionally pause and listen to the sounds of the environment. This would allow everyone to fully appreciate the natural soundscape.

Informative and fun

Despite the rain, we really enjoyed the three activities, as well as lunch. Juan Carlos was a great tour guide was very informative on the sites, vegetation, animals, and history. He made sure to stop with his scope to help us find animals that we would not have seen on our own.I would recommend this tour.

Hiking Fortuna

Our tour guide Will was very personable, funny and knowledgeable. The entire family had a great time walking through the forest across the swinging bridges. The walk down to the waterfall was easy, but walking back up was very tiring. The walk to the base of the volcano was steep in some areas, but the lookout point was spectacular. All in all, this was an excellent adventure and we were all exhausted in the end. Highly recommend!!

Arenal volcano tour

We loved the 3 activities, especially the hanging bridge. It’s not an easy excursion. For volcano hike and hanging bridge, you are better off wearing hiking shoes. Our guide Juan Carlo was very informative and put safety first. The lunch was great. If you have plenty of time, do a max of 2 activitiesz

Great tour through the forest and Arenal

Fun experience and Valeria was a great guide. She taught us a lot about the plants surrounding area in the volcanoes and hanging bride portion. The hanging bridges was a great experience being so high up having a view of the forest. And the waterfall was beautiful though sadly we weren't able to swim in it that day because the current was to strong. Be sure to bring a poncho or rain jacket.

Long day but well worth it!

Val, our guide, was super informative and seemed to genuinely love being outdoors and a guide. The volcano hike isn't bad at all. The hanging bridges aren't for those of afraid of heights! That said, my wife definitely is afraid of heights and bravely crossed five of the swaying and bouncing bridges! The waterfall was beautiful and the water was cold. Walking down to get there is long and steep, walking back is akin to leg day! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would 100% do it again.

The tour was well...

The tour was well organized and the lunch was exquisite, best food so far in Costa Rica! We forgot our water but they had a cooler full of regular sized water bottles that lasted throughout the day. Thank you, Juan-Carlos for a great day.

Nice paced, not rushed....

Nice paced, not rushed. We saw armadillo, black squirrel, toucans, tarantula, owls, yellow eyelash viper, iguana, peccary pig, motmot bird, crested guan bird, currasow bird, hummingbirds and many others.

Interesting and enjoyable but some parts felt misleading

We were late out of the hotel room due to heavy rain, had to get a taxi but the tour guide waited for us as the start point. That was truly appreciated. The hanging bridges were really exciting and different. Downside of the experience though is that the small snakes we were shown seemed fake. It was a bit suspicious the way they were able to spot them without looking. The waterfall is breathtaking. Be prepared to walk 500 steps but you feel amazing after you are done. The gift shops by the waterfall are the most affordable so grab your gifts there. The volcano aspect was a bit misleading. The walk is literally around the base of the volcano and not anywhere close to it, luckily, we chose the green path. It ends at a point where you can view the volcano in the background but could have taken you 30 steps to get there from the starting point. The tour guide was however very informative and engaging throughout.

The Finnerty family vacation

Everyone in our family, which included our son (26) and daughter (23), really enjoyed the Nature Lover Combo tour led by Juan Carlos. We've always wanted to experience Costa Rica as a family, as we all love the outdoors, and this adventure checked all of the boxes. From the hanging bridges tour to a hike around the volcano to swimming in the waterfalls, we loved every minute of the tour. Juan Carlos and Geovanni made sure we experienced every beautiful animal in the rain forest from the monkeys to the tucans. They educated us on the wildlife and the history of the volcano and made sure it had a great day together. We can't thank them enough for giving our family an experience we'll always remember. Magnificent

Juan Carlos was absolutely amazing. His love of nature, his love for his country and his humor was just outstanding. I was worried about doing 3 big excusions at once- no problem at all. We saw 2 sloths, a monkey, snakes…i wish I could do it all over again.

The sight of the majestic...

The sight of the majestic arenal Volcano and the vegetation in the hanging bridge trek were the highlight. The guide Valeria is very good. Super friendly and very helpful.

Amazing tour 10/10 experience, definitely worth doing the all day option. Wilber is extremely personable and informative with outstanding skills at spotting wildlife.

Strenuous but worth it

The was a great day! The activities, the food, and the guide made this a very memorable experience. But I wasn’t prepared for how strenuous it all was. The hike was pretty rough for me. I would rate it as moderate to difficult. Please be aware. Then you still have two more activities with a lot of walking. To get to the water it was 500 steps down and then up. Then walking through the hanging bridges seemed like another hike! It was all too much for me in one day. But it still was a great experience. I will read the description more carefully next time.

Great tour despite the rain

Our guide, angellica, was knowledgeable and entertaining. The hanging bridges were the highlight for us mainly due to the deteriirating weather conditions throughout the day. Trails and bridges are beautiful and saw some birds and an eyelash viper. Unfortunately due to Rain and clouds, we were not able to see the volcano but enjoyed the hike anyway. It was pouring rain when we were at La fortuna waterfall which made it difficult to enjoy the spectacular view. The waterfall was raging due to all the rain which meant we couldn't get in the water. But the falls were amazing. The guide made the best of it despite the weather. The lunch was very good as well. Our driver was good as well.

Adventures in La Fortuna

Fun tour that let us experience the highlights of La Fortuna in a short time. Angelica (tour guide) and Henry (driver) were punctual and super friendly. Angelica knows her stuff and pointed out some cool wildlife like sloths, yellow viper snakes and different bird species during our two-hour rainforest hike. She made a connection with everyone in the group (9 of us) and made the trip great. Though the rain limited views of the volcano and we couldn’t swim at the waterfall, the hanging bridges and lunch made the trip worth it. I recommend this trip for people that want to experience nature with limited time in the city.

Amazing Adventure

I had such a fun time. This is the perfect adventure for nature lovers. got to experience breathtaking views and learn so much along the way. Angelica was a great tour guide! I highly recommend this all day experience. Definitely make sure you pack the recommended items for this.

We went on this tour in late November. Unfortunately the rain meant we weren't able to swim in La Fortuna waterfall as it was closed. Despite that, my husband and I had a wonderful time! Our guide was Angelica. Her energy and knowledge made the tour really special!
