Fuji was was great! He was took us to all the major sites in Kyoto. He was very knowledgeable and flexible with our schedule and what we wanted to do. He was on time and spoke very good English. Definiltey would recommend this tour to anyone.

Comprehensive tour with knowledgeable guide.

What a fantastic day in Kyoto. Our guide was so knowledgeable and very accommodating to our family's needs. I would highly recommend. Wear good walking shoes for hike up to see the monkeys.

Take a Cab!

Driver was friendly. But you’re better off just taking a taxi to each attraction since the pick up point is several minutes away. It’s also 5 to 7 times more expensive than just taking a cab which are readily available at the attractions.

A very nice experience

Our driver, Harry, was excellent. We only had one day to explore Kyoto and he was able to safely drive us around to the major sightseeing spots in town. We also were able to customize the itinerary to our needs. He suggested a place for lunch that was very authentic with delicious Japanese food and ZERO crowds. 😊. The car was very comfortable with very nice cold air conditioner. Thank you, Harry, for the wonderful day. 🙏🏻

Great Value Option!

This tour is perfect for those who want to have sites and time flexibility. You can take their suggestions, or give them your list. They will then take you to the locations avoiding the crowds and you do and stay as you wish…then on to the next one. Lexi, our host, was attentive and efficient, even for a lunch recommendation. Can’t beat the price as we were 5 people, and the transportation vehicle was extremely comfortable.

See it all with a savvy guide

Fujimoto was an excellent driver! We already had an ambitious agenda and had accepted that don't things may have to wait for another day if we ran out of time, but Fuji checked off every item from the list and still managed to take us to additional locations he suggested that turned out great for us. At each stop he had tips for us to navigate quickly, avoid crowds, see rarer sights, etc... and in between stops we learned from him along the way. He also got us a reservation at great lunch spot that we hadn't anticipated. I would happily tour with Fuji again. When you consider how much there is to see in Kyoto, we looked at this as a great investment. It made the rest of our stay more enjoyable because we could ease our pace.

Excellent option for touring at your own pace

Excellent tour ... driver was able to pick us up at the hotel on short notice. Communication was excellent via WhatsApp. We were dropped of at all of the sties and allowed to explore at our own pace. More explanation of the sites would have been nice, but was not expected based on the tour description.

Choose another trip/company to book with

Bad. You basically just get a driver, that’s all. The driver does not speak English and doesn’t know anything about Kyoto. Ours didn’t even live there. The description is completely inaccurate. The driver said he learned English on the job… too expensive for what you get. Highly advise against this experience.

Great guide!

Our driver was so helpful and friendly. We had a very challenging day with heavy downpours and he took us to every place we wanted to go. We had a great experience.

Lexi was a great guide. Took us to all of the locations we wanted to see and have us some great recommendations for restaurants she likes. A great time indeed!

Great for family visiting Kyoto for one day

My family of 4 people only had one day to do sightseeing and having a private driver was very convenient. Our driver was pleasant and was flexible to our requests for pick up and drop off. Kyoto was very crowded with tourists and traffic was terrible at the time of our visit. Having a private driver helped made our short visit to Kyoto more enjoyable and we were able to visit all the sites on the list.

Good driver

An extremely efficient way to see many sites in one day without the stress of trying to negotiate public transportation. Lexi was a very good and careful driver and gave us good directions when we arrived at the various sites. I would have appreciated more information on each place before we arrived.

Fantastic tour of Kyoto

Mex was great, he was fluent in English and flexible in adding to itinerary. He took us to JR station to buy bullet train tickets. Excellent guide and driver!

Best of Kyoto in one day!

We had one full day in Kyoto and this was absolutely worth it to see the best of Kyoto in one day. We had our 16 year old and 7 year old with us, so a family of four. Matsu was our driver and was a good, safe driver and very friendly. The vehicle was nice and comfortable. So convenient to be picked up from the hotel and dropped back to the hotel.

Great time in Kyoto!

Matsu was a great driver. He suggested and recommended places to go and didn't rush us and always told us to take our time. It was always easy to find him after we were done with our stopover. We never had to wait long. This excursion was good for us because it was hassle free since we had a driver to take us to the relevant spots in Kyoto and we didn’t need to worry about how to get from place to place. We also liked not having a tour guide follow us around as it gave us more freedom.

A wonderful day in Kyoto!

This was such a wonderful experience! Mex was so helpful and accommodating. We saw several of the main sites but were able to do it on our own time. He also made recommendations for coffee shops, lunch, and even a drug store run when we had a blister situation. We would highly recommend this as a way to see Kyoto. Thank you for everything!

Do not use it!!!

I do not recommend it. The driver had limited knowledge of the city, his english was very limited and he forced us to walk wherever the vehicle was parked.

Fun full day tour.

Fuji was very informative, friendly, funny and helpful. He offered terrific advise for touring the venues. I highly recommend him as a guide and driver. This was an amazing tour.

Day trip to Kyoto

Great locations and way to see Kyoto when you only have a day. We were disappointed in our tour guide, she was nice but offered no real guide or insight about any of the sites we were going to see. We were dropped off and picked up. Our expectation was she would have come with us and explained the sites as we were first time visitors. We could have just hired a taxi. The lunch spot she picked was fantastic and she was always on time and communicated with us very clearly through what’s app. I hope this improves as Kyoto is a wonderful experience

Matsu was a great guide....

Matsu was a great guide. He was personable and very prompt. This is not a guided tour by the way. They drive you to the sites and just drop you off - just in case you’re looking for more.

Great way if you know where you want to go

Our driver Lexi was lovely and a good driver and very accommodating and vehicle was great. We had a planned itinerary but changed it a bit to suit us. It was hot and it seemed like the whole of Kyoto was out. Highly recommend this option if you know where you want to go and have done a bit of research first (other than instagram or tik tok). Private Driver a must in Kyoto

My driver Lexi was wonderful . I had a chance to go to many sites . It was so efficient and it gave me ample time at each place . At my own pace. I loved I could wonder a bit in each area before jumping into the car and going to my chosen next location . I will do this again and again . It works so well !!

Great experience! Definitely worth it

Had a great time! Yanagi was very funny and respectful and answered all questions we had. He made sure we knew where to go and coordinated the entire day. He was adaptable to any ideas we had and he knew where he was going and what he was doing. This saved us a ton of time where otherwise, we may not have been able to see as much as we did if we tried to do this on our own.

Lexi did a great job getting us from one fabulous site to another in terrible weather. See saw so much more than we would have using public transportation. She even found some cherry trees in bloom even though it was early.

Awesome tour!

This tour was the best money spent in Kyoto. Fuji was our tour guide/driver and was terrific! He spoke excellent English and took us to all the best Kyoto sightseeing spots. The vehicle was extremely nice and spacious. There was 5 of us on a family vacation and he was very accommodating with our 88 year old grandmother. We so appreciated our time with Fuji, he made our Kyoto day so stress free, fun and educational. Mahalo Fujimoto-san!!!

Wonderful if you are short on time and want to see Kyoto in a comfortable and helpful way.

We had a wonderful time. Our guide was friendly, helpful and courteous. We were able to get a taste of all the places and even got ina. Quick stop to the market as well on our very short trip. Without the private transportation and guide we would have never been able to see everything in such a short time. The car was very comfortable as well.

Super fun knowledgeable easy to understand guide

Fujimoto is amazing. If you have a chance to go with him for the day, do it! He is safe as a driver, knowledgeable and most of all makes the day fun and interesting with his delivery of historical facts coupled with his personality! Every time he dropped us off on foot, he was at the meet point to collect us, just as he said. His recommendations for lunch and other points of the day were spot in. Our entire family will 100% book a tour with him and recommend his to our friends.

Great Way to see Kyoto without the hassles.

This was such a perfect way to see all the sites on our list. Fuji was great, picked us up at our hotel and made sure the day ran so smoothly. We appreciated not having to worry about details and just enjoyed the sites. 10/10, would book it again!

Great custom comfort tour

Great trip. Did it with wife and 2 boys (13,11). Driver was great. Will suggest and customize the tour for you. Make sure you have WhatsAp for communication and pickup. City was great. Make sure you do bamboo grove early - first thing. We did cuz we new it would get crowded - insane lineup going in as we left.

Cheery knowledgeable guide

Driver / guide was wonderful. He made our day better even though our timing of New Year’s Eve meant many places were closed or overcrowded. He managed to find some good places to take us to and find us a good place to eat as well. He was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. His humor was infectious and made the day brighter despite the gloomy weather.

A pleasant drive through Kyoto

Steven was a pleasant driver. He had great advice on how to get into the more crowded locations and away made sure we knew where to go. He was able to adjust our plans on the fly as we booked last minute and had been to some of the standard locations the day before.

Awesome service

Booked this service at a very last minute, did not know what to expect. Communication with the company was good, reply was prompt. Mr Fuji was our driver, he is super friendly and nice, esp to the kids. He made sure we were safe and comfortable at all time. He helped us plan our day and gave us few suggestions.. and even a plan B if our plan didnt work! We had a booking at Arashiyama rickshaw (which we totally would recommend everyone to do instead of walking the whole place) he brought us straight to the office and we were greated like a VIP. Overall it was a very pleasant trip! Highly recommended!

Our driver Fuji was amazing.He made suggestions about the order of places we wanted to see and was friendly and made the day an incredible experience. He was also so helpful if we had any concerns or questions.If you come to Kyoto you just get him as he will make sure you get the most for your trip.
