Could have been shorter

The upper part of the river between lunch and the dam wall was fantastic as the river was really flowing and the scenery, beautiful. Before lunch too much time was wasted floating around with the talks too long.

Ord River Afternoon Cruise

The captain, Joey was very entertaining and ever so knowledgeable. The scenery was fantastic and afternoon tea was delicious and so well organised. We both agree it was a 10 out of 10 day, and would definitely recommend this to everybody.

Awesome day up the Ord River and to the old Homestead

Brilliant day out. The pick up driver Jeff was very friendly and fun, the boat skipper Mabo was great fun, very informative and we had plenty of stops for talks and photos. Lunch was very good and Hazel out bus driver for the second part was great fun too and very interesting.

Relaxing cruise and lunch

Excellent dam to dam cruise down the Ord River and Lake Kununurra. Great scenery, knowledgeable tour guide, fun river trip. Great salad smorgasbord lunch. Thoroughly enjoyable day.

What an absolutely amazing day! Mabo, our guide was informative and funny, but he didn’t talk too much. The lunch provided was outstanding and way more than enough was provided. The scenery of The Ord River is breathtaking! The whole tour was fun, relaxing and educational, everything a tour should be. Well done!!!!

lunchtime cruise

Did the lunchtime Ord river cruise,our skipper Marbo and trainee Jana were excellant guides and Marbos local knowledge was amazing.Lunch at a secluded undercover area was really good,overall this is the best trip we have done and would highly recommend triplej for tours.And congratulations to Marbo on 3 years,well done

The wonders of Lake Argyle

An early morning start down to the boat ramp at Kununurra saw all 20 of us board a flat bottomed boat skippered by a very experienced boatman known as Mabo. He was full of stories of the Ord and Lake Argyle its construction and use including the wildlife of the area. After about 3 hours of cruising, we pulled in a specially design part of the river bank where we had a delightful lunch all organised by Mabo. We then continued cruising for another hour to the spillway where the cruise ended. Mabo then at the end of the cruise took over driving duties and drove the bus, taking us to the historic Durack home and then back to Kununurra. Mabo was certainly very versatile and entertaining. A great day spent in a wonderful part of the country.

Sensational day with Triple J

We had a sensational day with Jeff and Joey from Triple J tours. The boat ride was so much fun, Jeff’s extensive knowledge of the area and great sense of humour really made the day. The lunch was perfect. I would highly recommend this tour.

Ord river cruise.

We departed from Kununurra to explore the ord river. From the start we were supplied with an entertainment lesson regarding the river & surrounding country side. An enjoyable lunch was provided & after reaching the Ord Dam we were then ferried by bus back to Kununurra on the way visiting the Durack homestead. A very enjoyable outing.

So funny

I did Triple J's Sunset tour with Mabo. One of the best, funnest & informative tours. What great character he is. Lovely guy. Knows his stuff.

Well worth the trip very informative about the Ord River scheme

A fantastic tour of the Ord River scheme. Started with an excellent cruise on Lake Kununurra which was very informative and entertaining. Included lunch at an amazing riverbank location. Joey the guide/driver was very informative and entertaining and also an excellent driver.

This tour was excellent. Joey, our pilot and guide, is very knowledgeable, funny and experienced. Scenic cruise, lots of birds and wildlife.

Outstanding boat trip

This jet boat trip was one of the highlights of my Kimberley trip. It was outstanding. Joey handled the boat beautifully as well as slowing down to point out wildlife such as birds and other animals. He really seemed to enjoy his job and showing us the country. He quickly and skilfully set up a nice lunch by the riverbank. I couldn’t recommend this trip more highly.

Great day on the river

Great experience - beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife, hair raising bends and an unexpectedly good lunch! Joey was a veritable font of knowledge as well as being just a tad cheeky. Thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise. Would like to have had more time at the historic Durack homestead but had to cut it short because of commitments of a travel group on board.

I would recommend to anyone

This was magnificent and I say put it on your “bucket list”. Lucas our skipper was awesome he knew everything answered many questions treated us with his skipper skills and looked after us with afternoon tea. A real treat a gentleman and great knowledge of the entire system.

Fantastic commentary and excellent overall

A great day on the river - lots to see, and Dylan provided fabulous information and service for the entire trip. The lunch was great! Plus the added visit to Argyle Homestead - home of Durack family. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and an unexpected highlight of our bus tour through the Kimberley. Would highly recommend doing this trip.

Amazing Experience

From the morning bus pickup through to the afternoon drop off the entire experience was amazing. Our tour Joey & bus driver Hazel went above and beyond to make a throughly exhilarating experience… rate it a 10 out of 10. If in Kununurra it’s a must do!!!

Great river cruise off the Ord River

Triple J Tours run a great tour company. Booking was easy, they were attentive and followed us up so there would be no difficulties. They collected us from our accommodation and dropped us back at the conclusion of the tour. The first and major component of the tour was the cruise boat tour of Lake Kununurra and the Ord River to the Argyle dam. The cruise boat skipper and tour guide, Joey, was attentive, informative and a terrific representative of Triple J Tours. The second component was the coach back to town, and included a stopover at both the dam wall and the historical Argyle Homestead. Coach driver Hazel (like the nut) was considerate, careful, and keenly provided a great, informative commentary all the way back to town. This was a terrific tour experience and is highly recommended.

Tour was great informative and guide was knowledgeable. However it was evident that some people sitting at the front of the boat did not heed the request of the skipper by blocking the front to take photos not allowing others the same privilege. Also we were picked up last and did not see the wall near the irrigation channels and did not see this part of the lake unfortunate. Overall a good experience.

Great tour of the Ord River/ Lake Kununurra

Great tour of the Old River/ Lake Kununurra. Amazing boat that speeds along then nudges slowly into quiet lily lined waters. Knowledgeable driver/ guide who also puts on a tasty lunch! Glad we did it.

Incredible experience

The lunch tour was an amazing experience. Extremely well organised, on a very comfortable boat. Our guide Lucus was extremely knowledgeable. He would stop and show us things of interest. He new where all the crocodiles spots where. It was worth every dollar spent.

Great morning sightseeing up the Ord River

Our morning trip up the Ord River was brilliant! Our skipper was really informative and there were plenty of stops to look at wildlife; birds, crocodiles and bats. Great morning tea and lunch by the side of the river too. Highly recommended!

Excellent, informative

The trip up the Ord to lake Argyle dam wall, pur driver and guide was a font of knowledge and loved this place stopping pointing out sea eagles, a crocodile on the mud or eyes just in the water so much and fun lunch was great too

The best way to explore Lakes Kununurra & Argyle

My partner & I did this tour yesterday & couldn’t be more impressed! Our skipper was MABO who impressed with his local & river knowledge, has a good sense of humor & seemed to make a point of individual contact. I would highly recommend this company for their professional approach … and MABO!

Spectacular scenery through changing geography

Prompt pick up from our accommodation, friendly staff, your boat was very well stocked with drink and clean amenities. Justin was our skipper/guide, he was very knowledgeable and gave a very informative talks. Lunch was a delicious buffet of cold meats,salads and home made condiments. Whilst we were waiting for lunch we also enjoyed a cheese platter.

Great Service from pick up at our accommodation to end of day drop off. Boat trip was fantastic with Lucas as our Captain - excellent knowledge of the area and very approachable, answered lots of our questions. Highlight of the day was our bus driver Joey, who kept us thoroughly entertained on the way back to Kunnunurra. Lunch was also fantastic- well done Triple J !
