Half Day Thai Cooking Class in Ao Nang, Krabi

Amazing!

Amazing experience! A must do when you’re in Krabi. You get to choose 5 dishes to make. Our instructor was great, her family was there to help assist us all and they were all very kind and happy to help. Met some great people from around the world and walked away with fantastic memories and our own cook book full of recipes.

Overall, the cooking class was enjoyable, but the rushed pace detracted from the learning experience.

Five Stars, Great Experience All Round

Awesome experience! Lovely hosts who spoke great English! Was amazing to learn how to cook all your Thai favourites for back home. We got to choose what we made from a selection of options and got to then eat all of them so come with an empty stomach!! Would recommend for couples, individuals or families!

The best activity we did!

The best thing we did in Thailand! The women running the cooking school are so friendly and knowledgeable, they made the afternoon such fun. It was a brilliant way to spend NYE. We made delicious food, lots of leftovers which tasted great the next day. We have already made one of the recipes since coming home and can't wait to make more. My 13 year old really enjoyed it, family friendly activity for all.

One of the best things we did!!

This was one of the best things we did in Krabi, such a fabulous experience. The lady running the school and her colleagues were so kind and attentive and good fun!! The dishes we cooked were delicious and we came home with the recipes and can't wait to make them again! A brilliant venue with such a great view. Endless bottled water. A really great way to spend an afternoon would highly recommend! We had enough food left over for dinner the next day

We went as a group of 4, we were picked and dropped off at our hotel. Food was awesome and fresh, left full, full! Great experience! Would definitely recommend anyone to do while visiting Krabi!

It’s worth doing the course and the food is yum.

My teacher was friendly and explained everything well. She spoke good English and was obviously experienced. The workshop is clean and we’ll set up.

Great food, beautiful space

We had a lovely time cooking and learning about Thai food. The food was delicious and it was fun learning new recipes. The space is super interesting and open with a beautiful view.

A 10/10 class for beginners!

Had a great experience here! Brought my mom and grandma here with me and because it was only us, it was practically a private class. The ladies were very helpful and very nice. We learnt 5 dishes and got to take what we couldn’t finish eating back as well. 10/10 would recommend for any beginners to join this class!

Great cooking experience!

Overall great experience! We got to cook 5 delicuous dishes. Would have been 5/5 if the course was a bit more in depth, like spending more time on each dish and how/why it's done the way it's done. The view was really nice and the place was clean!

Great experience learning to cook Thai food.

From pick up to drop off this was an excellent experience. Don't eat before you go because there are so many dishes that you cook then eat you'll be stuffed full. A reallyinformative cooking class in a great setting. Thank you to the staff.

Must do cooking class!

This class made me wonder why I had never taken a cooking class before. Great instructors, big selection of dishes to choose from, nice clean kitchen, food turned out great and was so fun and easy to prepare. I was by myself and really enjoyed interacting with the other people that were taking the class.

Fabulous day activity

Excellent experience. Dishes were absolutely delicious. We couldn’t eat it all but they packed it all for us and we had it later on in our hotel and it was so good! We will definitely remake those dishes at home. Thank you!

Amazing Thai cooking experience

Highly recommend this Thai cooking school for a half day cooking experience. It’s well organised and you choose 5 dishes you would like to learn to cook. Basic prep is done for you - so it’s not overwhelming & difficult. Open area with individual stoves and woks. It’s a lovely setup and the cooking instructors were so friendly and helpful. Most importantly the food we cooked was absolutely amazing. you eat it once you cook it. We couldn’t eat all 5 course while we were there (we did try) so bought some meals back to our resort for dinner and they were delicious. Can’t wait to cook at home now we have the recipes and technique!

We cooked really tasty dishes! With the help of our teacher it was really easy to understand. I would rebook just to cook remaining dishes!

This was so worth the money! I recommend doing the afternoon course and skipping breakfast as you get to eat all the yummy food you make. I went alone to this and made Panang curry, spring rolls, pad Thai, coconut soup and banana fritters. So yummy and so fun

Awesome views and food!

Chef was very helpful! Learned so much and the food was delicious. The look out was incredible from the kitchen as well. A bonus! They picked me up from my hotel and were really great.

This was an absolutely delightful class with amazing views to boot. It is right next to a cool temple. You get to make such delicious food and learn techniques to insure your dishes are perfection! Was the mango sticky rice I have had and even better I made it :-)

Une expérience merveilleuse

Une activité incroyable ! Les animatrices sont super gentils et drôles. Ils expliquent super bien chaque étape et prennent vraiment le temps d’être avec vous. Nous avons passé un super moment et les plats étaient tous délicieux. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

5 umwerfend köstliche Gerichte werden gekocht, Kommunikation aber eher pantomimisch

Wir durften als Paar ganze 5 Gerichte aus einer reichen Auswahl wählen und gemeinsam zubereiten. Die Zutaten waren zum Teil schon vorbereitet (Sauce angemischt, auch die Currypaste). Das Kochen hat sehr Spaß gemacht und die Gerichte waren umwerfend gut! Ich habe noch nie so gute Frühlingsrollen oder gebratenen Reis gegessen! Was wir uns zusätzlich wünschen würden, wäre eine Currypaste selber zu machen - das hatten wir in der Beschreibung vermutlich nicht richtig gelesen, dass im Kurs eine fertige Paste verwendet wird. Auch würde es das Erlebnis noch besser machen, wenn die Kursleitern besser Englisch sprechen könnte. Sie war unglaublich lieb und hilfsbereit, konnte aber nicht wirklich Hintergrundinfos zur Küche, den Zutaten und sonstigen Fragen geben, da sie nur das Notwendigste auf Englisch sprechen konnte. Kochen geht ja zum Glück auch mit Pantomimischer Anleitung sehr gut, aber wenn man die Kultur auch ein bisschen näher kennen lernen möchte, würde ein sprachlicher Austausch sehr helfen. Trotzdem Empfehlung, da man ganze 5 Gerichte lernt und einen absoluten Gaumenschmaus erlebt (inkl. praktischer Abholung vom Hotel)!
