The city of Joy!

Group of 4 girls, we had an amazing experience around Kolkata! From start to finish, everything was well-organized. Our guide Muzaffar was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history, culture and details of the city and India in general and he could answer all our curiosities. The entire experience has been engaging and fun, with plenty of interesting facts and stories and we could visit many fascinating places of the city that we could have never discovered on our own. Muzzafar has been super nice, kind and very flexible by adapting the tour to our requests, in summary he took care of us in the best way! Thanks to him Kolkata became one of our favorite places in India and we will for sure never forget the city of joy! Highly recommended!

Great tour to see most highlights of the city

Muzzafar was an excellent tour guide for Kolkata. He provides a lot of historical context for the city, and the tour is paced well. It seems like he knows everyone in the city which is quite fun to see.

Great whirlwind tour of Kolkata!

Great tour with Muzaffer. If you’re short on time and want to cover all the great places of Kolkata, this is a perfect option. From iconic must-see’s (Victoria Memorial, Mother Teresa’s tomb) to artisans of clay murthi making and flower markets with a bit of British history mixed in. Would recommend.

Half day tour Kolkata

We took half day tour in Kolkata with Mr. Muzzafar… it was excellent experience, very professional and nice tour guide, highly recommended!

Not worth the money

The guide was lovely , he was the best thing about the tour however over priced for India. Basically just the flower markets and the outside of the Queen Victoria monument . It was inspiring to see where mother Theresa lived and worked but a taxi can get you to these places for a fraction of the price

A feast of history and culture

We had an excellent experience touring Kolkata with our guide Mr. Muzaffar Khan and our driver. Mr. Khan took great care of all the details on our way to ensure our safety and comfort. We had plenty of time at each of the planned stops despite the heavy traffic and limited (half-day) trip duration. Mr. Khan was deeply knowledgeable about the history and other stories related to each stop, which tremendously enriched our impression and experience far beyond sight seeing. He also answered many questions we brought up about the history, culture, customs, language, art, natural resources, and geography about Kolkata and West Bengal. We are motivated to read a lot more to follow up and deepen our understanding. He made us feel proud to have visited the city.

Fantastic tour of main sights

This was a fantastic whistle stop tour of Kolkata’s main sights in approx 5 hours. For those with only a day or so that want to see all of Kolkata I wouldn’t hesitate to book this tour. Muzzafar was an excellent host and tour guide. He was knowledgeable, very friendly and kind - buying snacks during the tour and kindly stopping off at a supermarket on the way back after I requested it. If you are doing a tour in Kolkata this is the one to book. Highly recommend!

Great Experience in Kolkata

Muzaffar was an excellent guide with extensive experience, making the tour truly enjoyable. He went above and beyond by helping take several photos and guiding me through Kolkata’s main attractions while sharing the city's history clearly and engagingly. Muzaffar also customized the tour to allow time for souvenir shopping, which I greatly appreciated. Highly recommended!

The best way to get Kolkata highlights!

Did a half-day tour of Kolkata to see the highlights while passing through, and thoroughly enjoyed it! I prefer to book guides locally, and Muzaffar was definitely a local! We rarely went anywhere, that he didn't know some of the staff. More importantly, I think he was hands-down one of the most knowledgable guides I've had in all my India travels. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great Tour

We had a great time with Muzaffar. He took us to the most important places and told us a lot about the history. He also takes some great pictures.

Willing to go the extra mile...

Arriving in Calcutta after 2 days of flights and layovers we awoke at midnight and decided to book a half day tour online for that morning. Within hours we received a gracious reply from our guide, Muzaffar Khan who picked us up as scheduled with a smile on his face and a desire to please. Since our formal tour was going to many of the places offered in the Half-Day Kolkata we asked Muzaffar to skip those and instead take us to the royal botanical garden and the birthplace of a Yogi who made a big impact in our home turf, Southern California. Throughout the day Muzaffar was attentive, entertaining, protective, humorous and more... Lunch at one of his favorite restaurants was excellent and it was obvious he is well known there, that celebrity seeming to have rubbed off on us as his guests. Tom and Patricia

Fabulous tour guide with white glove service, driver and AC compact SUV for private tour.

I did a half day 5 hour private tour of Kolkata with Muzaffar in November which included airport pick up and drop off (1 hour each way on top) and was truly impressed by the quality of his service which I'd describe as white glove service. From being picked up at the airport by Muzaffar and his driver in a nice Toyota compact SUV with AC blasting, to his ability to answer all my myriad of questions about Kolkata and India and the practiced tour he gave which covered every possible interesting sight I'd want to see of the real Kolkata, I was very impressed with the entire tour and it really eased my fears of travelling to India as a solo female traveller. I'd highly recommend a private tour for small groups with Muzaffar if you are thinking of visiting Kolkata. He also knows all the best spots to take photos and takes lovely photos for you without having to be asked, the hallmark of an experienced and savvy tour guide. The private tour was not expensive at all compared to its quality and value, and it may be cheaper if you book direct on his website.

Excellent day safe and well looked after with flexibility

I highly rate this tour with Mazaffar who was easily understood with all the knowledge of dates regarding the history of the city as well as providing a great easy flowing day with a tasty lunch. We saw all the sites around the city. Thank you again for the water and snacks. Sydney Australia

Half day tour kolkata

My parents and I are from Australia and had an afternoon tour booked with Muzaffar. Only problem was there was cyclone Dana this day..still we were lucky enough that Muzaffar was still happy to take us on a tour even with some flooding present in the city. I tell you what, it was 100000% worth it! We had the absolute best time and it has encouraged me to come back to Kolkata to learn more. Muzaffar was so friendly, intriguing and had so much knowledge to share on the interesting history of Kolkata. We could have talked about it for hours. The places we went to were well worth a visit , especially Mother House house which I found particularly moving. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are keen to get a taste of Kolkata, only problem is you will definitely want to stay longer once you have the tour!

Good tour and Service

Great tour! Was worthy and the tour guide Muzaffar had a deep knowledge of the history and interesting facts about each place we visited. Very comfortable transportation too. I will recommend them. It is better though to spend more time in each place if you are really interesting to see, read and take time on your own after the guide explain the most important information but will need to extend the time you paid

The half-day Kolkata tour immersive and insightful experience

For half day the your was very comprehensive and a great experience, Muzaffar our guide was very thorough explaining Kalkota history and taking us to live the immersive experience of this vibrant city, full of culture. Totally worth it. P.D if you have allergies or are immunosuppressed wear a mask because it’s very crowded, also wear covered shoes/ sneakers.

Great tour ...

We had a great tour of Kolkata with a very knowledgeable guide. Muzaffar Khan showed us some areas of the city that we didn't know of, and some of the better known ones. It was a very hot day, but we toured the city at a leisurely pace, in an air conditioned SUV. If your staying a while in Kolkata I would recommend taking this tour early on to get a good orientation/overview of the area.

Kolkata city trip

Muzzafah is so passionate about the history and culture and spoilt us with flowers from the market, snacks for our trip and lunch at the coffee house. We had a wonderful day exploring the iconic landmarks around Kolkata. Totally recommend this tour. 10 out of 10!!

Muzaffar is a wonderful guide who is hugely knowledgeable but is also welcomed with a smile everywhere he takes you. He has a kind and cheerful word for everyone. And Kolkata is an absolute revelation and a delight when you go with him.

Great 1/2 day tour of Kolkata key sites

We had a great tour seeing key sites with a packed 1/2 day private tour. It was a good way to know what we might want to go back to spend more time. We had an excellent guide who was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Thanks for making it a great experience

The perfect half day in Kolkata

The handsome Mr Khan was an absolute gem. His knowledge on the local culture, history and culinary delights was priceless. We were on a short layover and couldn’t have picked a better tour. The tour was interlaced with historical sites, buzzing markets with pit stops to taste the local cuisine. 100% recommend it!

Expert, fun guide with Muzaffar!

Muzaffar was the best guide! He gave us an exclusive look into the main sites and behind scenes views of a fabulous city. With good spirits and tremendous knowledge, he nagivated us through places like the post office, flower market, coffee house, and suspension bridge, St. Paul's, and held space for me to spend extra time at the Missionaries of Charity. He connected great with my buddy and I as Americans. He is a world-class tour guide, getting asked to tour the next day with a government ministry team. I learned a lot about the people, history, art, government, culture, and current society. Thank you, Muzaffar!

Excellent Kolkata tour!

This tour was a superb view of life in Kolkata supplemented by a historical overview. Muzaffar was articulate, clear, knowledgeable, and fun! We very much appreciated the extra attention at the end of our tour, making sure we were safely at our next destination.

Perfect Intro to Kolkata

What a great introduction to the city! The tour was fabulous and, Muzaffar, our guide, was fun, friendly and informative. Everything was a treat from the Bengali food/chai/coffee, the pace of the tour, the selection of sites and the company. Muzaffar was well known and liked at all of the venues. This was an amazing tour, we are very glad to book it. It was 6hours filled with lots of interesting information, but we also had some time to relax. Our tour guide Muzaffar Khan was very knowledgeable about Kolkata and India in general, we learned a lot with him! He was also very respectful of our wishes and changed the planning accordingly. We started our tour with a visit to Victoria Memorial and St Paul's Cathedral. Although this were maybe the highlights for some people, for us, as Europeans, it was not so special as we see these type of monuments/churches very frequently. So if you want to save time and explore the more authentic bits, I would advise to skip or shorten this part. We were happy that we did not spend much time in these sights! After this we visited Princep Ghat and had the 'best tea in Kolkata'. It was very delicious. We then went to the flower market which was the highlight of the tour. Muzaffar guided us through the narrow streets showing us the flower market from the inside and it was a very very authentic and lovely experience! We could see that some of the locals were surprised we were there. We visited Howrah Bridge and then went to the most peaceful part of the tour, the "potter's lane" in Kumartuli. It was filled with amazing clay sculptures of the gods and we could see the talent of those people right there working in front of us. After that we visited the vibrant college street, and had a coffee and snacks in the Indian coffee house. We were happy to relax for a bit and fill our stomachs with these nice snacks. The 'white coffee' is delicious there, made with added condensed milk. We finished the tour at Mother Teresa museum and tomb. This was also a memorable and very humbling experience. We highly recommend this tour and specially Muzaffar as your tour guide, you won't be disappointed!!

Muzaffar Khan is best guide we could wish for. He took us to places which really gave a good insight in the history and culture of Kolkata. He has a wealth of knowledge and is very nice company. We can highly recommend this tour if you have limited time to spend in Kolkata.

Excellent tour guide.

Muzaffa was great. Amazing knowledge so his explanations were detailed and entertaining. We discussed many issues around culture and values in addition to hearing about the colonial heritage sites. We had limited time and saw what we wanted so he was able to modify the tour to suit us. Well done Muzaffer!

Experiencing Kolkata from the inside

Muzafar, is a fantastic guide that has a passion for the city, the people, and sharing Kolkata in detail. He will take you deep into the city so you can feel the hustle and hustle of day to day life. I was just ahead of puja so the clay market was very busy and interesting. I am grateful for having Muzafar as a guide to this interesting city. I did not feel unsafe at any point during the tour. The book market and cathedrals were amazing to see. You will be walking to explore so pack appropriately. Thank you so much Mr. Muzafar.

This was possibly one of the most memorable days I have experienced. A jam packed day seeing and experiencing all the sights. Mustaffah was so professional, kind, funny and cared about our safety, full itinerary and memories. An absolute legend and totally worth the money. Don't miss out!

Excellent!!!

It was an amazing experience! I highly recommend this tour, especially if you don't have many days to explore the city. We got to see and visit the main sights, with the comfort of a great air-conditioned car. With moments of snacks and unexpected gifts during the tour, kindly offered by the guide. The guide is very sociable, friendly, flexible, understandable and excellent at presenting aspects of the city. If I have another opportunity, I will do other tours with this agency!

Great trip!

Had a great 4-5h tour of many spots around Kolkata with my 60+ year old parents! Mr Khan was very knowledgeable with facts of the city and patient with my aged parents. I would highly recommend this trip if you are new to the city :)

We just did this tour with Masaffar Khan and was very pleased that we opted for it . He is absolutely professional knowledgeable and genuinely helpful beyond his call of duty - all in one - which made it a great experience for us . Muzaffar is terrific !

Muzaffar is an incredible tour guide. Great storyteller, very knowledgeable about all kinds of Bengali and Indian history and culture, and a really well-planned itinerary. For our last stop, he took us to the what’s definitely been my favorite chai in all of India so far. I will definitely do another tour with him when I’m here next, and I would highly recommend!

We had an excellent tour. Muzaffar is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Kolkata. He shared a great depth of detail and was able to answer every question we had. What a great tour - my guide (Muzaffar Khan) explained all the sites really well and was attentive to my requests. I got to see what I wanted and was able to spend time at each site. No pressure was made to go/see/buy anything - it was informative yet not overbearing - academic in the right proportions - congratulations Muzaffar!

Best guide in Kolkata

We could not have enjoyed our time in Kolkata had it not been for our guide Muzaffar( hope I spelled it right). He was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, warm, kind, helpful in every way. I would recommend him to any visitor coming to Kolkata. We stayed three days, two nights. From picking us up at the airport to dropping us at the airport, he accompanied us everywhere. Visiting different places, taking us to Shantiniketon, taking us to different places for shopping on the last day, without his guidance it would have been impossible to cover everything that we wanted to do in Kolkata.
